Watching Verdun he cough blood then remain where he is, his so called brother laughed then walk away, slowly everyone begin to leave ” alpha??” Running to his side I bend down, he open his eyes then stare at me ” are you okay, you look so horrible ” before I could even touch him he slap my hand away from him.
” I don’t need your pity” mumbling he hiss in pain while standing up, I don’t see Nolan or Edward anywhere, they are not with Verdun during this painful time?? ” go away ”
” I just want to…”
” I said go away, just like others” he frown ” I don’t need anybody not someone I don’t know ” he growl and I remain still, he is broken, so broken that he refuse to cry, he refuse to say how hurt he is because of what Elizabeth did to him, how she treated him. He stand to his feet, struggling to move, ignoring his warning I throw one of his arm on my shoulder then place my hand around his waist to steady him ” what the… ” cutting him off I growl.
” am helping you to your room alpha and right now I just need you to shut up ” his gaze remain on mine, he said nothing, just let me do what I want to do but I could feel his gaze still burning into my eyes
” how did you know my room??” He asked the moment he sit on his bed, suspicion could be seen in those blue eyes ” have you been stalking me ?”

” because I love you ” titling my head to my left I watch him, he shake his head and chuckle ” what’s funny ”
” I do not know you, who I love hate me because am weak, Darius have taken my clan under his control since that was the bet we had” he look up at me ” why will you love a weak person as myself, someone that cannot transform to a wolf, even his ghoul side is weak ”

Everywhere become dark, the sound now is that of a little boy begging and a woman yelling at him, bright light came out again and this time I find myself in a room, a woman with dark long hair and red eyes is standing with anger in her eyes, holding a belt in her hand, belt that has trace of blood in it while a little boy is kneeling down with bruises all over his body ” how could Hafiz defeat you even Darius beat you up, why do you keep disgracing me”
” forgive me mother, I will improve” hearing his voice I know its Verdun, I move closer but the woman isn’t looking at me which means am invisible right now, he is not crying, even for just a little boy, he is strong ” I will try to make you proud”
The woman lift the belt up and hit his back once again, another mark appear on his back ” you better improve, you keep making me regret giving birth to such a person, such a disrespectful and weak thing. You can’t even control your ghoul side ” with each words she hit him with the belt ” are you about to cry??”
” no, a real man doesn’t cry ” Verdun respond with closed eyes ” a real man receive all the pain given to him ” when the woman is done she didn’t even give him a backward glance, she left with a hiss.
Verdun stagger to his bed then fall on it, he pick up a book then wrote something in it, leaning close I watch what he wrote ‘ I WANT TO GROW STRONG SO THAT MY MOTHER CAN LOVE ME, SHE HATE ME BECAUSE AM WEAK AND IF I DON’T GET STRONG SHE WILL HATE ME FOREVER BUT THEN I STILL LOVE MY MOTHER ‘
covering my mouth I look at Verdun, right from when he was young he has pass through things, it wasn’t his fault that he is like this, it wasn’t his fault that he is weak, he was given birth to this way so why will his mother treat him this way, no motherly love or whatsoever.
If I was Verdun I could hate my mother but Even after everything he still love her, he still cherish his mother, his heart might be broken but Elizabeth smashed it completely with her behavior.
He did say women don’t love him, how could he pass through all that ” alpha” bending down I wish I could touch him and I did, he turn around and look at me, confusion on his face ” are you okay??”
He nod ” are you a maid” I nod ” did mother send you here because she was worried ” his eyes fill with hope as I nod, caressing his cheek I couldn’t help but to cry, the pain is too much for him ” why are you crying miss ” he sound so worried while I chuckle shaking my head gently.
” am just sad because my mate passed through a lot ”
” I have heard of that” he smile ” your mate will love you even if others doesn’t ” I smile then shake my head ” is not always like that alpha, my mate hate me” mumbling he lean close then pat my head.
” don’t worry when I grow up I will meet him and beat him up because by then I will be all grown up ” he hiss his pain then smile when he notice I was worried ” don’t worry am okay, I can’t wait to meet my mate because she will love me, I will experience love for the first time”
” of course ” smiling I pat his head, if only he knew, if only he knew how his first mate will treat him, Verdun has really passed through something.

Chapter Forty One: FOREST OF MEMORIES 4
Everywhere become dark once more but this time I just got a flash of Verdun and Jones fighting, it was hard to detect their movement but from the looks of things, Verdun is getting more damage. Darkness come again then noise, Madeline voice ” surprisingly he is alright “she mumble then the light came and I can see Verdun laying unconscious on a bed, the room painted white and only the bed is place in there.
” is he going to wake up anytime soon??” Nolan voice fill with worry, they can’t see me, am standing right in front of them ” its been a year, he has been unconscious for a whole year and still no sigh of him waking up, did Dracula really give him this much damage ”
” he is lucky he is still alive ” Madeline mumble looking nonchalantly ” its not a new thing, Verdun isn’t has powerful as a full blooded alpha even his half side is weak, am still surprised he didn’t die in that fight with Dracula ”
” no body should know about this” Edward mumble this time ” if they ask about his where about, we should all say he went to meditate, focus on his life ”

” we have to go into the witches coven” Nolan chimed in ” they might have a spell that will be able to take you to hell ” I watch Verdun nod his head before standing up from the bed, did he make a deal with Lucifer, everybody knows how cruel Lucifer is, the only people he show kindness to are his loyal followers which are just two, delun and Lancelot
What if Lucifer harm him in this his quest for power??
This time it only took a blink of an eye before the whole place change, everywhere is so dark with red lights, blood everywhere, this must be hell, is nothing like they say in the bible, they is no fire ” why do I get to see such a weak creature has yourself ” hearing that voice I turn around, a man with long black hair tied in a ponytail grunt while looking at Verdun.
Getting a closer look I gasp at how sinfully handsome he is, his red eyes glitter with mischief, any one that sees him will definitely know he is wicked ” i have come for a quest of power ” Verdun groan ” I will do anything to get strong ”
” yes, I have heard of you, the half breed, the weakling among the Dawson brothers ” Lucifer voice fill with mockery ” who would have thought you will come to me ”
” I have no where else to go ” Verdun growl ” I will do anything to be powerful”
” anything ” Verdun nod while Lucifer grin ” kneel down ” Verdun look up at Lucifer with a furrow brows, said nothing then kneel down ” I don’t do anything for free half breed, I will give you enough power that it will be hard for you to control, power that when using it you will lose control of your senses, you will grow wicked because my blood will flow in yours, strong enough that only I and delun can defeat but… ” Lucifer smile ” I see that your mate did you wrong, a new one will appear in years to come but you dare not love ”

” yes, after taking powers from me you lose the privilege to fall in love, privilege to tell anyone you love him or her” Verdun look up at him ” but that’s not the main deal here, am taking your soul half breed, you serve me for the rest of your life and if by any chance you mutter the word I love you. You my dear creature will burn, burn into ashes” after hearing that I gasp shaking my head, Verdun did say he can’t mutter the word I wish to hear, is this why??
Lucifer is a twisted person, he must know that one day Verdun will say the word then he will die ” I agree ” Verdun mumble while Lucifer chuckle shaking his head, he use his nails to cut his hand, Verdun open his mouth while Lucifer just move his hand closer to Verdun mouth ” suck it ” Verdun take one drag before Lucifer pull back.
Nothing happen for awhile, Verdun part his mouth to say something but at that moment his body become to swell, he scream and I couldn’t help but to cry, Lucifer remain still watching him how he scream and then burst, blood everywhere but surprisingly Verdun is laying down on the ground naked ” you’re reborn half breed” Lucifer grin ” go and take what’s yours but remember, this deal remain between us three”
” three??” Verdun mumble looking surprise and confused.
” yes, your mate from future visited us ” Lucifer turn and look at me, he grin maybe because I thought he won’t find me ” am not called Lucifer for nothing Betty, once again..this deal remain between us three, you can go” and with that everywhere turn dark bringing me back to where it all begin.

Verdun couldn’t help but to worry, it’s been two days since he woke up then finding Betty on the ground unconscious, he had no other choice but to bring her over to Madeline ” why is she asleep, why won’t she wake up ”
” she isn’t use to her powers Verdun” Madeline growl ” she use too much without knowing the effect she will have on her self, getting into your memories shouldn’t be difficult but in her case it is, she isn’t use to her powers so over using it when her inner energy is weak can even result to death ”
” amor can not leave me, I demand you do something about this, right now ”
” maybe you shouldn’t have entered that forest in the first place alpha” she yell ” you know very well what will happen now that she knows what you pass through. Pity, she will feel pity ”

Standing to my feet I growl at the intense pain in my head ” what happened, where is Verdun ” growling I walk out of the room, the whole place is quite and am confuse, maybe this isn’t Madeline place??
Moving to where look like a living room, Verdun turn around the moment he lay eyes on me, Nolan and Edward are seated looking happy when they saw me?? Why is that ” amor??”within a blink of an eye Verdun pull me into his body, holding me tight ” I thought I lost you ” Verdun mumble tightening the hug
” stop ” I gasp ” I can’t breath!!” He losen the hug then look down at me, his eyes red ” where you…” Before I could complete my sentence he place his finger on my lips shutting me up.
” come ” holding my hand he drag me out of the living room, passing through the back door then upstairs to a weird looking house more like a garden, covered with glass ” where are we going??” Asking he said nothing, open the door then pull me in, he shut it gently.
Before I could admire the beauty of the garden Verdun pull me into his arms once again, remaining that way I inhale his scent and i couldn’t help but to cry ” am sorry!!!” Crying he withdraw from the hug, place his hand under my chin then lift my face so that our gaze can meet ” am so sorry, I told myself not to cry but I can’t help it, I hate all of them ”
” don’t ” shaking his head he smile ” I killed my mother amor” my eyes widen when he said that ” I know she didn’t deserve such an easy death, she deserve to be tortured then finally death “using his hands he clean my tears then chuckle ” don’t cry for those people amor and do not feel pity for me, am happy this way ”
” but Lucifer…” Biting my lips I try stopping myself from crying ” he place you in this condition and I ha….” Verdun place his finger on my lips then shake his head gently.
” don’t ” he lean close then kiss my tears away ” forget all that, what matters now is that am here for you and you are with me ”
” I love you ” mumbling I smile when his blue eyes glitter with happiness ” I love you so much Verdun and you know what, we are going to forget everything ” moving back I frown my face ” if I ever get to see your father or brothers I will squeeze them to death ” demonstrating how I plan to squeeze their life out of their body, I stop the moment Verdun chuckle, looking up I stare at him, the laugh actually reach his eyes, he look really handsome when laughing.
” you look so cute amor ” leaning close he bite my neck gently which made my face flushed ” so cute I want to eat you up ” looking up at me he lick my neck while his hand move to cup my arse pulling me closer.

” is your body hurting??” Shaking my head he smile ” good, I just want to feel you nothing else, at least not today but I have to be sincere with you amor ” placing his forehead on mine he cares my cheek ” time is running out for you, I will have you soon, sooner than you think ”
