“Do you think it’s working” Crissy ask Donald who has now moved to the window peeping after Alexia to see if she’s indeed leaving so he doesn’t respond to Crissy, she gets up and walks up to him

“Don’t be a chicken…..it’s going all fine like I thought…even better”

“But where could she be headed to at this time” she asks and Donald turns, he smiles walking back to the couch

“Where else…. She’s going to talk to him”

“That’s dangerous… What if he convinces her”

“Alexia doesn’t do things wrong, she hates being lied to and this, my friend is one of the things she won’t just take lightly”

“But it seems he already told her about me and him having an affair some time back”

“Yes he told her about Crissy the ex girlfriend but he didn’t tell her about Crissy his baby Mama…. So relax” Crissy doesn’t say anything but it’s obvious she’s not sure about what she got herself into too…….meanwhile Alexia is driving like a lunatic crying and soaking on her way to Liam’s office, she doesn’t know why God chose to send the two demons in the name of Donald and Liam her way…she’s going to end it all today so she grabs her phone from besides her, she scrawls through and gets up to Liam’s contact saved as ‘my love’ she let out a painful scre-m and almost drove off the road but she controls it, without wasting time, she puts his number on blacklist and throws the phone back…..

Liam is pacing up and down in his living room where he and Richærd are seated, thank God Glow is not around so he’s just being himself

“Calm down Bro… This pacing up and down will not help you” Richærd tells him

“It has intensified Richie…. My guts tell me so and I know it’s not something small”

“You and your guts….calm down and I’m sure there is something you can actually do”

“What could that possibly be”

“You can call Ale and find out”

“No no noooooo I can’t do that”

“You’re panicking, the last time I saw you this panicked was when Mirabel was in the ICU”

“That’s it….that is just it, every time I feel like this, something wrong happens but the difference this time is” he walks to Richærd

“I’ll die if Ale ends what we have”

“Who is even talking about Ale ending what you two have? You don’t know what she was calling you for in the first place”

“I felt it in her voice, she didn’t sound like she always does….something is wrong” he poses and looks around

“What are you doing” Richærd asks”

“I’m going to her”

“Like this?”

“She’s waiting” he grabs his car keys and runs out, he’s going to her house

Alexia has arrived at Liam’s office all looking furious and messy, her long hair is scattered as she open her car and steps out, the moment her feet touched the ground, she realises she’s barefoot but that’s not the issue, she closes the door by force and her long siphon dress gets stuck, she takes a step forward but she almost falls, she staggers and has no time to be all gentle and slow…… she applies force and gets the stuck dress out with making it to tear all the way now she’s good to go….. with her shoulder held up high, she makes an entry….everyone turns to her direction the moment she walks in but she has no time, people can see as she makes her way through to his office and people wonder what’s up with her…she gets to his office door and poses to catch her breath, she pushes open the door with force and she’s greeted by an empty office with everything intact

“What?…. Where could you be bastard…don’t worry, I’ll move this town all round till I find you” she turns to leave but stops when Crissy’s voice rings in her head,

“I’m sure the letter reached his office, I couldn’t face him, neither could I send him a text or even email” she shakes her head and turns, she looks longingly at his desk, she takes a step forward but stops

“No Alexia…. No you can’t do this….you have to look for him, he has to explain himself but not like this” she tries to assure herself but it seems her brain in saying one thing and her heart is saying another…in the end her head wins and she takes the bold step, she walks to the desk and her eyes wonder around, she doesn’t see anything strange….Then she sees the envelope, it has Liam’s name as the address, she picks it up and sits down, she checks and realises it’s actually been opened before….she dips her hand in and gets out a long letter, she unfolds it

‘Hello Liam, I know you were not expecting this from me, neither did you expect to hear from me like this…….however, there are certain things I don’t have courage to face you and tell you….. like what I’m about to tell you…….you are a great man and I was able to confirm this in the few months you and I were together, I have never been so fulfilled and so happy in my life like the days I was with you, you showed me what true love looked and felt like, I wish I could just turn back the hands of time and have you back in my life but it’s too late now……when you and I went our ways, I realised I had taken in, I got pregnant for you, I was excited about the news when the doctor said “congratulations you’re going to be a mother”…..it was a very Scarry yet exciting thing to absorb because I had no one by my side…I was all alone and I had no idea how it was going to be, a part of me wanted to tell you about it but you had moved on, I didn’t want to inconvenience you, to you the wh0le world meant Glory and I understood, I had to keep my distance from you and every other person who knew about our affair….. About a few months ago, i got a chance to work on some project with you, you were looking fine, better than when we parted ways, then I asked myself if keeping this little piece of news about your son from you was the right thing, my conscience couldn’t let me do it, especially when I thought about how much you loved children….I don’t want to be selfish, I know with time Theo will grow up and want to know about his father, I won’t have answers to give him so I’m giving the both of you this opportunity to get to know each other as father and son….contact me please after reading this…that’s if you care about what we shared, if it meant anything to you how ever small it may be…..Crissy ” by the time Alexia is done, she finds herself falling off the chair and gasping for air and she holds her heart with both hands, she’s trembling as she collects herself from the floor, her tears are mixed with mucus, she fixes the letter back in,side the envelope and she collects herself from the floor, standing up she lets out a loud scre-m before running out of the room to her car, people are more shocked than they were when she first came in, she gets to her car and opens it she throws the envelope beside her and she drives off at a break neck speed….

Liam is stuck on the road with a flat tire so frustrated and mad, he has been calling his mechanic for the last twenty minutes but the guy is not answering his calls, he now makes a call to Alexia because he can feel his nerves tightening and his heartbeat increasing at every second that passes….he tries Alexia’s number and to his surprise, the call ends before any warning and he doesn’t understand it……he dials Richærd who picks up so first

“Bro…tsup”

“I’m stuck on the road here and my mechanic’s phone can’t seem to go through, Alexia’s phone isn’t going through either”

“This is serious…. But where are you, I could send my mechanic and you can proceed on another means….wait for him, he’ll come with my car that you can use and he’ll bring yours back”

“Won’t he delay….I’m running out of time”

“You’re panicking for nothing…. Just wait for more five minutes or ten”

“OK…. Tell him to hurry”….

Alexia drives in,side her gate at once and packs the car not minding if it’s properly packed or not…she has been having a lot of thinking on her way back and she’s not going to allow her emotions to mess her thinking, she’s going to solve this with a cool head and she’s starting with Donald…. She gets out of the car and picks up the envelope and her phone, slowly she walks towards the house and stands at the door, she breathes in and out before unlocking the door, she opens and steps in, Donald and Crissy look at her in surprise, Donald is holding Celine in his laps and he puts her down the moment she walks in, he stands up

“Did you talk to him?” He asks coming towards her

“I don’t know what you mean by him because I never said I was going to him….but if the him you’re referring to is my boyfriend, that’s between him and I” Donald retreats as she walks to her daughter, she k-sses her forehead

“Darling…. Can you go watch cartoon up in Eddy’s room please”

“OK Mummy…. Bye Daddy” Celine runs up and Alexia watches till when she disappears and she sits down, putting her phone and the envelope next to her

“So where were we?” She asks and Donald turns to look at Crissy

“Looks like you both never expected this” Alexia says turning her gaze towards Crissy and then to Donald

“Tell me something Donald…. This should be about this woman right here and me plus Liam, but turns out it was you who brought her in…did you two know each other from before?” Donald didn’t see this coming but before he can answer, there is a loud bang, not a knock at the door

“Just a moment” Alexia says and walks to the door, she opens and comes face to face with him

“Babe” Liam calls all breathless, he wants to k-ss her but she avoids his l-ips so he ends up k-ssing her cheek instead

“Come in” she says standing aside and he steps in only to come face to face with Crissy seated down

“Crissy” he calls and she stands up coming towards him

“What are you doing here in Alexia’s house” he asks

“We need to talk” she says calmly and Liam turns to Alexia

“Babe” he calls and Alexia walks to her couch

“Donald here and miss Crissy have something to tell you” she says but they both can’t talk

“Can someone tell me what’s going on in here?” Alexia now grabs the envelope and walks to him

“Here” he hands it over to him

“What’s this?” He asks

“Read through and you’ll understand” he opens the envelope and unfolds the letter, he reads through unshaken making Alexia confused, he finishes and turns to Crissy

“Where is the boy?” He asks calmly

“Well I had no time to….”

“You had no time to go pick him up from wherever he is but you had enough time to come with this envelope all the way here to her house” he points at Alexia

“How come you had not told me about this alleged son of mine for all this time but you only surfaced today”

“I sent you a letter”

“A letter?” He asks and Alexia stands up

“Yes, the letter you kept in your office Liam… Don’t even deny it because I went there myself and I got it, when I got it…someone had already opened it and that someone Liam can only be you”

“Ale…even you?” He turns to her but Alexia doesn’t respond but Liam still turns to Crissy who is all crying and looking down now

“When did you send me the letter because I have never received any letter”

“About a month ago” she answers

“About a month ago? Ale” he turns to Alexia calling her name

“About a month ago… I wasn’t regular in the office but my assistant kept everything be it letters or whatever but I can also vividly remember I have not opened any of the letters I received…. So did you by any chance”

“What are you insinuating?” Donald asks and Liam turns to him

“I’m not insinuating anything but what I’m saying is that the first day I resumed office fully was today, and it was today I received an unpleasant visitor….I happened to leave that person in my office because apparently he didn’t want to leave……and now, my ex girlfriend shows up, not in my house, but in the house of my girlfriend with a claim that….”

“It’s not a claim Liam….. You’re the father of my child and you can’t deny it”

“Calm down Christina…… I never said that…..what I’m asking is how did you find out about Alexia”

“Well…I talked to her husband here….”

“You see I had gone to seek her out because”

“Because you had snooped around my office right after I left you in there….you went through my stuff and found a closed envelope I had not opened and you read through…. And then what did you do? You went looking for this woman, brought her to Ale here and then what, try to taint me as the demon well and fine…..I acknowledge the child” Crissy is even shocked and Alexia walks up to Donald

“Wait a minute Liam…. You mean Donald here”

“Yes….he went to my office, and we had a fight…. He obviously wants you back but I don’t like the way he’s doing it….” Liam is all furious as he grabs Crissy with one hand and she winches in pain as she stands up on her feet

“Tell me everything you and this man right here discussed, you know me, you don’t want to lie” she trembles a bit

“Speak up” he scre-ms

“Well he came seeking me out from my office”

“And”

“And talked about how he loves his wife here and how you had come between them”

“And” she looks at Donald and he doesn’t look any bit scared

“Let go of me Liam, you’re hurting me” he let her loose and she grabs her bag

“I’m coming for you….we’ll do a paternity test…you hear me” she grabs her bag and walks out in tears, now the three of them are left, even Alexia who thought she had it all figured out is confused with how Liam is solving this issue still looking cool and not even scared….he turns to Donald

“I don’t know what your problem is but whatever you want, if you want your wife back, don’t go through my past OK because you’ll not like that side of me”

“I’m not scared of you”

“I know” he walks to Alexia who is all speechless

“We need to talk” he says

“How about we start with why you and my son ganged and betrayed me with Isabel” she says

“So that’s why you called me and you were sounding like that over the phone?” He asks all cool

“You’re taking this lightly but it’s not….you of all people know how I cried when this bastard betrayed me with Cecilia”

“I do want to talk about Eddy and Isabel but not like this, too many things at the same time…let’s go and talk” he takes her by the hand and she removes her hand from him

“Sorry Liam but we are not talking…. I don’t ever want to see you”

“Just like that?” He asks and at this point Donald’s ears grow

“Is it about me helping Eddy by offering a piece of advice or the alleged child” she doesn’t answer but turns to Donald

“I think you have overstayed your stay Donald… Get out” she says and he nodes without any word….now it’s Liam and Alexia left, she can’t control her tears and he can’t either

“You were saying” he manages to ask

“Liam why? I trusted you, I relied on you for the truth”

“I’m so sorry for I broke my Promise”

“He’s my son Liam, my only son and this was not just some random girl…she’s the niece of the woman who hurt me”

“Still I’m sorry, for betraying you, for lying to you and for all that I might not mention at this time but I love you”

“Leave” she says and he doesn’t move

“It’s over”

“I’ll leave Alexia…. But before I leave, I want you to know that you and I have a story, only you and I know that story because you and I wrote it…don’t let anyone tell you anything else because people who hate those who touch glory still exist…. Only you and I accepted this journey since we met, let the world come to judge the one who loves, you’re the one I needed and you turned out to be just as I expected…..I don’t regret loving you because what we have and what I feel is so sincere….if I intentionally hurt any one in the past, let what we have built be destroyed, let the invisible and the brave come to erase it, to steal the warmth of these k-sses that my l-ips gave you…but I beg you, let what’s ours stay hours because I don’t regret loving you…he k-sses her forehead and walks out without looking back and Alexia feels her ear coming out through her mouth
