Roman’s mind went shut immediately this happened. He shifted back trying his best to see in the dark.

Students murmur among themselves wondering what is going on.

The light return back after a while and they all let out a sigh of relief.

“That was weird” Patricia mumbled.

“This has never happened before” Barbara also said.

Roman gaze went directly to Annabelle, she was still standing on her spot chewing on her gum. Her intense gaze was fixed on him. He quickly check himself to check if he was stabbed or something but found nothing. He was perfectly fine.

Annabelle got to know what she need. This man knows who she is… Interesting..

“Okay, the light is back on” Mrs Georgia return her gaze to Annabelle. “You can now dance” She said.

Annabelle finally avert her gaze from Roman and look at her.

“I can’t dance” she said, shocking everyone in the room.

“But.. you said…”

“This isn’t my type of dance, sorry if I’ve wasted your time” she said lightly and walk towards the door.

Huh? Is she serious right now…

I knew she can’t do anything, she is just a freak!..

Roman moved from his spot and head towards the restroom just around the corner. He splashed the running water on his face and stared at his reflection in the mirror.

What was that earlier? She didn’t do anything? This is is really confusing him. He is definitely leaving this school once he get his hands on Jennifer.

Annabelle walked towards Ethan sitting on a bench with a book on his hand. She stop for a moment and observe him. She had never thought she would come across someone like him.

“Weirdo”

Ethan shifted his gaze away from the book and look up to her.

“Do you even know my name?” He asked raising his brow.

“Do I have to?” She asked.

“Wait what… We’ve been friends for a while now” He frowned.

“I don’t have friends” she said sitting beside him.

Ethan face dropped a little. “Right” he muttered looking elsewhere.

“Thanks for what you did earlier” She said. Ethan was the one who turn off the light according to her request.

Ethan return his gaze back to her and found her staring back at him. She seems a bit different.. from the first time she met. Wait! Did she just say thank you?

“You’re welcome, so why did you ask me to do that?” He asked but she kept quiet and advert her gaze. He sighed and bought out the chocolate in his pocket and place it on hand.

“I bought it since you like them” he said without looking at her.

Annabelle exhaled sharply staring at the chocolate, and then at him. For the first time, she let out a small smile..

Though, Ethan didn’t see it.

Liam bite down his lips as he stare at the cloth in his hand.

‘you’re so clumsy you didn’t notice huh?.. she obviously likes Ethan’ Liam recalled Selene’s words and grip on his shirt tightly.

“I wonder why Bastian didn’t come to school today, that’s weird.. cus he never miss practice” some guys came into the place discussing.

“Yeah, I guess he is at home fucking around with some girls”

“I wish to be like him”

“Hey Liam!” One of them called and Liam looked back at him.

“What?” He asked.

“Heard anything from Ethan?”

“No, and how is it my business?” Liam snapped, slam is locker and head towards the restroom.

Getting there, he let out a groan.

“What is wrong with me?” He muttered, how come he got upset all of a sudden.

He made to leave but got shock to see Mrs Charlotte standing by the door.

“How did you…”

“Really Liam? Do you think avoiding me is going to stop what is between you and i?” She asked with her arms folded.

“There is nothing between you and I..”

“Why have you been avoiding me? You didn’t even reply to my texts..”

“Geez.. for Gawd sake. Can you please stop bothering me? I’m not in a good mood right now so please stay the fuck away from me!” Liam yelled and made to leave.

“You know I have a video of you and I fucking each other, right?”

Her word made him halt and shot a glare at her.

“What the..” shock was written all over his face.

“And you know what will happen if that video get released. You’re still a student trying to build a life for yourself and I on the other hand is a single woman who can do whatever she wants”

If that video get released then Liam is the one getting fucked up big time.

“You’re a crazy bitch.. you know that” Anger was all he could feel at the moment.

Mrs Challotte held his trouser and draw him close to herself. “Now you know the punishment if you dare reject my request”

“Don’t do this, they are other guys who would love to fuck you but not me”

“I want you, is that too hard to ask.. now get your trouser down.. I want that cock” she whispered.

Jennifer got to the school parking lot after the class according to Roman’s request.

The place feels empty and a bit strange.

“Mr Roman!” She called out but no reply.

She frowned getting chilly vibe around her. She feels strange.

Just then, her nose and lips was covered with a black piece of cloth.

She tried to fight back the darkness creeping in but her body failed her as everything turn blank.

Roman pushed her body into the car. He tampered with the elevator and CTV camera in order to do his job.

He look back at Jennifer who was unconscious behind him. This is his last day in this school anyway. After this, he is leaving the country.

He start his car and drove off.

(ETHAN’S APARTMENT)

“Another night shift? Seriously this is becoming alarming. You only have nightshifts three times a day and now it’s everyday?” Ethan asked his mom.

“I do sleep during the day so I’m fine with it baby. You don’t need to worry” Mrs Serena said calmly and walk towards him.

“I can’t help it mom. It’s dangerous at night. I know you do get a lot of money from it but.. health comes first”

“The hospital has a lot of patients these days because of the weather. Beside I made sure to complete my Seven hours sleep a day.. I’m a doctor, I know how to treat myself”

Ethan sighed in defeat. His mom always wins every arguments.

“Fine, take care of yourself” he said.

“I love you son, smile for me” she pat his head.

Ethan forced a smile and she kissed his cheek.

“Stop mom, I’m not a kid anymore” He said.

Serena smiled and left the house.

Ethan made to go to his room but jerk when he saw Annabelle standing at the stairs top.

“Oh my Gawd, H..how long have you been there?” He asked.

“A while” her voice came out rapsy. Her face sadden a little but she quickly composed herself.

“You alright?” He asked lightly.

“Yeah, I need to learn about the computer as soon as possible” she said, and turn to enter Ethan’s room. Her mind lingered on how Ethan’s mom treated him. Why is she feeling weird?

Emotions, that’s something she hardly gets.

Ethan entered the room and drop a drink before her.

“It’s a cold chocolate drink. I bet you’ll love it” he said drinking out of his own.

Annabelle grab the drink and stared at it. They melted the brown thing? She wonder if it’ll taste good as the solid one.

Taking a sip, her face lit up a bit. She gulp down everything at once.

Ethan blinked severally. She really does like chocolate.

She turn her gaze to him.

“I’m not giving you mine” he decline before she could even ask.

“Why?” She made a sad face.

“Wow, I’m getting to read your expression these days”

“I want the drink” she said standing to grab it but Ethan was fast enough to dodge her.

“You had yours already!” Ethan pouted.

“I want more!” She exclaimed and made to grab it again but missed. She is actually careful in order not to let the drink spill.

“No, I haven’t drink enough yet!”

“I don’t care. Give me the chocolate!”

“No!” Ethan ran towards the other side of the room and she followed him.

“Let me have the drink weirdo!” She said.

Ethan made to drink out of it but Annabelle grab it.

“Let it go” he said and she did.. but the drink splash over Ethan’s face.

His face squeeze and the cold drink drip down on his face. “Fuck” he muttered.

Annabelle let out a smile, finding his face funny but her lips went down realizing that strange feeling.

“Did you just smile?” Ethan asked with his eyes half opened.

“You’re seeing things” she said.

“I saw you lips.. Arghh…” He exclaimed when some if the chocolate entered his eyes. He head straight to the bathroom.

Annabelle stood on her spot. She had run around chasing him and then her lips curve up. She got a strange feeling after that… And she didn’t hate it..

The beep from her small phone made her snap out of her thought. It was message from Scar.

Ethan came into the room with his hair wet.

“I have to go” She said walking towards the window.

“Wait!.. why…” He couldn’t finish his word as he watch her jump out of the window. “And she’s gone” he muttered.

He watch her climb on her bike and zoom off. He felt lonely all of a sudden.

“I wish she can stay longer”

Jennifer groaned out lightly from her sleep. She opened her eyes only to find herself tied in a dark room she knows nothing about.

“Jennifer”

Her eyes widened seeing who just called her. “Nana?”

“You’re here too” Nana said with a low sad voice.

Jennifer got the pieces together. Mr Roman abducted her? But why?

“Why are we here?” Jennifer asked in fear.

“They are selling us out… Roman is such a monster” Nana sobbed.

“Oh no, where are we?” Jennifer asked.

“On a ship. They are taking us far away to get sold”

Jennifer’s face turn paled.

“Is the ship ready?” Roman asked the middle aged man focusing his gaze on the file on his hand.

“For the millionth time yes.. the ship is ready” The man replied.

“Then why aren’t we leaving yet?” Roman asked getting restless.

“Were you trailed?” The middle aged man asked stepping forward. His eyes was cold.

“Uh.. no.. definitely not. I wasn’t trailed” Roman quickly said. The man stared at him for a while before speaking again.

“Better, let’s go in” he said and the made to leave.

A strange sound was heard..

Roman and the man stopped at the same time hearing the strange voice.

“Did you hear that?” Roman asked.

“Of course I did.. I’m not deaf.. fool” the man replied. “Are you sure you were not trailed?” He asked again noticing how restless Roman is.

“Of course not”

The man nodded and they both continue their walk.

The place was filled with containers with men preparing the ship to be sailed.

Getting to the ship, Roman let out a sigh of relief but that didn’t last.

“Sir, we have a problem” one of the men on the ship announce.

But then.. the light turn off…

Under the dark, her lips curved up into a wicked smile.. oh! She missed this feeling..

BANG!!

The sound of gunshots filled the place all of a sudden standing them alert.

“What the fuck!!” The middle aged man exclaimed.

His men fall dead to the floor like a piece of paper.

Jennifer was busy trying to release herself. Luckily, she has a razor that always stays in her pocket. She reached for it and manage to release herself. She did the same for Nana too.

The gunshots made them shudder. They hide as they watch the men heading the same direction.

“Do you think it’s the police?” Nana asked.

“I don’t think so.. maybe they are having a fight”

Meanwhile Annabelle stab on of the men on the right eye. She use her second hand to deepen the kinfe into his flesh. His scream bought her pleasure.

Roman hid around the corner praying silently for his dear life. There is no doubt, the person doing this is definitely Lord Smith’s weapon. She fights in the dark.

The middle aged man also sensed this. He prepared his gun and waited for the storm to calm.

After 10 minutes, the room was filled with blood. Annabelle stood at the middle of the room having her daggers dripping wet with blood. Her lips move gently as she chew on the gum in her mouth. She was wearing her usual black dress, her aura was dark.

The light turn on, and the middle aged man stepped out.

“Drop your weapon” he warned. “Or I’ll blow your head off”

“Vincent isn’t it.. you’re the last man in the Trial empire. We’ve been searching for you. Thanks to the nitwit, I found you” Annabelle said in a hoarse voice. Vincient is one of the Lord Smith’s enemy.

A bullet was sent to her and she blocked it using her daggers. She knew this would happen.

With a spin, she threw the dagger towards the middle aged man. It penetrate his forehead and sent him down instantly.

Roman palm his lips in fear. Of course he is the next. All the men are dead already. Before he could think of anything, Annabelle was before him already.

“Hello Mr Roman” she said.

“Ahh” he screamed and made to run but a bullet was sent to his leg. He fell to the floor.

“I’m glad you’ve seen me dance. Did you enjoy the show?” She asked tilting her head side way.

“Please, I’ll do anything.. don’t just kill.. me”

“I do not let go of my prey Mister Nitwit” She spoke lightly and raised her gun to his face. “Say your last prayer”

Out of anger, Roman yelled. “Fuck y…”

BANG!!!!

Roman fall dead on the floor with a hole in his head. He died with his eyes open.

“You” Annabelle completed his word then spit out the gum in her mouth. Her thought drifted to the chocolate drink she had before coming her. Her tongue itch to taste it again.

“A..nna.. belle” A shaky voice woke her up from her trance.

That voice is familiar.

She turn just to see Jennifer terrified look. She saw everything.

“Oh.. Crap” Annabelle muttered.
