~ PRESS CONFERENCE ~

“First question Mr Wilmer. Why did you fake your way into a prestigious school pretending to be some one you arent?” One of the fifteen reporters who were present asked.

“Actually I did fake my age but everything else is the truth and the reason why I fake my way into a prestigious school is to find the love of my life” Calvin replied causing a stir amongst the reporters.

“Second question. Why go until the school looking for your love? I mean there are other ways you can achieve that?” Another reporter asked.

“There are but they weren’t working and I was scared to lose her to some one else since the last time I saw her was two years ago and by the way her identity was a close chapter to me,I never saw her face but then I thought I would recognize her due to some thing I know but I was wrong since she was beside me all along and I never knew” Calvin replied.

“Why did she keep herself hidden?” A reporter asked.

“She didn’t keep herself hidden, she just didn’t know that she’s the girl have been searching for since she’s lose a bit of her memory” he answered again.

“In the past you never showed your face in public, even when you had social gathering, you never attend any one of it. People said you were sick, is that true or is it because of some thing else?” A female reporter asked this time.

“This is gonna be a long one but I will try to cut it short. The reason why I never showed my face in public was because I was sick,I had a developed a phobia which prohibits me from touching the opposite sex” he began as the reporters payed more attention to him.

“That’s why I couldn’t go out for fear of touching a lady and getting more sick. I tried getting treatment but there was no cure but one night, my life changed and that’s thanks to the love of my life”

“Some how I could touch her, she cured me and that’s why even after two months of not finding her, I didn’t give up”

“I didn’t go to Wilmer high with bad intentions, I just went there in search of the girl who cured me and also stole my heart. If that isn’t romance then I can’t think of it any other way. It’s simply me finding my destiny, the girl I love. Others might see it as being stupid but I don’t see that way, so with this explanation of mine, I hope have been able clear your mind on it” he said getting up.

“But sir, there’s still more questions we have for you!” The reporters said wanting him to say more but Calvin was being led out by his guards who accompanied.

As soon as the car halted in front of his home. The first person he noticed was Beth mom who kept pacing around the front door.

Did some thing happen to Beth? He thought as he got out of the car hurrying towards her.

“Good evening ma’am. Is there…..”

“Can you come with me for a sec, I need to talk to you” she said pulling him with her good hand while he followed.

A while later Calvin sat on a chair in the room Beth share with her mom.

“I watched the press conference” she said bringing in coffee.

“Oh!”Calvin said feeling nervous. Is she going to ask him to stay away again? He thought cleaning his wet palm on his trousers.

“And I don’t need any one to tell me the identity of the girl who cured you” she continued while he nodded.

“To be honest, I don’t want you for my daughter cause I know it will lead to her being broken and hurt, have been there before and I know how it feels. I don’t want the same for Beth, she’s always been my support, my rock, the one I rely on and the one I keep striving for if she ends up getting heart broke, I will…..”

“You don’t have to worry about that cause i intend to be with Bethany for a long time. I won’t ever hurt her, she’s precious to me, a gold of mine. If I lose her then am incomplete” Calvin replied cutting her off.

“So you don’t intend to break up with her?” Beth’s mother asked.

“I don’t intend to” Calvin replied.

“Not even when you are seven years older than her?”

“Age doesn’t matter. It’s what we feel that matters and I won’t give her up just because you say so ” Calvin replied.

“So you are going to disregard my feeling on this?”

“I don’t intend to do that but I will make sure I convince you. Just as your daughter has grown to love me, you also will” he said getting up.

“If you have nothing more to say,I will take my leave ” he said walking out of the room.

He was almost at the door when he heard her say.

“Don’t hurt her. That’s the only thing I ask of you, don’t hurt her and please treat her well”

“I will, I promise” he vowed.

“Go to her, she’s been waiting for you ever since she arrived” Beth’s mom said.

“Really?”

“After telling me that she’s not going to leave you, she went to your room and have been there for a while now. You both are stubborn and I wish you all the happiness in the world ” she said, Calvin could only smile in return before running off to his room.

He found her sound asleep on his bed and his heart swell at seeing her there.

He sat on the edge of the bed and gave her a kiss on the lips which woke her up.

“Your back” she said hugging him.

“The press conference ended a while ago and why did you come back from your trip”

“I couldn’t stay on there and feel relaxed, I kept thinking about you and that’s why I decided to come home. Did it go well?” She asked referring to the press conference.

“Of course it did. It will be aired soon” he replied pushing back a strand of her hair.

“I missed you ” she said pouting her lips while he kissed her.

“Same here. Let’s both get some rest” he said pulling her back into the bed while he engulf her in his arms.

“Hmmm….you smell good” she muttered kissing his bare chest which was open due to the parting of his shirt.

“Stop that or am going to do some thing we might both regret” Calvin said.

I don’t feel regret whenever am with you” she replied temptingly.

“But I promise myself not to touch you again until you are a bit older” he replied and that got her sitting up.

“How old must I get for you to touch me again?”

“Probably twenty two or three” he replied making her gasp out In shock.

“That long?”

“Yes” he replied pulling her back on the bed.

“Your mom….”

“My mom! She didn’t say some thing to you right. I told her not to but she won’t listen and…..”

“She wishes us the best” he said.

“Really? Did she tell you that?”

“Yes. She gave us her blessing so stop fretting and make peace with your mom” he said.

“I will, I surely will but first am gonna spend more time with you”she said holding him close while he kept sighed in contentment.

A while later they both fell asleep and Beth woke up to see Calvin standing by the window sill talking on the phone.

“Who’s that?” She asked.

“Did I wake you up?” He asked as he set his phone aside moving towards her.

“Not really but who called? Did the the press conference go bad?”

“No it didn’t. Infact am being refered to as the latest Romeo of this generation” he replied making her smile.

“So what is it? What made you sad a while ago” she asked having noticed the sad look he had on.

“Am leaving” he said which ruined her good mood.

“Leaving to where?”

“China, Shanghai to be precise. Have got some business to do there but I will be back soon” he said hugging her to himself.

“When do you leave and for how long will you be at China?” She asked slowly.

“I will be there for a few months and am leaving as soon as I get a call that my plane is ready” he replied which got her tightening her hold on him.

“I don’t want you to go” she said sadly.

“I have to love, it’s important” he replied kissing her forehead and some few hours later Beth stood at the airport watching his plane take off with a sad expression on her face.

~ A YEAR LATER ~

“Every one gather around, it’s time for a group picture” Dexter called out and immediately Willow, Lily, Josephine, Eric and Beth joined In for a quick snap in their graduation uniform.

“Finally we are graduates” Eric said feeling proud.

“Yes, we are graduates but then we will be entering college too” Beth replied.

“My babe and I are both gonna study at Oxford, who wanna joins us?” Josephine asked holding onto Dexter who kept smiling at her with so much love in his eyes.

Some how after being rejected by Willow, Josephine found solace in Dexter who made her feel like the most priceless queen on earth.

“We might as well join you” Willow replied while Lily nodded in reply.

After pretending to be dating, they fell strongly for each other making their relationship a real thing.

“Sorry guys but am going to Harvard” Beth said.

“Same here” Eric replied too.

“Why the change?” Lily asked.

“I visited it last summer and I can tell you that it’s the best your gonna miss if you don’t study at Harvard” Beth replied.

“Really?” Josephine asked while Beth nodded.

“Then we all should study at Harvard” Dexter said in excitement.

A while later the others went to get some refreshment while Beth wondered around Wilmer high thinking about Calvin

He told her he will only be gone for two months but then the jerk has been gone for a year now.

She had accepted it because it’s something important for him but she had told him to show up for her graduation which is some thing important to her too and he had Promise to be here but then it’s past three and he isn’t here yet.

She thought as she sat on the bench reminiscing about the past.

A year went by and they are all graduates. After the press conference, Calvin became more popular and though he didn’t mention her identity, her identity was some how found out by the press.

She got popular at school and on the net and maybe that some how rub Katrina off because she drop out from school and left for a foreign country.

No one has heard from her ever since and no one is interested, she thought sighing out slowly.

“Am I too late?” Calvin said behind her and immediately she turned to see him standing a distance away looking as handsome and charming as ever.

“Are you angry?” He asked when she said nothing.

“Am sorry but the plane got….” He stopped talking when she ran into his arms hugging him very tight.

“Have missed you” she said crying on his chest.

“Same here” he replied pulling her back to see her face.

“Let me look at my heart beat” he muttered starring at her face.

“Only God knows how much have missed you” he said pecking her on the lips.

“Then you should have come back earlier” she reprimanded.

“I wanted to finish every thing before I come to you ”

“Did you ?” She asked while he gave her a nod.

“No more Leaving me okay” she said hugging him again.

“Am not gonna leave you and if I have to leave, you will be coming with me ” he told her firmly which she nodded to willingly.

“Where are the others?”

“They went to eat, we can go join them” Beth suggested but he pulled her back.

“Now that we still have the opportunity to be alone, I wanna give you this” he said pulling out a box which a emerald ring nestled in.

“Calvin!” Beth gasp out in excitement.

“I know you are still have a long way to go with schooling and other aspects of your life but…..”,

“Yes! I will marry you, yes!” Beth screamed at him before hugging him tight.

When she let him go, he slip the ring on her finger and they both shared a deep passionate kiss.

“So when should our wedding be?” Beth asked as they walk out of the garden heading to the others.

“Whenever you want” Calvin replied.

“I love you Calvin” She said with all the love in her.

“And I love you my Destiny ” Calvin replied.

Hand in hand they both went to join the others to give them the wonderful news ……
