“I should marry you?
I asked being so surprised.

“Yes my love,I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,please marry me”
He said being so serious.

“My love how can I marry you when your mother hate and despised me so much even the place i step my foot to? Your mother won’t accept me as her daughter in law”
I said.

“It does not matter my love,What matters here is that we are in love,I don’t care if my mother accept the relationsh¡p or not beside am the one that is getting marry to you and not her so please don’t let my mother’s disapproval make you to turn down my marriage proposal”
He said to me still kneeling down.

“Am scared my love,I don’t know how your mother will react if she find out about the pregnancy and the marriage proposal she meant do the unimaginable thing”
I said being so worried.

“Stop being scared over nothing,I love you and I will stand with you no matter what,I know that If break the good news to mother she will be overwhelmed and accept you to be her daughter in law”
He said.

“My love am still kneeling down waiting for your answer,will you marry me and make me the happiest man on earth?

“My Aunt Anne found out about my pregnancy and she is mad with anger,I need to go home right away”

Vero opened the door and their faces were burning in anger,Aunt Anne dragged me in,side and slapped me,her first time of raising up her hand on me.

Uncle Rafael shouted angrily.

Grandma asked.

I said and showed them the ring.

I went and asked Aunt Anne for her forgiveness,she forgave and hugged me,they all forgave me.

I called out her name when I came back from the hospital.

She came down and asked,
“Why are you shouting my name like a pregnant woman who is in labour?

“Mother thank your God that nothing happen to Reina and the baby”
I shouted.

“Baby! What did you mean?
She asked confusingly.

“Reina is expecting my child”
I said still a little bit angry.

She laughed and asked.
“You are joking right?
She didn’t take what I said as a serious something.

“Am not joking Mother,She is expecting my child and I have accepted to marry me”
I said giving her the shock of her life.

“Son I don’t know you to be a coward,how could be this foolish and allow that gold digger is trick you with a pregnancy, don’t you know that girl didn’t love you she have a bad motives”
She shouted.

“Mother enough of all this your hatred you have for Reina,I don’t know why you dislike her so much?
I shouted angrily.

“Because she is not a good person,she didn’t love you all she want is your money that’s why she tricked with this pregnancy”
She shouted.

“And you think Becky is the one that loves me?

I laughed and said,

A message bumped into my phone,I checked it and the message is from my love,she said i should come over her parents want to see me.

“Mom let me make it clear to you,the love i have for Reina is beyond human imaginations and there’s nothing in this world that will make me to marry her not even you Mom”
I shouted.

“Let wait and see if I will allow you to bring that gold digger into this house as a wife”
She shouted.

Diego came down and congratulated me.

“Even you Diego,you are in support of this so call relationsh¡p? Instead of you to advice your brother and open his eyes to see that,that girl is nobody but a gold digger who want to dig from where she did not sowed and she has succeed in tracking him with a pregnancy but I won’t allow her to come into this my house”
She shouted.

“Aunt Reina is a very good lovely person,why can’t you give her time to be with you then you will realized the type of person she is and you will be happy that Santiago made a good choice”
Diego adviced her.

“Over my dead body will I stay and have a word with that disgusting human being”
She shouted.

“Then mother get ready to start seeing me as your enemy because am bringing Reina home as my wife as I said a while ago there”s nothing in this world that will make me to marry her”
I shouted.

“Diego am going to Reina’s house to discuss about the marriage,I hope you won’t mind joining me?
I asked.

He sounded with smiles.

She shouted.

I gave her I don’t care look and we went out,Firstly we went to the kiddies shop and brought a lot of babies things before going to Reina’s house.

The family was so happy to us and their welcome us whole heartedly we discussed about the marriage date but Reina objected that we should wait until she put to birth which I didn’t like the idea at all,for me to wait a whole nine months is like waiting for eternity before bringing her home as my wife but I got no option but wait then since she said so.

We ate some snacks,gitted and our comedian Grandma Lolita killed us with laughter before we went back home.

I told them to wait until I gave birth that not i don’t want to walk down the aisle like a pregnant bride but the major reason why I objected is because I need a lot of time to win his mother’s heart,I can’t be married to him knowing fully well the mother hate me and she will not give us her blessings which so important for a newly weded couple and for us to live long.

Just about to sleep my phone ranged it was Santiago.

I keep on smiling as recalled back the first day we met and how our love story started and how he has been so good sweet to me,my main focus for now is to try my possible best to win his mother’s heart which the most important thing to me.

When I heard that bitch of a girl is pregnant for Santiago my heart was burning with anger like a hell fire and the rate of the anger in me increased to millions percent,I won’t allow that girl to give birth that will be over my dead body,she has escaping all the death plans I had for her but this time she won’t be alive to see tomorrwo,today marks the end of her miserable life,she won’t escape this time again.

This time I planned with a cab man to bring her to a building site where nobody will find out about her death,I was already there waiting for them and I know this time my plan will succeed.

I waited for about thirty minutes before their arrived,the cab man blinded her and tied her two hands together, pointing gun at her,he brought her to me.

I said to the cab man and payed him his remaining money.

He said and made his way out.

“Who are you and what did you want for me?
The stupid Reina asked.

“What I want from you this death,I want to kill you,I want to skin you alive”
I shouted and gave her a sounded slap.

I unfolded her and shouted in shock.

“Becky what have I done to you to deserve this? Why did you want to kill me?
She shouted.

“You think you can come from nowhere and snatched my boyfriend away and even ruin the plans i have been planning for so long? I won’t allow you to do such thing,I won’t allow you to ruin my plans”
I shouted angrily and slapped her again.

“I did not snatched Santiago away from you,why is it hærd for you to accept that Santiago did not love? What makes you think If you kill me Santiago will marry you? He will never love you put that into your head”
She shouted and increased the anger in me.

“You will never be his life,you have been escaping all my death plans but today you won’t escape, today will be the end of your life”
I shouted angrily.

I pushed her down beating her mercilessly,if she tries to fight back i will give her punch upon punch,she struggled to get away from me but couldn’t and this time I was beating her on her tummy inflicting my anger on her.

She later struggled and untied her hands,she ran off I ran after her with a gun,I could have kill her at that point but I want to torture her and torture very well then kill her later so that in her next world she will not be a boyfriend snatcher.

“Come back here! You can”t get away from me!
I shouted and ran after her.

She ran off to the uncompleted building,running on her stairs and breathing so heavily,I ran after her until we got to the six storeys.

I laughed devilishly,
“Nowhere to escape!
I was going close to her as she was moving back and got to the edge of the balcony that got no rail.

“Please don’t kill me for the case of my unborn baby”
She pleaded in tears.

“That’s the more reason why I want to kill you and I must succeed”
I shouted.

I was at the office feeling so restless and I feel like something bad is happening but I can’t place the thing or where it’s coming from,I couldn’t do anything the restless was so much on me.

“What’s is going on? Why am I feeling this way?
I said and i stood up and walked around but I still can’t get myself,I drank water but still nothing else to happen the restless keep on persisting.

“I need to call Reina to know if she is fine”
I said.

I dailed her number and she picked immediately,

📞 Santiago please help me! She want to kill me!
She cried out.

Before I could ask her where she is the phone went off.

“Reina is in trouble,what am I going to do now?
I said feeling so worried.

I can’t call her family right now they will die in worries.

“What will I do? She is trouble,how will I save her?
I thought on what to do feeling so restless.

“Diego is perfectly good in technology,he will help to track her number and get the location”
I said and ran off to Diego’s office.

I told him what happen,i called her number to see if she came pick again so that we can track the number but all to avail.

“Diego Reina is in danger,she need my help,what are we going to do?
I said as tears started dropping out from my eyes.

“Calm down nothing will happen to her”
He said and checking how to get her location on the system.

“Yes! I have gotten it,the location says she is at the New Heaven area”
He said to me after few minutes ago.

“Let’s go then!.
I said and grabbed the car key.

We got to the car and drove to that place immediately it was not hærd for us to find due to the track device.

We got to where she is and became so astonished seeing her and Becky at the last flat of the building,Becky was struggling to push her down from the six storeys building.

“Hold on my Love, am here to save you nothing will happen to you”
I shouted.

“Diego call the cops right away Becky can’t get away from this”
I said and ran off to rescue my Reina.

I ran so fast to get to the last flat,when I got there they are still exchanging abusive words and Reina struggling to get away from her.

“Please Becky let her go if not for anything for the case of the baby she is carrying in her womb”
I pleaded but she gave a deaf ear to my pleading.

“If I can’t have you nobody on this earth will have you”
She sounded angrily.

As Reina was still struggling to run off from her all of sudden she pushed her down and blood started pumping like water

“Santiago I have killed her! I just killer her!
She cried out.

I hugged her so tight and said,
“You did not kill her,It just a self defence okay”

“Look at the cops they are here to arrest me,I pushed her down,I killed her, I know I did”
She cried out.

“Listen to me my love, you didn’t do anything,she wanted to kill you and you end up killing her through self defence,I called the cops,they are not here for you okay”
I said calming her down.

We went down to see the officers,they took Becky’ s body to their car,we followed them to the station to give our statement since they needed it.

Reina can’t be able to give any statement due to how devastated she is,I informed her family about what happened, her Uncle Rafael and Cousin Dlyan came to pick her from the station to the house while I give the statement since I knew everything that happened.

Everything went perfectly well at the station,they didn’t pro charge the case due what happened it was a self defence and for Becky”s body his uncle came and claimed it,She digged a gave for someone and ended up falling into it,what’s her gain now? Absolutely nothing!

EIGHT MONTHS LATER
“Vero have you called Reina to know if she Is on her way,this is half pass eight, with her condition she suppose not be late at home?
Mom asked.

“Yes Mom! I have called her,she said the traffic jam is too much that we got nothing to worry about Mr Gilberto is bringing her home”
I said.

“Nothing to worry about anymore, my son in law will bring her safety home”
Grandma said.

We were all at the sitting room telling stories and waiting for her,nine o’clock she is not yet back,I called her and she told me the same thing again that we should not worry they are coming back home.

Twenty minutes passed Nine,a knock came from outside,
“Thank God they are here!
I said and rushed to open the door.

I became so shocked and scared of the people I saw,this three guys their faces was unmasked.

“Who is at the door?
Mom asked,I didn’t say anything to them I was dying in fear.

One of the guy pointing the gun at me as I led them in,side,the last guy shut the door,my family became so scared and astonished.

“Who are you guys and what did you guys want for us?
Dad shouted in fear.

They gathered us together and tied our hands ,we were dying in fear and what came into our is Reina and the unborn baby.

“Reina!
We shouted.

We started praying in heart for Reina not to come back home by now,the traffic jam should so serious and prevent her from coming and meet this guys since we don’t know what’s their motives if is to kill us or anything.

One of the guy put a call to the person that sent them,he told the person that the girl is not here,we now realized they are here for Reina but what we don’t know is the person that sent them.

“Why are you guys looking for my grand daughter,what did you want from her?
Grandma shouted.

“We want her death since we did not see her,her family have to pay”
One of the guy shouted.

They shot Grandma,we cried out and pleaded for mercy and shouted for help nobody to come to our rescue,they shot us all,I was still breathing slowly to death as I watched them leaving the house and shut down the door,nobody came to our rescue not even the neighbours because the sound of the gun was so low that nobody outside the house will hear anything,we all dead.

It has been eight months and three weeks,I will soon give birth to my baby,we have not married until Santiago’s mother I have not accepted me as her daughter in law and am still trying my best to win her heart even if it takes me to wait for a whole years I will patiently wait.

The traffic jam was so bad that my family has been calling to know if am coming home,the traffic lasted for about two hours before we drive out.

We got this lonely road that lead to the rural area,a car came and blocked us,Santiago started horning for them to get out from the road but they didn’t rather they came down and with guys approaching to us,they shot the tyre for us to drive out.

“We have to come down and run okay”

We came down,he held my hand as we started running to God knows where,even at my condition I still manage to run for my life,they were chasing us as we keep on running,the car was coming for us to get in.

We ran into a bush path and to a point I got so tired and I can’t run anymore.

I ran out and met the guys coming to meet us,I grab a big stick and hit one hærdly on his head he fell down,the second one came I hit him too then last one came with a guy,I used my leg and kicked out the gun his hand angrily.

The two guys ran for their dear life remaining only one guy.

We stayed fighting,giving each other punches upon punches,I knocked him down giving him hærdly punches when I noticed that he is now weak I left him to get Reina,at the moment I took two steps he grab the gun and shot me at my ribs,I shouted in pains.

He managed to stand up,he came to me hit my head with the head of the gun,he made his way out immediately,I cried out for Reina’s help.

As I was hiding behind the rock my heart was beating so fast and my body written with so much fear, I keep on praying for God to save Santiago for me,I needed to go out and see what is going on there but I can’t go due to the fear in me.

Few minutes later,I started hearing Santiago’s voice shouting in pains,I rushed out immediately forgotten my condition,I met him lying on the ground in pool of blood.

“My love what happen? Look at what those bastard did to you”
I cried out as I managed to stand him up.

I was crying as I hanged his hand on my shoulder and took him out from the bush to road where I can be able to get help.

“Hang it there my love! Nothing will happen to you! I assure you that!
I cried and lied him on the ground.

“Please help us! he is dying,please”
I shouted at the car that was coming but the man didn’t care and zoomed off.

I tried to stop car but none care to stop and help us.

“What am I going to do now? I can’t allow my love to die”
I cried out and went back to him.

I reached for his phone in his pocket,thank God there was signal,I called his mom and she picked immediately.

📞 Santiago where are you? I have been calling and you are not answering”

📞 Please Ma,we need your help,Santiago is badly injured,please contact the ambulance,we are on the road that leads to the rural area”
I said and his phone switched off.

“My love i don’t think if I can handle this anymore,I dying seriously”
He said with a weak voice.

I used my hands touching his face,
“My love please hang it there,nothing will happen to you okay,I have called your mom she will soon be here with the ambulance”
I cried out.

“You are not going anywhere,you will be here and welcome our daughter”
I cried out.

Few minutes later,his Mom came with the ambulance, they came out and took him in,side the ambulance.

“What of you done to my son,you witch?
She shouted and hit me on the head with her hand.

“I didn’t do anything Ma!
I cried out.

“If anything happen to my only son I kill you”
She shouted and went in,side the car.

I wanted to follow them but she send me out,I cried and watches them as they drove out to the hospital.

“What am I going to do now? I need to call my family and tell them the situation we are in”
I checked my phone and the battery is dead.

I decided to walk down until I got a cab and keep on praying for God to keep Santiago alive for my sake and also for the sake of our unborn child.

Lucky for me I got a cab,some minutes later I got home and I became so astonished,dumbfounded,devastated,words are not enough to express the way i was feeling,my heart was broken into pieces like a broken mirror as i saw my family bodies lying down outside the house.

I rushed to them,shaking them one after the other asking them question about what happen to them.

“Uncle why my family lying down dead? who did this to them?
I cried out and asked my other uncle from my mother’s side.

He told me the little he knew about their death,I cried and cried if it’s possible for someone to cried out blood my blood would have filled up drum or if it’s possible for someone to cried and her eyes balls will fall out you would have seen mine on the floor.

The ambulance came and carried their bodies,I cried and wanted to follow them,my Uncle held me and all of a sudden I felt a kick on my tummy and before I could knew what was going on my water breaks.

“She is in labour!
The neighbours shouted as they helped and rushed to the General Hospital.

We arrived at the hospital and I was rushed to the labour room immediately,Twelve mid night I gave birth to my baby girl.

The nurse cleaned us and brought us to the room where we will be staying.

I looked at my baby and I cried,I don’t know why God allow such havoc to befall on me.

I want to her cot,
“You Dad loves you so much and he will be so glad to hear that you have arrived to this world”
I pecked her on her forehead and worn her the necklace.

I went back to my bed to sleep and hope to waked up and realized at all that happened is nothing but a nightmare.

When I waked up I couldn’t find my baby,
“Where is my baby? Who took my child?
I cried out and ran out asking the nurses if they have seen my child but I got no information from them.

I was running so mad looking for my child,I rushed to Santiago’s house and I got the shooked of my life,it was Santiago’s funeral.

“What is this murderer doing in my house? You have finally killed my son”
She cried out and pushed me out.

“Mrs Maria Gilberto I know you are the one behind the death of my family and my baby i promise you on this faithful day I will come back and revenge and i will make sure you pay and make your life a living hell for you”
I cried and went out.

I didn’t go to the funeral of my family because I can’t sound it,I can’t hold myself and watches my family being lay to the grave,I don’t know why all this painful and heart broken things are happening to me,what have I done to deserve this?

Two hours later,I went to the cemetery with flowers to see my family and my love Santiago, I cried and cried bitterly at my family grave,if the shout of my cry will wake up the dead all the dead people would have been coming to console me.

“I promise you all that I will not rest nor sleep until I revenge on your death”
I cried out and dropped the flowers on their graves.

I went to Santiago’s grave and wept so bitterly,
“My love you promised to stay with me forever,what have happen now? Why did you have to leave me all in this wicked world? I got no family again,no one to call my own and the only one that will give me the strength to move on fight for my enemies has been taking away from me,How will I cope without you in my life? A life without you is meaningless and a life without you is like a broken pencil,there’s no point of living anymore but I will try my best to be strong so that I will find the people that cut our love story short and also find our beautiful daughter Eva,She is so beautiful,she takes all your handsome look,my love to others you are no more but to me you will forever be in my heart,I keep on loving you until I join you in the paradise and our love story will continue there”
I wept and my tears was dropping on his grave.

“With every drop of my tears I promise to revenge on your death and I promise to find our baby”
I cried out and drop the flower on his grave and made my way out to God knows where.
