Bianca was seen sitting outside and crying her eyes out when her mother walked up to her ”bianca my daughter! wat is it and why are u crying? Mrs nana asked in a concerned tone as she sat beside her ”mama pls leave me alone let me cry my eyes out since is wat u want”, bianca said still crying ”my daughter pls talk to me wat is the matter? Mrs nana asked and held her on the shoulder ”mama why are u like this? why treating me like a nobody? I thought I am ur daughter? bianca cried ”offcourse u are my daughter! but why saying all this? Mrs nana asked confusedly ”mama! I should be the one processing for my school and not my brother! u promise to further my education, but why the sudden change? why putting Ben in school when am supposed to be the one processing my school! mama why do u hate me this much? bianca cried while Mrs nana sighed ”my daughter I do not hate any of u, u supposed to understand how situation is to us! why not consider ur younger brother who hasn’t gone to secondary school? pls my daughter! allow ur poor brother to go to school, it has always been his dream to go to secondary school! not that u will not further ur education, u will at the right time, but for now u just have to understand situation! the bean cake business is not fetching me enough money as before! pls my daughter just understand and bear with me”, Mrs nana consoled ”mama! if u want to put me in school u can do it, the money is there”, bianca said ”how do u mean the money is there? Mrs nana asked confusedly ”mama why not sell that small farmland belonging to papa and put me in school! atleast when u sell it, the money will be enough for u to put me in school”, bianca said cleaning her eyes ”wat?? I should sell the only farmland belonging to ur late father? am surprised this came out from ur mouth! I should sell the only property ur father has simply because u want to further ur education? over my dead body will I try such, that farmland is reserved”, Mrs nana said ”then be ready to loose me because am going to kill myself”, bianca said, stood up and was about walking away when her mother stopped her ”bianca! why are u doing this to ur poor mother? are u enjoying seeing me suffer? why don’t u want to take things easy? Mrs nana said almost in tears ”mama me I don’t know wat u are talking about o! if u cannot do wat I ask of then be ready to loose me! I have said my own”, bianca added and was about entering in,side when her mother held her hand ”ok ok! if that is wat u want! if selling the land and put u in school will make u happy then I will do it but though I know ur father will not be happy for wat I did by selling that land he reserved for ur younger brother! but do I have chioce?I can’t be alive and watch my daughter hurt or harm herself”, Mrs nana cried ”mama nothing will happen! papa is dead and the dead has nothing to do with the living! u made a good decision by agreeing to sell the land and put me in school! don’t worry mama! I will come out with flying colour, look for a decent work and take very good care of u and Ben! I promise I will not fail u! thank u very much mama”, bianca said excitedly and hugged her mother who was almost in tears.
Three months later, bianca was done with her examinations, both jamb, neco, Gce, and waec, all her papers were excellent as she was been transferred to university of unilag,.. the day for her to go to university came, she packed all her belongings and ready to go when her mother called her to seat ”pls mama whatever u wants to say pls make it quick am running late”, bianca said looking at her wrist watch ”my daughter! now that u are about going to school I want u to focus on ur studies! always remember the family u came from and always remember to be praying often! don’t associates urself with bad gangs! pls my daughter! make me ur mother proud by coming out with a flying colour”, Mrs nana said ”mama I have heard all wat u said! I promise to make u proud! u will not regret ever putting me in school mama! I will miss u guys so much”, bianca said and hugged her as tears clouded Mrs nana’s eyes.
Bianca got to unilag and was directed to her room, on reaching there, she entered and met two beautiful girls of about her age, she greeted them but got no response ”cant u knock before entering in,side? just look at the way u barge in,side like ur father owns this university”, one of the girl whose name happens to be Sharon angrily said ”am sorry! I was told this is my room, am a new student”, bianca said ”oh so sorry for my manners, I never knew u were our roommate! my name is Sharon and this is rose”, Sharon introduce ”hi”, rose greeted ”hi”, bianca respond waving her hand ”so wat is the name? Sharon asked smiling ”am bianca Clinton”, bianca lied ”oh my! wat a coincidence! u bear the same name with that of the senetor’s daughter whose name happens to be bianca Clinton”, Sharon said smiling ”well actually! I am bianca Clinton, the only daughter of senetor ben Clinton”, bianca lied ”oh my God! I can’t believe the senetor’s daughter is our roommate”, Rose said excitedly and ran to hug bianca.

I can’t believe the senetor’s daughter is our roommate”, Rose said excitedly and ran to hug bianca ”u are so welcome my lady”, rose said immediately she disengaged from the hug ”wow! nice having u as our roommate my lady”, Sharon said smiling ”u can keep ur belongings there my lady”, Sharon said to bianca, pointing at a particular side ”ok thank u very much”, bianca said walking towards the direction she was asked to dropped her bags ”welcome once again my lady! so how is ur father the senetor? Sharon asked smiling ”he is fine, he travelled to Dubai four days ago but he will be coming back in two days time”, bianca lied and quietly sat on the bed with them, they gist and gist throughout that day until sleep took over.
FOUR DAYS LATER
”it has been four days now ur sister went to school and we are yet to hear from her! I have been trying her number since the past three days now but not connecting, I just hope she is ok there? Mrs nana panicked ”mama u worry too much! bianca is fine maybe there is no network there that was why her number isn’t connecting”, Ben said and stood up ”i just hope so o”, Mrs nana said ”mama she is fine! pls mama let me go get dress for school before I run late”, Ben said ”ok my son! I left some bean cake for u in,side, take it and go to school”, Mrs nana said ”ok mama, thank u very much! let me rush and gets dressed up”, Ben said walking away.
”bianca pls can we be friends? I mean best friend”, Sharon said smiling and looking at her ”we are friends already”, bianca said and yawned ”yea I know we are friends, but I mean best of friends”, Sharon said ”ok no prob u are now my best friend but don’t betray me”, bianca said ”i promise I won’t my bestie”, Sharon said ”i have a party to attend to this night, I hope u don’t mind coming with me? Sharon asked ”i don’t like partying nor clubbing, because am not used to that! my dad senetor ben forbids that! am sorry girlfriend”, bianca said ”no prob! I understand”, Sharon said ”ok then see u later bestie! I have a class to attend to”, Sharon said and stood up from the bed ”ok no prob! mine is in the afternoon”, bianca said ”ok then bye, see u later”, Sharon said, pecked her before leaving, not too long when Sharon left, bianca’s phone started ringing, she looked at the caller and hissed ”i don’t know why this woman is calling now? abeg no use ur own disturb me o”, bianca said with a frown face before picking the call ”hello mama wat is it? why are u calling now? bianca rudely said on phone ”bianca my daughter! this one I haven’t heard from u since the past five days I hope u are ok there? Mrs nana asked at the other ends of the call ”look mama! u are disturbing me, I don’t need ur call for now, especially these days that am busy with lectures! don’t call this number again o mama”, bianca said and ended the call on her mother’s ear ”i think it hærd time I block my mother’s number! I don’t want her disturbance at all”, bianca said, hissed, brought out her mother’s number and block it instantly.
Meanwhile Mrs nana dialled the number again, but this time it says ‘the number u dialled does not exist’ ”wat is happening? bianca cuts the call on my ear and this time it say the number does not exist”, Mrs nana said worriedly looking at her phone.
