“The twins birthday is coming soon” Mrs. Kim said, coming down the stairs.

Mr. Kim is sitting in the living room, sipping coffee.

“Wait…. They’re turning 19 by when?” He asked, dropping his mug.

“On his wedding day next week! Isn’t it beautiful? My son will be getting married at 19!” Mrs. Kim gushed, sitting beside the sturdy man.

“We should put more effort in making it special then, when are they going to check out their wedding dresses?” He smiled.

“On Monday!” She replied, sipping from his coffee.

Ruby was hearing everything from the top of the stairs, and she went back to her room immediately.

She got a pen from her books and stabbed the bed with it angrily, kneeling beside it as she imagined Celine walking down the aisle with Richie, it’s driving her crazy already.

She spranged up and entered the bathroom, came back clean after some minutes and dressed up hurriedly, then she rushed downstairs.

“Where to? It’s Saturday and we’re supposed to spend quality time together at home in the morning as always” Mrs. Kim said.

“Pardon me this morning mum, I have plans with Celine” she smiled.

“In-law things huh?” Mr. Kim smiled.

“I’ll be right back” she blew them kisses and rushed out of the house.

She drove all the way to Celine’s place and rushed into the mansion, meeting Mr. Nam in the living room.

“Ruby?” He smiled.

“Goodmorning sir, is Celine in?” She asked cheerfully.

“Sure, she’s still asleep in her room though. You have plans with her?” He replied.

“Yes. I’ll just go check on her” she said, climbing the stairs fast.

She opened the door to her room and truly, she met her still asleep in bed.

She walked slowly to the bed, looking at her hatefully till she got there

At once, she grabbed the pillow and was about to choke her with it when Celine’s eyes opened.

“Ruby? What are you doing here? And why are you raising the pillow?’ she asked, sitting up immediately.

Ruby quickly dropped the pillow and sat beside her, holding her hands.

“Why don’t we go out today? Next week is your wedding and you’d surely get busy, I even heard you’d be going to check out the dresses on Monday, so why don’t we spend the whole of today together?” She said.

“Why so suddenly?” Celine asked, and she smiled.

“I’m your sister-in-law, is it too much to ask?”

“No! I don’t mean it that way. Ok I’ll quickly go clean up” Celine smiled and quickly left the bed, rushing into the bathroom.

Ruby stood immediately, smiling evilly.

“Let’s hope you won’t die today”

Lady Genevieve entered Mabel’s room with a maid behind her who’s holding a cup of tea for Mabel, and shockingly, she met Janet in the room, sleeping beside Mabel. She actually slept off last night.

“What the hell is this! Janet!!!” She yelled, and Janet spranged up, her eyes widened when she saw her.

“What are you doing in my daughter’s room? What did you do to her!!!” Lady Genevieve yelled again, coming closer to her.

Before she could talk again, a sound slap landed on her face, and she gasped as she fell on the ground in front of her.

“I came to check on her last night, and I mistakenly fell asleep in here…

“Check on my daughter? How is her health your business you ragged woman!” Lady Genevieve kicked her, and she fell again.

“I’m so sorry my lady, please pardon me it won’t happen again…. I’m…

“Guards! Anyone out?” Lady Genevieve yelled, and two came in.

“Take her to my office” she ordered, and Janet was dragged out of the room.

Genevieve sat beside Mabel in bed immediately, and she began stroking her hair. Her eyes opened.

“Mum” she stretched, and Genevieve helped her sit up.

“Here” she took the cup of tea from the maid and handed it to her.

Mabel drank just little but spit it out immediately.

“It’s too hot!” She shouted, pouring it on the maid’s face.

“Go get another one done” Genevieve ordered, and the maid rushed out.

“Guess what?” Genevieve smiled.

“You got my tag from Dad?” Mabel replied.

“Tada!” Lady Genevieve brought out the tag, and Mabel snatched it from her immediately.

“Gosh! I love you so much mum!” She hugged her.

“Now Mira is so dead! So very dead on Monday!”

“Listen Mabel, a new VIP student will be at Horizon on Monday. She’s the only daughter of the former president Yoon. Heard her name is Yoon Mone,you have to get on her good side definitely, I need connections with her father” Lady Genevieve said.

“That’s not so hard, yunno I’m good at that” Mabel replied.

MINUTES LATER, HOUSE OFFICE*

Lady Genevieve came in and met Janet on her knees, then she sat in front of her and made to slap her again , but she changed her mind and dropped her hand.

“Yunno what? I think it’s hightime I tell the whole world that your daughter has been deceiving the management of Horizon! Should I ring it around that you’re my maid and not an investor? Or that your husband is in jail and not dead?”

“Then why have you been getting on my nerves lately! How dare you enter my daughter’s room without my permission and even slept off!”

“It’d never happen again my lady. Please pardon me this once. If i make any mistake again, then punish me!” Janet replied, and Lady Genevieve rested back on her chair.

“Of course, I’d kill you the next time it happens, now out!” She shouted, and Janet scurried out of the office.

She went to the kitchen and rested her palms on the island, breathing heavily for some minutes before sighing.

She had a flashback of when Richie offered to make her an investor, and she shook her head sadly as tears escaped her eyes

“I’m so sorry…I can’t leave my baby…I don’t ever wanna leave this house even if have to walk through fire” she muttered, wiping her tears.

MIRA’S PLACE*

The first thing Mira woke up to see on her phone was a message from Vista, and she scoffed as she clicked it open.

She hissed out and went to Lovelyn’s DM instead, typing a text.

RICHIE’S MANSION*

Lovelyn dropped her phone after replying Mira’s text, and she smiled, feeling pretty and special.

All the moments of last night are as clear as crystal in her head, and it’s beautiful as she replayed.

She woke up some minutes ago but Richie is not beside her, and she was about to start wondering when her nose caught the smell of something burning.

She rushed out of bed, and she put on his shirt when she realized she’s naked, then she rushed out and climbed down the stairs to the kitchen where the smell is coming from.

Richie is in with a burning pan of oil on the cooker which he’s trying to put out.

“Oh my gawd!” She gasped, rushing to him.

“What’s happening in here!” She made to go close to the fire, but he pulled her back.

“Baby don’t! It’s dangerous”

Lovelyn got a lid and threw it at the pan. Immediately it got covered, the fire stopped, and she turned off the cooker.

Her eyes widened when she saw packs of burnt rice and ingredients, even burnt meat in the sink. It’s everywhere.

“What happened in here actually?” She faced him, and he bit his lip in embarrassment.

“Was trying to make you fried rice as breakfast in bed. Trust me I made research online before entering the kitchen, but it kept getting burnt. I’ve tried four times, but…I dunno” he said like a kid, and Lovelyn couldn’t hold back her laughter at the cute guy in front of her.

“Stop it” Richie said and held her waist, but she continued laughing.

“Richie wow! You can’t cook? Gawd!” She laughed again.

“How do you girls do that shit? It’s hard” he replied, brushing her hair.

“It’s not rocket science, you only have to learn from experts” she replied.

“Will you teach me?” He asked in a seductive whisper, lifting her up to place her on the island.

“1 million dollars” she spread her palm, and he kissed the palm deeply.

“Goodmorning baby” he kissed her nose, and she returned it to his chin.

“You were awesome last night” she said.

“You too. I can’t believe we did all of that. Let’s make it more awesome next time” he replied, and she chuckled.

“For the sake of peace, I guess we’d have to keep our relationship private for now, till I can settle things with Celine” he said.

“How will you do that?” She asked.

“Leave it to me” he replied, and she nodded.

“Now do you mind getting your boyfriend’s number back?” He squinted his slight squint, and she got her phone.

She went to contacts and showed him his number, saved as LOVER with several heart emojis.

“I know it offhand, so it was the first thing I saved this morning” she said, and he kissed her screen.

“I love the nickname” he said, and she smiled.

He was about to kiss her when she remembered the company.

“You have to go to work, Richie” she said, and he squinted yet again.

“Oh…damn that place I wanna stay inside you throughout today” he replied, and she pushed his head away.

“Go clean up and I’d fix you breakfast . Something light like bread and toast” she said, and he placed her down from the island

He kissed her on the lips, and she quickly broke it.

“You can’t be late” she said, and he smiled before rushing upstairs.

She faced the mess he made, and she smiled as she began clearing it.

“Such a baby”

7:30PM*

Celine and Ruby left the Cinema just now, and they both yawned at once before laughing.

They’ve been having fun around since daybreak, and now they’re spent.

“Thanks to you, today was fun” Celine said.

“Was fun for me too, I’m glad you’re becoming Celine Kim soon” Ruby held her hands.

“Me too, can’t wait seriously” Celine smiled.

“Wait … Don’t you wanna try out driving? I’ve never seen you drive, you’re always with your driver” Ruby replied.

“Dad said it’s too dangerous for me. My hands shake on the wheel anytime I drive” she said.

“That’s not cool” Ruby replied and gave her the car keys.

“Try it out, just drive down the road and come back” she said.

“Should I?” Celine replied with a big smile and opened the car door, stepping in.

Ruby smiled when she drove off, then she got her phone and dialled a line.

“Yes. She’s coming now” she said and hung up, smiling ominously.

A figure hid in the dark area of the cinema, watching everything.

Celine hasn’t spent close to one minute driving when a white truck suddenly drove maniacally into the road from nowhere.

Her eyes widened in the car, and when she made to change her lane, her hands began shaking on the wheel, and by the time she looked up again, the truck was already in front of her.

“Daddy!!!!!!!!” She screamed, and the truck crashed directly into her car. The car tumbled.
