“Karma is a bitch” Annabelle grin and push the dagger further, brutally into her head.

Bianca’s blood splashed all over the white sheet. Ricky’s eyes widened in terror while Lord Smith let out a dark chuckle. He is never going to let this slide.

Annabelle removed her daggers swiftly from Bianca’s face as she took her last breath. She slowly turn to Ricky, her eyes burn with excitement.

“Stop!” Lord Smith’s voice sounded as she made to attack him. A displeasing look appeared on her face. Is Ricky going to escape this just because he is his brother?

“Godfather” she frowned.

“I’ll handle him” Lord Smith said, he continued. “C’mon now Doll, you’ve done a good job. Ricky will be punished too but not with death”

Annabelle sneered and shot a glare at Ricky who glued himself to the wall with a stun look. With slow steps, she left the room and shut the door.

Lord Smith shifted his gaze to his brother. Ricky clinched his jaw hard.

“You shouldn’t have killed her” He spoke, his voice trembling a little.

“You shouldn’t have sexed her.. I know you two had been together secretly..” Lord Smith stepped forward to him.

“Then why didn’t you react?” He asked.

“I wanted to test Doll” Lord Smith’s eyes flickered with something dangerous. Just yesterday he killed Scar just to know how fast Annabelle’s revenge is going to be.

“And I must say, she getting more dangerous”

Getting to her room, Annabelle punch the wall hard with groan, leaving a crack on the wall. Her anger isn’t settled..

She laid in her bed for a long time with many things running through her mind, one of the mobsters came to bring her dinner but she rejected it saying she wants to be alone. Something clicked her mind, and she sprang up from her bed.

Luckily for her, Ethan’s laptop is still with her. Just when she made to search for it she got a strange feeling.

Someone had entered her room while she was in school, the arrangements seems different.

She carefully look around her room and then.. she spot it… A hidden small camera at one side of her room.

The devil is watching her..

In his dark office, Lord Smith eyes squinted with amusement. He is going to be keeping an eye on her from now on.

Meanwhile Ethan ate quietly as Mrs Serena kept telling him about her day of work. He was only humming in reply.

“Okay, what’s wrong?” she finally asked when she couldn’t take the weird response anymore.

“Nothing” He replied short.

“Whenever there’s something, you always say nothing or hum” She said.

“Nothing” he replied again while eating slowly.

“How’s Annabelle? It’s being long I’ve seen her. Is everything alright with you two?” She asked.

“Hmm”

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” She almost raised her voice and Ethan finally look up at her. “I thought we’ve pass the terms of keeping things away from each other”

“Uhm.. sorry mom I was just thinking” Ethan replied lowly.

“About what?” She asked.

“About.. sigh.. I don’t know, I just don’t know what to do or think. I feel like she slipping away from me” Ethan muttered.

“There’s no love without battle. The question is.. is it worth fighting for?” She asked and watch him clinch his jaw before nodding. “Then fight for it until it works” she stood with a smile and tap his shoulder gently before entering the kitchen.

Determination flashed on Ethan’s face.

(NEXT DAY.. BRILLIANT HIGH)

Annabelle took a deep breath, staring at the classroom she was about to go into.

“You can do this Annabelle, all you have to do is ignore him.. don’t talk to him, don’t even look at him or smile. It’s for his own good” she closed her eyes and whispered to herself again. “It’s for his own good”

With slow steps, she walked into the class and her jaw practically dropped on the floor when she saw Ethan sitting on Daniel’s seat, which was next to hers. She spot Daniel sitting with Barbara.. and gave him a questioning look.

“He said he was going to burst my balls if I don’t change my seat” Daniel answered her unspoken question. “Beside I’m fine here with Barbara.. since you guys are together then it should be fine”

Annabelle exhaled nervously and move her gaze to Ethan, who gave her a wink… Gosh! He is so stubborn and handsome!

Why does he have to be this handsome? Is she going to be able to avoid him while sitting next to him? Why is he making it so hard for her? Isn’t he scared after she had told him what she does?

Having no choice, she walk to sit beside him.

“Good morning babe” Ethan greeted but didn’t get a reply. “It’s a bad thing not to reply your boyfriend”

Annabelle placed her book on the table with a light thud and look at him. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ethan asked back rasing his brow. “Do you remember what I told I’ll do once you try to avoid me?” He asked and she swallowed.

That was the day they kissed in the library..

“This is not a joke Ethan..”

“I’m not joking.. I know I should be running away from you but I can’t. No matter how hard I try, I can’t stop thinking about you. I’ve missed you Belle.. it feels like I’m crazy” he spoke, Annabelle could feel her heart fluttering at his word.

She is right, this is going to be harder than she thought…

“Do you feel the same?” He asked all of a sudden.

Annabelle avert her gaze from him. “I don’t have a choice Ethan.. I won’t forgive myself if anything happens to you” she felt his hand under the table holding hers. The hand felt warm and eased her tense nerves.

“I was told to fight for what is worth for me” he muttered and their eyes met again with emotions swirling in them.

Selene who was watching them twitch her lips. “Those two look cute together” she said. Jennifer who heard this gave her a look. “Oh that came out wrong” she quickly said.

“It’s fine, I’m over him already” Jennifer replied.

“Really? I can see the way you stare at him” Selene said.

“It’s just that Annabelle isn’t what he think she is” Jennifer muttered and Selene frowned.

Just then, the teacher walked into the class and the students composed themselves. Annabelle bought out her pen and began to write down something.

ISADORA..

Her brow furrowed at the word as she stared that it.. “Isadora” she muttered. It’s a name..

It was time for Lunch, Barbara face Daniel. “I wanna speak with you.. but I need to do something first” She said and Daniel nodded.

He pack his books and made to head towards the library but a hand pulled him to a corner.

“Patricia?” He frowned.

“Yeah.. I.. I need to speak with you” She said, looking a bit disturbed.

“Which is?” Daniel raised his brow.

“What did you do to me?” She asked.

“I didn’t do anything, I swear..”

“No you did something.. I’m a hot girl but right now, I’ve been ignored by students.. I mean why the hell am I stalking you and why do I get riled up whenever I see you with Barbara” she almost raised her voice.

Daniel’s lips parted with surprise. “Wait.. don’t tell me you’re… Jealous” he muttered.

“No I’m not Jealous.. I’m just upset whenever I see you with Barbara” she explained.

“That’s the definition of jealous”

“And if someone is jealous what does that mean?” She asked.

Daniel blinked severally. “It means you like the person”

“Does this means I like you?” Patricia eyes widened.

“I’m shocked myself” Daniel muttered with shock registered on his face.

Patricia slowly went down and Daniel quickly caught her waist.

‘This is a dream right? Why is my heart fluttering at his touch?’ she asked herself inwardly.

“Are you okay? Should I take you to the clinic?” He asked still holding her waist.

Patricia stood up right and cleared her throat.. “I’m fine” with her face flushed, she left him there.

Daniel couldn’t help but thought about what just happened. Patricia likes him? The hot girl who bully him a lot, likes him? Shaking his head he head towards the library to lend a book. He finally got to see Barbara.

“You said you want to tell me something” He said to her.

“Yeah.. I..” Barbara took a deep breath. “I like you and I wish us to be more than friends. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and I think I’ve made up my mind..” Barbara bit her lips.

Daniel was so stun he couldn’t say anything.

Two girls just proposed to him.. on the same day!!

Is he still on earth?

“Annabelle.. I think something is wrong with the school” Daniel rushed to tell Annabelle who was busy sitting alone. She was busy staring at the name she wrote in the class earlier.

“What happened?” Annabelle asked and Daniel told her how Patricia and Barbara asked him out.

“I don’t know what to do.. I mean it was so unexpected. Why would they want someone like me?”

Annabelle smirked.. “Do you want an advice?” She asked.

“Yes please, I feel suffocated right now” he said.

“Then. You have to do me a favour”

After lunch, Ethan just finished his practice and to his dismay, he saw Daniel sitting back on his seat. With a frown, he walked towards him.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He asked. His eye went to Annabelle but she wasn’t looking at him.

“This is my seat and I don’t want to leave” Daniel replied. Annabelle was the one who asked him to say that word.

Ethan nodded gently, is she so adamant to push him away?

“Okay” Ethan clinched his jaw and went to sit on his previous seat.

Annabelle let out the breath she was holding. She badly want him by her side but thinking of the consequences, she had no choice.

“Are you guys fighting?” Daniel asked beside her.

“I just don’t want him around me anymore, don’t ask why” She replied in a sharp tone.

“Alright.. I know you have a good reason for doing this.. I just hope you’re doing the right thing” Daniel said and he look at her.

“What do you mean?” She asked.

“Sometimes you just have to face your fear” Daniel said and Annabelle kept quiet.

Face your fear..

(DRAGON’S)

Lord Smith led Annabelle into a dark room. There was a large fire at the middle of the room. Her eyes settled on a figure kneeling, he was only wearing a trouser, his chest revealed with sweat dripping all over him.

Ricky!

The heat coming from the fire was unbearable for him and he kept on groaning.

“I thought you might wanna see this” Lord Smith said, but Annabelle was silent. “He had been like this since last night.. is your anger satisfied?” He asked.

“Who am I to decide? He offended you” Annabelle replied smartly.

“Hmm, nice one doll.. I thought you were doing this because of Scar. I thought you wanted to avenge him” he said lightly.

Annabelle gave Ricky a blank look. His expression shows he was suffering the hot tense heat.

“I only want you to know what they have been doing behind your back” Annabelle replied.

“That’s right, what about the little fella.. I thought I asked you to let me know who…”

“I’m not seeing him again, I promise” she cut in quickly.

Lord Smith didn’t reply as he led her out of the room. She saw some mobsters preparing their guns.

“One of the bad guys was spot around this area” he said handing a paper to her.

Annabelle lips fell apart.. this area is around Ethan’s place. The picture of the person was given to her too. He is a middle aged man trafficking drugs.. he stole from Lord Smith.

“I need you to go there and end him”

Annabelle kept quiet as Ethan’s word rang in her head. ‘You don’t get to decide whether a person should live or die!’

“Doll” Lord Smith’s word get her back to her Senses.

“Yes Godfather” she shook the weird thought and grab her weapon.

In the dark street, Ethan stared at the old woman who was damn slow on finding her glasses. His patients was running out already.

“You know what ma’am, keep the change” he said.

“I’ll find my glasses dear, you don’t have to do that” he voice came out a bit weak.

“It’s fine ma’am” he made to leave but bump into a man instead.

“Sorry” the man quickly said. His breath was a bit shaky. Ethan made to leave but the man held him. “Hey son. Can you do me a favour?”

“What?” He asked.

The man bought out a later and gave it to him. “Give it to my daughter, the address is at the edge”

“Why don’t you give it to her yourself?” He asked.

“I’m afraid.. I think I’m going to die soon” The man said and Ethan frowned. His eyes widened in terror as he spot a figure across the street.

She’s here!

Ethan trace his gaze but she was gone. The man started running.

“Hey!” Ethan called but he kept on running as fast as he could. Just then, Ethan lost him. With his chest beating so hard, he look around the dark street with no sign of him.

He suddenly heard a scream, that’s definitely the man. He ran towards the direction and the blood on his face dries.

The man was sitting on the floor brutallly injured. His hands and legs seems broken.. tracing his gaze up his eyes met with someone.

Annabelle!

“Belle?” He muttered with his eyes widened.

Annabelle who gaze was focused on the man, eyes soften as they slowly move to Ethan. This would be the first time he’ll see her this way. She made to shoot but he yelled.

“Stop!!”

“Go away! This is who I am okay!” Annabelle yelled back but the boy walk fast towards her and pull her to himself.

“Please stop, this isn’t you” His voice came shaky. Is he crying? “Please don’t” he whispered again.

Annabelle went limb as she kept on staring into space. He was hugging her so tight. The man was still on the floor, unable to move because of his broken bones.

“Why are you so stubborn?” She whispered silently her heart break into pieces. She held the gun tight, she couldn’t use it. She was helpless before him. He is just like her weakness.

“I love you, so please don’t” he hug her tighter. His voice croaked, as tears slipped down his eyes.

His words hit her so hard, she bit down her lips.

In the dark, a tall figure showed up and lift a gun…

Two gunshot sounded…
