“Congratulations, my dear.” Mum said smiling.
I smiled weakly.
“Best part…. I’m happy for you.” Hannah said and winked at me.
Mum turned to Doc Richærd and thanked him wh0leheartedly for saving me.
“Thanks so much my son. I’m grateful. I really appreciate.” Mummy said.
“It’s nothing ma. All thanks to God alone.” Doctor Richærd said.
“Thanks our doctor” Hannah said crazily.
“Welcome ma.” He replied.

Actually, doctor Richærd came minutes later, and after seeing me in that condition, he helped me to his car. And to the hospital nearby. Not where we work.
After an hour, I gave birth successfully to a baby girl. She looked exactly like me as one would think I created her myself. She didn’t look like Joel anyway. I love that.
Doc Richærd was the one that called Hannah and my mum. My dad is actually on his way too.
After some minutes, a doctor came in, checked me and the baby then nodded to himself.
“You both looks well. You’ll be discharged tomorrow morning.” He said and then I asked of the bills.
“Someone already cleared that.” The doctor said and looked at Doctor Richærd’s direction,then I knew he’s the one…
I owe this guy a lot. Hannah saw this too and winked at me in way that says “I told you” I laughed softly.
My dad and my brothers came in to congratulate me. I’m happy I had this people by my side. What would I have done without them? Especially Hannah and doctor Richærd. They’re my life saver.
When everyone are busy checking out the baby and discussing one or two things about her and i, I took a glance at doc Richærd and saw that he’s been watching me.
I wanna look away but the gaze is full of untold feelings as no one wanna look away between us. I gave a lopsided smile…he winked in return.
Hannah coughed…

With the way a lot of people came to congratulate me on my new born baby….I knew I’ve became a popular lady. A celebrity!
A lot of gifts were given to me even before the naming ceremony and after the naming was done. It’s a good memory to remember forever.
I named my daughter “Dammie”.
Everyone loves and appreciates the name as they do call her “Dammie baby”.
My mum stayed with me for months before she left. Doctor Richærd will always visit me every day after he leaves work. Even Hannah.
I didn’t feel lonely as I thought I’d be. I resumed work months later.
By now, the bond between I and doctor Richærd has grew up a lot but my stubborn heart don’t want to agree that I’m in love again.
My parents has been pestering me to marry but I’m not ready. After all, I’m doing well and earning good too. With my daughter by my side, I’m over glad. She’s everything to me.

One day, I went to shop for some things I needed at home. After leaving the hospital, doc Richærd offer to take me home as usual, so I told him to just drop me off at the ShopRite, but to take Dammie home that I won’t stay long.
After dropping me, I walked into the store and started my shopping. I was picking things faster ’cause of my baby at home.
When I’m done, I paid and left the store in search for a taxi to take me home.
I stood there waiting for one when I sighted him coming wearing a dirty and torn clothes… he’s holding some tools.
“Is he here to repair cars too?” I asked myself.
As he drew nearer, all what had happened before flushed through my head as my eyes became w-t.
“This guy…that claimed to be a doctor…lied to me… sleep with me…get me pregnant…and ran away is now here…my goodness!” I said as I ran to him, held him by his clothes and called his name.
“Joel? Isn’t this the same you? Where have you been? You left me, right? You deserve to be arrested and killed.” I said and he was dumbfounded.
He was shocked to the bone and couldn’t utter a word.
“Talk,you bitch! You son of bitch. MF! Ya so stupid. I hate you! Continue to suffer. Mad guy.” I said, spat on him and left.
I went to my bags and called a taxi and went home feeling so depressed. I’m tearing apart in,side.
