HER QUEST FOR REVENGE
CHAPTER 27đ„
âQuick, get out the trampoline!!â Olivia yelled on her ear bud.
The troops quickly pulled out the trampoline and walked to where Roxanna was going to land.
Yvonne reached at the rooftop and didnât see Roxanna. She saw a helicopter flying away and in it is Alec.
âYou arenât going anywhereâ She said said and aimed her launcher at him.
âSay hello to the devil for meâ Yvonne said and pulled the trigger. It hit the helicopter and it caught fire then exploded in mid air with different particles falling on the groundâŠ
She quickly rushed to the railing and looked downâŠ
Roxanna landed on the trampoline and the men carried her to the car. She was also rushed to the hospital.
Yvonne sat down on the floor as no gunshot where heard.
âFinally, itâs overâ She said with a smile. Almost immediately the rain began falling. She let the rain drench herâŠ
The car opened and one of the men carried Roxanna out of the car. The reporters who were still outside gasped as they saw Roxanna. She was barely recognizableâŠ
She was rushed to the surgery room, same as RulianâŠ
Yvonne and the other went back home and changed before coming to the hospitalâŠ
Immediately Mason saw her, he sprang up from his seat and stared at her. She smiled and then quickly him.
âThank goodness youâre aliveâ Mason said with a smile on his faceâŠ
Olivia stood at a corner with a smile on her face but her smile faded as she remembered Roxanna situation.
Jenny walked out of Nathaniel waved within smile on her faceâŠ
âThe doctor said heâll be fine. Heâs gonna wake up soonâ Jennifer announced.
Kelvin hugged her happily.
âLetâs just pray for Rulian and Roxannaâ Olivia said.
She glanced at Ronald and he had a look of worry on his face. Olivia walked up to him and rubbed his shoulder, he looked up at her.
âItâs okay, heâll be fine. Iâm sure of thatâ Olivia said.
He nodded with a smileâŠ
Catherine made to enter the hospital when suddenly someone pulled her to a corner. She made to fight but stopped as she saw who it wasâŠ
âChris?â She saidâŠ
âIâm sorry for what Iâm about to do but I canât take it any longerâ
With that said he crushed his l-ips on hersâŠ

The doctor walked out of the hall and everybody stood up waiting for what theyâll say.
He sighed loudly and then smiled.
âLooks like those two were so willing to live. If there were brought here a minute later, we might have lost him. Luckily the bullet were extracted they are out of danger though Miss Roxanna will need a blood transfusion. Apart from that theyâre fineâ He said.
They all heaved a sigh of relief and sat back downâŠ
âCan we see themâ Suzy asked.
âYou can once we transfer them to their wardâ The doctor said and walked away.
Suzy smiled happilyâŠ
Roxanna was transferred to the same ward as Nathaniel as for Rulian, he was transferred to another ward.
_________Some hours later.
Nathaniel slowly opened his eyes and squinted them due to the light.
*What Iâm I doing here* He thought.
He then remember what happened, how he was shot and also that Roxanna is agent R.
He slowly sat up on bed and scanned round the room, no one was there. He noticed that there was another patient in the room.
He looked carefully and his eyes wÂĄdened as he saw it was Roxanna.
He disconnected all the tubes in him and slowly climbed down the bed holding his wounded stomach.
With slow steps he walked up to her bed. He sat down on a stool beside her bed and held her hand. Tears gathered in his eyes as he saw all the bruises on her face.
He raised her hand to his l-ips and kssed it. He slowly parted her hair as he removed some strand of her hair covering her face.

The door opened and Jennifer walked inâŠ
âNate, youâre awake!! What are you doing? Youâre supposed to restâ She said as she walked towards him.
âIâm fine, I rather be here than on that lonely bedâ He replied.
âTell me what happenedâ Nathaniel asked.
Jenny sighed and then told him everything that happened. How she was kidnapped and t©rtured and all the like.
Nathaniel was already in tears as he heard all that.
âIâm so sorry. If I didnât go to confront you, you could have succeeded in escapingâ He said to unconscious Roxanna.
He slowly leaned forward and kssed her forehead. Seeing all these bruises on her is like his heart was being $tabbed countlessly.
Jennifer slowly walked out of the ward leaving them aloneâŠ

Rulian opened his eyes and looked at his right. He smiled as he saw Suzy, she had her head on the bed as she slept soundly.
âSuch a cutie pieâ He said.
He rocked her cheek and then touched her l-ips. That seemed to wake her up.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes then looked at Rulian.
âThank goodness youâre safeâ She saidâŠ
He smiled and slowly made some space on the bed for her.
âCome on, itâs night. Come and sleepâ He said to her.
She smiled and climbed on the bed. He covered them properly with the sheets and kssed her forehead.
âSleep my angelâ Rulian said.
She snuggled with his chest but made sure not to press on his wound as she drifted off to sleepâŠ
________Next morning
Olivia woke up and went to take a bath. After her bath, she wore a white shirt and a short skirt. She noticed a note on her bed
She looked round her room but saw no one, she then walked to the window, no one was thereâŠ
She picked up the note and opened the envelop
đ Meet me at the central park. Iâll be waiting for you beside the fountainâŠ
She looked on the bed and saw a pink rose on the bed. She picked it up and inhaled itâs scent with a smile on her lip. No one needs to tell her that itâs her mysterious lover.
She looked at her self in the mirror and decided to change but stopped.
*He saw me in my nightie with my hair disheveled like a man woman. Whatâs there to impress* She thought.
She picked up a handbag and walked put of the house.
âMum, dad, Iâll be back in an hour timeâ She said to her mother before walking out of the house heading to the park.
A cab stopped her and she alighted its then walked up to the fountain and stood there waiting for him. Her eyes traveled round the people passing by but no one looks like him.
She sat down on a bench beside the fountain as she fundled with the rose with her eyes scanning through the crowdâŠ
*Maybe he was just making a fool out of you* She thought.
She stood up angrily and turned to leave but stopped as she almost bumped into Ronald.
âIâm sorry Iâm lateâ He said with a smile on his l-ipsâŠ
Her eyes almost popped out of itâs socket as he said it.
*Heâs the one Iâve been waiting for* She thought staring at him.
âThe truth is that I love you Olivia and Iâll wait for yourâŠâ
Olivia let the rose she was holding fall down then she filled in the space between them and held the front of his shirt. She pulled him closer and sealed his l-ips in for a deep kss.
Ronald froze for some seconds before kssing her back as the passer by cheered for themâŠ

Roxanna slowly opened her eyes and squinted them due to the light.
âWhere Iâm I?â She said in a whisper.
Memories of all what happened came flushing back and she looked at her body and then at her surrounding. She was alive!!!
*Looks like I escaped death the second time* She thought.
Her eyes wÂĄdened as she saw Nathaniel beside her. His head was resting on the edge of the bed as he slept soundly.
Roxanna smiled. Seeing him here beside her brings so much joy in her but she canât help to worry about his wound.
She slowly patted his hear smiling happily. Nathaniel felt someone patting his head so he opened his eyes and was surprised to see that she was awake.
He sat up properly and held her hand as he smiled at her. Roxanna tried to sit up but her wh0le body was still aching really bad.
âCarefulâ Nathaniel said as he helped her sit up.
They stared at each other for so long.
âIâm sorryâ Roxanna said, looking down.
âHuh?â
âIâm sorry I hid my identity from you. If I told you earlier, this wouldnât have happened. Itâs partly my fault that you were shotâ Roxanna said as tears threatened to fallâŠ
âHey, donât you dare cryâ Nathaniel said with a smileâŠ
She sniffed in her tears. He then cupped her cheek and made her look at him.
âItâs okay. The most important thing is that weâre still alive and together.â Nathaniel said.
Roxanna nodded and smiled.
âI missed that smileâ He said and chuckled.
âI love you and no one and nothing can ever change thatâ Nathaniel said.
âLove you moreâ Roxanna said and held his arm.
Despite the pain he felt in his stomach, he leaned towards her and slowly kssed her.

âGo on, go and rest youâre also hurtingâ Roxanna said.
âAlrightâ He said and stood up then walked to his bed. He laid down and continued staring at her.
__________Later
âWow, canât believe all this is overâ Jennifer exclaimed and fell on Kelvinâs b.ed. She was going to spend the night there.
Kelvin leaned on the wall and stared at her.
âWhat?â She asked as she noticed him staring.
âStill that changes nothing, what if something bad happened to you?â He saidâŠ
Jenny bit her l-ips, not knowing what to say again.
He looked up at her and then smiled.
âI love you, never doubt thatâ He said.
She smiled and closed her eyes.
She blushed and looked away but he made her face him then kssed her forehead.
âNo need to be shyâ He said with a smile.
Jenifer nodded. Kelvin held her hand and placed it on his chest.

Roxanna stretched her hands as she walked into her house. Her new mom, dad were all there.
She hugged all of them and went up to her room then collapse on her bed.
âI missed this bed so much!! Canât believe I spent a wh0le week in the hospital and all because of Nathaniel. That somehow cute of himâ She said to no one in particular.
Nathaniel was discharged four days earlier.
She sat up on her bed and went to her wardrobe then removed her family album.
She began going through Camella pictures, her parents and also their cute cat Whiskers.
âI wonder where Whiskers is right now?â She thought.
She laid back on the bed while hugging the album.
âMom, dad, stupid sis, I hope youâre proud of me wherever you are. I succeeded in avenging your death. All that wonât be possible without the help of my best friendsâ She said with a smile.
She kept back the album and went downstairs.
âSurprise!!!â The girls said as she reached downstairs.
âWow you girls are here. I missed you so muchâ She said and stretched her arms.
They all did a group hugâŠ
âCome on letâs go have some fun youâll fist me everything that happened while I was awayâ She said as they walked out of the houseâŠ
They all had fun all day long.
Roxanna went to Nathaniel studio and saw him singing she made to sit down but he gestured for her to come closer
She came closer and he pulled her closer by the wa-ist and kssed her.
The people who were there began clapping for them. They broke the kss and he smirked naughtilyâŠ
âWhat was that for?â Roxanna askedâŠ
âThatâs just a welcome back kss. The main deal is still comingâ He said and winked.
âGood thing youâre here. You said your dream was to sing with me right? Well letâs make it come through. In two days time Iâm holding a concert while donât you sing with me on that day?â He asked.

She jumped on him and he carried her as she hugged him tightly.

He chuckled..

He placed her down.

She pushed him away and chuckled.

He laughed and picked a headset then helped her wear it.
She stood behind her own microphone and they began rehearsing.

They were shopping and Ronald I sitting down on the floor, resting. Itâs been an hour and the quantity of dresses and shoes she shopped are just unbelievableâŠ
âI want to rest for a whileâ He said breathing heavilyâŠ
âWe havenât shopped half of what I needâ She said pulling him up.
He stood up with a pout on his faceâŠ
âMy feet are hurtingâ He said.
âJust a little. Please?â She made her best puppy eyes.
He pulled her closer and claimed her l-ips kssing her till she was breathless.

Meanwhile their body guard where struggling to carry all the bags she shoppedâŠ

âMason, Mason, Masonâ Yvonne cheered as Mason was surfing.
They are at the beach. Yvonne took as much pictures as possible of him surfingâŠ
He stopped surfing and walked towards her dripping w-t.
He smiled as he reached where she wasâŠ
âNever knew you can surf?â Yvonne said checking out the pictures she took of himâŠ

He leaned in and took in her l-ips, she immediately melted in his arms.
They continued kssing when Catherine smelled something burning. Her eyes flew open and she pushed him away running to the kitchen.

She stood by the living room and glared at Chris who was laughing loudlyâŠ

Suzy and Rulian were walking down the street with their hands entwined together.
âOne day this is how weâre gonna walk but not the two of us. Weâll be with out kidsâ He said and Suzy blushed.
She pecked his cheek and placed her head on his shoulder as they continued strolling down the streetâŠ

âCan I remove my blindfold?â Roxanna asked
âNo, not yetâ Nathaniel said as he guided her to a room.
He released her hand.
âYou can removeâ He said.
She remove it and gasped as she saw a very beautiful decorated room with rose petals everywhere and a red carpet with a love shaped bed.
She looked at Nathaniel and he offered her a red rose. She took it gladly and inhaled itâs scent and smiledâŠ
âThis place is beautiful. Thanks heartbeatâ She saidâŠ
âAnything to make you smile loveâ He repliedâŠ
He raised his hands to her and she took it. Music began playing and they began dancing to the rhythm of the musicâŠ
After the music he slowly laid her down on the bed as they never broke their gazeâŠ
âPlease be gentle, Iâve never done this beforeâ Roxanna said and looked away.
He held her chin and made her look at him.
âI know and I promiseâ He said and kssed her forehead.

âNate, please. I canât take it any longerâ Roxanna said as tears escaped her eyes.
Nathaniel pulled out and laid beside her. He covered them with the duvet and kssed her forehead.
âThanks for giving me your prideâ He said.
She nodded sleepily with a smile before sleeping off. He pulled her closer and drifted off to sleep too.

Nathaniel opened his eyes and the first person he saw is Roxanna face, she was still sleeping soundly.
He touched her cute pointy nose and then her l-ips.
That seemed to wake her up as she opened her eyes sleepily and yawned.

âMorning Roxy. How are you feeling?â He asked.
âWellâŠa little bit sore but Iâm coolâ She said.

She hugged him.

The wh0le hall was in an out roar. Today, the âROSY girlsâ and Nathaniel Davis were going to perform live on stageâŠ
The hall was filled to the brink and everyone who couldnât afford for the ticket were watching it live at their homes.

Roxanna was smiling happily, today her dream will finally come through.
