CHAPTER 58 🌊

After he was done bathing, he left the house to go to get Dylan as he would be accompanying him to a place.

He picked up Dylan at his house and unfortunately the meeting didn’t go well with who they went to. They had to seek his help and he rejected them immediately.

Angered, he was driving back to work when a car sped by his splashing mud on his car.

“Can’t you drive?” He yelled at the man but he knew he won’t hear him anyway since he was already long gone.

Now he was really upset. Nothing went his way today. He felt like yelling at Some one right now. I certainly pity the person who would be unlucky to meet his wrath today.

Parking the car at the parking lot , he got down to meet Thomas who stood near another car.

“Seems like Ezekiel is already here” Damien muttered to himself.

“Oh my God, Damien…what happened to your car?” Thomas and Mabel were the only people permitted to call Ezekiel and him by their name afterall, they both took care of them in their childhood. They watched Ezekiel and Damien grow up to who they are now.

“Someone splash mud on my car.”

“Why would they do that?”

” Reckless drivers”

Taking out a file in his car, a toothbrush dropped to the group. Damien sighed Wondering who owned it . It’s probably Dylan.

‘that guy should really get himself a hairbrush”

” Keep this” he gave it to Thomas and entered the company.

People greeted him on the way but he didn’t respond to any. He wasn’t in the mood to talk anyway.

Looking at his supposed PA desk, it was neat and empty. Has she perhaps finish everything…so quick.

Well… that’s impressing .

He entered his office to see it very scattered and one thing he hated was a scattered office.

“Bellaaa” he yelled his cleaner name.

“Sir…”

“What’s the meaning of this?”

“Oh my God sir, I didn’t do this. I cleaned your office properly to your taste” she defended scared.

” Then who did this?”

” I don’t….it may have been your PA. I saw her entering with a huge pile of files” Bella informed him

” You may go”..as soon as he left,he wanted to explode with anger.

” Miraaaaa”

Layla watched from Ezekiel’s office window which faced the parking lot looking at Mira and Damien and from the looks of it,Damien wasn’t happy with the papers scatters.

” Am sorry Mr Damien but I had to do this” Layla said to herself smiling.

She felt too jealous to let this pass away. She had to do something. Her anger against mira was pretty much there

” What are you doing here?” She heard Ezekiel voice behind her. Oh, he was back.

” I ..erm…was checking something” layla stammered and left the office immediately. Ezekiel was quite suspicious and went to the window to see Damien and Mira outside near a dirty car.

“What’s going on?”

“Scrub the car” he ordered. Mira stood Looking at the toothbrush, then at the car then at him.

“Why?” Mira finally asked.

“As a punishment for what you did”

“But I didn’t do it. Why would I do that anyway?”

” I don’t care the reason why you did it. But all proof leads to you. Now start” he ordered again.

” I won’t do it” Damien eyes reddened at her answer.

‘how dare she defile me’ he asked himself

“Who do you think you are to defile my order. I said do it” he commanded making Mira to flinch.

” She won’t do it” Ezekiel voice was heard.

CHAPTER 59 AND 60..

CHAPTER 59….❌

“she won’t do it” Ezekiel voice was heard.

Right now, his blood was boiling with Mira answer and now , Ezekiel was supporting her over him… His brother.

“Stay out of this Kiel” Damien said but Ezekiel ignored him. Rather he went and took Mira by the hand and removed the brush in her hand throwing it on the floor.

Still holding her, he turned to Damien looking him in the eyes.
“She won’t do it and that’s final” after saying that, he grabbed her and left leaving damien fuming in anger.

“You didn’t have to do that” Mira finally said when they got in the elevator. He had long let go of her hand before entering the company to avoid unnecessary talks and gossips.

“Do what?” Ezekiel asked even though he was fully aware of what Mira was asking about.

“You didn’t have to fight him for me. He’s your brother” Mira explained further.

” I didn’t fight him. I simply couldn’t support what he was telling you to do” Ezekiel said as a matter of fact.

” I know. I just don’t want to come in between you two”

“You can’t. We’re siblings. Fights are common. He’ll come around” Ezekiel assured her and Mira nodded.

” I hope so” .
They both got out of the elevator and Mira went back to Damien office. And quickly packed everything and took it back to her table and began sorting everything again.

Damien passed and Mira was tempted to apologise to him but seeing the look on his face, it wasn’t quite friendly and Mira rather keep her l-ips shut than to invoke his wrath. Maybe Ezekiel was right,she should give him time to calm down.

Soon than later,Damien came out of the office and left.

“Where’s he going?”

He got into the car in the passenger seat without sparing a glance at the driver. Without words, he drove off.

Damien mind was so absent during the drive that he didn’t realize when he turned on the radio and his favorite song by XX tentation was playing.

“Guy, what’s wrong with you? Your so… Off today” Dylan finally asked a bit worried. Damien was never this quiet.

” It’s nothing” damien just said .

“It’s something. Definitely” Dylan said and waited hoping damien would say something but he didn’t. “Does it have to do with our current problem?” He asked and damien shook his head in negative.

” What is it then? You look so upset” he said and took a sharp turn into another street.

“It’s about Ezekiel”

“What about him?”

“There’s this girl who stays in the mansion… ”

” You mean that half Asian girl? ” Dylan interrupted.

“Wait.. you know her?” Damien asked surprised.

“Yeah. Lucas told me about her. I knew the day she entered the mansion” Dylan explained.

” Why didn’t you tell me? ”

“Should I have? Well he told me Ezekiel brought her home so…. Am sure … He knows what he’s doing”

” No he doesn’t. The girl has taken total control over him” Damien blurted.

” How do you mean? ” Now Dylan curiosity was picked on.

” He defends her no matter what.”

“Is that all ?” Dylan asked and damien nodded.

A few seconds later , Dylan burst into laughter Making Damien upset.

“Why the laughs?”

“That’s not enough reason for you to say she’s controlling him okay?!?..stop being childish guy” Dylan said heartily.

” Childish? This is something serious and your saying am behaving childish? ” Damien yelled at him.

” Chill okay. Your not childish but your reason ain’t valid” Dylan said with a shrug and focus on the road.

” What ever”

After a moment of silence… “Maybe he likes her” Dylan blurted out .

“Impossible.”

“Why?”

“Cause, he still thinks of Isabella. He loved her too much to forget her so soon” Damien said quietly but Dylan heard it well.

” So soon? It’s been five years since she passed away. Maybe he wants to move on and he chose that girl” Dylan tried to reason but Damien didn’t reply to him

” I heard she’s pretty and nice. I haven’t seen her yet though. But you have. How is she ? Her looks… And… ”

” Drive” damien said sounding deadly.

” No offense… I just wanted to know… ”

“I said drive. ” He yelled this time.

” Ok fine” Dylan said and chuckled while damien went back to his thoughts.

” Heyy.. have you seen my toothbrush… Left it here this morning” Dylan asked while checking the car. Damien heard him but ignored him

….. In the evening…

Finally done, Mira arrange it back in the office carefully this time.

As soon as she goes back to her desk ,her phone rings.

“Hello ”

“Hii” Anna replies back
“I’ve checked out the apartment Kira picked and I must say..it’s amaze” she said with a laugh making Mira to smile.

“Very convenient and spaceful. Enough for five people to live in.” Anna added.

” That’s great. Is Kira with you?”

” No. She’s still at work I guess. Anyway…I called some people to work on it and have it re-painted. Which color would you like? ” Anna asked

After some thought, ” you know what… You should choose a color. I have to specific color in mind” Mira answered back.

” Wow… Same thing Kira said . Seems like you both know am the best in color rhymes… Yay!!… ” Anna said so jovial.

‘this girl’ Mira said in her mind.

” Anyway… Everything would be ready before Saturday and we can move in.. okay?!! ”

” Sure… Can’t wait”

★★SATURDAY★★
Around 9 in the morning, after dropping Isabella at school directly and saying her goodbye to Isabella, Mira and Anna drove off to the new apartment. Kira car could be seen outside of the apartment.

“Seems like Kira beat us to here” anna exclaimed and Mira laughed.

” Seems like it” Mira said.

After parking the car, both of them goes upstairs telling the driver to wait for them to call him go bring their belongings up. They were going to live at the 3rd floor of the five storey building. Entering the building,Anna led Mira to the elevator side as taking the stairs would be too stressful.

Seems like Kira had looked for a place benefitting the rich. Getting to front door,they found Kira there. With her handbag and dressed in her lawyer uniform.

“Kira” mira exclaimed and hugged her immediately.

” Why are you outside?” Anna asked as they broke the hug

” Was waiting for you girls ofcourse. Can’t open and enter without you two. Plus, I can’t wait to see the expression on Mira face when she sees the interior” Kira explained.

” True…you haven’t seen it here. Get ready to be surprised” Anna said and imputed the password to unlock the apartment and her fingerprint.

“Wait..no key?” Mira asked surprised. She hasn’t seen an apartment like this before.

“No key.” Anna replied.

“So aren’t we both supposed to know the password and have our fingerprint there too?” Kira asked this time.

” Your fingerprint are already here. As for the password,you both know it already” Anna answered and winked. Soon locks could be heard from the door and soon everything was unlocked.

“Ready?” Anna asked Mira

“Yesss” kira and Mira yelled and Mira looked at her .

“Thought you have seen it already”

“Yes before it was beautified by Anna. I haven’t seen what Anna had done to the apartment yet” Kira said with a giggle..

” Yeah yeah” Anna said bringing back their attention. “Ready… 3. 2. 1…” And finally, slowly, she opened the iron door to reveal the apartment in,side and Kira and Mira couldn’t stop themselves from saying wowwww….

“Anna. This is amazing” Kira exclaimed.

Anna used red curtains giving the room a good red shade making everywhere look glamorous.

A red center table in the sitting room. The room was colored white. The red curtains shade was perfectly matching the white walls.

Mira immediately hurried to explore the other rooms. There were four rooms, 2 pairs opposite to the other two pairs.

In one of the room, the walls were painted pink and white. It had everything just like the Lockharts manion. A queen size bed, the dressing table and mirror, the bed size table lamps and a huge wardrobe. A red rug in the middle and BLACK PINK GIRLS poster on the wall. Mira could tell the room was for Kira, she was a fan of black pink .

Going to the next room, it wasn’t really decorated. It was kinda empty. Maybe the last unused room.

Going to the next, same thing with the first room except for the walls that were colored green and white and a touch of black . BILLY EILISH poster on the wall and NICKI MINAJ & CARDI B too.. Yep, this was Anna’s room. She was a big fan of these rap Queens.

Going to the last room, it was decorated to Mira’s taste. A picture of a guitar on the wall and her favorite artist, TATIANA MANAOIS (this author favorite artist 🥺🤲) poster on the wall.

Her room was painted golden yellow and white. It was shining. They must have used a glittering yellow. Exactly the way she loved it.

She left the room going to meet them in the kitchen and was surprised to see that the entire kitchen was stocked already. Filled to it’s brim.

“Seems like we aren’t going shopping any time soon” Mira said. And joined them. They were eating ch¡ps and dips.

Cheaters, …. They couldn’t even call her.

“Who made it?” Kira asked with her mouth full.

“Bad manners” Mira cautioned. Before putting a ch¡p in her mouth and Kira grinned showing her mouth filled ch¡ps.

“Mabel”

“Whose she?”

“Our housekeeper”

” She’s a Good cook” Kira complimented.

” I must say”…

After having everything brought up, Kira left as she was late. She told them that they would have a little drink in the evening to completely open the apartment. Afterall, they allowed with no guardian to stop them like her parents. They were FREE. Kira told them to help her arrange her stuffs Mira and Anna agreed.

After arranging their stuff,they carried Kira own to her room to arrange.

“Okay, everywhere is amazing Anna” Mira complimented.

“Thank you”

” You should be an interior designer. Why go for modeling and fashion?” Mira asked but Anna shrugged .she was about to answer when she found something in Kira’s bag. She brought it and show Mira.

“Is that what I think it is?” Mira exclaimed.

” It is” Anna confirmed and nodded and examining it, they both exclaimed.

” Don’t tell me it’s hers?”

“There’s only one way to find out. We’ll have to ask her when she’s back”

Finally, the day work was over and it’s time to head home.

Kira entered her car and was driving back to the new apartment.

She hoped that Mira and Anna didn’t find it. What was she thinking telling them to arrange her stuff when she knew that she kept it in there. She didn’t want them to find out now. Now wasn’t the right time for them to know the truth. This had been bothering her right from the day they arrived back in the States with them. Right from the airport. She should have told them but she couldn’t bring herself to do so.

Right now all She needed was to forget her worries and have fun with her girls. Thinking wasn’t helping her anyway and although, she shouldn’t be taking alcohol cause it could affect her but … Right now, she was ready to damn the consequences.

Finally arriving home, Mira and Anna helped her. They warmed her water for bath and set up everything for the night. The popcorn and snacks, the wine, the film for the night. It was going to be like a sleepover only that they would lose themselves a little tonight.

8 o’clock finally strikes and it’s time.

“Kira come on. It’s time” Mira called out since Kira was in the room.

” Am coming” she shouted back and close her mouth with her hand. She wasn’t feeling so good. She felt nauseous. The urge to vomit was strong. She had to control herself. She had already vomited 3 times.

Was she going to make it through the night?

“Hope this doesn’t expose me” Kira prayed before going out.

They poured out her own cup and settled down in front of the TV. Mira Anna sat on the floor while kira took the long couch.

The movie had started and Mira and Anna were quite focused on it but as for Kira,nope.. the feeling was back.

‘oh no’…
She couldn’t handle it again. She rushed up from the couch. Mira and Anna attention left the TV to Kira who had ran to her room. They both look at each other before following her swiftly. Luckily for them, she didn’t lock her room door. They found her in the toilet vomiting.

“Kira” Mira quickly rushed to her. Anna rushed to the kitchen and brought her a glass of water. When she was done vomiting,they handed her the water. After drinking and relaxing,Mira and Anna finally exclaimed…”YOUR PREGNANT!!”

We will be leaving Mira part for a while to find out how this happened to Kira. It may last a few chapters. It will be a flashback..a long one..
