Episode 21&22

On my way home, I branch to an eatery, to get some pizza and soft drink. I need to eat to and drink to my Victory, it’s not easy.

On my way out of the eatery, I met precious, walking in.

Savvy, she s¢ræmed, running towards me. She jumped on me and I had no choice than to hold her before she falls.

Hey, precious, how are you, I said, while still being envelopes in the hug.

I’m fine, where have you been, she asked.

Have been around, I said, then dropped her down.

I heard what happened, she said, immediately I dropping her down.

You heard, how, who told you, I asked.

Esther, your landlord’s daughter, she said. I dropped by to say hello, when she recognized me and called me. she explained everything to me, precious added.

Hmmmmm it’s okay, I said. So what brings you here, I asked.

Well, I just felt I should take myself out, since I have no body to take me out, she said. What about you, she asked.

Well as you can see, I came to get what I’ll eat and drink to my victory, I said.

Please gist me, she said, making a baby’s face.

Alright,alright, I said.

We located a s₱0t, and sat down. I told her to order what she needed and she did. I began gisting her everything from when it’s started. She listened keenly to every word I said.

Woah that’s a thrilling story, she said. Your so smart and intelligent, she added.

I was about saying something else, when two guys with three girls, walked close to where we were sitting.

Savvy I supposed, said one of the guys, stretching his hand, for an handshake.

I don’t believe we’ve met, I said, receiving the hand shake.

Can we all sit with you please, he said and I nodded in agreement and they all sat down.

I’m damilola, he’s Michael ama, she over there, is rose, that’s utomi, and sitting close to me here is To Mi.

Wow, I almost s¢ræmed. they’re are my favorite readers, especially To Mi, I nicknamed her Marine because she’s always interested in Marine movies and stories.

You guys don’t know how happy I am to see you all here, it feels like I’m dreaming, I said, and precious immediately pinched me, and they all laughed.

If you feel pains, then your not dreaming, she said and another round of laughter followed.

She’s precious, I said to them.

The precious who commented in one of your episodes that you’ll not die, because she hasn’t tasted your Indaboski yet, To Mi asked and everyone laughed.

Yes oh, I’m the one, precious replied, laughing.

I told them to order what ever they’ll love to take and they did.

We all gist, while eating. I must say, they’re all fun to be with. It reminds me of my family.

We finished eating and all decided to take our leave. I told them I’ll meet them outside, after I finish making payment. I was done and came out to meet them taking pictures. I brought out my phone and we took pictures as if we were competing in a photo shoot.

After all the snapping they all thanked me for everything, and I told them from now on we’ll be doing this once in a while.

They left, except To Mi, who said she’ll like to have a word with me in private.

I’m going, my mum just called, said precious.

Alright precious, I’ll see you later, I said and she left.

Is she your girlfriend, To Mi asked.

Nope, she’s my very good friend, I Said. So what did you want to discuss, I said.

Where’s my story, she asked.

She has caught me. She told me to wirte a story for her about Marines, that she’ll pay me. Well she actually sent half of the payment which I had used immediately I saw the alert.

It’s almost ready, I lied. You’ll get it in three days time, i added.

It’s okay, she said. I’ll be sticking around here for a while, so hope to see you again, she added, walking away.

Yeah, sure, I said.

And oh, she said, making me raise an eyebrow. thanks for today, you really made my day, she added and left.

I booked an online ride and within minutes they driver landed. He took me directly to my house. I payed him and got down from the vehicle. I ignored my neighbors who were already asking me questions, unlocked my door, got in and went straight to my bed and I laid down and slept.

Episode 22

I woke up the next morning feeling so okay. I stood up and knelt beside my bed and said a little prayer.
I finished praying, got up and head into the bathroom. I did the usuals, took my bath and came out.
I applied cream on my body and wore something casual.

I wasn’t feeling hungry, so I sat down on my chair, and opened my reading table, took out an unfinished script and began working on it.

I completed the script in two hours, stood up and headed to the kitchen. I prepared noodles and ate it at the dining.

I went back to bed and laid on it. I picked my phone at the side off the bed to check some updates. I saw five missed calls from precious, three from daisy, fifteen from Esther, two from a strange number.

I smiled to myself, saying now it’s not the time for calls, I just want to rest till the day of the trial.

I only dialed the strange number because I was curious to know who it was. It rang for sometime before someone picked up.

Good morning, said the receiver, who a deep baritone voice.

Yeah who am I unto, I said.

It’s Nelly’s Father, the receiver said.

I hissed and ended the call.

He called back several times, and it got me pissed, so I blocked his number.

Nelly and her mother are so going to enjoy their stay at the cell for a while. I knew what I was doing, so I didn’t need anyone to talk to me now.

I called Esther and she picked up almost immediately.

Hey, where have you been all this while, she asked. What happened to you and your phone, she added.

I’m fine, I was just resting, I said.

Thank God, you got me so worried, she said.

Are you free, I asked her.

Of course I am, she said.

Alright, can you come over, I asked.

Come and open the door for me, I’m already at your door, she said and I was surprised.

Alright, I said, standing up from the bed and going towards the door. I unlocked the door and opened it.

She was just standing so innocently, and for a second one would think she’s an angel sent from heaven.

Good morning, she said, smiling.

Morning, I said, walking in,side.

She followed suit and closed the door.

I’ve missed you, she said hugging me. what really happened, she asked.

I sat her down and told her everything. After I had finish, she felt sorry for me, though she blamed me at some point.

But that aside, you have to forgive them, she said.

What did you just say eh Esther, I said, In a serious tone. With my broken nose. Do you know what I went through in that woman’s hand, eh, do you know, i asked.

I’m sor..

No need, Just leave, I said to her, which surprised her.

Savvy I’m….

I said leave, please ,I said.

She stood up and walked to the door. She paused, turned and looked at me before opening the door and walking out.

I smiled to myself. shebi I told you people that i know what I’m doing.
