🌹 DESTINY 🌹

Some believe that having the power to see the future is awesome but they have no idea how wrong they are. Having this kind of power is dangerous and if it falls into the wrong hands, bad things will happen. For years, I’ve been locked away against my will by the Executioners who were using my ability to their own advantage. They didn’t treat me badly but being used as a tool everything is nothing but sheer torture. I was a little girl when I was taken away from home and locked away from the world, I spent a decade without knowing what the out world looks like.

For a while, I thought that I was going to die here alone and in captivity, I even had regrets why I was born with this ability but then eventually, I was finally rescued and freed. Honestly, I thought that being free would mean living a life of peace and tranquility but it seems that I had it all wrong. Being caught into the middle of war wasn’t something I expected after gaining my freedom but it seems the only way to achieve that was to defeat the Executioners. Although my sister’s allies weren’t as bad as the Executioners, I knew they would eventually want me to use my powers to help them win the fight and I didn’t want that. In fact, I didn’t want to use my powers anymore but then it wasn’t long before I did.

Presently as everyone was trying to find a way to retaliate against the Elites, Sonny the guy that rescued me suddenly took his leave. At first I wondered why he’d leave so briskly but then in that moment, I had a vision of him and it was very ugly. In this vision, Sonny was brutally killed and mangled in the worst way possible. I was scared after I saw that, my heart began to fast and breath was getting slower. At first, I was zoned out but before long, I regained control of myself and realized what was going to happen. If Sonny leaves this building, he’s as good as dead. In that moment, I chased after Sonny to prevent the inevitable from happening and fortunately enough, I was able to stop him. Just as I was about to call out to Sonny, he sensed my presence and called out to me.

Sonny ➡ Destiny!
.

Destiny ➡ Don’t leave cause if you do. You’ll.. Die.
.

Sonny ➡ What?
.

Destiny ➡ I saw your future moments ago and it shows that you’ll die if you leave this building.
.

Sonny ➡ Okay but in case you don’t know, I can heal from anything. I have enhanced regenerative cells.
.

Destiny ➡ So? It still doesn’t mean that you can’t be killed.
.

Sonny ➡ Alright. I’ll stay.
.

Destiny ➡ Come on, let’s get… Urrggh! (moans painfully)
.

Sonny ➡ Destiny, are you okay?
.

I couldn’t answer Sonny in that moment cause I was in the middle of having another dark vision of the future. I trembled with fear as I foresaw this future and it wasn’t pretty at all.
.

Sonny ➡ Destiny! Is everything alright?
.

Destiny ➡ No.. We have to warn them.
.

Sonny ➡ Warn who?
.

Destiny ➡ My sister and the others. We have to warn them that something is coming.
.

Sonny ➡ What is coming?
.

Destiny ➡ The…end. (faints)

Sonny ➡ Destiny!

💢 Writer’s Pov 💢

(Here on the roof of the Nova agency)

Eze ➡ Alright Lioness, is your gun ready?
.

Beatrice ➡ Absolutely! Richie, cover me.
.

Richard ➡ Sure. (Covers Beatrice)
.

Beatrice ➡ So what now?
.

Eze ➡ Relax.. Here comes the drone. Prepare to fire.
.

Beatrice ➡ I can’t see it.
.

Eze ➡ (points to the sky) Focus your aim on where my finger is pointing and when I give you the signal, you shoot.
.

Beatrice ➡ Okay!
.

Eze ➡ Count down. 5!
.

Beatrice ➡ Oya nah. (Clicks gun)
.

Eze ➡ 4!
.

Beatrice ➡ (silently) Easy baby ( holds trigger)
.

Eze ➡ 3!
.

Richard ➡ B, are you set?
.

Beatrice ➡ Of course Richie, now stay put.
.

Eze ➡ 2!… Are you sure you can hit it?
.

Beatrice ➡ I never miss.
.

Eze ➡ 1! FIRE.
.

Immediately Eze makes that outburst, Beatrice pulls the trigger firing the gun without any hesitation hitting the bullseye. Unfortunately for the group, the drone had already spotted them and began to rain fire upon them. Richard as usual covers Beatrice and protects her from the drone’s attacks whilst Eze finds a secure spot to hide.
Meanwhile, Samson who was waiting for his hacking device to be implanted on the drone soon gets confirmation from Mercury and then contacts Eze to find out about their safety.

Samson ➡ Eze, the bullseye has been hit. Where are you guys?
.

Eze ➡ Baba, we dey collect fire o. Lots of fire. We’re stuck.
.

Samson ➡ Hang on, I’ll send help.
.

Eze ➡ Guy better hurry o. Richard dey collect wotowoto from protecting Beatrice and I don’t think his body can hold out for long. Hurry. (ends call)
.

Samson ➡ Mercury, hack this drone and make it visible to the naked eye. Someone should please go and help Eze and the others on the roof. They’re trapped.
.

Susan ➡ I’ll go.
.

Samson ➡ Are you sure? You’re still not in condition to…
.

Sunday ➡ I said I’m fine. Show me the way to the roof.
.

Meanwhile here on the roof, Richard gets stretched to his limit as the drone continues to open fire on him and Beatrice. Despite the fact that his body was constantly adapting to the drone’s attacks, he was getting tired and slowly losing his strength. Seeing that her admirer was about to reach his limit decides to help him out but the latter prevents her from doing so.

Beatrice ➡ Richie.. Let me help you. The drone’s camouflage is gone.
.

Richard ➡ No… (groans painfully).. It’s too risky. You could get killed. I can’t let that happen.
.

Beatrice ➡ Richie.. Let. Me. Help. You! I can’t let you die for me either.
.

Richard ➡ Who said anything about dying? I won’t die not until I’ve told you how I feel. (groans)
.

Beatrice ➡ Richie..
.

Richard ➡ It’s okay.. I’ve got this. I’ve got this.
.

Beatrice ➡ Richie… What are you doing?
.

Richard ➡ Buying you time to run!
.

Beatrice ➡ Richie. No.
.

In that moment, Richard swifts turns around and faces the drone’s attacks head on while crossing his face with his arms. Beatrice watches with amazement as the latter walks straight into the drone’s rain of fire. Without wasting any more time, Beatrice takes off and finds somewhere close to hide and as soon as she does that, she uses her gun and fires relentlessly at the drone.
Meanwhile here in Executioners base, Monica and her followers who were watching from the drone’s camera were shocked beyond belief as they saw Richard standing head on while getting shot at. They couldn’t believe that such as Elite existed and now that they do, they feared the worst.

Victor ➡ Who in the world is that Elite? How can he taking all that firepower with any injuries?
.

Monica ➡ This isn’t good. Pull the drone back and let it continue it’s random attack.
.

Victor ➡ As you wish… Hold on.. Something’s wrong.
.

Monica ➡ What do you mean?
.

Victor ➡ The drone.. It’s not following my protocols. I think it’s been hacked.
.

Monica ➡ Hacked? How?
.

Executioner ➡ Madame look!

Honestly, I’ve never considered Richard to be worthy of joining the Elites, he always seem care free and somewhat goofy but now I truly believe that looks are deceiving. Watching that young guy stand firm amidst the drone’s rain of fire was beyond amazing. Although his body wasn’t hurt or anything but I could tell that he was in a lot of pain but yet he stood his ground.
I wished there was a way I could help him but I can’t even Beatrice’s efforts to take out the drone was futile. Despite being helpless, Richard still never gave up and just when all hope seemed lost, someone finally came to our rescue. Seeing Susan appear before us made me wonder if this lady was just suicidal cause I seem to remember that she was in a critical condition.

Eze ➡ SUSAN!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?
.

Susan never answered me, she just walked a little step further and then stretched out her hand instantly and before I knew it, something incredible happened. All that firepower that the drone unleashed stopped instantly in mid air. Richard was spared but the poor guy collapsed on the ground barely breathing. In that moment, Susan used her ability to shift him away from the path and then brought him close to me . I was thinking that the drone would drift away and attack again but it didn’t. The damned thing too was stuck in mid air as well and from all indication, it would seem like Susan’s abilities had affected it too.

Beatrice ➡ Mr. Eze, is Richie alright?
.

Eze ➡ He’s unconscious but yes, he’s fine.
.

Beatrice ➡ Omo, na wetin you dey wait for? Destroy that machine abeg!
.

Susan ➡ You don’t have to tell me twice.
.

Before our very eyes, Susan began to crush and dent the drone like it was nothing. Seeing the hard metal getting crushed in this manner made me fear Susan for the first time since we met. I couldn’t help but wonder how it would feel like for a human to get crushed like that. Just as Susan was in middle of squeeze the metal junk, Samson’s voice began to appear through my comms.

Samson ➡ Eze, you dey there?
.

Eze. ➡ Bros, I dey. Wetin sup?
.

Samson ➡ Comot for the roof asap. The drone get self destruct protocol. Make you and the others japa for the place.
.

Eze ➡ Susan!
.

Susan ➡ What?
.

Eze ➡ The drone is about to explode!! Toss it away as far as you can.
.

Susan sure didn’t waste any time in doing what I said. She raised the drone away from the roof and then catapulted it into the dark sky. It took only some seconds before the drone exploded and gave out a big bang. Shortly after the explosion, Chioma appeared on the roof as well and rushed towards me giving a kiss. It wasn’t long before others appeared on the roof as well.

Kabir ➡ Is everyone okay? Samson told us what happened.
.

Beatrice ➡ Richie needs help. We have to get him help so that he doesn’t get internal bleeding.
.

Eze ➡ Don’t worry. He’s messed up but he’s okay. What he needs is rest.
.

Kaitlyn ➡ So what?
.

Susan ➡ This isn’t over. We have to expect that there will be more.
.

Kabir ➡ You’re right. Samson got a call from Rollins saying that the Executioners are on the move. We need to have a strategy plan to overcome them.
.

Beatrice ➡ How much time do we have?
.

Mary ➡ None.. The Executioners are here.
.

Beatrice ➡ Where I don’t see them?
.

Eze ➡ Mary’s right. They’re here and they’re using the same camouflage cloak the drone used.
.

Chioma ➡ Well then, let’s beat them at their own game.
.

Kabir ➡ How?
.

Chioma ➡ Come on, let’s get inside. Mercury, how’s our defense?
.

Mercury ➡ At 50%. The drone destroyed all of our weapons system. I can hold of the Executioners for 20mins.
.

Chioma ➡ It’s more than enough. Okay everyone, let’s get back inside.
.

💢 FELICIA 💢

I don’t like the idea of teaming up with former friends turned enemies but considering the odds that we’re facing, there’s no other choice. Besides, * The enemy of my enemy is a friend* cause in war, one has to do whatever it takes to win, there’s no time for being soft or fair, fuck that!

The Executioners did make an awesome comeback especially at this time when we Elites are at each other’s throats. They might have succeeded if they hadn’t shown themselves in the first place. If they had just awaited a little bit more for us to be actually divided, then they might have conquered us but now, there’s no way in hell that they’re ever going to conquer us cause tonight, we are going to show them who we really are. The fight might have been won if Ade was with us but now that he isn’t, we just have to manage with what we have even if it means teaming up with those that have tried killing us before.

Presently here inside the Nova cell chamber, Iwonbi, Ali, Moses and myself stood before Gabriel and Omotola who were kept in the same cell. They’re weren’t happy to see some of us especially me and Ali but there was nothing they could do about it, now that their powers have been restrained.

Felicia ➡ Hello Gabriel. Long time no see.
.

Gabriel ➡ F-ck you, Felicia!
.

Felicia ➡ That’s cold but I don’t care. There’s no time for us to be at each other’s throats so I’m going to get straight to the point.
.

Gabriel ➡ I have no interest in what you have to say.
.

Felicia ➡ Oh really? Not at all. What about you witch?
.

Omotola ➡ Oloshi!
.

Felicia ➡ Okay.. Looks like they don’t want to get out so..
.

Iwonbi ➡ Felicia, be serious.
.

Felicia ➡ No, you talk to them!
.

Iwonbi ➡ Listen Gabriel, we have a problem.
.

Gabriel ➡ I don’t care.
.

Iwonbi ➡ The Executioners are back, you fool!!
.

Gabriel’s eyes lit with shock as he heard that, he didn’t react but the look on his face was obvious. Iwonbi wasted no time in pouring more petrol to the burning fire.
.

Iwonbi ➡ They’re coming for us and they’re outside as we speak. They killed Joshua and a handful of other Prometheus’s members. They took advantage of our struggle and used it to take us out one by one. We need every hands on deck if we all want to stay alive.
.

Gabriel ➡ You expect me to believe all of this!? Eve wiped out the Executioners 10yrs ago.
.

Iwonbi ➡ Well, looks like she didn’t get the job done. Their new leader is a woman and she’s ruthless and calculated. She used Eve’s sister to predict our every move. Eve’s sister is alive by the way and we have her with us. Without her, the Executioners can’t stop us.
.

Gabriel ➡ So why do you need us? Can’t Ade handle them all?
.

Iwonbi ➡ Ade is at odds with us as well. He and Felicia had a fall out. Look, there’s no time. We’ll let you and the witch out only if you agree to join us and when this is over, we can all go your separate ways. Agreed?
.

Gabriel remained quiet and stared at Iwonbi and I for a while before he then agreed. In that moment, I ordered Mercury to open the cell for Gabriel and the witch and to also free them from the device that restrained them from using their abilities.
As soon as Gabriel stepped out of his cell, the lights in the building began to flicker instantly. He stared at me viciously for a while before Ali reminded him why he was freed.

Ali ➡ Kai mallam! Keep your personal issues aside. Don’t forget why you’re out here with us. Our enemies will soon be upon us so I suggest you get yourself ready.
.

Gabriel ➡ Back off jare! I won’t take orders from anyone especially from you.
.

Moses ➡ Guy chill. We get matter for hand. If we continue to dey fight, na die we go die so.
.

Omotola ➡ Na dem go die! Those cockroaches never see anything. The kind juju wet I go throw for their head ehn!
.

Felicia ➡ Okay everyone, let’s go. We’re running out of time.

💢 MONICA 💢

(Here in the Executioners base)

Monica ➡ Damn those Elites!!!
.

Victor ➡ Calm down Monica. We still have the upper hand.
.

Monica ➡ Everything was going perfect, I had everything under control but now things are spiraling out of control. I truly underestimated the capabilities of the Elites, that was my mistake but now, I’m ending it all. Tonight, I’m going to end it all. All those centuries of war is going to end tonight.
.

Victor ➡ What do you want us to do?
.

Monica ➡ Do we still have those video feeds of the Elites?
.

Victor ➡ Sure. Every last one.
.

Monica ➡ Good, you know what to do with it. In the meantime, I want everything in our arsenal to be unleashed on those Elites! Throw everything at them. Rain fire upon them.
.

Victor ➡ As you wish.
.

Monica ➡ Prepare a transport for me.. I want to be in on the action!
.

Victor ➡ But that’s dangerous!
.

Monica ➡ I won’t be on the front lines fool! I want to be up in the air so that I can see everything.
.

Victor ➡ It shall be done.
