Immediately he said that,Kristen broke into tears and nods her head repeatedly.
“Of course,,,,I will,,,” She said
Nicholas ins**ted the ring into her finger and stood up,,,he wiped her tears And hugged her tightly.
“I love you so much Kristen,,I promise to always stay by your side” He said
“I love you too” She said
He withdrawn from the hug and pecked her l-ips
“Let’s eat” He said holding her hand and they both walked to the table where everything was set.
“Wow Nick,,this is amazing” Kristen said still looking around
“Not as amazing as you are ” Nicholas said and she smiled and looked at her finger,,
“The ring,,it’s pretty. I can’t wait to show Jenna,,” Kristen smiled
“You seem to love her more than anything in the world,,,she deserves a mother like you. ” Nicholas said and hold her hand
“You’re the best thing that will ever happen to me,,,I really don’t want this to end. ” He said
Kristen smiled and k-ssed his hand
“Don’t worry,,,I have nothing to loose. Am all yours” She said

*On The Street,,Same Night**
As Shane and Megan walk side by side,they were both quiet. They’ve spent the wh0le evening together and now taking a long walk to the car.
Shane was dying to talk inwardly but his confidence keep on betraying him that he almost gave up.
Just speak up,,,if you get rejected once again then you’re letting go of her no matter how hærd it is. He thought and suddenly hold Megan’s hand which made her look up.
“Megan,,” He called and they both stopped walking
“What is it??” She asked
“I’m going to say this,one last time. After this,,I promise never to appear in front of you again,” He stopped for a minute
Megan raised her brow up
“I like you Megan,,,no,,,,I love you. I’m even more mad that you know about this but you keep playing with my heart,,,” He holds her cheeks
“Tell me now,,,will you accept my love for you??” he asked and the atmosphere changed instantly
Megan stared at him bluntly in silence
“Say something,,,,” He said
“Shane,,,I’m,,,,I’m sorry,,,,”
“Don’t finish it” Shane let out a fake smile
“You don’t have to feel sorry,,,I am just a fool. Don’t worry,,,I will keep my promise from now. I won’t ever talk to you about this again,,,let me take you home. It’s getting late” Shane smiled and touched her cheek as they walked to the car.
Megan keep on stealing gazes from him as he drives her home,,,he wouldn’t even look at her and she could see his eyes,he was looking so sad that she almost regret her action.
She was about speaking up when the car stopped and she discovered that they are home.
“We are here,,,goodnight to you” Shane said
Megan nodded
“Thanks for tonight” She said and get down from the car
Shane drove off instantly,,the tears he couldn’t control anymore started rolling down his eyes as he continue driving.
She was the first lady to ever attract her,,and to think she was all over his boss who doesn’t even care about her gives him more heartbreak that he couldn’t hold to himself.
He really lost control of himself that he didn’t look up to see a large trunk coming in front of him.
When he noticed,,it was already late and the trunk hit the car directly followed by a loud noise and there was total darkness.

Nicholas and Kristen laughed uncontrollably as they both shared the old time memories with each other.
“You remember the first time Jenna introduced me to you right??’ Kristen asked
“Yeah,what,,”
“I was actually about bowing my head to thank you but you shut the door to my face,,I was really shocked” Kristen said seriously and Nicholas smiled
“Why were you shocked??” He asked
“Seriously,,that was the first time a guy will ever be rude to me. Like,,,I was surprised” Kristen said
“Because you are pretty,,that’s why??” Nicholas asked
“I have no idea about that,,but it’s the first time. ”
“But you were able to cope with everything without a single complaint,,isn’t that amazing??” Nicholas said and pecked her l-ips
“The first time you k-ssed me,,,you were drunk. But I doubt that,,you were touching me crazily like you’ve always wanted to do that” Kristen teased
“What a silly thought of yours,,,I’ve never thought of touching you okay? It was a mistake” Nicholas scoffed and Kristen smirked
“So why didn’t you apologize the next day and tell me it was a mistake??” She asked
“I wanted to okay? I was actually planning to apologize that day,,but then,,,,,I don’t know why I ended up k-ssing you again. You were tempting” Nicholas said and Kristen chuckled
“You should have controlled it,,,I guess you like me” She said proudly and Nicholas scoffed
“You should have stopped me too,,I guess you liked me” He smirked
“Shut up,,who would resist your handsome face when doing that??” She said and they both laughed
“I think I should be thankful to the alcohol I took,,,all these wouldn’t have happened,,,faster” Nicholas said
“Faster?? Does that mean it would have happened even if you didn’t get drunk??” Kristen asked
“Yeah,,you’re a damn sed-ctress”
“No am not!! I don’t even have any idea about sed-cing you and all that,,” she laughed
“Come here” Nicholas pulled her up sat her down on his laps
“No matter what,,,you’re mine forever. Nothing is going to change that,,”
“I know” She smiled and k-ssed him immediately
The k-ss was interrupted by the sudden call on Nicholas phone.
He picked the call at once
“Yea Shane??”
“Is this Mr Bill?? ” the caller asked
Nicholas looked at Kristen with a confused face
“Yes I am,,where is Shane??” Nicholas asked
“The owner of this phone just had a very terrible accident and may not survive it,,we are on our way to the hospital right now,,,just calling you because you seem to be the most active on his contact”
Nicholas stood up immediately
“Text me the hospital you’re taking him to” He said
“I will”
” What’s wrong??” Kristen asked
“Shane,,,Shane had an accident. ” Nicholas broke the news and Kristen gasped
“Come with me,,” He immediately held her hand and they left.

“Be careful” Nicholas said to Kristen as they rushed into the hospital in a hurry.
“I’m fine” Kristen replied
“Oh,,Mr Bill you’re here” The Doctor in charge said when he saw them
“Please how is he??” Nicholas asked worriedly
“He’s really in a bad condition,,his car was hit and destroyed by a truck” The doctor said
“Jesus” Kristen muttered unbelievably
Nicholas sighed
“Please,,save him. Do anything to save him,,tell me how much you need,I will give you. Just make sure he survives this,,he’s very important to me” Nicholas said to the Doctor
“I will try my best Mr Bill,,I promise”
“Can we see him??” He asked
“You can,,but you won’t be going in.” the Doctor replied and took them in.

Andrew paced round the office restlessly,he was feeling so down.
He was about loosing a very important and profitable contract which requires some investment before he can achieve it,but the problem is,he doesn’t even have that amount of money .
The door opened and his secretary came in,,she bowed when Andrew faced her.
“Any news from Franco?” Andrew asked
“No sir,,unable to reach him.” She replied
“Damn it” He muttered and roughed his hair
“Sir,,why don’t we contact the Bill’s company,,they may help us with this,we can give it a try” She said
“I can’t do that,,just leave,it’s late” Andrew snapped
She bowed and then left the office
“Nicholas?? He definitely won’t help me” He said and sighed
He told his phone before going out of the office,,his driver was already coming to him.
“Are we leaving now??” He asked
“You want to sleep here??” Andrew asked
“No boss,,am sorry” The driver said and they both walked to the car.
He opened for Andrew and he entered,,all his mind was on how to get what he wanted at that moment but it seems like there’s no way.
He was so lost in thought,,he took a glance out of the car and he saw Nicholas and Kristen coming out of a hospital.
‘What are they doing here?’ He wondered
“Stop the car” He said to the driver who stopped immediately
Andrew got down from the car and stood there until they saw him,,
“Andrew??” Kristen called
“Hi” He smiled
Nicholas scoffed and grab Kristen’s hand,,he almost opened the car when Andrew spoke up.
“What are you guys doing here anyway?” He asked
“We came to buy snacks,,” Nicholas replied and Kristen almost laughed.
She tapped Nicholas who rolled his eyes
“Someone got injured,,,” Kristen said
“Why are you telling him?? Let’s go home” Nicholas muttered to her and she smiled
“Hey Nicholas,,we need to talk” Andrew said and Nicholas scoffed
“About what?? Are you going to tell me that I am not my dad’s son this time around??” Nicholas asked
“Not that”
“I am not interested okay?? I have nothing to say to you,,let’s not meet each other again” Nicholas snapped
Kristen tapped him again,,
“What” He asked in a whisper
“You don’t know what he want to talk about” Kristen whispered back
“I don’t care”
“Please,,I really want you back together” Kristen said
Nicholas faced Andrew
“Fine,,” He said
“My office or yours” Andrew asked instantly
“Mine,,I can’t step in that company of yours again” Nicholas replied
Andrew smiled
“Okay,,,expect me tomorrow” Andrew said
Nicholas ignored him and opened the door for Kristen to go in,,,after closing it he faced Andrew.
“I hope you’re not trying to joke with me again this time,,I’m gonna kill you,trust me” Nicholas said furiously before joining Kristen in the car.
Andrew stood there and watched until they were out of sight.
“Smile” Kristen said and touched Nicholas’s cheek
“What’s there to smile for?? I am damn worried right now,,I won’t forgive myself if anything happen to Shane” Nicholas said
“It’s not your fault okay? And I am sure he will be fine,,he will wake up soon. So don’t worry” Kristen said
“I hope so” Nicholas sighed
“But,,where was he coming from?? Definitely not from office right??” Kristen asked
“Oh,,,he told me he had a date with Megan. I doubt if Megan is aware of this” Nicholas said and took his phone
“Your secretary?? Are they couples??” Kristen asked
“How do you expect me to know that when Shane is unconscious now?? He told me he was going to talk to her today,,so I have no idea what happened between them” Nicholas replied
Kristen sighed curiously
“I don’t think it went well” Kristen said
“Why??”
“I think Megan rejected him,,,he must have been so hurt that he didn’t notice a truck coming his way,,I am very sure if he was so happy,then this wouldn’t happen” Kristen explained and Nicholas laughed
“Are you a detective?? Megan and Shane story have nothing to do with this,,it can happen to anyone,,so you think it was because Shane was emotionally down??” Nicholas asked
“Of course,I don’t think you’ve experienced a crazy heartbreak before,,you always get the girls” Kristen scoffed
“What about you? Have you ever experienced any heartbreak??” Nicholas asked
“Of course,,” She replied
“When and how??”
“In kindergarten,,the boy gave another girl his pencil. It was a heartbreak to me” Kristen said
Nicholas faced her
“Are you playing with me right now? Is that a heartbreak??” Nicholas scoffed and Kristen smiled
“We can’t guess until Shane is awake,,okay??”
“Okay,,and don’t forget to meet with Andrew tomorrow. I have a feeling he want you two to,,,,,,”
“If he want us to be friends again,then he’s only wasting his time. I don’t want his silly friendsh¡p anymore” Nicholas said
“Really??” Kristen teased and Nicholas looked at her briefly
“Why do you want us to be friends again?? I’m getting jealous already” Nicholas said and Kristen bursts into laughter
“Oh gosh,,Jealous for what right now?? You never seize to amaze me” She laughed
“Have you tried reaching your lady secretary??” Kristen asked
“Her name is Megan”
“I don’t need it” Kristen replied
“Okay,,,”
“Just okay??” She frowned
“Don’t start okay? Please” he said and touched her hair

*Next Day**
Megan rushed into the hospital in tears,she just received the bad news and she almost went crazy when she heard about what happened.
“Ma’am please take it easy” A nurse said
“Shane please,,what room is he in?? Please take me to him,,,” Megan rushed her words
“Calm down ,,,”
“Take me to Shane!!” She yelled
One of the nurses led the way and Megan followed impatiently.
They got to the room where Shane was laid on the bed still unconscious,,
“Is he,,,,in a comatose state??” She asked
“Yes ” The nurse replied before exiting the room
Megan couldn’t believe her eyes seeing the situation Shane was,,
She couldn’t even move her legs properly as she walked closer to him,,,her tears were dropping none stop.
“Oh,,,oh God,,,what,,what have I done?” She said brokenly
“Shane,,,,” she touched his hand which seems cold
“Oh,,,,,” she fell on the floor breaking into more tears
The door opened
Kristen and Nicholas entered and she looked up,,she stood up immediately.
“Sir,,,” she bowed
“Don’t worry Megan,,he will be fine” Nicholas said tapping her shoulder
“It was all my fault,,I caused it. I won’t forgive myself if anything happen to him,,it was all my fault” Megan said breaking into more tears
Nicholas sighed and gently pulled her into a hug
“He will be fine,,,you should pray for him and stop crying.okay??”
Megan nodded and he released her,,,
“You can stay with him,don’t worry about work” Nicholas said
“Thank you sir”
Nicholas nodded and walked out of the ward with Kristen
“Hey,,are you okay??” He asked holding her hand
“Don’t touch me” She Snapped
“What?? Why??”
She shunned him and entered into the car
“Kristen,,what is wrong with you?? Tell me” Nicholas said
“Just take me to mom,,I want to be alone” She mumbled
“Is it because of the hug??” Nicholas asked
She scoffed and looked away
“Oh,,really?? That was a harmless hug,,,she needed it okay?? ”
“So I don’t need it?? Such a flirt” She said
“Okay fine,,I am sorry okay?? I am really sorry,,it won’t happen again” He apologized
“I don’t care,just take me to mom. I will spend the day with her” Kristen said bluntly
Nicholas sighed out loudly and they zoomed off.
