Evelyn’s POV
.
The scre-ming I made when I woke up prompted my Dad and sisters rushing into my room.
” Evelyn……what happened?” Dad asked.
” Sis, is everything alright?” Sarah asked.
” Sister are you okay?” sophie asked.
” i-i ugh..i had a very bad nightmare” i said.
” is it the same one you told me about?” dad asked which i nodded affirmative.
” ugh…..seriously?, you interrupted our sleep just because of your crazy dreams” mom said.
” Momm, that’s unfair” sarah disagreed.
” what!, i’m out of here” she said then left.
” Dad, i don’t think it’s a joke anymore…”
“….Dad i’m afraid something is coming……something evil is coming” i added.
” sister, what are talking about?” Emma asked concerned.
” Evelyn, you’re scaring your sisters….you’re scaring us” dad said.
” Sarah, take our sisters to their rooms, i’m sorry for waking you up” i said.
” will you be alright?” sarah asked.
” yeah…..i’m fine” i replied and she took them away to their room leaving me alone with my dad.
” Dad, i know what i saw…it felt so real…it’s very terrifying” i said.
” what’s all this about?..what’s the dreams all about?”
“….why do you keep having this horrible dreams?” dad asked.
” Dad, before i don’t know but now i think i do” i said.
” you do?….alright tell me” dad said.
” i’m not sure you will believe me if i tell you” i said.
” try me” he insisted.
” i finally see the face of the one behind my nightmare……it’s Destry” i revealed.
” What!”
” Yes dad, i saw his face…..he’s the same person tormenting me in my dream….i saw his face clearly” i said.
” No Evelyn…you’re definitely mistaken, it can’t be him” dad disagreed.
” I know what i saw Dad, it’s him” i said.
” It’s impossible…you’ve been having this dream even before you get to know the boy” dad said.
” ….it’s probably because of your anger towards him, you two don’t get along maybe that’s the reason you saw him”
“..it’s probably created from the figment of your own imaginination” he added.
” But….it can’t be because of that…..there’s definitely some kind of connection to it” i said.
” or maybe there’s nothing to it at all, look, i get that you’re scared….but you don’t have to create nothing out of something” he said.
” You don’t have to be afraid of your little brother, you don’t have to be scared of the dreams” he said.
” But what if it comes to pass?” i asked.
” it won’t okay….it’s probably just a dream” dad said embracing me.
” Just go back to bed okay….everything will be fine” he said.

i went back to bed a while later after my dad left and i couldn’t get any sleep, i was afraid of closing my eyes scared that i’m going to see him again.
i stayed awake all night but laid on the bed and when it’s sunrise i rose up and went to the bathroom to have my bath.
A while later i was out and got dressed then went out of my room.
I got to there and met my dad on the phone with someone and with the way he’s talking it seems something bad Happened.
My sisters already dressed for school waiting for my mom to take them then my dad ended the call.
” Kids…..go back to your rooms there’s no school today” dad announced which cause worry.
” Dad, what’s wrong?……what happened?” I asked.
” It’s from the school…… They found another dead body yesterday” dad said.
” WHAAT” my sister’s and I shouted.
” Another body?” Mom said descending from the stairs.
” Another teacher?” Betty asked.
” No….it’s not a teacher, it’s a student, a young boy…..he was killed in the restroom….”
“……..I think the name is Jake Daniels” dad said and we all gasped.
” I know the boy….. he’s Destry Classmate” Anna said.
” OhmyGod….. what’s happening in that school?” Mom exclaimed.
” They don’t know who’s behind it…..so they had the school shutdown till they found the culprit….. investigation is ongoing” dad said.
” I know that school is bad, I’m going back to my room” Destry said heading to his room.
Then I remembered seeing Destry coming out of the restroom and also the blood on his shirt.
No, it can’t just be a coincidence both dead people are from his class, could it be that he have a hand in it.
” Destry wait” I said then he stopped.
” What” he asked stopping.
” I saw you coming out of the restroom yesterday……you must have seen the body” I said.
” I didn’t see anything” he said back.
” I saw blood on your uniform yesterday and you told me it’s a cut, let me see the cut” I asked.
” Evelyn…..what are you talking about?….what cut?” Mom asked.
” I never said it’s a cut…..you heard me wrong” he denied.
” That’s what you told me…..you said you cut yourself” i pressed.
” That’s not what I said…..I said it’s a ink which I went to the washroom to clean…. that’s it” he shouted back.
” You’re lying……speak the truth now” I said.
” I’m not….. you’re the one lying” he said back.
” Evelyn stop this nonsense…… what’s all this about?” Mom said angrily.
” Mom, check his yesterday school uniform…..there is a trace of blood in it….check it mom” I said.
” There’s nothing there…… it’s plain” mom said.
” How did you know that?” I asked.
” Because I washed it and found nothing…….no blood stain….nothing” mom said.
” You must have missed it cause I saw it yesterday” I said.
” Is there something you’re not telling me Evelyn?….. cause I’m very sure this isn’t just about blood” mom asked.
” Yes Mom, I’ve dreamt about it……all of this isn’t just a coincidence Mom, both victims are from destry’s class”
” I’ve been having the dreams about him all these years, you must have know that he’s not someone ordinary” I said.
” Evelyn…..what are you insinuating?” She asked.
” I think your son may have something to do in the death of those two people” I announced and they exclaimed in shock.
” EVELYN” my mom shouted then slapped me hærd on my face.
” How dare you accused my son of such atrocious act……How could you?…. He’s my son….. Your brother” she shouted.
” That boy is not my brother” I replied.
” What has gotten into you?…..Are you out of your mind?” Mom said.
” ENOUGH, Enough of all this….. Evelyn…stop this nonsense immediately” dad cautioned.
” What is wrong with you?……why are you doing this to our family?….our family has enough trouble on it own…..why add to it?” Dad said.
” Your brother is still little…..though he might be naughty sometimes but he definitely can’t do that”
” I mean how could you even think of something like that….. it sounds crazy”
” There’s no way your seven years old brother can take on a 35 years old woman, it just sound crazy”
” Why would you even think of that?…..it just doesn’t sound right, please stop all this…. it’s not right” dad said.
” But dad this is not…….”
” I said Enough…..I don’t want to hear anything about it anymore” dad said then I went straight to my room.

Why can’t anyone just believe me?….this boy is playing all of us, he’s making us all look like a fool.
I know that boy is up to no good and if we don’t do something about it quickly, it’s going to get worse.
If no one decided to do anything then I will, I won’t let his curse ruin my family, I won’t let him hurt any of my sisters.
The door to my room opened and my sisters entered.
” Are you alright?” Anna said snuggling close to me and I sighed.
” Yeah” I replied.
” Dad has left for work and mom took Destry to work with her” Sarah said.
” We will be leaving for lectures very soon” Eva said.
” you all think I’m going crazy, right?” I asked.
” What, no….of course not” Sarah said.
” So what do you think?” I asked.
” I think your hunch might be right and also you might also be wrong” Sophie said.
” I never said it is a hunch…..I know for sure, I’m very certain….. it’s clear” I said.
” Dad is right you know…….the odds are too high…..no one will believe you” Eva added.
” I see…..no one will believe me, not even my sisters, so I’m indeed crazy” I said.
” No sis no…. you’re not….”
” Please don’t think like that……”
” Get out……All of you” I said.
” What?”
” I said get out……all of you out of my room now” I said.
” Sorry” they muttered then all left.
.
It seems my own sisters don’t believe me, well I don’t blame them, they don’t see what I see.
They don’t have the dreams I’m having, they don’t see the devil signature on him but I do and I promise I’ll do anything in my power to stop him.
I won’t let him hurt any member of family and to do that I need to act fast, I need to do something quickly .
