✍️ CHAPTER TITLE✍️: DAMIEN IGNORED HER.

“No, that isn’t cute, she would prefer the grey color.”

“Yep, that colour is great,” Andromeda urged in a broad expression.

Vera will be back in two days and she anxiously couldn’t wait to see her again. It’s not easy staying here without her.

The both of them had only video call each other a few times, ever since when Vera left in the past three months. Vera always complains or gives an excuse for being busy, even when she doesn’t share what kept her busy.

Andromeda found her presence over here without Vera and as a torture. It wasn’t easy for her to separate from someone, of whom they’d been together since childhood.

Ever since they were born, this is the first time they’ve been away from each for a long period.

If anything comes up, both of them would still be together, no matter what. Not until Damien made Vera helpless and she decided to find a greener pasture for herself, while grieving in her emotional pain.

Andromeda knows that the period in which Vera left them for England was a difficult time for Vera too. She had hoped for Damien so much, only for her to receive a heartbreak.

If staying over there would help her heal, Andromeda would endure her absence. But since Bryan did what he did, the eagerness to see Vera increased in her.

She just needs a shoulder to cry on whenever everything is not going well. Someone to talk to for hours, and that would willingly understand her heartbreak. Someone that would understand her grief.

Vera would taunt her about her relationship and all, but she would delicately console her.

Since Vera also was heartbroken by Damien, and she mended it well, Vera should be the right consoler for her presently.

It’s been months after she left, Vera sure must have gotten over the pain by now.

Both of them experienced heartbreak caused by love, but one’s pain is different from the other.

Vera fantasized about being with Damien, but she couldn’t achieve that. She never got the opportunity to be with him, so she her heart got broken.

Andromeda fell in love and planned her future moments with Bryan, but he left her for another woman. Her heart is shattered because her relationship was possibly destined to have a future, fixing that Bryan didn’t ruin it.

Although Andromeda doesn’t fantasize about love, the way Vera would ever do. But, she loves the feeling that comes with loving someone.

That tingling feeling of joy, with the feeling of being accepted. The excitement of the touches that came from the man she loves… Everything is gone now and she’s alone once again.

“I’m thinking that all those wallpaper should be removed and replaced with something beautiful, but I would not want her to be upset later,” Andromeda murmured as she picked up a cosmetic bottle from the table while checking what it contains.

She wants to make sure that every possible thing in the room gets changed, just at the sight of them being worn out.

The workers had worked wonders in transforming Vera’s room into a breathtaking sight. Andromeda loved it already and she believes that Vera would love it more.

While everything was going on and everything is been kept in order, a quick knock came from the door with a voice that Annabel was familiar with summoning her name from outside.

Ops! She never wants her to be here yet. She might complain about Vera’s wallpaper like she always does when she comes in here…

“Mum!” Andromeda called reluctantly, as the queen blessed them with her enticing presence and aura, that appeared in the room with her.

“Why are you surprised? Don’t you want me to have a look?” The queen replied in a sweet voice. Walked up to Andromeda, pinched her chubby cheeks, and then found a place to stand quietly beside Andromeda, while her eyes examined the room.

“Vera is coming home soon… I’m sure you’re very glad about it. Here looks gorgeous already,” she looked up to Andromeda after saying, with a proud smile.

“I miss her so much….” Andromeda emphasized.

The queen nodded her head simultaneously, then smiled again. She smiles a lot, and that’s one sweet thing about her.

Vera was the one who took this trait of hers. Andromeda has more of her father’s qualities than her mother’s.

“I’m just helping Vera to keep the room in a good shape… but mum, why are you here?” Andromeda asked after answering.

The queen rubbed her head hastily, more like she forgot about something important.

“I already forgot about what brought me here… Someone is here to see you, Meda,” she replied.

Andromeda squinted her eyes at the queen, in demand for a proper response. She wasn’t expecting anyone’s visit, so who’s here to meet her?

And for the queen to come deliver the message to her, it must have been someone that she knows.

” Who is it? I’m not expecting anyone, Mum,” Andromeda replied lazily. She was sure that it was a misunderstanding. Who would have to meet her? She never asked for anyone’s presence.

“Are you sure you’re not expecting him? He came here a few days back with you, didn’t you approve of him coming back to meet you?” The queen asked and let Andromeda satisfy her ignorance.

Andromeda was silent, she tried to understand everything presented to her. It didn’t take a lot of time, it only took a few flashes of memories to remember whom her mother was talking about.

“I’ll go and see him,” Andromeda murmured to her mother and wanted to scurry out of the room.

The queen on seeing her reaction smiled heartily right behind Andromeda’s back. She had a flush of happiness, because she was happy that Andromeda is taking steps to move on already.

Andromeda might have never confided in the queen and shared her heartbreak story with her. But whether Andromeda shared any words with her or not, the queen knows better when her child is happy and when she’s hurt.

And to define that flash of surprise in Andromeda’s eyes when she finally remembered, it’s a good impression and a big win for the queen.

“He’s at the terrace! I asked him to wait there for you, and Damien is present with him!!” She childishly yelped behind Andromeda’s back.

Andromeda heard about where Caleb was, but since she didn’t slow down her steps to listen, she failed to hear the last part of the information.

Her steps were fast as they approached the terrace in the beginning, but once they were almost there, they slowed down their steps willingly.

Andromeda doesn’t know why, but she felt like her legs were suddenly heavy to carry as she was carrying them earlier

She had granted his request when he requested to visit her again, but she did not think about how awkward everything would later be.

Because she was in her tender and grieving moment that night, she couldn’t get a good picture of what he looked like.

Although Andromeda had described him as a sweet and concerned human ever since that day he consoled her, it would be great for her to see the face of who was her partner in grief.

He was likewise grieving in his thoughts that night… Why else would he go there if not to heal his pain?! He must have been passing through tough times and he needed to share the moments of it with the hills.

Andromeda didn’t get over her pain entirely because of his presence, but they weren’t much like it was initially before he intervened.

That embrace was partially enough to reduce her pain. And the few wipes of her tears, which were down by him, helped a shattered heart to mend itself slightly.

Even if both of them are just strangers who later found help in one another, they both supposed to have another opportunity to celebrate them over coming their terrible pains.

It seems like a long journey because of her slow steps but eventually, she got there. The one who first came to her sight was an idol in human disguise.

He was a descendant of charms. What always prescribed his aura is coldness, but what his presence resembles was a mini-god.

Damien sat down there, not in comfort and neither in discomfort. He was just there sitting while gawking around like a bored child would do.

After the queen entertained their presence with a few descriptions of what brought them here by Caleb, they willingly allowed them to stay there.

Damien was annoyed when the queen wad bossing them around on where to stay and not to stay. But Caleb’s hard glare at times is enough for him to behave himself and not create any trouble.

Nobody knows the reason why the queen was smiling sheepishly but, whatever is making her smile irritates Damien’s eyes.

The one Damien thought would be of help later turned him down, and he had to fight for himself.

Annabel’s company was to help him, but once again, Annabel choose the Butler over him.

For reasons known to her, Annabel refused to leave the car. The Butler too joined her, and after Annabel talked so much about it, Caleb and Damien had to let them be.

It’s not like Caleb wanted lots of people to come with him over here. He was annoyed at first for bringing many people with him. So, if Annabel wanted to stay in the car, it was in his favor.

But for Damien who needed an accomplice, his mood was delicate presently and it only required a little tension or some sort of annoyance, then he would reveal his hidden self.

When Andromeda came and was gawking hard at him, Damien didn’t speak. He glared seriously, but not in a rude way back at her.

The way she was staring like she hadn’t seen him before annoyed him so much. Although, he could not differentiate between the two princesses because they are identical. Yet, Damien knew that the two princesses had, had an encounter with him before.

“H_Hi…” Andromeda emphasized in a stuttering manner. She was surprised to see him and it was worth it.

She was here to meet the man who consoled her, so why was Damien here instead?! He couldn’t have been the one, that she was there to meet.

How is this possible?! Was Damien the man that she met? Was that the reason why her mother was exaggerating things?

Damien ignored her spoken words like she never spoke to him. He wasn’t interested in having any talk with her, because he had never done that in many years.

If it was to be before, he would have shouted at her for even coming to where he was or daring to speak with him. But since he came here willingly, he would not create any unnecessary trouble.

Annabel is not far from where he was sitting, she’s inside the car. But if she finds out that he creates problems for Caleb because he resents women, she would be really upset with him.

Damien isn’t ready to see Annabel crying and being sad because of him again, so he choose to remain quiet and just stare around.

Seeing Damien not replying to her, and with the way his eyes were moving around, Andromeda was left confused.

She wasn’t only confused, she was rendered speechless and doesn’t know what and what to say again. Why is Damien here?

“Sorry… Are you the one mum said was here to meet me??” She asked again. Looking intently at Damien and hoping he would answer her back.

Damien sneered and wanted to reply rudely, but then Caleb’s voice came amid their silence.

“Hey! Yes, I’m the one here to meet you,” he came into view and stood horizontally in her presence.

The moment Andromeda heard his words, she knew that he was indeed the man, that she was here to meet. His voice already showed it all.

“I’m sorry for his acts, he doesn’t like women,” Caleb knew that the princess is in a delicate mood, and Damien might have said hurtful words to her. Little did he know that Damien never for once acted like she was in his presence. He didn’t even speak to her.

“You got it? Give it to me,” Damien asked impatiently as he doesn’t fantasize about whatever Caleb was doing presently.

“Don’t bite me! You could have gone to get it yourself,” Caleb snapped and threw the ear_pod box disrespectfully at him.

Damien caught his ear_pods box, muttered a few insulting words, then he didn’t bother concentrating on Caleb or anyone again.

“Can we have a sit and talk? I’m sorry once again,” he apologized and ushered Andromeda who was watching everything innocently to have a sit.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know that Caleb’s girlfriend is the princess,” Annabel who came out of the car and walked up to Vera where she was restlessly sitting apologized.

Vera wanted to speak, but when she remembered that the driver was in the car with them, she stopped herself from speaking.

“It’s okay, we would talk about it later,” Vera answered and went ahead to gesture to Annabel, about the driver’s presence in the car.

Annabel quickly covered her mouth when she understood Vera’s sign language and what mistake she had made.

But Vera wouldn’t blame her for being like this, Annabel was just worried for Vera. Even Vera herself was left in a state of worry and imagination.

Vera had to think about how to protect herself presently, and she had to think about Andromeda being Caleb’s girlfriend. How is that possible!?

Could it be that Andromeda is hiding something from her!? Vera was confused and doesn’t know where to start thinking.

But presently, she would solve the bigger problem at hand, which was her being in her father’s palace.

And then, she would solve the remaining problem of what’s happening between Caleb and Andromeda when she gets back to the mansion.

“Enter inside the car Annabel, Damien wouldn’t be happy if he sees you standing outside,” Vera said and ushered for her to get back inside.

Annabel nodded her head and was about to leave, but then she asked, “Please can you come and sit with me before they get back?”

Vera eyed the driver who was obviously listening to their conversation, and without a second doubt, Vera came down from the passenger seat and went with Annabel to the back seat of the car.
