chapter 28- ‘BE a good wife jan’
Lucas furrowed His brow at what she just said
“ummm…I mean…” she stammered
Lucas kept staring into her eyes as she gulped heavily
“I think you should sleep” she whispered lowly
Lucas gave a side smile and placed one last gentle k!sson her forehead as he pu-ll-ed back for her to get up
“thanks!” she said still not knowing what to say after what just happened
“I…I think I should go now” she said with a fake smile
“uh…oh..yeah yeah” he replied
“guess you’ll still have to explain this” she said and went out of his room
“yeah maybe” Lucas replied as she left and sat on his be-d taking a de-ep breath in
“Emmy…” he whispers lowly then realized the wounds were healed
Just as Emmy went into her room, she gr@bb£d her cloth at the che-st ti-ghtly…
“what just happened!!” she g@sped P@nting heavily
The memories on his hands moving all over her flashed back to her memories and it was like her heart skipped a beat and her cheeks were burning h0t. She immediately ran to her mirror and saw her face….. it was damn red
“oh….no!” she cried
“baby…now that we have….” karissa trailed of as she saw Emmy’s cheeks
“geez…tomatoes” she said
“that red?” she asked
“what made you blush?” she asked suspiciously as Emmy bit her lowerl-ips

The wh0le members were gathered at the living room. Lucas made his way down stairs as they all had eyes on him.
The wound was alre-ady healed and Emmy could notice. She immediately took her eyes off his as they had eye contact… Zane cleared his throat in jealousy as karissa chuckles.
“good morning everyone” Alpha korey said as Lucas sat
“Good morning” they replied in unison
“you all have been told alre-ady about our new member… Lucas?” he asked
“yeah…I’m Lucas Lytton” he replied as Zane rolled his eyes
“its nice to have you here…..actually, I don’t think I have anything much to say, you are now p@rt of us…I’m sure the moon goddess alre-ady told you why you are here” korey said as Lucas nodded
“I guess you were the guy talking to me the other day” korey said remembering when Lucas met him
“exactly” Lucas smiled
“and by the way…what type of werecreature are you?” Emilia asked as Zane turned his attention
“yeah…that’s true, let’s know what you’re like” Zane said as Lucas smiled as Korey sipped from his coffee……
“mmmmm” karissa nodded
“the only survivor from my clan…..a Werejaguar” he replied as korey spilled his coffee out if his mouth
“werejaguar???” he asked
“what!!” Zane asked
“they really existed??” Sid asked
they were all surprised…. Zane laughed
“Indeed…joke…we are not joking here” Zane said with a duh face
“he is” Emmy said
“wow….” korey mouthed
“what is that??” Jan asked as Sid stood up to explain
“werejaguars were known to be in existence about 200 years ago, but you know…they were hunted down, some were discovered 38years ago…I guess you and your clan were among” Sid said
“obviously” Lucas replied
“their superpowers are also superb, they have superstrength just like the alpha werewolf” Sid said as Korey gave a slight laugh
“oh really” he laughed
“yeah…superspeed, shapeshifting , eye color, fangs and claws.” he stated as they all gave a listening ear
“regenerative healing…. great strength during full moon and need to learn control. Yeah…they perform magic like returning a person to a younger age”
“I doubt if he does” Zane said
“use you as a try?” Lucas sm-irked
“dare not” Zane replied
“actually they are more like the werewolves” Sid said
“wow!!!!” korey said in unison with jan
“they are really one of a kind…they can transform into feline or an anthropomorphic creature, gaining other features of a feline such as domestic cat, tiger, lion, leopard, lynx and so on….well, I guess we’d see you in one of those” Sid smiled
“I guess we still have a lot to see from you” Randolph smiled
“I’m Randolph.. a beta” he said politely as Lucas smiled
“I’m Emilia… a beta, actually Emmy’s twin sis but her younger sister” she smiled
“I noticed” he replied
“I’m Sid, our Alpha’s best man and actually a beta werewolf” he said
“and I’m karissa… one and only coyote in twilight pack” she smiked
“wow..” Lucas said
“nice to meet you all” he said
“my won’t you introduce yourself…?” Sid asked
“he alre-ady knows her” karissa smiled
“I see” jan said
“and she….is our one and only Luna” Emmy said referring to Jan
“I can say that” jam laughed
“I guess well see later in the night…I’m off for work” korey smiled as he stood up
“what do you do?” Randolph asked
“emmy knows” he replied
“and I’m not saying it” she smiled
SKIP SKIP SKIP
korey was in his room with jan about to leave
“what do you want for dinner?” she asked
He remained mute and made his way to the door but st©pped
“don’t bother…cos I won’t eat your food” he said and left.
Jan bit her lowerl-ips trying to st©p herself from crying but she couldn’t… korey left the room as she fell to her knees crying.
Korey was about to make use of the elevator to get downstairs then remembered he forgot his wrist watch
“$h!t!” he cussed and turned back going to his room. He st©pped as soon as he heard Jan sobs.
“when would you ever un-derstand what you’re doing to me” she cried
“not like I’ve never done my best to plea-se you” she added
He felt his heat hurt….he turned back to leave, leaving his wrist watch and went into the elevator.
As soon as he got downstairs.. he wore a frown
“here comes grumpy brother” Emilia said
“and again…couples” she added
“if he ever changes I’m gonna give testimony”karissa said
🏢 AT THE COMPANY🏢
secretary Kim placed wrong files on korey’s table, korey was going throu-gh it and found out it was wrong. With anger he called her in the telephone yelling at her
“what the fv¢k did you drop on my table!!”
“the file you asked for” she shakily replied
“you idiot…I asked for something else!!” he yelled
Kim ran to his office knowing what korey is capable of, she might lose her job
“looks like you don’t know how to do your job well” he said
“it was only a mistake Sir, am sorry” she pleaded
“you’re fired” he stated
“what…plea-se don’t do this” she cried
“plea-se!!” she begged in her knees
“don’t lemme call them to throw you out” he said
“embarr@ssment” she asked
“get out of my office!!!” he yelled as she scrambled away

Everyone went to be-d except Jan, she remained in the kitchen preparing dinner for her husband though he said he wasn’t gonna eat. Korey drove into the mansion as the guard bowed in greetings.. as usual he ignored them and went into the sitting room but found no one.
Few lights were turned on but the kitchen lights were still on, he wondered who was in this time of the night then un-bu-ttoned his suit, slowly dropped his suitcase then went into the kitchen silently that jan couldn’t notice.
Jan was slicing carrots but still sleep was knocking on the door. Korey could see her head fall and rise then smiled as he walked quietly behind her still she couldn’t notice.
“c’mon jan be a good wife” she said to herself but then got cut by the knife
“ow!” she winced in pain as she let the knife fall.
She was about to move her right hand to her left but froze at korey’s t©uçh. He held her hand st©pping her.
She slowly turned around standing in front of her husband but couldn’t look at him in his eye.
“you’re bleeding” he said lowly as he took her wounded f!nger in his hands
“I’m so sorry…I know you said I shouldn’t bother…I just” she trailed of
“wanted to be a good wife” korey completed her s£ntence as he took her f!nger closer to his mouth
“st©p…st©p st©p” jan said and pu-ll-ed her hand back
“why?” korey asked
“are you now a vampire?” she asked sarcastically and tuned to leave but felt her feet swept off the floor.
Korey carried her in a bridal style heading to his room and sat her on the be-d.
Jam was totally shocked, speechless, surprised
“I’ll get the ointment” he said and went to her dressing table and found it then applied it on her wounded f!nger
“you’re really stubborn.. I thought I warned you” he said
she found herself smiling
but again he tucked her in be-d which was more surprising. Thus was the first time he’d talk her in be-d
“what about your dinner?” she asked as he took of his cloth
“I’ll just eat something else, you should sleep, you’ve done a lot today so rest” he said as he superspeed out of the kitchen and placed the carrots in the fridge then poured potatoes ch!ps into a bowl and took a pack of yoghurt out of the fridge and superspeeded back to his room.
Emilia could feel it then smiled
“grumpy bro is back” she said
Korey was back in his room but jan was alre-ady fast asleep.
he placed his snacks on the table and sat beside her staring at her red softl-ips, neat shaped brows and full eyelashes
“pretty!” he smiled. He wanted to car-ss her, hold her and tell her he was sorry for his action this morning bit stupidly enough he doesn’t know how to.
After his bath, he laid comfortably on the be-d beside his Jan❤♥♥❤
