CHAPTER 20…. 🤧😖

She quickly hurried out of Mira’s mom room but still someone saw her. A nurse.
She entered the room that the woman left.

She checked the patient but everything seemed okay. Maybe she just came for a small visit. The nurse shrugged and left the room to continue her work.

The presentation went quite well and they had already partnered with the Mr Luciano company.

“I look forward to working with you Mr Lockhart” the C.E.O of the company shook hands with Mr Lockhart.

“I should actually thank you for giving this meeting a chance” Mr Lockhart replied.

” No stress about that Ezekiel. I believe you had a very good reason for missing it.” ..

Soon Mr Luciano left .

Ezekiel quickly got back to work. Checking his paperwork when his phone ranged.

“Hel…”

“Mr Lockhart, you need to come to the hospital now sir” A nurse said before he could complete his word.

“What happened?” He asked . He could hear someone s¢ræming in the background.

“Pls sir, just come. It’s about the patient you brought yesterday” the nurse replied and hung up.

“We’re here” Thomas announced bringing Mira from her thoughts.

Mira looked at the boutique through the car window.

“Huh?” Mira was so confused as they got down from the car.
“I thought we were going to a mall” she asked.
The boutique was way too fancy and expensive. The kinds that rich people go to.

“Yes. This is where all the members of Lockhart family shop at” the young maid replied.

” Members? ” This time she was surprised.

” Yes”

” But where are they?” Mira hadn’t see anyone else apart from. Mr Lockhart and when he said others aren’t around, she thought he meant friends or colleague or anything else but she didn’t know he was referring to family.

Before the maid could reply, the owner of the boutique came out along with her sales girl.

“Oh Thomas , been a long time” the woman said . And Thomas greeted her. She was beautiful in her emerald green dress. You could tell she was the owner of the shop.

“Yes Mrs Smith” .

‘mrs Smith, so that’s her name’ Mira thought.

” Linda” the sales girl whispered to the young maid and she smiled.

It was as if they were using their eyes to communicate cause suddenly they giggled.

They must be close friends.

Mrs Smith gave her employee a Stern look and she immediately comported herself.
Mira focused on something else. She looked around the boutique. It was big and was decoratedly fancily, something befitting a rich man.

“Ok is she the one?” Mrs Smith asked pointing at Mira and Thomas nodded.

Mrs Smith examined her from head to toe before finally saying..”follow me”.

He got down from the car after parking it and quickly went in,side.
He got to the hallway of Mira’s mom room and he saw the doctor outside.

“What’s wrong doc?” He asked scared seeing the look on her face.

“Pls come to my office” he became confused but followed nevertheless. He gazed into Mira’s mom room and no one was there.

They entered her office and the doctor took deep breath and took of her glasses.

Oh oh…that’s not a good sign.

“Am afraid Mira’s mom has…has…” She paused..”she’s has lost it. Right now she needs to go for immediate treatment at the mental asylum”

“What are you trying to say doctor?..are you telling me she’s insane now?” He yelled. She was perfectly okay when they brought her so what the doctor was saying was Soo..Soo unbelievable.

“I really don’t know what went wrong but we found a higher amount of cocaine and fentanyl in her blood. These are very illegal drugs and it seems like someone purposely did this to her. I believe she’s a Target and unfortunately,they succeed ” she paused.
Then continued..”fentanyl is a very dangerous narcotics drug,and you can only imagine it’s effects when mixed with cocaine. You should have this investigated. These are banned and illegal drugs”

Mr Lockhart was already stressed by the news . How was he going to break the news to Mira that her mother was insane now.
Ah jeez…

“Where is she?”

“We kept her in a safe place. She had gone wild and was destroying everything s¢ræming at the top of her lungs and disturbing patients” she replied.

“so that was the s¢ræming sound I heard over the phone” he said to himself.
” I want to see her”.

Mira mom was kept in a special confinement. She was isolated so as to avoid her destroying more properties.

He watched through the glass how she behaved. One minute she was calm and reserved, the next she was shaken as if she had a nightmare or had seen ghosts. Then again , she went wild and laughed….

“Oh no!”

Chapter 21…. ⚡💖

“finally” she breathed out in relief. She had finally succeeded in her plans and soon she would hear the news she had always wanted to hear.

She poured for herself a glass of wine and cheered to herself on her supposed victory. “She called me insane . That rump dared to call me that. Now she is the one that has lost her mind” even though lady Ri didn’t know whether her plan worked as expected, she knew that no one would be able to handle the effects of fentanyl. It was a very strong drug. She was 100% sure she won’t be able to handle it.

“I need to go out and celebrate my victory” she said to herself and Patty who was beside her. She looked at the picture of her cat on the wall. She went closer to it and brought down the picture and car–sed it. “Mama has taken revenge for you… Mm..” she spoke to the picture.

Cutie, the cat was her best friend and companion ever since everything went down the drain. She was a newborn when her husband died. Then her kids left her and even when cutie mother ran away, she was still here. She had grown fond of the cat, that’s why she couldn’t handle the fact that it was killed due to someone carelessness. She had lost all sense of reasoning.

Putting the picture back in place, she grabbed her bag and her dog and entered her car. She was quite glad and joyful that she had ruin Mira’s family.

To Lådy Ri, she deserved it.

Why?..

Because the cat was her source of happiness and since Mira took that away from her, she vowed she would do the same to Mira’s family and she did.

She wanted to just stop at telling having Mira arrested but then, her mom had quite a sharp mouth and she decided to teach her a little lesson. She left Mira case and ensured she handled her mom first.

Now everything was settled. Mira is in prison and her mom was critically in the hospital probably going crazy and soon would be in a mental asylum. The same place she had advised Lady Ri to be.

She hummed to herself as she drove to her favorite boutique ALL YOU WANT. And they really lived up to their name. Everything you want concerning fashion was there.

Soon she had gotten there but she had a little trouble parking. That was because someone car too was parked there.

“Some people don’t just know anything. How can anyone park a car like this?” She sighed frustratedly but manage to calm down. She didn’t want anything spoiling her good mood.

She had to go and pack opposite the street in front of the a supermarket. Thankfully they allowed even though that wasn’t her destination.

She left Patty in the car and crossed the road and entered the boutique.

As soon as she entered, no body was at the counter to offer her services.

“Hello, is anyone here?” She called out but no one came.
“They couldn’t have left their boutique opened and leave”..

She saw the small beg on the counter and tapped it for the ‘ring’ sound to be heard but still.. no one. She decided to wait some more but even after 10mins ,no one came. She was getting impatient.

“Hello, can’t I get some services around here?” … She yelled louder. Everyone was just hellbent on destroying her very festive mood.

Soon she heard laughter coming from the inner room at the cloth section. Then she remembered that she saw a car parked outside.

“Humph… They’re all attending one person. A person that isn’t as important as me” she adjusted her handbag and walked towards the room. Before she could shift the curtains covering the room, the sales girl came out.

“Oh ma’am, am so sorry for keeping you waiting” .. she apologized.

“Do you know how long I’ve been hear huh? ” She shouted at the poor girl…

” Am sorry but we had an important customer and… ”

” Important!! “… She yelled even louder..” so am not important. Do you know for how long I’ve been shopping here huh? ”

From the dressing room, Mira could hear the noise of an angry customer.

She came out still dressed in a short yellow flare gown.

“Wow miss you look stunning in yellow” Thomas complimented and Mira smiled at him.

” So am not important…” The loud voice of a woman yelled was heard.

” Excuse Thomas. I have to attend to this” Mrs Smith said and left.

Mira went to look at herself in front of the mirror. The simple dress was indeed nice on her. But then, she felt like she didn’t deserve to wear something as expensive as this.

She sighed..

“Ma’am, you are disturbing my customers. You can’t come here and make noise” Mrs Smith said to the woman still shouting.

” Do you know how long I’ve been here waiting and you say am making noise. How dare you” now she was even angrier.

Mira became worried. She didn’t mean for Mrs Smith to have an unsatisfied customer. She went back and took of the dress. She started packing all the clothes and shoes she had picked out that fitted her. It’s high time she left so that the woman outside could be attended to. Linda the maid and Thomas too helped her.

“You know what ….. To hell with your boutique. Am never shopping here again” Lady Ri stomped out of the boutique angry.

” But ma’am” the sales girl called out…

“Let her be. Am going back in,side to check how things are with the girl. You stay here and attend to others that will come”
…….

” Arrrrggggg” she shouted angrily as soon as she entered her car. She hit the car horn and it blared loudly.

“Just when I was in a good mood, everyone just wants me to get upset” Patty raised up its head and looked at its owner very upset.

She climbed the seats and nudged her with it’s little head . Lady Ri sighed and patted its head.

She looked at the boutique and saw the ‘important customer coming out’…

“Oh, so now they’re done” she scoffed.

Then her eyes almost bulged out…
She saw Mira coming out, holding the shopping bags.

“Mira… Wh… What…!”
