Richmond had to stand her up and hug her to calm her down and then Veera’s car showed up
She came down from the car and rushed to them, no one needs to tell her he’s gone before Jewel got there
“Jasmine asked the right question the other time, your parents must really be into drugs, how can they just pop a news like that without giving him any heads-up about it” Richmond said
” I know, they’re real devils” Veera replied
Jewel suddenly broke the hug and took Veera’s phone
” I need to call him” she said
“Five minutes ago..his line stopped functioning” Veera said
“What the f!” Richmond said
“What do you mean?” Jewel said, wiping her tears and sniffing lightly
” I think my parents blocked his line against all calls already” Veera said
” How do I communicate with him?, How do I?, When is he coming back?” Jewel said slowly
” Communication will be Impossible so far he’s still in Australia, and about when he’s coming back….. It won’t be anytime soon” Veera said
” What!, How am I gonna cope” Jewel said, hiccuping already
“Don’t start crying again please” Richmond said
“How can I not cry when we won’t communicate and he wasn’t even chanced to say goodbye!, I don’t even know when he’ll be back how can I not cry!” She yelled
Veera held her in place as she shed slow tears again
” I’m so sorry your love life with my brother has to pass through all this, I’m sorry, you’ll be fine I promise” she said
” Will I really be fine?, I won’t see him for a long time, I won’t k-ss him and cuddle with him…I won’t feel his touch and we won’t play naughty, I won’t call him my jerk and no one will call me witch, he won’t say he loves me and I won’t get to tell him that too… Veera I won’t be able to cope, I’ve gotten so addicted to Kingsley and I don’t think this will be easy” she said, sniffing as she talked with a red face
Veera and Richmond are slowly pulling her to the car
“You’ll be fine I promise, you’ll be ok” Veera said and they finally got her in,side the car
Richmond drove her back home while Veera drove behind them
They got to her house and Love is already waiting outside with Pearl, the lights are back
“Is he really gone?” Love asked
“Seriously?” Pearl said
“Yes he’s gone, his line is not functioning for now and we don’t know when he’ll be coming back” Veera said
” Oh my Jewel” Love said, guiding her in
“I’m ok” she said though her voice reveals that she’s not close to ok
” Daughter” Joey said when they got in
” Dad” she replied and went to hug him
“Is he really gone?” Rosie said, facing Veera
“Yes he’s gone” she said
“That’s just so sudden and sad” Rosie said, sitting on the couch
Joey kept petting Jewel and she won’t leave his arms

” Yes….she cried so much just like you did when he left but they met again after a year, there’s still hope and it might not be up to a year” Veera said
” I just hope he’ll be fine, he’s a weakling” Richmond said
” He gets high temperature anytime you guys have a fight and the last one yesterday, he almost ended up with fever but now that he has to be away from you, I wonder how he’s gonna cope” Veera said sadly
” Your parents are always like this right?” Rosie said
“You just saw a tip of their madness” Veera replied
” I’m mad too, but experienced madness, it has the right time to pop up” Rosie said
Joey took Jewel to her room and sat her on the bed
“You can’t go around frowning like that, smile please” Joey said
” My face refused to form into a smile” she replied
Joey stood and went to her dressing table
He used her l¡pstick on his cheeks and rubbed it excessively on his l-ips then rubbed excess powder before applying blush on his chin and forehead
He came back to her and Jewel laughed out loud
“What’s that on your face dad….” She said and laughed again
“You’re beautiful when you laugh or smile,if you’re sad…I’m sad too, smile for daddy ok?” He said
” Dad” she replied and stood from the bed, she hugged him again
” I love you dad” she said
“Love you more daughter” he smiled.

“Hey bro you haven’t come out of your room even after hearing about Kingsley’s travel” Artemis said, entering Jasmine’s room
Jasmine is on his bed, covering his head with his duvet completely
“I already told them their parents are into drugs but they don’t believe me, Kingsley is a coward….if I have his kind of parents I’ll not be a weakling like him, I’ll stand up for myself cos I hate what I don’t like, I only pity Jewel, that poor girl has been through a lot in the relationsh¡p already, I just hope Kingsley comes back as a real guy” Jasmine replied without looking up
Artemis took the duvet off his head and saw his scrunched up face
“I deserve peace Artemis, I’m in my room for the love of p*ssy” Jasmine said
“Pervert, what happened to you?, You’re not normally like this, is it the girl again?” Artemis said
” I don’t want to talk about it” Jasmine said and covered himself again but Artemis took the duvet from him again
“Artemis!!!!!!” He scre-med, throwing anything he lays his hands on at him
“I just care….I ain’t leaving if you don’t talk to me” Artemis replied
“Ok it’s her, happy now?, Now you can leave me alone” Jasmine replied
” Leave you alone?, I’m just starting bro, what’s the cause of the fight this time around?” Artemis asked
Jasmine sat up and sighed
” She said it to everyone’s hearing that she can’t date me, she says because I’m a Casanova and I don’t understand why she responded to my k-ss if that’s true” Jasmine replied
” She responded to your k-ss and yet she’s being like this?, Maybe she just k-ssed you for fun” Artemis said
” I don’t know, I don’t know how to find out if she’s saying the truth or not” Jasmine said
” There’s actually a way” Artemis said

Artemis whispered something in his ear and he nodded
” I hope it works” he said
“And now you need to leave this stuffy room and let’s go out” Artemis said
” To where?”
” Anywhere enjoyable” Artemis replied and Jasmine smiled

Kingsley is just getting to the castle-like mansion he’ll be staying at and throughout the drive to the mansion, he kept trying Jewel’s line but it kept hanging on its own, Love’s line, Pearl’s line, Veera’s, Richmond’s and Jasmine’s
Even Artemis and Natalie’s line are hanging
He got to the living room and kept trying but it still won’t change
“It can’t be…..” He said , suspecting what might be the case
He dialled his dad’s line and it went through, Kay picked immediately
“What’s going on?” Kingsley asked
“You must have arrived,….well while there, the last thing you need is distraction and that’s why I muted your lines to every other lines besides mine and your mum’s” Kay said
” What!, I have friends to talk to! Why are you f*cking doing this to me dad!” He said
” Like I said, friends are distractions” Kay replied
” I have a girlfriend I love so much!, I have someone I love! ” He yelled
” Jewel Hales, nineteen years old?, A student at our school?, The one Veera took in and lied about her parents?, Daughter of Joey and Rosie Hales who runs a bar?, Sister to Pearl, Love and Beverly Hales?” Kay said
” What!” Kingsley said
” We found out and that’s why Australia is an exile for you, that’s what you get for defying us…we told you no dating!, No dating but you disobeyed and fell in love with a poor commoner!” Kay ranted
” Why is it a sin to fall in love?” Kingsley said
“Cos all girls are worthless!, We’re just protecting you” Kay replied
” My Jewel is not worthless!, Kay my girlfriend is not worthless stop talking like someone out on a revenge!” Kingsley ranted
” By the time I deal with her and her family, you’ll know how worthless she is” Kay replied
” Don’t touch her!, Don’t do anything to her else I’ll do what you don’t expect!, Don’t touch my girl please” Kingsley said, hiding the tears that are about to fall
“Then do what I sent you to Australia to do with your full attention and forget about her…bye” Kay replied and hung up
Kingsley smashed his phone immediately and held his head
“Aaarrrrgg!!!!!!” He scre-med loudly, his body temperature is so hot as expected already and one pounding headache is disturbing him right now, his nose is running as a result of sudden catarrh already
“Jewel….. please don’t touch her… don’t!” He yelled as if Kay is there with him
The house is surrounded with more than forty guards, escape is Impossible

Korea…..7pm**
Jewel is in her room, staring deeply into space while hugging her pillow to herself
“Baby” she said, breathing heavily
“I miss him” she thought sadly and dropped the pillow before starting to rub the anklet on her ankle
That brought a reminisce of the night he gave it to her when he fixed it on her ankle by himself and told her it fits her, that was the night they had their first k-ss and it was so memorable
She licked her l-ips, wishing he’s here right now and when she remembered his touch again, she can’t help but miss him more
She tried his line again but it’s still the same, she has tried his line more than fifty times, hoping a miracle will just happen to make it go through but the miracle is not happening
She took her phone and her eyes caught the video she recorded during his drunkenness
She watched it repeatedly and that made her cry again but she quickly wiped her tears
“I can do it….yes even if it’s a year I’ll wait…I can do it Kingsley, I’ll wait for you” she smiled

Bianca entered Kay’s office without knocking and took her seat in front of him
Kay is busy on his laptop
“Yes?, Are you here to say you’re fed up again?” Kay said without looking up at him
” Shouldn’t we stop now?, He deserves rest now” Bianca said and Kay finally looked up
” Rest?, He’s just starting Bianca, he’s… just starting!, And go threaten Rosie and Joey like I said, tell them to withdraw their girls from the school and tell the particular Jewel to forget about him, else!, I’ll do what I’m good at” Kay said coldly

Love is reading with her lunchtime at the library when someone blocked her eyes with palms from behind
“Ry” she said, judging by the body scent
“You should be a detective” Ryder said and sat with her
” My nose recognizes your body scent and also….i…” She stopped
“Nothing” she smiled
” Sweet, I got you something” he said
“What is it?” She asked curiously
“Close your eyes” he said and she did
“Open” he said after some minutes
He opened and saw an hairband on the table, pretty with shinny design
“Whoa!, For me?” She said and he nodded
“I got it while shopping with my sis yesterday, she picked it for me when I told her I don’t know what to pick” he said
” Aww.. she’ll be so cute” Love said
” Yes she’s fourteen, her name is Roxana” RYDER replied
“How cute, I love the head band, I wish I have a mirror, I’d use it right now” she said, checking it out
” Should I help you?” He asked
“Huh?” She replied as he took it from her and stood, he came behind her and swept her hair in his left hand before using the right to band it, leaving part of it to fall on her shoulders
Throughout, Love kept blushing hærd, when his hand touched her scalp, it sent butterflies down her tummy
He came to the front after he finished bonding
“It’s pretty, I mean it” he said and she blushed again
“Caught you!, Your cheeks are red” he said and she quickly stood and grabbed her books
” Thanks for the head band” she said and rushed out..
Ryder smiled at the cuteness
“My cheeks won’t stop reddening at any slight thing, gosh!”. Love said to herself as she rushed off

“I wish we can just skip exams” Veera said, coming back from the restroom with Pearl and Romina
“Crazy you, you can’t, so you have to face the music” Pearl replied
” Jax?” Veera said, sighting him, climbing the senior class stairs with Richmond
“Richie!” Pearl called and he looked back, chewing gum s*xily
He flashed her an handsome smile and she waved, becoming red with blush
Veera waved too and when Romina waved, only Richmond waved back, Jasmine ignored her and left
“Did he just….snub me?” Romina said, feeling disturbed

Night**
Richmond came out of the car with Pearl and they stuck hands first before facing the crowd
It’s the enjoyment fiesta, held monthly by the largest store in the city….”Focus Stores” so it’s called Focus fiesta where a lot of fun happens
“Shall we?” Richmond said
“Of course” Pearl replied and they both rushed into the place

She slowly held his tummy and he started the race
“I love it Richie!, This is so amazing!, Whoa!!!” She scre-med behind him and Richmond laughed
” I told you you’ll like it” he said
Right now she’s not thinking of anything else, all she knows is that she’s happy!
“Thanks” she said
” For?” He asked
” Choosing to be my friend ” she replied
“You too” he replied and she smiled, holding tighter again
Richmond can feel her heart racing against his back
They finished riding and went for junks, they ate a lot around the stands before seeing an ongoing competition
The price is an extremely big cute pink teddy, a boy will have to carry a girl on his back and run till the end of the line
“I want that” Pearl said sadly
“Sure?” Richmond said
“Yes, the teddy is cute” she replied and Richmond bent in front of her
“Climb on” he said
“Huh?, No you can’t….
He pulled her to his back before she could finish and joined the contestants so they’re complete, five male contestants with a girl on their backs
Pearl held him tightly again and her palpitations started too
“So now our contestants are complete…. ready?” The director asked with the microphone
” Yes” they all chorused
“Go!” He shouted and everyone started running
“You’re not that heavy” Richmond said as he ran, two of the men are behind him and two are in front of him
“Fast fast!” Pearl said
“Shut up” Richmond replied and she smiled
Richmond added to his pace and soon he has just one guy to cross to be the winner
“Contestant 4&5 seems to be determined, let’s see who gets the Pink teddy!” The director said loudly again
” I was just joking Pearl, you’re heavy I swear” Richmond said, sweating lightly as he ran faster
” I’m sorry please I must get this teddy” Pearl replied
He adjusted her on his back and took just three steps to the end line and yes…he won…
“Yay!!!!!” Everyone scre-med
👥 Richmond Kings!
He dropped her and she smiled
” You’re a full package” Richmond said, breathing heavily
” So contestants 5 got the teddy for his girlfriend!” The director said and they both exchanged glances before looking at the banner that was hanged up
COMPETITION FOR LOVERS was written boldly on it
“F*ck” Richmond muttered
Pearl only slightly bit her lip
“Now the last duty before getting the teddy, a k-ss!!” The director said and everyone scre-med again
” What!” They both said
“No we aren’t a couple” Richmond said
“No k-ss, no teddy” the director replied
” k-ss!, k-ss!!, k-ss!!!” The audience stared scre-ming
When their eyes meet, they look away
“Damn the director” Richmond said before walking up to her
He grabbed her wa-ist with an hand and held her left cheek with the other
Pearl stared with big eyes and her heart is racing like crazy right now
“Take this as an illusion, it’s not real….let’s make it fast” he said and closed his eyes then..
He captured her l-ips and Pearl’s eyes almost flew out of their sockets when he k-ssed her
