Eva became so worried as she continued to search for Fred,
“Where could he has gone to? He told me he gonna be here waiting for me,now where is he?
She thought with a worried face.

She keep on searching looking around everywhere to see if she will see any sign of him but find nothing.

“What will I do now? Where will I look for him? What if something bad has happened to him?
She thought.

She saw someone that looks exactly like Boboy even with his body shape buying some snacks.

“That’s Boboy there! Thank God I have found him!
she shouted happily and ran to meet him.

“How could you do this to me Boboy? How could you scared me like this? I was sick and worried about you”
He shouted and touched him.

The person turned and shouted at her harshly,
“Yes what is it?

“Am sorry! But you shouldn’t be mean Kid!
She shouted and sighed.

“What will I do now? Few minutes I was happy that I have found him not knowing it was not him,Where did you go to Boboy?
She said feeling so sad.

“Boboy you know I don’t like prank so if you are pranking on me better come out the game is over”
She said wearing a worried face.

As she was walking up and down without knowing where to find him,she came across a ladies that were discussing about a kid that had an accident a while ago,she stood aside pretending to be waiting for a cab to listen to their conversation.

“The accident was terrible, I hope the boy will survive it”
The first lady said.

“I don’t think If he will survive it,Did you see how he was lying down lifelessness and he was not breathing anymore”
The second lady said.

“Could it be Boboy they are actually talking about?
Eva thought.

“What could be after him to made him ran into a car?
The first asked.

“Huh! I heard he was chasing by the security men because he was caught stealing snacks”
The second lady said.

The second lady sighed and said,
“Now look at how his life was cut short all because of stealing”

At this point Eva realised it was Boboy they were talking about,
“Oh No Boboy! Why did you have to die? Why?
She cried and cried for the death of her friend.

Later in the day,she went to an empty shop crying so bitterly,
“All my friends has now left me,I got nobody no family only me in this world,first it was Fred and now is Boboy,God why did you allowed the accident to happened to him? Why did you snatched him away from me knowing fully well he is the only one I got? Why God?
She cried out.

“Where will I go now? Who will I turn to? I got nobody,no family, the people I called my family are gone,where will I go from here?
She cried out bitterly.

A woman at the age of fifty years or there about saw the way she was crying and felt for her.

“What is it Kid? Why are you crying? Where is your parents?
She asked being so concerned about her.

“I got no parents”
She said in tears.

“What did you mean you got no parents?
She asked confusingly.

“My parents are late”
She cried out.

“So sorry kid but what are you doing here? What of your family relatives?
She asked feeling more concerned about her.

“No parents! No family relatives! only me in this world”
She cried out.

She felt her pain and asked,
“Why are you all alone? What happen to your family?

“Is a long story Ma!
She replied still crying.

“You know what follow me and let’s talk about what happen to you”
She said to her.

“Huh! I should follow you Ma?
She asked being so scared.

“You don’t have to be scared kid,Am a human being like you I don’t bite okay”
She said to her with smiles.

“Am scared now,how can I follow a totally strange i don’t know? What if she harm me?
She thought being scared.

“Am sorry Ma,I can’t follow you”
She said in tears.

“C’mon Kid! Stop being scared okay, Am harmless with a soft heart and also a human being like you,this road is not good for a kid like you,it’s so dangerous”
She said and straighten out her hand.

“Let’s go! I don’t bite okay”
She said with smiles.

Eva kept quite and stared at her for some minutes before accepting to go with her.

She held her and said,
“Stop crying kid,it will be fine okay”

They walked down to her house,they went in,side a small bungalow,
“Have a sit,you look so tired and hungry, let me go and fix you something to eat okay”
She said.

“What if her plan is to drug me and use me for child trafficking? Am dying of hunger but I have to resist it I still want to be alive”
She thought negatively.

“No Ma! Am not hungry!
I said.

“I know you will be thinking that i want to drug you and use you for any evil thing but am not gonna do such thing to my follow human being talk more of a kid”
She said.

“How did she know what’s on my mind? Could it be she read people’s mind?
She thought.

“Am gonna get you something to eat and stop thinking negatively about me because am a good person”
She said and went to the kitchen to fix her something to eat.

Some minutes later,She came out with the food,
“Come to the dinning and eat okay”
She said to her with smiles.

She stood up and went to the dinning table,she stared at the food pasta with pozole de polo Guajolote(turkey stew).

“C’mon eat your food,you will like it,it’s very tasty and delicious or are you thinking that I meant poison it or what? I can see that’s what is in your mind,okay let me prove it to you that I didn’t do such thing”
She said and took a spoonful of the food and ate.

“You see,I didn’t poison the food so eat so that you can have the strength to talk to me about yourself”
She said to her with smiles.

Eva started eating since she has proven to her that the food is okay.

“Did you like the food?
She asked always smiling.

“Yes Ma! It’s delicious”
She replied with smiles.

Few minutes later,she was done with the food and thanked her for it.

“So kid what did you say that happened to your parents?
She broken the silent with a question.

She narrated the journey of her life to her with tears without missing anything.

“I got nobody! No family! Fred and Boboy they are the only family I have and now they have left me”
She sounded in tears.

She shooked her head and felt so bad for her,
“What a painful kid? It’s well my child stop crying okay”
She said and wiped her tears out.

“The only thing I have that can help me to locate my real mother is this necklace”
She said and showed her the necklace.

She read what was written on the pendant,
“My Eva! Is your name Eva?
She asked.

“Yes Ma!
She replied.

“That name reminded me about my daughter Eva”
She sounded.

“Wow! She is my name sake,I hope she will be happy to see me?
She asked with smiles.

“She can’t see you”
She said.

“Why Ma? Is she studying in school?
She asked being anxious to know about the daughter.

“She is no more,she died when she was a year,her death was so painful to me,she is suppose to be the same age with you”
She said in tears remembering how she lost her precious daughter.

“Oh my God! Am so sorry Ma! What of your husband?
She said feeling so sad for her.

“He threw me out of the house and out of his life a year after Eva’s death and brought in his mistress”
She said.

“I can really imagine what you went through Ma”
She sounded.

“It’s well child,I know there’s something so special about you that’s why i felt this strong bound around me like I have known you before,you know what Eva my own Eva is back to me”
She said with so much smiles written all over her face.

Eva looked at her with so much confusion and asked,
“Your Eva back! What did you mean Ma?

“My Eva is here,She is right here with me”
She said with smiles.

Eva looked around and she didn’t see anybody,
“What’s is she talking about? Is this woman mentally alright?
She thought.

“Ma you are confusing me here,I don’t understand anything you are saying”
She said being so confused.

“Eva you are my daughter that is back to me,I want to take and care for you like my own daughter if only you will accept to me as your mother”
She said with smiles.

Eva looked at her very strange,
“How can a woman I met few hours ago asked me to be her daughter? I know I don’t have anybody to call my family nor even care for me but she seems so suspicious to me or could it be that she said I reminded of her daughter and even bear the same name with me that’s why she want me to be her daughter”
She thought being so confused and don’t know what to do whether to accept or not.

She thought about it over again and decided to be her daughter since she got no one in this world and someone has offered to be her mother,if she turned it down who knows what will be the outcome of her life.

“Okay Ma,I will be so happy to be call your daughter and I promise you that you won’t regret having me as your daughter”
She said with smiles.

Mrs Loita that’s her name hugged her so tight with so much joy,the happiness she felt in,side of her is beyond human imaginations,she felt so happy that her daughter she once lost is back to her.

“No more Ma okay,from now on it will be Mom”
She said to her with smiles.

Eva smiled and replied back to her,
“Okay Mom!

She hugged her again and pecked her on the cheek.

“Let me show you,your room”
She said and took her to room.

Eva lay down on the bed so peacefully knowing that she has gotten a mother but she later became so sad when she remembered her friends,she thought about Fred how he is doing, if he thinks about her like the way she doses and hopes to see him one day,she felt so bad about Boboy’ s accident and hope he is still alive and wish to meet him one day too.

TWELVE YEARS LATER
Twelve years later,Eva is now a grown up lady looking so beautiful,stunningly beautiful within those past years she had not heard anything about Fred nor even stop thinking about him and hoping and believing to see him one day,she still wears that bangle he gave her at the Orphange which gives her the strength of hope to see him one faithfully day.

Mrs Loilta Eva’s mother was in the sitting room stitching her dress and a knock came from outside,
“Who is there come in,side!
She shouted to the person’ s hearing.

Sophia Eva’s best friend,they came friends when they were small attended the same high school.

“Good evening Mrs Loilta!
She greeted her with a hug.

“What of your mother?
She asked with smiles.

“She is fine,Is Eva at home?

“Yes,she is at the kitchen preparing dinner”
She said and Sophia went to the kitchen immediately.

“My own chef,what are you cooking?
She asked with smiles.

“Am preparing Chilaquiles”
She said with smiles and turned the food.

“Hmmmmh! It’s smells so good,so yummy,you know what Eva I have gotten a job for you to showcase this you talent of cooking and for people to know the skills you have with cooking”
She said with smiles.

Eva jumped feeling so excited and asked,
“Where did you find the job for me?

“At the restaurant am working”
She said with smiles.

“Are you serious? What about the cook?
She asked and turned the food.

“She got fired yesterday then I thought of you being the best chef to replace her”
She with smiles.

“Thank you so much darling, Am so grateful for this”
She said and hugged her.

“What are friends for? You are my bestie and a sister to me,you have interview tomorrwo morning and I want you to dress so well to impressive the manager”
She said.

“I will be well prepared I must get the job I assure you that”
She said with so much confidence.

She laughed and said,
“I trust you Eva,you know am not going without eating this your food”

She laughed and said,
“See you! I know you won’t,get the plates let me dish it out”

She brought out the plates as she dished out the food, she served it and ate with them before going home.

In the morning,Eva waked up prepared for her job interview.

“How did i look Mother?
She came out from her room and asked her mother who is at the sitting room.

“You look perfectly good like a great chef you will be”
She said with smiles.

“Thank you Mom but am feeling so nervous Mom since is my first time of going to any interview”
She sounded.

She stood up and held her hand,
“You don’t have to feel so nervous okay,be so polite with the way you will answer the questions they will ask you and don’t allow nervous to take over you okay”

“Okay Mom”

“Go and show them with magic hand you have when it comes to cooking,you will get the job okay”
She said.

“Thank you Mom”
She said and hugged her.

The mother pecked her on the forehead before she leave the house.

When she got to the restaurant, Sophia saw her and came to see her,
“You look good bestie,go and impressive the manager with your skills and get the job”
She said to her with smiles.

“Are you sure I will get the job?
She asked having a second doubt about the job.

“What are you saying? the job is already yours,I don’t want you to go there this negative energy,stop being nervous Eva,I wish you good luck okay”
She said and hugged her.

“Thank you!

“Go and meet the receptionist she will direct you where to go and meet the rest of you that came for the interview”
She said and went back to get people’s order.

Eva went to the receptionist and she directed her where she will go,she got there and met six people that came for the interview both male and female.

Few minutes later,they were called in for their interview.

“You all have to prepare a popular dish Machaca and the best cook will be employ”
The manager said.

“Yes Sir!
They choursed together.

The equipment and the ingredients they need for the cooking is already there.

“You have thirty minutes to prepare the food and your time start now”
The manager said to them,They rushed and started their cooking.

Meanwhile,Fred and his friend Anne came back from the college at Los Angeles,
“Welcome home son!
His parents said and gave him a warmly hug.

“Thank you Dad! Thank you Mom!
He said them with smiles.

“Good afternoon Sir! Good Afternoon Ma!
Anne greeted them with smiles and hugged them.

“Mom! Dad! Did you remember her?
He asked smiling.

“Off course Anne! How could I forget Anne? Your friendsh¡p with her started when you guys were small and now she looks so beautiful I mean extremely beautiful”
She said.

Anne smiled and said,
“Thank you so much Ma!

They moved to the dinning table for lunch and discussed some things concerning the college,After lunch Fred dropped Anne at their place.

Back to the restaurant, thirty minutes they finished with the food and dished it out for the manager to taste.

He taste the first dish prepared by male,
“This is horrible! Over salty and tasteless ! Is this what you will be cooking in my restaurant? unacceptable”
He shouted and disqualified him.

The second one came up being female,he tasted the food,
“Rubbish! Did you want to kill people with pepper!
He shouted and disqualified her.

He keep on finding faults on the food and disqualifying them one after the other until it got Eva and a guy.

“I hope this your food will not taste rubbish like the rest?
He asked and tasted the food.

“What nonsense! You guys can’t prepare a simple dish and you want to be a cook in my restaurant?
He shouted and disqualified him too.

He stared at Eva and said,
“This your food should be good or you will be disqualified like other”

Eva’s heart started breathing fast and praying for him to like the food.

He took the spoonful of the food and shooked his head with smiles,
“Wow! Wow! So yummy! You have the job,you will be starting work tomorrwo”
He shouted and continued eating the food.

“Thank you Sir!
Eva said excitedly.

She went out and shared the good news to Sophia, the next day she started work.

It has been a week she started working on that restaurant and within that week the restaurant became the topic of the city people started coming and coming and the restaurant started growing day by day.

Anne heard about the restaurant and brought Fred for lunch,Fred ordered Burritos while Anne ordered Chilaquiles.

Fred took a spoonful of the food and became shocked about the taste,
“This Burritos taste like Eva’s Burritos”
He thought.
