Shane held tightly to her unconscious body and all he wants to do that moment is to protect her with all he has

Bella rushed out of the house and stopped when she saw them

“I’ll take care of her, you don’t have to worry” Shane said

“I beg you, please take good care of my child, please” Bella said

” I will, and please don’t make such mistake again ma’am, keeping secrets from the ones we love brings nothing but loss of trust and love, I hope she’ll be able to trust you again” Shane said

Bella looked on with guilt as Shane took Elena into his car and drove off

She sat on the doorstep and continued crying bitterly till Carl appeared and bent in front of her, he held her teary face and wiped her tears gently

“I’m sorry dear, sorry it had to happen like this” he consoled but it seems it’s not working cos she kept crying loudly

“She’ll hate me, I can just feel it already, she’ll surely hate me” she replied tearfully

” You just have to bear through it, she’ll come around” Carl replied, hugging her to himself

” I hope I’ll be able to wait till then, I can’t bear seeing her hate me” she replied on his chest

” I know, will you come to my place?” Carl asked

She broke the hug and looked up at him . ” No Carl, I’ll stay here till she comes back to me, I’ll stay here till she decides to forgive me” she replied and hugged him again

” Carl I’m worthless right?” She sniffed

“No you aren’t, we both just made an idiotic mistake which ruined everything” he replied, fighting back his tears too

Getting to his house, Shane carried Elena in in his arms into his room, he lay her gently on the bed and covered her with the duvet

It seems like she’ll wake up soon cos her breathing is ok, he k-ssed her forehead and rubbed her cheeks gently

“Wake up soon…. for me” he said sadly and his mind went back to what he heard earlier

Though he hates prying or digging in what’s none of his concern but he eavesdropped on her conversation with Bella earlier and it was rather shocking that Bella has been keeping that much secret for seventeen years

He stood and paced round the room, Thomas is busy killing innocent people and it’s sure he’s still coming for Elena, this is when he needs to stay with her most cos this is when she needs him most, and maybe he needs support

He needs to talk to Mrs Tanner and Cheryl, then maybe Carl

Next day**

Cheryl just finished preparing for work cos the establishment is starting today and the arrangements

She put finishing touches to her makeup before checked out herself in the mirror then smiled at what she’s seeing

She put on her suit and trousers then her shoes before carrying her bag then she walked out of the room only to meet Louis already waiting in the living room

She descended the stairs happily and fast so she’ll soon be in his arms

She flew into his wide comforting arms and they hugged tightly for long before breaking it

“Ok you look overly gorgeous this morning, I mean it, the makeup fits you perfectly, the suit, the bag, the shoes, everything fits well, beauty queen” Louis said

“thanks sweetheart, you look kinky too and I can’t help but trip again seriously” she smiled

*I love you baby” he winked

“Much love my everything, let’s work hærd” she replied

” Sure, shall we?” He replied, gesturing for her to lead the way out but she refused and grabbed his hand instead

“Cancel the ladies first policy today, we’re together” she said and he smiled widely, holding her tighter as they left the house together

Just as they’re about to enter the car, her phone rang, a call from her mum

“Hi mum” she smiled

“Cheryl, Shane just called to say Elena is not ok” Arie replied

” What!, What happened?, Why?” She said restlessly

” He didn’t give details, we’ll know when we get to his house cos she’s with him, meet me there” Arie replied and hung up

” What’s happening?” Louis asked

” My sis is not doing fine, I mean Elena, we need to branch at Shane’s house and see what’s really happening” she replied, hurriedly getting into the car

“Elena” Shane smiled when she finally opened her eyes that morning

“Honey” she replied weakly, trying to tilt up but Shane rushed to help her and she finally sat up

Shane saw her eyes socket already bulging at the base, a sign that she’s about to cry but he quickly held her hand

“Promise me you won’t cry” he said

“It hurts” she replied, blinking to fight the tears

” I’m sorry it has to hurt like this, I have been suspecting it’ll be like this but I just didn’t want to scare you, that’s why I kept it all to myself, and I know it’s Thomas who has been after you but I knew you’d be scared, that’s why I never told you” he said

” Shane I’m really scared right now, I’m scared and I feel betrayed, I and mum promised not to keep anything from each other, but how come she’s the one who kept the big secrets from me?, I’m Samantha’s twin?, She offended and wronged Thomas but I’m the one getting punished for it?, And I’m sure it was him who planned the plane crash for Samantha, I didn’t even get to meet my twin sister, I never knew I’m a twin till now, she f*cking his everything from me!” She yelled

Shane made his grip on her firmer and locked eyes with her

“She’s still your mother” he said

“I know but right now I don’t want to see her, I won’t see her nor Carl till my head calms down cos right now I’m disgruntled and shattered and I just feel like dissipating” she said, finally letting out her tears .

Shane hugged her to make he calm, patting her back slowly

“I’m sorry Princess, calm down please, just do it for me, I know it’s not easy but please hold unto me and try to calm your nerves, I’m here so if crying will make you calm please cry on me, cry it all out” Shane said and instantly Elena started crying on his shoulders, wrapping her arms more tightly around him

Right now he’s like air she needs to breath and she feels like staying In his soothing arms like this forever, it’s calm and full of comfort as she cried it all out

She did that for over fifteen minutes till her tears started becoming less and less

Shane broke the hug and smiled at her

“Good girl” he said, wiping her tears

“You’re so rare to find, you’re too perfect Shane, you can’t be compared with anything believe me” she said

Shane smiled and held her face. ” Cos you’re my girl, I can do anything for you ok?, Now you need to calm and stop letting the shock get the best of you” he said and she nodded

Surprisingly maybe because she’s with him, she calmed down faster than she expected till Arie came over with Cheryl and Louis

They went downstairs to meet then and Arie spranged up when she saw her red face

“What happened?, What happened to your face?, You cried right?, What really happened?” Arie asked with concern, touching her face all-over

“I’m fine ma’am, just something” she replied

“Something?” Cheryl said as Louis took his seat

” Talk to me darling, what really happened?’ Arie probed

“She’s Samantha’s twin” Shane said beside her

“What!, Her mum said she gave birth to only her” Arie replied

” That’s a lie which guilty pushed her to tell” Shane replied

” How did you find out?” Cheryl asked shockingly

“She told her everything last night” Shane replied, holding Elena’s hand

” Everything?” Arie said

They sat down and Elena told all the story herself without remnants and surprisingly by the time shes done, she’s not crying, maybe because she held unto Shane throughout

Arie and Cheryl can’t hide their shocks, even Louis is too shocked at the truth which just got revealed

“What!, She hid all that?, And now your life is In danger?, Gosh how could she” Arie said

” It’s ok, at least I’m safe, my boyfriend will protect me, I believe if he’s with me, I’m safe” Elena smiled

” You need guards, you both should always be together and I’m employing guards for you guys now” Arie said

” Just what I wanted to say” Shane replied

” At least five, five guards mummy” Cheryl said

” Yeah, that’s the best for now, and they should be well trained ” Louis said

” I know, all my husband guards are well trained guards from America so it’s ok” Arie said and picked her phone then made the call

They arrived outside the house within fifteen minutes and when Shane looked outside through the window and saw the able bodied guards with guns, he smiled

“Anywhere you guys will go, they’ll follow” Arie assured

” Good” Shane said

” And you guys need to be careful huh?” Cheryl said, hugging Elena

“I understand sis, we’ll be careful” she replied

The hug with Arie is the longest cos it took a while before Arie let her go

“Be careful please” she said and k-ssed her hair

That instant, Elena can’t help but feel motherly bond with her though her mind never left Bella

“And your mum, you know what’s best for her, do what you think is right” Arie said and she nodded before hugging her by herself

Arie smiled and hugged her more.

MD textiles**

All eyes are on Tara as she walked into the company in her worn out shoes and bag

She kept her head up without minding what anyone thinks as she walked

She looked sidewards at the workers looking at her and moved towards them.

“Where’s the CEO’s office?” She asked Straight to the point

“third floor” one of them replied and Tara mumbled a dry “thanks” before leaving for the floor

She took the elevator and when she got there, she walked through a corridor and met a secretary’s desk

“Hey, I’m here to see Mr Marcus” she said

The young lady looked at her from her head till her toe and smiled

“No room for people like you to enter that office” she said..

“People…. like me?” Tara demanded

” Are you here to pack the junks with your trashy bag?” The secretary demanded and Tara folded her fist to prevent her from using it on this bad-mouthed lady

“I’m here to see Mr Dre Marcus, the CEO” she said again

“And I told you to go away” the lady replied again and in all her anger, Tara made to pull her hair but someone held her hand

“Who’s that motherf-cker” she said, slowly looking back and she quickly covered her mouth when she saw Dre

“You’re always bad-mouthed right?” Dre smiled

” I’m…I’m sorry, she was…”

” Don’t bother talking, I saw everything” Dre replied and faced the secretary

” You crossed the line but for the fact that it’s your first time, I’ll let you go, she’s our new member of sales representative” Dre said

” But sir,you told me to paste a vacancy and many people are waiting for interview already”

” Then cancel it, any issues with that?” Dre said

“Oh.. no sir” she replied

“She’s Dora, my secretary though you’ll still get introduced to other workers” Dre said..

” Alright sir” Tara bowed

” Follow me” Dre said, entering his office and she obeyed by following him in

“Your office is at the second floor, my secretary will show you and you’ll be introduced to other sales representatives like you, we have six already so you’ll be the seventh” Dre said

” Ok sir” Tara replied

Dre scanned her dress and inhaled hærd

“We have a lot to do” he said

“On what sir?” She asked

” You” he replied and made a call, a lady came and took her away to a room and in the next fifteen minutes, clothes of different brands and designs arrived but more surprisingly, the lady started dressing her up and all her speeches were ignored till she was dressed in a short free blue armless gown then she wore a white jacket and new white shoes and a new bag, she looks different

“The rest of the clothes are all yours, you can come for it when you’re done for today, anyways welcome to MD textiles, I’m Joanne” the lady said, extending an hand which Tara took

” You know our CEO somewhere before?” Joanne asked

” No, we met recently though it wasn’t something to talk about, then he saved me last night and offered this job” she replied

” I’m just surprised that he’s doing this for you, you’re lucky cos he’s not the type to do all these” Joanne said

” Oh”

“since you’re one of the sales representative, you’ll be in our office, I’ll show you there but go see Mr Marcus first” Joanne smiled, leading the way out of the place

“Yes?” Dre’s voice said when she knocked again

She went in and Dre smiled immediately

“Nice, you look different, I think you’re fit to work now” he said

” Thanks sir, wasn’t expecting this” she replied

“It’s ok, Joanne will show you to your office instead and she’ll do your introduction, they’re all nice so don’t worry” Dre said

” Thanks sir, see you later” she waved as she left

” Interesting” Dre smiled.

Cheis investments**

The arrangements has started since Cheryl and Louis got to work and they’ve already gone far cos they employed more than twenty able bodied guys to arrange

“Someone is here to see you sir” one of them said

Louis went out and when he saw his dad, his expression hærdened

“So it’s true, you’re establishing something like this and I’m unaware” Alan said

” I have nothing to say to you” Louis replied and Cheryl came out just then

Louis held her hand tight. “Is she the one directing you right now?” Alan said

“Anything bad in that?, I gave her my heart so is anything bad in letting her taking over me?, Like I’ve said, I have nothing to say to you so just go, I’m not your puppet anymore” Louis replied and stormed back in

” Louis come back here!” Alan scre-med but he never looked back

“Really?” Alan spat and got a call from Gabby immediately

“Gabby” he said, trying to calm down as he picked

“The men from the Philippines are here, you have to hurry up and come” Gabby said on phone

” I’ll be there” he replied and hung up,he looked at the company building again before getting in the car.

Golden Brains**

Going to school in the company of five guards is the safest thing Elena has ever felt,but even with the five guards, if Shane is not there, she’d have been scared

She got down with Shane at the school parking lot and Carl is already waiting

“Elena” he called

She looked at him and stepped back

“Not now.. please” she said

“I know you feel hurt but…”

” Yes I feel hurt, the more reason for you to stay away for now, please I beg you” Elena said and rushed into the school

Shane faced Carl and smiled dryly. “She needs time” he said simply and is about to leave when he looked back

“And Please..you have to keep protecting her from the monster you created” he said before walking away

Someone suddenly hugged him from behind in the hallway and he knows it’s her immediately

He turned to her and hugged her tightly, inhaling her refreshing scent

“I’m sorry for running away, I just can’t face him yet” she said

” I understand’ Shane replied.

Miley watched from the end of the corridor and sighed. “They look like matchmade from heaven or so” she muttered and turned to go, bumping into Warren in the process and his books fell

They bent and picked it together before she handed it to him, he took it gently

“Sorry, bumping into you was a mistake” she said

” I understand” he replied and started walking away

“Warren” she called and he looked back

“How…are you doing?, How’s your sister doing?” She asked awkwardly

” Fine” Warren replied casually, wondering how she found out he has a sis

He made to go again but she talked again.

“Will you…help me with my project?, My partner is not being serious” she said

Warren waited for a while as if downloading his words before speaking

“I’m sorry but no” he said and made to leave.

” I’ll go on a date with you if you help me with the project” Miley said slowly but cutely, making Warren stop abruptly

He looked back swiftly and walked back to her

“When should we start working on the project?” He smiled.
