I walked to the dining to eat with my mum and dad, they gave me a curious face but I just ignored them, Mama came to serve me my food “Who was the girl you brought home last night” my Dad asked “a friend” I replied with my face down to my plate even though am not ready to eat the food,I lost my appetite this morning “A friend or a girlfriend?” Dad asked “Dad she’s a friend, just a friend” I said firmly “I know, I was only asking, your mum told me about her, She told me what happened to her,Why don’t you try and find out what happened to her,or have you?” My Dad asked “No I haven’t, but I will do that when I get to school today” I said.
I just don’t understand what happened to her, I expected her to tell me something before leaving. I am not mad at her, don’t get me wrong with that,I am not mad at her, I was only worried about her. I think I should talk to Tina, I know Audrey won’t tell me anything so I just hope she open up to Tina so that I can know what exactly is going on with her. Tina told me that she is 21years old and I think whatsoever she is going through right now is just too much for a girl at such age. I wonder where her mum was when she was getting hit last night.. I thought deeply.
My mood isn’t so good this morning and I look so down but I just can’t help it cause am so worried about her “ I know this is not you son, I don’t know who she is to you but I just hope you don’t let it get you down because if you are weak you won’t be able to help her and you will also make us worry too” my Dad said “thanks dad” I muttered “ do you mind if the guard drive you to school today?” Mr. Daniel said as he walked in. honestly I don’t think I will drive and I don’t want to disturb Kelvin so I guess I will just go back to my days going out with my guards again“ok thanks” I said to him while he smiled back before walking away probably to get me my guards “son eat your food” my mum said to me, then I realize that I haven’t even touch my food “am not really hungry mum” I replied “I know but I wont accept that” She said firmly, I grabbed my fork and started eating slowly as they both smiled at me, including Mama.

Audrey sat alone on her bed in her room doing nothing as tears flowing down continuously from her eyes. Her mum’s dismissal still seem like a dream to her. Her dad and step mum arrived that morning to bury her mum.
Audrey was so terrified to attend the funeral because she did not want to see her dead body. The doctor’s couldn’t find the cause of her death so they did not suspect a murder act. The reason why they investigated her mum’s death was because Audrey said Jamal was the only with her mum so she accused him of murder but they couldn’t find Jamal guilty and it wasn’t sucide nor murder.
The more she remembered how she called out her mum’s name but no reply, the more she became bittered.
Tina suddenly walked into Audrey’s room, the moment she saw Tina,She burst out crying the more, all Tina could do was to hug her and also cry with her…

Have been trying to call her but she wasn’t picking up her phone, so I decided to check on her at home and that was when I saw her dad’s new wife, I didn’t see her dad. She sadly explained things to me and I couldn’t believe my ears. Audrey’s mum was everything to her and the reason she is still living. Bad thoughts filled my mind and I couldn’t help but to think about how she is feeling right now, I don’t even mind skipping classes today to be with her.
I walked into the room,I saw my friend crying like a child, it really pierced my heart that Audrey is going through something like this, I wrapped my arms around her hugging her tightly as she cried the more “Audrey look at me” I said while I held her face up “look at me, am not going to leave you, I know mum is gone but you have to stay strong, please Audrey you have to stay strong for yourself, I understand everything that is happening to you right now but please don’t give up yet, don’t please” I said to her as tears dropped rapidly from our faces as we stared at each other for a while before she nodded in response. I hugged her again while rubbing her back….

Tina is not in school as well as Audrey, Kelvin and I already tried calling Tina but she wasn’t picking up. Now I started having the feelings that something is not right “Kelvin do you know Tina’s house?” Jay asked “yeah I do” he replied “then lets go to her house or what do you guys think” Jay asked “wait a minute guys,I will talk to the guards to go home without me” I said before telling the guards to go home with the cars they nodded and drove the two cars away. “But if we are going to Tina’s house we should stay low” Kelvin said “I mean we should speak to her in a soft way and try to convince her cause I have the feelings that she is not going to say anything to us” Kelvin said “sure no problem at least we’ve got Jay with us, he knows how to convince people” I said while Jay just smiled “don’t worry Prince, nothing is going to happen to her” Jay said to me,trying to brighten up my moods, I smiled at him while we all headed to Tina’s house,I went with Jay’s car, while Kelvin’s car lead us to Tina’s house…

I was able to put her to bed, we couldn’t talk much but she told me that she want to stop school for now. I tried to talk her out of it but it seemed she made her decision already, she really wanted to drop out for now and I felt really bad for her. she couldn’t stop telling me that she miss her mum so much.
I was told it wasn’t sucide or murder, I guess it was her mum’s time. But with all this problems she is facing now I hope she stays strong and learn to move on. I wont mind if she stay with me because I just want to take care of her.
I stood up from the bed and went to my bag to check on my phone and I saw some calls that I missed.
At first I thought it was my mum but as I opened the phone it was Prince and Kelvin that called. I guess prince has been calling Audrey and she wasn’t picking up so I took my bag and went back to check on Audrey, i need to go home and pick some clothes to myself, I cant leave her this way,I want to stay with her,She needed someone to be with her,I want to stay with her until she gets better,I walked out of the room and shut the door silently, trying not to wake her up from her sleep,Then I head to my house to get my things to Audrey’s house.

In front of Tina’s house, Kelvin and Jay’s car was parked there waiting for so long, they decided not to knock her door but to wait for her to come out.
They also expected her to be in school so when she comes back they will quickly come out of the car to stop her “ don’t you think we sould go home and check back later?” Jay said to Prince “ I know but I re… oh! that’s her” Prince said as they both saw kelvin running out of his car to stop Tina from entering the house, They quickly came out of the car and joined Kelvin to meet her.
Tina looked so surprised the moment she saw them “what are you guys doing here?” she asked as she stared at the three of them “ Tina we need to talk to you please” Prince said “about what” she asked “about Audrey” Prince replied “wh..wh..what about her?” she asked looking so confused “where is she?” Prince asked but Tina couldn’t reply them “look Tina, we know you are trying to protect you friend, but I believe you know us already even though you don’t know much about me I guess you know more of Kelvin and Prince, we are good guys so you can trust us, by the way Audrey spent the night at Prince’s house last night” Jay said “what! You mean Audrey slept at your house last night?” she asked “yes, she did, she called me to come pick her up on the street last night and she was really hurt,but she woke up this morning and left in hurry that she wants to go and meet her mum without telling me a single word about what happened to her,Tina please talk to me,is there anything going on with Audrey, please tell me” Prince pleaded “I am sure that this is because of that stupid Jamal” Tina said angrily “who is Jamal?” Prince asked “He is the younger brother of Audrey’s step mum” she replied “And what did he do to her?” Jay asked in furry “I really can’t say just that she always complains to me about him that he always try to do something weird to her, unfortunately her dad and her step mum went for holiday, so yesterday it was just Audrey, her mum and Jamal” Tina explained “does that mean that he tried to rape her and that led her running away from the house last night?” Kelvin asked “ wait a minute Tina, that means Audrey’s dad lives with two women?” Prince asked “yes her dad got a new wife recently” she replied “since her mum was at home why didn’t she stop Jamal from hurting Audrey?” Prince asked “her mum was asleep and she is disabled, she had stroke and she can’t move by herself, Unfortunately she died this morning” she said before she realize it, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand “ wait did you just say Audrey’s mum died this morning?” Prince asked “see I don’t know if i should be telling you guys this but I guess you should know about it, she was asleep only for Audrey to try wake her up but got no response from her” Tina said “Tina, I understand how you are feeling right now but let me ask you this, was Audrey’s dad and mum in a good relationsh¡p before he married a new wife?” Jay asked “No, they are not happy together, even before they gave birth to Audrey and it affected her so much ever since she was a kid, and the only maid who assisted Audrey and her mum was sent away by her dad, the worst part is that the he doesn’t even like Audrey too,Her Dad despise both Her and her mum a lot, Audrey’s mum was bestowed to her Dad but her Dad was not in love with her Mum,It was everyday beating that led to her mum’s illness,Her Dad has never treat both her and mum right, it was after that he got a new wife. Audrey can’t even ask anything from her dad because he wont give it to her and he even restricted her from calling him Dad. Before I left her house some mintues ago, she told me that she wont be coming to school anymore but what am scared of is that Audrey always said her mum was her hope,She always tell me that her Mum is the reason why she’s living and now that her mum is gone,am so scared because I don’t know what’s going on in her mind,I don’t want anything to happen to Audrey,Am so scared…
