CHAPTER 47&48

“Interesting” Mone smiled.

Lovelyn pushed Bernie off of herself immediately, and a loud pop sound was made as a result of the sudden separation of their lips.

Instinctively, Lovelyn’s fist flew to his face, and she punched him heavily on the right jaw. His lip bursted as he staggered.

“I knew it, you’d never change” she muttered and walked out of the circle.

Bernie wiped the blood on his lips and made to go after her, but Mira blocked him, and he stopped.

“You’ve done enough Mr. Bernie Han, leave her alone and stay away” she warned and left with Hwasa.

Bernie remained standing, looking around on his spot to find all eyes on himself.

“Bernie what’s up?” Savage joined him. He’s just arriving with Vista.

“Why the f**k are you bleeding? Dude” Vista asked, and Bernie only sighed before walking away.

They exchanged glances and made to follow him, but they stopped when they saw the second scene of students surrounding someone.

“What’s happening over there?” Savage muttered.

“Chloe came back” a girl replied beside them, and Savage’s eyes became big.

“Chloe? Chloe…

“Chloe Shin…yes, the scholarship student of last semester” the girl replied, and Savage rushed into the circle too.

“This week will be full of fun, don’t you think?” Yuri said, popping gum in her mouth as she joined Mabel and Ruby after they came out of their cars.

“The only flaw of our gang is you, Yuri. If you had a tag, we’d have been perfect” Mabel replied.

“I…I know… I’ll get a tag before the end of this semester I promise” Yuri replied slowly, rubbing the strap of her backpack to hide her nervousness.

“Before the end of this semester? We’re graduating this semester and you know that! Better get it before the end of next week, else you’d be out of the gang” Ruby said.

“Was just about to say that” Mabel replied.

“I promise… I’ll get it” Yuri said, and they left her behind, taking the lead together.

They saw the large circle of students too, and they stopped.

“What’s happening there?” Mabel said.

“Let’s go check it out” Ruby replied, pulling her there.

They forced students out of their way till they got to the front, and they almost passed out when they saw who it is.

Mone is still standing there, relaxed. Still smiling.

“Ch..loe?” Mabel swallowed, and Mone turned her face to them.

Mabel shifted back fearfully, and Yuri did the same. Ruby fell on her butt on her own, and Mone couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Savage finally got to the middle and walked straight to her. Grabbing her firmly, he pulled her into a tight hug.

“It’s really you….you finally came back… Chloe I swear there’s no passing day that I didn’t think about you. I didn’t come to school on the day you fell remember? I searched for the hospital you were taken to. I searched like crazy, but I found nothing, your line went off since then but believe me I always tried it with the hope that it’d come on one day. Chloe I missed you” he cried on her shoulder.

Mone stood still for one minute, looking blank in the face, and in the next minute, she pushed Savage away from herself with a scowl.

“I don’t know anyone named Chloe. I’m Mone, the only daughter of ex-president Yoon! Let that sink into your skull!” She said, and another car drove into the park. It’s a black Jeep this time, and three guards came out of it.

“What took y’all so long!” Mone shouted crankily.

“We’re sorry young miss” they bowed, and she smirked as they stood by her sides, walking her to class.

Savage began wiping his tears, watching with mixed feelings as she walked away. He can’t understand anything.

She’s Mone? Then how come she has Chloe’s face?

He left the park, and Mabel released a heavy breath. Ruby stood from the ground.

“She’s not Chloe? She’s the new VIP student Mone? Then why is her face exactly like Chloe’s? Is Chloe a twin?” She said.

“I’m sure she’s the one I saw at the night out. She bumped into me when I was checking out the vibrator” Ruby said.

“We saw her at the convenience store too! We saw her together Ruby!” Yuri said, and Ruby nodded nervously.

“She’s the one who came to save Mira and Hwasa when I had them kidnapped the other time, who the hell is she? Is she playing tricks?” Mabel replied in confusion, and Ruby started biting her own fingers nervously, it’s so obvious she’s scared.

“Hey Ruby Kim, you weren’t even part of Chloe’s bullies last semester so why the nervousness? And besides, she’s not Chloe, they just look alike” Mabel said, and Ruby quickly took the nails away from her mouth.

“Oh…I guess I’m just shaking cos of the cold” she said, and Ruby came closer to her.

“Are you hiding something from us?” She asked, and Ruby smiled. She’s sweating so much.

“Keeping something from you both? Nah” she said.

Lovelyn actually went to the washroom earlier, straight from the park.

The girls trailed her though, and they found her, so they’re currently in the washroom together.

“Have you calmed down now?” Mira asked after Lovelyn washed her lips for the third time.

“I hope Richie won’t see or hear about it. I don’t want him to get mad at me” she replied.

“It’s ok lover girl, not like you kissed him. Bernie did it suddenly so…” Hwasa said, and she nodded, reapplying her favorite red lipstick on her lips.

“But… isn’t this still crazy? I mean… how can Mone have same face as Chloe” Mira said.

“What’s the story of this Chloe?” Hwasa asked.

“Well… despite being the scholarship student last semester, she was the ace of the class. I mean….she never gets less than 100 in every test and exams, she even corrects the teachers, so she had a lot of haters, and Mabel topped her list of haters together with Yuri” Lovelyn said.

“But Chloe is f*king stubborn. Despite being bullied cruelly by Mabel and Yuri always, she’d still come to school and write every test and exam, and she’d still pass, she was so very stubborn” Mira smiled as she talked.

“Then?” Hwasa said eagerly.

“Then one day the president organized his yearly banquet, and a male student plus a female student from this school were to go there and honour the president with a dance. A dance battle happened, and Savage was picked to go in the male category, Chloe was picked in the female category” Lovelyn said.

“And?” Hwasa said impatiently again.

“Mabel and Yuri almost died with anger and jealousy cos they weren’t picked. The next thing we saw the next day after the dance battle was Chloe’s body at the base of the rooftop stairs. Someone obviously pushed her, and she sustained injuries on her head and legs. According to the news we heard, she broke her backbone too and won’t be able to walk again” Mira finished the story.

“Wait…who pushed her down the stairs?” Hwasa asked.

“It’s still unknown till now, and in her absence, Savage refused to dance too, so it was Vista and Mabel who went for the dance” Lovelyn replied.

“And now she’s back as Mone to take revenge? That’s the only sensible answer” Hwasa said.

“She’s Mone, not Chloe. They just look alike so stop your delusions. Chloe is not even rich too so why would she come back in a purple limo as the ex-president’s daughter? Please don’t make me laugh” Mira replied.

“Can we just go to class already?” Lovelyn said.

“Fine” Hwasa replied, and they left the washroom at once, only to meet Mone in front of it, resting on the wall.

“F**k!” They all held their chests, and she smiled, leaving the wall to face them.

“Did I scare y’all?” She smiled.

“Mone” Hwasa said, and she smiled wider.

“We need to talk” she replied and took her hand. She began pulling her away

“I’ll meet you guys in class!” She told Lovelyn and Mira as she got pulled.

“Lucky her” Mira said.

“Why?” Lovelyn asked.

“Mum told me to get closer to her, but she seems to be interested in Hwasa only” Mira replied, and Lovelyn folded a fist in front of her.

“You can do it” she winked.

“Fighting!” Mira did the same, and they laughed as they rushed back to class.

ROOFTOP*

“Why did you bring me here?” Hwasa asked when she arrived with Mone.

“I told you last week when we met at the cafe that we’d meet again this week” Mone smiled again.

“But… you’re the richest girl in this school now. You stole the spotlight from Mabel already. I’m just a lowly scholarship student, why are you interested in me?” Hwasa asked.

“Cos I was once like you” she replied.

“Huh? Wait…. you’re… Chloe, right?” Hwasa asked.

“Why is everyone calling me that? I’m Mone, and I dunno who…

Hwasa grabbed her hands immediately, pulling her closer.

“I watch thrilling series, and I know how revenge is exacted. Don’t tell me anything else. You’re Chloe. The ex-president has just one daughter, and she died by drowning in the pool last year, though it wasn’t revealed to the public” she said, and Mone frowned.

“How did you…

“I just heard it accidentally, so I know what you’re trying to cover. You’re Chloe, not Mone, and you’re interested in me cos you were once a scholarship student like me” Hwasa said straight to her face, and Mone freed herself from her immediately.

She stepped back and looked away for a while before sniffing, then she faced her again.

“Yeah. I’m Chloe” she said, and Hwasa gasped.

“Now that you know, you have to keep my secret at all costs till I finish my mission” she further said, and Hwasa nodded.

“You can trust me, but…how did you become the ex-president’s daughter? And your broken back” She asked.

“I’ll tell you later, not now”

SENIOR CLASS*

Hwasa and Mone came in at the same time, and students turned their attention to them immediately.

👥 Mone is so pretty!

Mone took her seat beside Hwasa, and Lovelyn blinked.

“Are they friends now?” She muttered.

“I know what I was saying when I told you Hwasa is lucky” Mira replied.

“Mone, meet my friends” Hwasa suddenly said, and they turned back to Mira and Lovelyn.

“Mira Lee” Mira smiled.

“Lovelyn Jeong” Lovelyn said.

“Let’s all get along” Mone replied, and they smiled wider.

“Mone, do you know Rachel Gi?” Mira quickly asked.

“The business tycoon? She’s quiet popular in the business world” Mone replied.

“Really? She’s my mum!” Mira said.

“Then nice to meet you” Mone extended an hand, and they shook hands.

“Hey! Mone can we talk?” Mabel said, and she looked ahead to see her in front of her desk already.

“About what?” Mone asked.

“I’m very sure you know my mum, Genevieve Lee” she replied.

“I’ve never heard of that name” Mone said, and everyone laughed out loud.

“What do you…you don’t know the popular Lady Genevieve?” Mabel said shockingly, and Mone stood.

She leaned into her ear, and Mabel stood still as she whispered…

“Do you remember that day? In the restroom? You forced Chloe to open her mouth, and you farted inside” she whispered, and Mabel staggered back shockingly.

Her eyes are so wide right now, and Mone smiled. “I don’t know who your mum is, girl” she said loudly and sat.

Mabel rushed out of the class, and Mone turned her eyes to Ruby. Immediately their eyes met, Ruby almost entered her chair.

She started shaking again, picking on her nails, and Mone smiled knowingly.

THE FABULOUS LOUNGE*

“Didn’t I tell you? I said Bernie’s relationship with Lovelyn will get romantic and it’s already happening! Where’s my yacht?” Vista shouted as he entered.

Savage is in, sitting dejectedly on the couch with his face down.

“Dude! You ok?” Vista settled beside him, and he looked up with a slightly red face.

“Jesus! Is it still because of the new student? She’s not the Chloe you fell for. She’s Mone so stop it! It’s annoying bro!” Vista shouted.

“I held her earlier by her car yunno? I hugged her, and I know what her body proportion is like. Vista you won’t understand. I told you I saw her the other time at the night out and you thought I was being delusional, but now she’s back as…

“You’re crazy. You and Bernie are running mad over girls and it’s insane. Where the hell is that bastard by the way?” Vista cut him off and stood, leaving the lounge.

*

A WASHROOM*

Ruby was still shaking as she came in, and she rushed to the dispenser, releasing water on her palm to pour on her face at once.

She was panting as she washed her face in front of the mirror, and her heart was beating so fast.

She raised her head after pouring the water for the fourth time, and the freaked out when she saw Mone behind her in the mirror.

“Arggghh!!!” She screamed fearfully, falling on her butt immediately she saw her for real.

She shifted back shakily, and Mone squatted in front of her.

“I…I….I… just…was… please don’t…

Mone smiled when she saw her helplessness, and she looked down to see urine coming out of her skirt.

“You’re peeing on yourself, Ruby” she said, and Ruby tightened her thighs on each other to stop the flow of urine.

“Go clean up, you stink” Mone smiled again and stood, walking out of the restroom.

Ruby exhaled, panting harder as she stood, urine running down her legs.

PARK*

Bernie sat in his car, holding the wheel as he thought about what he did earlier.

He didn’t regret it at all, but the only thing he’s scared of now is the fact that Lovelyn might never forgive him.

He sighed and rested back on his seat, and he was about to shut his eyes when he saw the red Porsche in front of his car.

His eyes caught the plate number first, and he knew immediately that he saw it somewhere last night.

He went deep in thoughts, and he nodded when he realized where he saw it at. The clubhouse!

“It’s obviously a girl car, girls go there too?” He muttered.

*

SLEEK COSMETICS*

Richie removed his suit immediately he entered his office, and he handed it to Jacob who hung it.

He’s left in his black shirt which was unbuttoned at chest, giving him the hot CEO look as he took his seat.

“Do you wanna eat first? I can order something” Jacob asked.

“I ate before coming, just get me the write up about the upcoming products and reschedule my…

“The last time I checked, there are no maids in your house, so how? Did you eat your pillow overnight?” Jacob cut him off, and he looked at him glaringly.

“You got another job?”

“Sorry Mr. RK” Jacob smiled sillily, rushing out of the office.

Richie sighed and got his phone, then he snapped a picture of himself working on the laptop and smiled before trying to send it to Lovelyn, but something popped up immediately, and he clicked on the school community curiously.

Old students aren’t removed, so he’s still active, and immediately the video played, his mood changed.

It’s the one of Bernie kissing Lovelyn this morning, and the comments under it is even annoying.

• Bernie Han is obviously in love with Lovelyn Jeong!

• I’m so jealous!

• It’d be adorable if they date though, at least girls will leave Bernie alone.

• He once gave her mouth to mouth at the night out beside the river too!

• They might really date at this rate!

Richie dropped his phone after reading those comments. His countenance got ruined completely.

“The Han family sons won’t really stop tormenting me, right?” He muttered, closing his eyes as he rested back on the swivel.

“Boss! There’s a visitor at the lobby, but he’s without an appointment, and he doesn’t look like he’s welcome here” Jacob rushed in, and he opened his eyes.

“He? What’s his purpose?” Richie asked.

“He looks dangerous, and he said he has something to tell you about Lovelyn Jeong… I dunno” Jacob replied, and Richie raised his brows.

“Lovelyn? … Let him in then” he said calmly, and Jacob left.

Three minutes after he left, TSUNAMI came in.
