Khalil POV

Leo barged into my office looking terrified. I wonder what happened.

“Khalid sees this,” He said and drop a file on my table.

“Another person decided to invest in the orphanage. That’s good.

Is that why you are worried?” I asked. “Am worried because of the person who is investing.

I am very sure he is not trying to invest but rather to compete with you” Leo said worriedly.

Why I was stunned at his statement. “Why do you look frightened. Tell me is the person some kind of demi-God.

Common the money I invested was charity not to gain. I didn’t make mention of that because I don’t want them to start praising me.

So is not a big deal. Am less concerned at what anyone does”I said not bothered.

“Steve Conor. I think you know him well” Leo announced. I was shocked.

“Do you mean Evan, boyfriend? That’s the stupid guy” I asked.

“Exactly my point. Is no one other than him? You know he challenged you one’s, I think this is just a trial for him”Leo said sweating like he was the one in this.

I don’t just know what to say. So, I just laugh it away.

“This is not funny, this guy is at it, “Leo said and hit my table.

“Common buddy, you know I don’t waste my time thinking about useless people.

What did he think of himself? I don’t have time to compete with anyone now. Already have a lot of issues going on with me.

So, why would I want to add more to my problem?”I heave a sigh of relief and rest my back on my chair.

“But am sure this guy didn’t only come to compete, he came for another thing. That’s why I am worried. We need to be extra careful” He said wiping his sweat.

So, better stop bothering yourself. you are ever sweating in,side AC. This isn’t good for you.”I said.

“Why are you this callous?. Sometimes I felt like you are emotionally challenged. Which isn’t true, why aren’t you taking this seriously?” Does he shout at me? For what?

Well, that’s his way, he always shout at me when I refused to see things from his point of view. I don’t know why am not that bother. Steve isn’t a challenge to me.

I wonder why Leo seems concerned, he’s some kind of God.

“Are you going to keep quiet without uttering a word?”He jolted me out of my thought.

“What should I say. Please, guy, let’s focus on Evan, we need to get rid of Evan. Please brother don’t be carried away. I will be more than okay”I said and stood up.

“Okay then, anything you say”Leo pouted.

Jasmine who has been trying to know the connection he has with Khalid took up the courage to speak with him.

“Mr can you tell me what you name his?” Jasmine asked.

“Wow, you’ve started behaving like my wife. That’s great. Well, I am Steve Conor. The only son and child of Conor” Replied with a smile looking straight at the TV.

“Steve that’s such a nice name but I still prefer Khalid to steve, “I Said Intentionally to see his reaction.

I smirk as he fumes. “If it was another person, I will have dealt with her for mentioning that name. I hate that name with a passion, don’t dare mention that name to me again” He thundered.

Her throat was in my mouth. Her heart thumps h-rder the way he spokes. He’s just like a demon.

She took up the courage and further speaks. “Why do you hate that name. Did anyone who answered that name offend you “Jasmine asked expecting an answer, but she wasn’t aware that she is just causing trouble for herself?

“I asked you not to talk about it again. Are you deaf “He growls and grips her by the neck.

His devilish eyes are reddish. Jasmine tries to breathe. “You are choking me”She spoke under her whiff.

He gro-ned. He released her from the grip and str-de out of the room and slammed the door.

Jasmine reclines on the wall breathing heavily.

“Common Jas, how could you be so dumb to ask him such a question?. You know he’s evil. So, why would you ask him?”Her subconscious mind said.

She hit her head for her stupidity.

“But you can just scour his room. He’s not here. Why don’t you use the opportunity to search his room, it is not like I am trying to get you into trouble, but this is a great chance for you. Common search quickly”Her subconscious mind spoke.

“WOW! What s great idea”She exclaimed, and walked closer to his nightstand.

She opened it to find nothing other than bundles of money.

“WOW!”She exclaimed. “Common girl, don’t be carried away” Her subconscious mind reminds her.

“What a foolish me”She further in her search.

She went to Steve’s dress room and try to open his wardrobe but it was locked.

“Is this guy mad? Why would he not keep any important doc-ments around? I hate him with passion”She fumes.

She went back to the room and her eyes met with the key on the bed. She str-de to take it.

. “What do you want to do with my key” His horrible voice spoke from the door.

Jasmine’s hand starts to shiver. She smiles cry, as she doesn’t know maybe to smile or cry at her luckless fortune.

“Jasmine you are doom!”Her subconscious mind spoke.

“I said what are you gonna do with my keys”Steve asked in a husky voice, and move closer to her.

“I am just adoring it. I saw the beauty of the key and I was carried away” Jasmine start spitting rubbish when she don’t know what to say.

“Admiring keys, that’s strange. I will make you speak the truth” Steve move a step forward.

“I die, lemme just die”Jasmine shouted, and fell on the bed with her eyes shut.

Maddy POV

Who could this Anonymous lady be? My brother is in love with her. Why won’t she show her face?

I need to help him, I will be writing my exams soon. This means I will probably travel back to America.

So, how do I help my brother? Sitting here hand fold won’t help me.

I need to find her in some way. At least my brother can be happy. I can’t let my mother put him in life suffering.

She can’t just decide for his love. Now I should start with whatever I am going to do. My phone beep. I check the caller ID, It was my friend In America, Helena.

I pick it up. “Hi, girlie, what’s up?” I asked.

“Am cool girl, any gist for me?” She asked from the other end. I know her very well. All she knows is the gist.

I already told her I will gist her about my brother’s marriage, but here I am stuck, trying to find my brother’s lover.

“Girl, no gist. I am stuck right now”I explained everything to her.

“That’s bad, but will you listen to my advice. You know am the smartest. My brain is always working” She blabbed.

“You’ve to started blabbing. Common say whatever you want to to say”I hissed.

“That’s it, you always think I blab. That’s why you don’t know anything” She said.

“You talk too much my dear Friend. I will have killed you if I am there with you”I threatened.

“Well well,” She said and explained all I should do.

“Don’t be too excited, you should know our exam is starting in five days” She said.

“What! how was that possible? but they say the date hasn’t been chosen” I asked shocked at her announcement.

“They announced the date today, I just arrived from where I went to check the course I would be having.

Could you believe it was mathematics” She said sadly?

“WOW! That’s good for you, miss math is my problem. If math is my first subject. I will be more than happy” I said teasingly.

“That’s you, miss guru. You claimed math is your best subject, but you can’t think for yourself” She shouted.

“I hate you,” I said. Something fell from behind, that’s when I felt someone was behind me.
