“Do I look like a ghost to you?” Me Maxwell asked and glare playfully at them. “How did you know we are coming if you aren’t a ghost?” Emma asked with a frown.

“You sold yourself, I overheard your voice, then I was thinking of surprising you guys” Mr Maxwell said.

“You shouldn’t have surprised us, your spoilt our surprised” Emma replied. “Anyway, Mr Maxwell how are you doing my love?” Brittany asked and moved closer to Mr Maxwell on the bed and sat on his lap. “Hey are you trying to s-duce my dad?” Emma asked. “He’s also my Dad, so Mr Maxwell did you missed us?” Brittany asked.

“How will I missed bag of trouble like you guys?” Mr Maxwell replied. “Ouch, that suppose to hurt but it didn’t because it’s mutual” Emma replied with a smirk.

“Why did you come back if you didn’t miss us?” Mr Maxwell asked. “Because I feel like doing, anyway how’s your wife?” Emma asked and also sat on Mr Maxwell lap. “Hey are you guys trying to break my leg?” Mr Maxwell asked with a frown.

“You should be happy we are sitting on your lap” Emma replied with a frown. “Girls let’s go surprise my honey, but I’ll soon punish you both for running away and you for lieing to me” Mr Maxwell said and point his finger at Brittany. “Okay let’s go, I can’t wait to see mum” Emma said.

Mrs Maxwell sat on the sitting room watching her favourite show. Emma tiptoed to her back and covered her face with her palm. “Emma!” Mrs Maxwell shouted happily. “It’s not Emma” Mr Maxwell replied.

“It’s Emma, my daughter is back I can’t believe this” Mrs Maxwell said happily. Emma Removed her hand from Mrs Maxwell face and hug her from the back. “My daughter is back” Mrs Maxwell said happily. “Did you missed me?” Emma asked.

“Sure I do, why did you leave me?” Mrs Maxwell asked with a frown. “Because you’re frustrating my life” Emma replied.

“I’m not frustrating you” Mrs Maxwell replied. “Brittany” Mrs Maxwell shout immediately she sight Brittany. “Good evening Mrs Maxwell” Brittany said with a smile and Mrs Maxwell hug her happily.

“I missed you guys, know one to play with” Mrs Maxwell replied. “You caused it Mum” Brittany replied and Mrs Maxwell frown her face. Emma phone ring out loud and she smiled out before clicking on the answer button.

“Hey babe” Emma said with a smile. And Mrs Maxwell rushed to her side. “How are you baby?” Rowen ask. “I’m fine, hope you’ve gotten to the house?” Emma asked. “No darling, we will soon, I can’t wait to hang out with you” Rowen replied.

“That will be tomorrow, my regards to your parents” Emma said and Mrs Maxwell snatched the phone from Emma.

“Hello are you my daughter boyfriend?” Mrs Maxwell asked with a smile. “Mum give me back my phone” Emma yelled. “Calm down I’m just trying to talk to the man behind your smile” Mrs Maxwell said and ran away with the phone and Emma ran after her.

She ran to her room and lock the door from behind. “Hello handsome” Mrs Maxwell said with a smile. “Are you trying to s-duce my boyfriend with your voice?” Emma yelled knocking on the door.

“Good evening Mrs” Rowen replied from the other end. “Hope you’re good?” Mrs Maxwell asked.

“I’m good ma” Rowen replied. “Thank you for taming my daughter icy heart” Mrs Emma said. “It’s the other way round ma” Rowen replied. “I’m glad she has finally found someone that loves her, I can’t wait to meet you” Mrs Maxwell said.

“Sure I can come see you soon” Rowen replied. “Can’t you just come tomorrow, I wanna see the man behind my lovely daughter heart” Mrs Maxwell replied. “We are just coming back from Paris today ma, I don’t think I can come tomorrow” Rowen replied. “Alright it’s fine, you can come anytime you’re free” Mrs Maxwell replied. “Alright ma, please can kindly help me give the phone back to my baby” Rowen said.

“point of correction Emma is my baby not yours, she’s only your girlfriend” Mrs Maxwell said and Rowen burst into laughter. “You’re very funny ma” Rowen replied.

“Hold on, I’ll give the phone to her now” Mrs Maxwell said and walked to the door. She opened the door and left out a mischievous smile. “Here’s your phone Miss Maxwell” Mrs Maxwell said. “You’re a big problem” Emma said with a frown. “It’s time to face Brittany” Mrs Maxwell said and left out a smirk.

“Brittany did you also come back with your boyfriend?” Mrs Maxwell asked. “No I don’t have one ma” Brittany replied.

“What are you waiting for? I wanna celebrate you guys wedding at the same day” Mrs Maxwell said. “I haven’t find my Mr right” Brittany replied.

“Don’t worry I’ll find him for you” Mrs Maxwell replied. “Brittany that reminds me, I found something about you, we need to discuss come to my study with me” Mr Maxwell said. “What did you find dad?” Emma asked. “You aren’t Brittany or are you?” Mr Maxwell asked.

“Savage!” Brittany replied and left out her tongue out at her. “I hàtè you dad!” Emma said. “I’m glad to tell you that the feeling is mutual Miss Maxwell” Mr Maxwell replied and drag Brittany to his study. “Mrs Maxwell what did you husband find?” Emma asked. “Where’s your phone?” Mrs Maxwell asked. “Here mum!” Emma replied showing Mrs Maxwell her phone.

“Did you’ve google on it?” Mrs Maxwell asked and Emma nod her head. “you can try searching what you need to know there” Mrs Maxwell said. “I hàtè you and your husband” Emma said. “As my love said before, the feeling is mutual so we are good to good” Mrs Maxwell replied.

The driver drove the car in,side the compound and Rowen come down from the car.

The security rushed to hug Rowen happily and Sophia look around in awe.

“Welcome sir, I missed you” The security guy said hugging Rowen tight to hiself. “Jack I can’t breathe” Rowen said patting his head with a smile on his face.

“Welcome back, we are very happy to have you back” Jack said happily. “I’ve suddenly become invisible” Austin said with a frown.

“Just say you’re jèàlóûs of my dad” Sophia said with a smile. “Welcome Mr Austin I also Missed you, you and your wife made this house boring” Jack replied.

“Jack we will see you later” Rowen said and carry Sophia. “My love is back” Mrs Hunt said and hug Rowen to herself.

Mr Hunt clear his throat and Rowen disengage from the hug. “The prodigal son is back, bàstàrd” Mr Hunt said and Sophia moved closer to Mr Hunt.

“How dare you call my Dad a Bàstàrd?” Sophia said and Mr Hunt open his mouth in shock and Austin left out a mischievous smile. “Mr Hunt is in for problem!” Austin said happily.

“Who are you?” Mr Hunt asked with a frown. “Don’t ask me question, f×¢king answer my question” Sophia said and Mrs Hunt nod her head in support. Rowen left out a smirk and sat on a chair.

“He’s my son I can talk to him anyhow I like” Mr Hunt said and Sophia burst into laughter.

“Do I look like I care? I need to know the reason why you called my Dad a Bàstàrd” Sophia said. “When did Rowen give birth?” Mr Hunt asked. “Mr Hunt you’ll like to answer her question fast before she get angry” Rowen replied. He removed a bubble gum from his pocket and throw it in his mouth.

“Anyway I like calling him a Bàstàrd because he loves behaving like a one” Mr Hunt replied. “My dad isn’t a bàstàrd, how can you call a good man like this a bàstàrd?” Sophia asked. “He’s my son I can call him anything I like” Mr Hunt said.

“And he’s my dad, you can’t call him anything you want, call him with respect our generation is lucky to have someone like him” Sophia yelled.

“I surrender!” Mr Hunt said and raised his hand up in the air and Mrs Hunt look into Rowen face surprised.

“Just like that?” Mrs Hunt asked. “Yes, this girl can beat me up if I don’t agree with her” Mr Hunt said with a smile. He moved closer to Rowen and spread his hand forward for handshake.

Rowen reluctantly brought out his hand and check Mr Hunt. “This doesn’t mean I hsve forgiven you for running away, you will still tell me why you leave only me with pile of works” Mr Hunt said. “There’s no need to explain later, you guys aren’t giving me peace of mind, all you want is money and getting married” Rowen replied chewing his gum loud.

“I was only training you” Mr Hunt replied. “I don’t need the training” Rowen replied and Sophia went to his side. “Who’s she?” Mr Hunt asked.

“I thought she made mentioned of her being my child” Rowen replied. “I heard her but I didn’t believe, when did you give birth to a grow up kid like this?” Mr Hunt asked.

“He adopted me from the orphanage home, anymore question?” Sophia asked and Mr Hunt smile out. “She’s so smart I love her” Mr smart said.

“What’s your name beautiful?” Mr Hunt asked. “Little pretty beautiful Sophia” Sophia replied with a smile. “Wow all this name for only you?” Mr Hunt asked.

“Yes didn’t you like it?” Sophia asked with a frown. “Yeah I do, but you didn’t add hunt” Mr Hunt replied.

“Oh my bad” Sophia replied with a smile. “I’m Mr Hunt your grand dad nice meeting you” Mr Hunt said. “I’m glad you like me” Sophia said. “Thank goodness I just finished preparing dinner, it’s time the eat dinner” Mrs Hunt said happily and they all walked to the dinning. Dinner was akward until Austin speak out.

“Uncle Austin apply table manner please” Sophia said with an eyeroll and Mrs Hunt burst into laughter.

“We have many things to talk about after dinner” Mrs Hunt said and Rowen nod his head. “I’ll be going to my house after dinner, my house have missed me alot, and I also missed it” Austin said dramatically.

“Drama king” Mrs Hunt said. “Ma did you like me?” Sophia suddenly ask. “Sure I do, why did you asked?” Mrs Hunt asked. “I asked because you didn’t care about asking of my name” Sophia replied with a pout. “I’m sorry, I think there’s no need since you’ve already told your grandpa” Mrs Hunt replied and Sophia nod her head with a smile.

“Here’s what I found about you, I was going through some files your father gave me before his death and I found out he’s not your biology father” Mr Maxwell said. “That’s not possible!” Brittany said immediately.

“It’s possible, your mother is your biological mother but Mr Chad isn’t your father, my Chad married your mother with your pregnancy which is well known to Mr Chad” Mr Maxwell said.

“No no” Brittany shouted with shaking hands. “you can go through the letters, I didn’t even know he left some things behind for you until now” Mr Maxwell said.

“Why didn’t he tell me before now?” Brittany asked. “His reason is stated there just go through the book, your real father is also there” Mr Maxwell replied.

“Gosh! My Hunt” Brittany said. “Yes Mr Hunt did you know him?” Mr Maxwell asked.

“I’m not really sure but I hope it’s not what I’m thinking” Brittany said. “Did you know any Hunt?” Maxwell asked. “Yes I once donated my blood for Emma boyfriend and it worked, can Rowen be my brother?” Brittany asked.

“I think you know him, Hunt is one of my friends, we will give him a surprise visit tomorrow,” Maxwell said and pat Brittany back before walking out to call Emma. “Mr Maxwell how are you?” Emma asked. “As you can see I’m fine, but your Friend isn’t fine” Mr Maxwell replied and Emma sprang up immediately.

“What happened to her? What did you do to her?” Emma asked. “I didn’t do anything, she will explain to you when you get to my study, I don’t know how to pet” Mr Maxwell said. “Emma let’s go together” Mrs Maxwell said and they both rushed to Maxwell study.

“Brittany what happened?” Emma asked immediately she stepped foot in,side the study. “I just found out something I don’t know about myself, I found out my late Dad isn’t my biological dad” Brittany replied and tears drop from her eyes. “Hey baby I don’t like seeing tears, but how did Mr Maxwell know all this?” Emma asked.

“He told me he came across the file Mr Chad gave to him before he dead, but I don’t pay attention to it” Mrs Maxwell replied. “Oh I see, what are you going to do now? And who’s your biological father? I’m sure you have know who he’s by now” Emma said. “Mr Hunt, but I’m not sure if it’s the Mr Hunt I know” Brittany replied.

“It can never be a coincidence you know why I said that” Emma said. “But I still find all this funny, my father have never tell me he’s not my biological father, he has never send my mother didn’t dime it fit to tell me” Brittany said. “They did that for your own good I guess!” Mrs Maxwell replied moving closer to her. “They did it for their selfish interest” Brittany replied.

“You never can tell, you don’t know what your biological father did to your mother and if it’s truly Mr Hunt Is your father, your mother might be his Mistress, maybe that’s the reason why she kept it a secret” Emma said. “Concubine” Brittany said and burst into laughter. “You shouldn’t have said that” Mrs Maxwell said with an eye roll.

“I never knew it will hurt her, baby you know I love you, stop crying everyone happens for a reason, you should be happy you later know who your father is” Emma said.

“I’m hurt!” Brittany said. “You don’t have to, take a deep breath” Emma said with a smile and Brittany smile out. “Good girl, this is what I wanna see” Emma said and sat on her lap.

“Hey don’t break my leg you àsshólè” Brittany shouted and Emma drag her hair. Brittany phone ring out loud. She looks at the screen and hissed out loud. “Who’s Austin?” Mrs Maxwell asked with a smile. “Brittany crush” Emma blunt out. “Are you okay? Austin isn’t my crush” Brittany replied.

“He’s not your crush, but you like him” Emma replied.

“Give him a chance I need to see my grandchildren” Mrs Maxwell said and walked out of the study. “Emma Maxwell I’m gonna kîll you today” Brittany shouted.

“I love you too darling” Emma’s replied and rushed to her room and Brittany run after her.

“Open the door!” Brittany said hitting on the door. “No dinner is ready I’ll come join you soon, I can’t afford to lose my front teeth” Emma replied.

“I’ll still deal with you, you can’t escape from me” Brittany replied with gritted teeth. “Sorry baby, you already lose” Emma replied and Brittany walked to the dinning. “I can see you’re better now” Maxwell said with a smile.

Emma P.o.v

“Hurry up, we need to prepare something delicious before your boyfriend comes” mum shouted.

“Mum don’t pressurize me, I’ll come out when I’m done” I shouted, she has been disturbing me since I told her Rowen agreed to come today, Brittany and Dad left this morning, I hope her step mom and Dad accept her. “Emma Maxwell!” Mum yelled.

“Mrs Sandra Maxwell let me be” I yelled back.

“I promise to break your room door” she shouted. “You’ll f×¢king fixed it with your money” I replied.

“I know my husband owes the house, I can destroy anything I like” she replied. “This woman is too proud did my liking” I shouted and she burst into laughter. She’s planning to cook alot of food today just because Rowen promised to come, I wished I never tell her.

AUTHORESS P.O.V

Brittany and Mr Maxwell came down from Mr Maxwell car and Mr Maxwell hold Brittany hand.

“Take a deep breath Brittany” Maxwell said and Brittany smile at him. They Walked to the door and placed a knock on it. “Good day sir, how may I help you?” A maid asked.

“We are here to see Mr Hunt” Mr Maxwell replied and the maid open the door widely for them to enter. “Aunty!” Sophia rushed to hug Brittany immediately she saw her. “Gosh! He’s truly the one” Brittany muttered. “Oh good, but have you seen him before?” Mr Maxwell whispered. “No Dad” Brittany replied.
