CHAPTER 9

Gwennie’s POV

.
Getting up the next morning without the assistant of my alarm clock, I went to the kitchen and helped myself to a cup of lukewarm water..
Resting my butt on the counter and dropping the empty cup beside me I ran my fingers through the tangled strands of my purple hair and loosed all the parts that got intertwined…
I got up and walked back to my room..that was when I realized I didn’t change to my outfit yesterday..pulling off my clothes I wrapped a pink towel round my body and entered the en suite..
I pulled off the towel,hanged it and stood on the stand..
scrubbing..
scrubbing and,
scrubbing
I washed my hair with my orange fragrance shampoo and got out of the shower..I applied little lotion, some roll-on and pulled on a pink flower gown that stopped a little above my knees..
I packed my hair in a ponytail and applied some lip gloss, refusing to use much make up today..I wore my black leather boot and walked to the room.
Jerold, mom and dad were already on the dinning so I walked up to them.
“Good morning family..how does it feels like having breakfast without me?” I asked as I took a seat beside dad.
“Better than great” Jerold said and I gave him a dopey grin..
“I was just about calling you after I was done sharing the teas” mom said ad she poured some choco tea in my tea cup.

we had toast and tea for breakfast.
Dad decided to drop Jerold at school and they both left after pecking mom…
I drank some water and stood up to assist mom in clearing the table..
After that she took her car keys from the couch and I ran back to my room to get my guitar..I pulled open my closet and saw my guitar laying exactly the way I left it yesterday and beside it was…
The yellow sock!
I picked up my guitar and dropped it on my bed then took the sock, pressing it gently with my thumb I licked my bottom l-ips and breathed out deeply.
I stared at the sock then at my chest and walked over to the full length mirror after locking my closet I stared at my b-obs through the mirror and sighed.
“Maybe this is a bad idea” I said and walked more closer to the mirror..I cupped my Bre-st in one hand and gulped..
“Or maybe it isn’t” I said and licked my bottom l-ips nervously.
seriously..why am I even thinking of this..
and why am I making that b-oby freak word have this kinda stupid effect on me instead slapping this clothing on his crazy cheeks..
and..
Why do I feel like he’s right as well.
“Honey…we’re running late” I heard mom voice and I sighed..
“2 seconds mom!” I yelled and inhaled deeply…
“A try won’t harm right?”
maybe being artificial for a while won’t do any harm..
it’s just for today..
I quickly folded one pair of the sock and carefully place it on my n-pple…I did it for the second one and blinked twice..
it really looked bigger..
I lifted it up with my palm and adjusted the gown well enough to hold it tight since I wasn’t putting on any b-ra…
I quickly grabbed my guitar and purse and ran to the living room..
We both walked to the porch and I watched mom as she locked the door then we got into the car and hit the road.

pulling up in front of the gate and giving me a quick goodbye peck some ‘take care’ motherly words mom bade me goodbye and drove out.
I quickly pinned my badge to my outfit and entered through the gates after a quick scan by the security..I got to the building and went straight to my class I got to my seat and saw Hailey and Justin already sitting and talking.
“Oh, hey Gwen” Hailey greeted with a smile and I took my seat beside her.
“Hey Hailey..sup?” I said as I put down my guitar bag.
“Better than ever..you?” she asked.
I looked at Justin but he had his head down to his table like there was something fascinating on it and like I wasn’t even here..
I gulped the painful snub and faced Hailey.
“Same..was expecting your call yesterday, what happened?” I said.
“Oh..I’m so sorry Gwen, I really forgot..forgive me” she said with her two palm joined together and I smiled..
“I wasn’t angry Hailey I just wanted to know ..it’s good tho..hey Justin” I said
well there’s no harm saying hi since he wouldn’t and besides I’m itching to just hear his voice..
those voice..
“H-hey Gwen” he stuttered and licked his bottom lip..
oh..those crushing dimples appeared.
just so cute.
and..oh those l-ips..

I quickly shook my head literally shaking off the silly thoughts and watched as a teacher walked in with a guy beside her..
he had a tuba bag on his shoulders.
“Hello class..we have a new student in our midst today and he’d be resuming here, I want you all to make him feel among and welcomed” she said and I twitched a brow..
I thought registration was supposed to end yesterday..
mom said so..
or did she lie to me..
geez
and besides I didn’t get this welcome greetings when I arrived yesterday..I was told to get to class on my own and that was why I had to meet Alex.
Is this school so unfair..?
I looked at the guy..
he had really dark short hair with a little tint of ash on one side..
a slight pointed nose, thin pink l-ips, moderate eye size and a small earring on his left ear..
he’d obviously be a big playboy.
he wore a yellow jersey shirt, plain black trousers and black sneakers.
he was undeniably cute but not as Justin..
and when he smiled I noticed a slight gap between his two front teeth..
and no dimple.
only my J has it.
I saw the teacher’s mouth moving and that was when I realized she was still talking and I wasn’t even listening…
so much for admiration.
“…and since registration ends today we’ll be joining the other students soon…please have your seat Guy..work commences now” she said..
guy..?
why’s she addressing him as guy..I thought that’s supposed to be the teenagers way of greeting…
I never knew elder use it too..
are they friends or something..

The guy came to my side and sat beside me..I could see Hailey’s mouth curved in a ‘wow’ shape and the flirtatious eyes that followed.
seriously..is she always like this, looking flirtingly at any guy that so happens to be hot.
“oh And guy.. your seat partner will give you a tour around the school once it’s break time and take you through our previous works” the teacher suddenly said and I arched my brows..
what!
seriously..is this woman freaking serious.
does she even realize that I’m also a newbie and that I practically don’t know my way around here as well.
and why the f-ck does she still keeps calling him guy..
“Your lucky day Gwen” Hailey whispered to me and I rolled my eyes.
indeed..
I looked over at Justin and he had this indescribable look on his face..I felt really sad tho.

After the day’s work and me leading my seat partner through some stuffs it was finally lunch time..the teacher walked out after wishing us a good day..I closed my note and kept them in my guitar bag, the guy also stood up with his tuba bag on his shoulder.
“Cafeteria time Gwen..let’s go” Hailey said and I hanged my bag on my shoulder.
“I’m really craving for some coffee righ’ now” I said and made to walk but felt a hand on my palm..I faced back.
jeez..
“You’re supposed to take me on the tour miss” the guy said and I narrowed my eyes.
his palm was still wrapped on my wrist and I apologetically and slowly faced Hailey and Justin..
“Guess I’ve got work to do..you guys can go without me” I said..
Justin gave a sad look at me and walked out of the class..
ugh..I really wish I could go with him…
And right now I already hate that teacher..making me do stuffs that are against my wish..
“What’s wrong with Jenkins” Hailey said as she took a quick glance at the door then at me..
“See you Gwen and don’t worry I’ll grab two burgers for you and a smoothie” Hailey said and I smiled.
“Thanks girlie” I said and she waved before moving out..
I made to walk and that was when I realized that the Guy’s hand was still on my wrist.

I faced him.

my voice hanged when I saw his eye boring right into mine and a killer smile on his l-ips..
my breath seized and my eyes went to his curved red l-ips..
and somehow…
just somehow…..
I think I felt a sharp spark through my heart..
