“Explain this scene!’ Ellen demanded.

Cindy was looking at the floor unable to say a word.

“Cindy! Tell me this is not real. Tell me this is some kind of drama or imagination.” Ellen said again.

But Cindy couldn’t say anything. All she does is look at the floor…she was unable to take her snack anymore as it fell from her hand.

“Cindy…” Ellen called calming down now.

She drew her closer and hugged her.

“Sorry for shouting at you…I was just being shocked. Can you please tell me what this is all about?” Ellen asked.

But instead of Cindy to talk, she bursted into tears.

The tears she’s been keeping came out fresh.

Ellen patted her back without a word. She allowed her to cry out her eyes for her to be okay.

“Babe, get me something to eat.” Emmanuel said to Jenny who was seated on his bed pressing her phone.

“Jenny?” He called again but got no response

Obviously, she’s lost in the phone she’s pressing.

He walked to her and snatched away the phone from her.

“What the hell is that?” She asked.

Yeah, she no longer work as his PA. He doesn’t even have any PA again.

“Get us something to eat since you’re here now.* He repeated.

“Pardon?” She asked.

“You heard me.” He said while she laughed.

“What happened? Did I told you I’m acting a comedy here?” He asked.

“What happened to all the restaurant in this country?’ She asked.

“Or better still, your pregnant V-rgin wife downstairs.” She added.

“Stop right there. I don’t joke with my wife. My wife isn’t here, is she? you don’t talk about my wife just anyhow.” Emmanuel said.

“Really? I can’t talk about your wife anyhow, right? Then why are you with me here ? When you know you still feel something for your so called wife.” Jenny said eying him.

Emmanuel was quiet as he knew not what to say.
He threw her phone to her before leaving the room going downstairs.

He met Cindy in Ellen’s arm when he got to the living room.
he cleared his throat to make his presence known.

Ellen and Cindy disengaged from the hug and looked at his direction.

“What’s for dinner?” He asked.

“Just got back from work and I’m too weak to do a thing.” Cindy said wiping her tears.

“Meaning ?” He asked.

“There’s no dinner tonight.” she said.

“Really? Is there no food in this house?” He asked.

“Emmanuel there is food, okay? Don’t stress me. Please yourself!” Cindy said almost raising her voice if not for Ellen that squeezed her hand softly.

“You know what? I don’t care either you’re tired or not, just get me something good to eat in the next fifteen minutes or there’d be problem.” He said as he turned to leave.

“Stop right there, Emmanuel.” Cindy said and he stopped in his track.

“I can’t lift a finger. You can always tell Jenny to get you what to Eat. Ellen…take me out of this building before I suffocate.” Cindy said.

“Cindy calm down. He’s your husband.” Ellen said almost in a whisper.

“I don’t wanna explain any f-cking thing to you, that’s why I made you witness the real drama. So, get your car key and get me out of this suffocating building. I wanna breath!” Cindy shouted at her.

“Okay.” Ellen said slowly and helped her stood on her feet before helping her out of the house with Emmanuel watching in total shock.

“When did Cindy become like this? Where did she learnt that from?” He questioned himself as he heard them drove out.

“Jenny! Jenny!” He called going upstairs again.

Samuel, after taking his bath and changed into another cloth decided to go out and have some fun to clear his head especially from Alice’s scene earlier.

“Heritage…. I’ll be back soon. Don’t sleep off.” With that he drove out of the compound

“Alice please for goodness sake open the door and talk to me. I am deeply sorry. I can explain.” George pleaded continuously.

He had chased Dammie away after Alice caught her in his bed and has been begging Alice ever since then but sue refused to let out a sound.

“Alice. Please forgive me. I am sorry for real.’ He pleaded again.

Alice on the other hand has slept off not giving it a thought. She had no idea he is begging her ’cause she forced herself to sleep after the humiliation she gave herself at Samuel’s place.

“I’m driving us to a club. Get ready to dance, flex and do all crazy stuffs tonight.” Ellen said as she drove nonstop.

Cindy just smiled as she whined down the glass at her side and allowed the air to blew on her.

She smiled at the beautiful sight of the city at night.

“You ain’t saying anything.” Ellen said as she pulled up in front of the club.

They both entered and order for drinks. Cindy asked for an alcoholic drink.

“Cindy…no you can’t drink in this condition. I don’t know anything about health but , do you wanna hurt the baby?” she asked shouting ’cause the music was so loud that they hærdly hear each other.

“Won’t that be better if it’d make Emmanuel love me like he ought to. This baby is the barrier between us.” Cindy shouted back.

“No Cindy. Your husband is just doing his own. You can’t take any alcoholic drinks when I’m right here.” Ellen said.

“You lie. I’m taking it and there’s nothing you gonna do about it.” Cindy said and told the bartender to get it for her.

Ellen was about to object when her phone rang. It was Fred calling…

“Babe…you gotta excuse me. I wanna pick this call outside. I’ll be back soon.” Ellen said and stepped outside…

The bartender returned with the ordered drinks and Cindy wasted no time in consuming the drink she asked for.

Being light headed, she’s acting drunkenly already after taking just four shot.

Getting to the half of the bottle, she’s feeling the need to pee. She stood up and staggered to the restroom after asking the way there from a nearby bartender.

After she’s done with her business in the restroom, she staggered out smiling sheepishly and collided with someone who happened to came to pee in the restroom as well.

Ellen call ended after getting an invisible k-ss from Fred.

“Gosh…Cindy!’ She said as she rushed in.

She was more taken aback when she couldn’t find her in,side. She checked the drink she took and her jaw opened.

“This drink is 100% alcoholic. Cindy is so stubborn!” She muttered as she dropped it and walked out to check the car.

“Cindy?’ She kept calling as she walked to where she parked her car but got no response from anyone.

“Cindy?’ She kept calling looking and walking around for any sign of her.

“Cindy?’ She heard a familiar voice called Cindy behind her.

She looked back slowly and smiled.

“Samuel…why are you here?’ She asked.

“What happened to Cindy?’ He asked avoiding her question.

“I don’t know where she is. I came out here to answer a call and I didn’t find her on seat again when I get in,side.” Ellen explained.

“Did she took any drink?’ He asked.

‘Yes. Alcoholic one.” She answered slowly.

“What? And you know she’s lightheaded. you shouldn’t have allow her.” He said.

“I have no idea when she’s taking it. I was outside here then.” Ellen replied.

“Have you checked the restroom?’ He asked.

“No.” She said and led the way in while Samuel followed forgetting why he’s here totally.

They got to the restroom and started to check every restroom but couldn’t find Cindy.

“Cindy..?’ Ellen was almost crying.

Samuel breathed in as he kicked the last restroom opened with her leg.

He saw a figure trying to get his way to another figure which look like Cindy.

Without thinking twice he pulled him away and rewarded him with two blow on his mouth.

“What the hell are you trying to do to her?” Samuel questioned holding Cindy who was totally drunk.

“Huh? Cindy.” Ellen called coming in,side.

She looked around and saw him.

“Philip…?” She called.

“it’s not what you think.” Philip said.

“I can get you arrested. Are you tryna rape her?’ Samuel asked.

“What?” Ellen shouted

“No. Not at all. I can explain.” Philip said.

“Shut up. Next Time you do this…you’ll be in soup. Hot one. Bastard!” He said and they both took Cindy out of the restroom to Ellen’s car.

“we will talk tomorrow. Drive safely.’ Samuel said as he stayed to watch them leave first.

“Goodnight.” Ellen said getting into the car.

She ignited the car but it refused to start.
She did it all over again but it is still the same.

“Is everything okay?” Samuel asked.

“No. The car isn’t starting.” ellen answered.

Samuel walked to it and tried it out but all to no avail.

“It’s really getting late. We can’t get a mechanic tonight again. Let’s use my car. You’ll drop me home and then Cindy. Is that okay by you?” Ellen asked.

“Sure.” He answers and he carried Cindy to his car.

“Sorry for any inconveniences.” Ellen apologized on their drive to her house.

“It’s fine.’ He said taking a glance at Cindy who was seated beside him.

“Why did you guys came to club?’ He asked…

“Hmm…nothing. Just to have some fun.” Ellen answered.

Samuel said nothing. He decided to ask Cindy herself the next day.

“Thank you.’ Ellen said when he got to her house.

“You’re welcome.” He said and drove away.

Cindy stirred up and opened her eyes.

She smiled and muttered some word that left Samuel wondering.

“I hate you Emmanuel…”

She slept off again after saying that.
