CHAPTER 85 and 86… 💚💙

“lady Ri” Mira was also shocked to see her here. But not as shock as lady Ri. She thought she was blind or crazy. How can the same person whom she thought was dead is still alive.

“Your not a ghost are you?” Lady Ri asked as she got closer to Mira. She even pinched her to confirm.

“Ouch”

“Who the heck are you?” Damien shouted pushing her away from Mira. She managed to hold herself to prevent falling down.

“How is this possible? You are supposed to be dead. I killed both you and your pathetic mother so how are you alive? “…. Lady Ri shouted. People had already gathered there.

“Wait what? My mom… Dead…??” Mira asked to be sure of what lady Ri had just said. Its not possible. Ezekiel told her her mom was still receiving treatment.

“So your not aware?” Lady Ri and laughed mockingly. ” Your pathetic mother ran crazy in the head and is a mental asylum. She ought to be dead by now. And so are you” ..

” Are you saying you have attempted murder on Mira and her mom before? ” Damien asked angrily and lady Ri looked at him scared. She had said what she was not supposed to.

She immediately went into her car… And ignited it. Damien wanted to stop her but Mira held him back.

“Please take me Ezekiel” she urged and he nodded as they both entered the car and drove off.

Lady Ri kept on Wondering how Mira was alive . They had shown her the dead body of Mira so how was this possible? She paid sazukis to finish Mira off but it seems like they didn’t do their jobs .

“I’ll have to meet them tomorrow” she said to herself.

..MEANWHILE..

Damien drove back to the Lockharts mansion since he called Ezekiel and he said he was back at home.

They both ignored the greetings of the maids who passed them and went to Ezekiel room.

Mira knocked and waited for his “come in” before entering. Damien wasn’t with her when she entered. He had received a call on their way here and was answering it .

“Mira … Your here” Ezekiel said surprised. It was Damien who called him not her.

“Where is my mom?” She asked immediately. Anger and sadness visible in her eyes.

“Your mom?” Ezekiel asked as though he hadn’t heard her well.

“Yes.” Mira replied calmly and folded her arms waiting for his reply.

“She’s… She’s.. still in the hospital”

“Why? This is what you have been telling for 4 years now. For how long? What damn sickness is it that she hasn’t recovered yet? ” Mira asked half yelling.
But Ezekiel didn’t say anything. He couldn’t bring himself to say anything.

“Which hospital is she in? I want to see her” she added but again Ezekiel was silent.

“She is in a mental asylum isn’t she?” Mira asked already hurt by his silence . This just confirmed what lady Ri said to be true.

Ezekiel nodded to her question.

“How could you lie to me? Why didn’t you tell me the whole time? I trust you Kiel” Mira shouted in anger.

Guilt filled Ezekiel seeing Mira angry at him.

” Mira” he stepped forward in attempt to touch her but she stepped back and opened the door and ran out. Damien walked in and seeing the look on his brother face, things didn’t go well.

He immediately went after mira. He had to ask the maids where she went. They directed him to the garden. He got there and found Mira standing and crying.

He slowly walked up to her and tapped her. She turned around and seeing it was him, she hugged him tight and crying. Damien stood for some seconds before stroking her hair trying to calm her down.

Ezekiel watched from his window hurt

**Morning**

Mira entered Damien car while Ezekiel stayed alone in his as they drove to the hospital where Mira mom was kept..

Damien had promised to bring her to her mom so he asked Ezekiel for the hospital. Ezekiel insisted on going with them that’s why he was there.

“Good morning doc” Ezekiel greeted the doctor in charge of taking care of Mira’s mom.

“Good morning sir ” the doctor replied and was surprised to see people with him today. He usually comes alone when visiting.

“How is she doctor?” Ezekiel asked.

“Well…I can’t tell anymore . She has been quiet in the past few days” the doctor announced and Mira heart broke.

” Can we see her?” Mira immediately spoke up. The doctor looked at her confused.

“She’s her daughter” Ezekiel explained and the doctor nodded.

” Follow me” she said and led them to where Mira mom was.

Mira mom sat on the chair and stared the floor not moving or doing anything except blinking.

“She has been in that position for a while and has refused to eat or respond to treatment” the doctor announced and Mira felt tears dropping from her eyes
. She immediately entered the room and stood at the door.

“Mom” she called out softly and Mira mom looked at her for a while looking confused.

“Mira…my…my.. daughter…is that you?” Mira mom spoke slowly Mira nodded in tears before running to her and hugging her.

***2weeks later***..

“I can’t believe he died in the end. I thought he was the male lead” Mira said munching on her popcorn as they walked back to the car.

“Me too. Am surprised” Ezekiel replied as both of them walked back to the car.
He waited for her to put on her seat belt before grabbing a handful of her popcorn.

“Hey. You stole my popcorn” Mira pouted but he only laughed.

“You look like a cat with that look” he said laughing louder.

” A cat?” Mira asked unbelievable. “How can you compare me to those ugly creatures” she added with a disgust look on her face.

“Ugly?? They are the cutest thing I’ve ever seen” he said keeping his focus on the road.

” Seems you like them”

“Yes. When I was little,I’ve always wanted one as a pet . But Anna…she was scared of them so my parents kicked against the idea of having one” he explained.

” That makes two of them. I don’t like them also” she said and he grinned.

“I’ll get one for you and you’ll love them”

“Ewwwww” both of them laughed and continued talking till they got to Mira apartment.

“I’ll just drop this and come down as soon as I can” she told him and he nodded before she carried the bags from the shopping and outing they went for today.

He has been trying to make it up to her for lying about her mom. It was easy begging for forgiveness but at last she gave forgave him. They spent their free time together in eatries and cinema to make up for it.

Mira rushed up and entered her apartment and found her mom in the sitting room with Anna and Kira doing only God knows what.

“Mom” Mira called out and all heads turned to her. She dropped the shopping bags and ran to hug her.

“Easy there my dear. Wow you are so heavy. What have you been eating?” Mira mom said with a smile and Mira grinned.

” A lot. Ezekiel keeps over feeding me” Mira said with a pout. She wasn’t lying though. Ezekiel always made sure she ate and over ate especially these past days.

“Where is he? Am missing him already” mira mom said too pouting. She had grown so find of Ezekiel especially since he was the one that helped her and Mira .

“Mom” Mira gr0aπed and they both laughed.

” Seems you bought the entire mall today” Anna said carrying the heavy bags

” Oh..those are for Isabella birthday tomorrow. Her clothes and my gift for her” Mira answered as she got up .

” I’ll be going over to their place and spending a night there” Mira announced.

” Hold on. Lemme get something quick” her mom said and quickly went to the guest room.

Mira, Kira and Anna was talking about tomorrow birthday party for her while waiting for her mom.

“I’ll give her a pink dress. She’s a fan of them or probably a Barbie doll” Anna said rummaging through mira gift.

” What about you Kira?” Mira asked.

“I haven’t thought of something nice yet. The birthday party is in the evening right? There’s still time to think of something” Kira answered.

” Here is mine” her mom finally came out and gave her a little box.

” What’s this?” Mira asked looking at it.

“Don’t open. Let her open it herself” Mira’s mom instructed and she nodded.

She bade them goodbye and left to the car.

Ezekiel while waiting for Mira brought out the little box from the his pocket. He had to make excuse to get the gift for Mira. He was finally going to make his move on her and hopefully, she won’t reject him. He opened it and gaze at the little.

“I hope it’s fits” he had to guess her size since he couldn’t tell her as it was a surprise.

He saw Mira heading towards him and he immediately hid the box.

“Let’s go” she said as soon as she got in,side the car.

“What’s that?” Ezekiel asked pointing at the box in her hand

“It’s mom gift for Isabella”

“How thoughtful of her” Ezekiel said with a smile and Mira returned it.

He ignited the car and drove off to the mansion.

Soon they got there and they both walked in,side.

Mira immediately went to Isabella’s room and found Mabel there tucking her in.

“Hello Mabel” Mira greeted and went to hug her. The person that had supported her right from the day she walked in this mansion.

“Oh Mira my dear. Your here” Mabel hugged her back and broke the hug.

“Isabella has been waiting for you for so long that she fell asleep” Mabel explained and Mira nodded smiling as she left.

She sat beside Isabella and stroke her hair.

“Tomorrow is for you Izzy 💜” Mira said and k×ssed her forehead before leaving her room to her own.

Isabella got up really early. She first went to her calendar and found the date she had circled on her calendar.

“It’s my birthday” she s¢ræmed and jumped up. ” Yaaaayyy” she kept on jumping and jubilating when Mira entered with a tray of 12 cupcakes with a candle stick on in the middle cake

“Happy birthday to my sweetest daughter ” Mira saod with smiles and Isabella giggled before running to her.

“Only daughter mommy. Am your only sweetest daughter” she said and hugged her tightly wrapping her little arms around Mira waist.

Mira laughed and dropped the tray of cupcakes and carried her in her arms .

“Yes baby. My only sweetest daughter. Happy birthday to you honey” Mira wished her again and Isabella wrapped her hand on her neck and hugged her .

“I love you Mommy. Will you celebrate all my birthdays with me?” She asked and looked into Mira’s eyes innocently.

“I’ve been here with you right from when you were born and I’ll continue to be baby” Mira said happily and Isabella laughed before k×ssing her cheeks.
Mira took a cupcake and fed it to her which she happily ate

“Thanks Mommy. I want to see daddy” Isabella immediately demanded

” Not now baby..you have school. When you get home, you will meet daddy. Okay. So let’s get you ready for school” Mira said and Isabella nodded vigorously making Mira smile.

Isabella was literally bouncing and smiling as she walked out of her room dressed in her uniform. Mira had already kept her cupcakes in her bag for lunch.

Maids and guards kept on wishing happy birthday. She was literally filled with smiles.

“Bye baby” Mira waved as Isabella got on the school bus.

“Bye mommy” she waved back and walked to her seat which had her name imprinted on.

“Is that your mommy?” Her seat partner Ivy asked.

” Yes” Isabella replied proudly.

” Wow. She’s pretty” ivy said and Isabella glared at her but nodded.

…….. EVENING……..

Mira had picked up Isabella personally from school and took her to her room dressing her for her birthday party.

By 7, guests were already arriving. That is Isabella classmates and their moms and siblings, relatives and staff’s from office who were interested in coming.

Soon, Isabella was ready and brought down starting her party.

Guests came and wished her and dropped her gifts. Ezekiel and Mira were with her the whole time.

“Time to cut your cake little Izzy” the MC announced and the cake was brought.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS ISABELLA was written on it. Ezekiel placed a tiara on her head before carrying her in his arms and Ezekiel and going to where the cake was and held the knife.

“Mommy” she whispered and turned to the direction where Mira was. She stood at a corner with other guest and Isabella and Ezekiel beckoned on her to come which she did.

Isabella placed her hand the knife and Mira placed hers too on Isabella and Ezekiel placed his on Mira.

Mira glanced at him when she felt his warm hand on hers.

“At the spell if Isabella,the cut will be cut. Are we ready?”

“Yes”

“Okay. Let’s go”

” HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELLA” everyone chorused and the cake was cut at the same time. Isabella smiled widely and k×ssed both Mira and Ezekiel cheeks.

Mira finally found Anna and Kira discussing at a corner and went to meet them.

“Girls I’ve been looking for you” Mira said and hugged them both.

” Sorry. We came late cause of Kira” Anna explained.

“Kira are you okay?” Mira asked worried and Kira nodded smiling.

“Am fine. Just these stupid pregnancy symptoms” she answered.

” I swear. If I find the guy who put you in this condition, I’ll rip apart” Anna said demonstrating and they all laughed.

Since Ezekiel was dancing with Isabella, she had time to be with her friends.

She saw Damien and someone else heading their way. It was Dylan, Damien bodyguard. Mira had met him a couple of times.

While Mira and her friends were still discussing, Damien and Dylan walked up to them.

Both Anna and Mira knew them but Kira didn’t.

“Hey Kira” Anna called out as eh held her brother hand.
” Meet my brother Damien and his bodyguard, Dylan” Anna said with smiles.

Kira nodded and looked at them before her eyes w¡dened as she looked at his bodyguard.

“Liam”

“Kira”

Both of them called out at the same time.

“Wait,do you too know each other already?” Mira asked confused and so was Damien and Anna.

” And who is Liam?” Anna asked.

Kira could feel tears filling her eyes. She couldn’t take it anymore, so she left

“Kira wait” Dylan called after her and went after her.

Mira too was about to follow them when Damien held her hand and dragged her away leaving Anna alone.

“What’s just happened?” Anna wondered. Just a few seconds, she was with her friends but now, they were all gone.

Damine took Mira to the dance floor. With his hands on her waist and hers around his neck, they moved to the slow beat of the music. Some people were already dancing along with them.

“You look so beautiful tonight” Damien complimented. He had missed her so much.

Mira blushed at his compliment. ” Thank you. You looked pretty handsome too” she complimented back . They both continued dancing until they had a switch of partners and Mira found herself in Ezekiel’s arms.

Her smile grew as he placed her waist.

“I have a surprise for you. Will you come with me?” He whispered and Mira nodded.

He smiled and took her hand and led her out of the hall.

Damien wasn’t focused on his partner. His eyes followed Ezekiel and Mira as they left together and he immediately followed them too.

Ezekiel led her to the garden placing his hands on her eyes.
Then moment he got to the destination, he removed his hands.

Mira looked at the view in front of her. Flowers were sprinkled on the floor. Light were suddenly lit up and it formed….
I LOVE YOU MIRA

Mira’s eyes w¡dened seeing it. She was surprised and emotional.

“Ezekiel what is…..” She turned around to ask him about it but then she found him on his knees holding a ring towards her.

“I love you mira…will you marry me?”
Mira froze instantly
