Standing alone in,side one of the empty theme parks of Lagos, Habib stays on alert keeping an eye for any unexpected assaults. Meanwhile here outside the park, Ade and the others who had already arrived took their time to make sure that they weren’t walking into any traps. Eze and Rollins who were already putting their abilities to good use focused their attention on Habib so that he wouldn’t try anything funny.

Kabir ➡ What’s he doing Eze?

Eze ➡ Nothing… Absolutely nothing. He’s just standing there.

Kabir ➡ Is there anyone in the vicinity Rollins?

Rollins ➡ Nope.

Ade ➡ Hmm.. Alright then, I’ll go ahead, the rest of you should stay here.

Sonny ➡ I’ll come along sir. If you go along, he might think that you’re up to something.

Heading out with Ade to meet this certain elite reminded me of the cash-cocaine exchange I used to be involved in. This kind of scenario was very familiar to me and it hærdly ever goes smoothly. What bothered me was the fact that there was nobody around except for this guy who wanted us to meet here. Normally, this kind of meeting always involves an ambush but since nobody was noticed here, it looks like things won’t end up bad after all.
Minutes later, Ade and I arrived at one empty space in the park and saw the guy. He was quite tall, fair and somewhat quiet. Judging from the guy’s appearance, he’s northerner and there was nothing about him to make one feel suspicious. Honestly, Ade and I were surprised by what we saw cause this guy looks like any ordinary guy and it’s quite hærd to believe that he was once a member of Prometheus.

Habib ➡ Salaam alaikum… I see you’ve gotten my message.
.

Ade ➡ Yes we have. So you’re the one who wants to help us stop Prometheus.

Habib ➡ Yes.. I’m sorry but introduction won’t be necessary. I’d like to keep my identity a secret.

Ade ➡ It’s not much of a secret now that we’ve seen your face plus I know your name. It’s Habib. You have a sister and mother living in Kaduna. Your father abandoned your mom so you took it upon yourself to handle his responsibility. You work here in Lagos to sustain both your mother and sister. Am I wrong?

The guy was shocked when he heard all what Ade said. He stared at Ade fiercely for a while before asking him how he knew about all of this.

Habib ➡ How did you know about all this? Are you stalking me?

Ade ➡ No… I have the ability to know about people I’ve seen for the first time without talking to them. After all, we’re elites.

Habib ➡ So you’re Ade? I was told that you’re a freak but I didn’t believe it.
.

Ade ➡ Well, freak isn’t a nice word but I’ll take it.

Habib ➡ Since you know all about me I bet you already know why I’m here.

Ade ➡ No but I’m sure you weren’t comfortable about something.

Habib ➡ Prometheus was planning on a genocidal mission. I only joined to crush the govt not kill innocent people.

Ade ➡ Crush the govt? You don’t mean…

Habib ➡ Yes… Eradicating the system of government is the only way to resolve peace and order.

Ade ➡ But without it, there will be no peace and order.

Habib ➡ The system of government was built on a lie. A government of the people and for the people? Really? This words are nothing but heaps of lies. The world would be a better place without the government.

Honestly, I can’t totally agree with what this Habib guy said but there are some things that he said that I can believe. Most of the system of Govt is a lie. There’s no govt for the people, it’s a parasitic system that favours those that are in power.

Ade ➡ Let’s keep that aside. You said you’re here to help us. What information do you have about Prometheus?

Habib ➡ First of all, they’re super rich individuals with all kinds of resources at their disposal and what’s more they’re using this resources to build weapons of mass destruction. Just hours ago, they launched a weather machine that has the ability to create storms. If the machine didn’t have a malfunction, Lagos would have been wiped out.

Ade ➡ Anything else?

Habib ➡ They also have branches in different states but I only know one which is in Calabar but I’m sure they’ll abandon it now that I’ve betrayed them.

Ade ➡ What can you tell me about the members of Prometheus?

Habib ➡ There are some you’ve already met. You recently battled with them.

Ade ➡ Oh…. So Moses and the others joined Prometheus?

Habib ➡ Yes.

Ade ➡ So what about the other members?

Habib wasted on time in telling us everything and from the looks of it, the Prometheus members were quite formidable. What bothered me was the joint force between Ade’s former allies with the Prometheus members. It won’t be a surprise if they shows up unexpectedly and attacked us.

Habib ➡ So there you have it. I’ve shared with you everything I know about Prometheus.

Ade ➡ Hmm, what’s in this for you, Habib?

Habib ➡ You think I came all this way for a reward? I don’t need it, I’m just letting you know what’s coming and you better watch your backs. Prometheus could strike at anything and just be prepared to spill some blood.

Ade ➡ That’s won’t be necessary.

Habib ➡ Don’t be silly. This isn’t some movie. This is reality and I’m telling you things are about to get ugly.. You’ll be making hærd decisions that you probably expected you’d make.

Ade ➡ I hope I don’t but until then, why don’t you join us? We could really use some help and your efforts will be rewarded of course.

Habib ➡ I don’t want to get caught up in this mess. I’m going back to Kaduna to be with my mom and sister.

Ade ➡ You can’t escape Habib, do you really think Prometheus will let you be? Join us and I assure you that your safety will be guaranteed. You’ll be putting your mother and sister’s life in danger if you go back to them now.

As hærd as it is to swallow, Ade was right. Habib couldn’t back down now and considering what he knows, Prometheus will do anything to take him out. I’m even surprised that he escaped from them without any injuries, I wonder how he managed that.

Habib ➡ And what’s this reward of mine if I join you?
.

Ade ➡ Monetary compensation of course. You’ll be working for us.
.

Habib ➡ Okay but don’t try anything funny by using me or handing me over to the authorities, I will do my part but if you try to stab me in the back….. Just say goodbye to your hearing.

Sonny ➡ It is you that should be be careful.

Ade ➡ As long as we’re both fighting the same enemy, there’s no need for squabble. Sonny, take Kabir to the others, I need to answer this call.

Sonny ➡ Alright sir. Come on then follow me.

Things sure went better than I expected, with Habib on our side, Prometheus is as good as done but still that doesn’t mean I should let my guard down. The spirits said that his intentions were genuine but there’s no telling when he’ll turn on us.
After Sonny led Habib out of the park, I quickly brought out my phone to check who was busy flashing me and as it turns out it was Susan. It’s been quite a while since I last saw Susan and thanks to Prometheus’s appearance, I haven’t had much time to think about her. However, what bothered me at that moment was the love triangle I was caught up in. I love Susan, she’s a decent lady with a proper upbringing and background, she has the elegance, poise and charm that every man looks for in a lady. She should be an easy pick for me but then there’s Felicia, the mother of my child whom I also love as well.
My relationsh¡p with Felicia isn’t as strong as Susan considering how long I’ve spent with each of them but I can’t deny the fact that whenever she’s around, I just can’t take my eyes off her. I always have this tingles whenever she’s around me and she knows how to push my buttons without even trying. Felicia may not be as decent as Susan but she’s far more hotter and attractive than her. Some might suggest that I go for Susan but my heart lingers towards Felicia and no matter how I try to be faithful to Susan, Felicia is just too impossible to resist.
So after I saw Susan’s number, I quickly dialed her up to see if everything was okay. Perhaps I might drop in on her tonight. I don’t want to think that I’ve ditched her. After Susan’s phone rang for a while, she finally answered my call.

Ade ➡ Hello Susan. How’ve you…..

Susan ➡ ADE! HELP ME… I’VE BEEN ATTACKED… HELP ME.

Immediately I heard that, rage overcame me instantly. I was so mad that I wanted nothing more than to struggle that b-stard with my bare hands.

In that moment, I ended the call and flew into the air with incredible speed heading towards Susan’s house and fortunately for me, it was night time so there was no need for me to worry about anyone seeing me. I just hope I make it in time.

The time was 9:00pm and it’s been an hour since I and Chioma started playing cards with Jennifer. Normally, I would be soaking myself deep in a hot bath, mining bitcoins right about now but tonight is a special night. As it turns out, Jennifer has one out of the 3 stolen diamonds and each one cost nearly a hundred million. Selling that diamond in a black market would produce 3times it’s amount but I’m not interested in the money, I just want to have that shiny rock on my finger in case Ade ever proposes to me. Nothing would be more bad-ass than have 3hundred mil on your index finger.
It’s been a while since this game started and so far the 3 of us have been tied each with 2 winnings. This was the final round and everything counts. Eve and the others who weren’t playing watched as interest as we battled over the diamond, they each wanted to know who was get the prize.

Luckily for me, I had the liberty to touch some ace cards before entering this game, that was how I was about to win and now that I have more Aces in my possession, I knew that I was bound to win.
Chioma and Jennifer couldn’t believe their eyes as they saw the arrangements of my cards. They were shocked that I had stacked lots of Aces.

Jennifer ➡ You cheated.

Chioma ➡ I second the motion.

Felicia ➡ Why would I cheat? I was sitting right here. Hand over the diamond jare.

Jennifer ➡ Can you please explain where you get these Aces cause it’s just unbelievable. No one can win 3 times in the same manner.

Felicia ➡ I guess I’m just lucky. Hand it over.

Jennifer didn’t waste time answering Kabir’s question, instead she retracted her claws and sprang gracefully towards the guest like a cat chasing his prey. Before Jennifer could sink her claws into the stranger, I teleported back to her seat and restrained her.

Felicia ➡ Calm down babe. Relax.

Jennifer ➡ This b-stard nearly made me deaf. He was there that night when Lagos became a horror ground.

Chioma ➡ Where did you guys meet?

Habib ➡ In a jewelry store. I saw how formidable she was and I knew I didn’t stand a chance so I took her out with a whistle.
