The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a list of candidates the party is supporting to emerge as leaders of the ninth National Assembly. The party made its decision known at the end of it’s National Working Committee (NWC) emergency meetings held on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 of June 2019.

2. APC Governors Endorse Lawan, Gbajabiamila
Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have thrown their weights behind the candidacy of Senate Leader, Sen. Ahmad Lawan and Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila for the ninth National Assembly leadersh¡p. Naija News understands that the APC governors under the Progressives Governors Forum arrived at their decision at a closed-door meeting held at the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge on Sunday night in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

3. Senate President: Lawan, Ndume Lobby PDP Senators-elect
Senators Ahmed Lawan and Ali Ndume, the two top contenders for the position of Senate Presidency in the 9th Senate, have intensified efforts to woo Senators-elect of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). It was gathered that Ahmed Lawan met with former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and other senators-elect.

4. 230 Members-Elect Endorse Gbajabiamila As Next Speaker – APC
The All Progressives Congress has disclosed that its candidate for the speakersh¡p position in the ninth National Assembly, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila is enjoying massive support from members-elect. According to the ruling party, 230 members-elect have signed an endorsement register for Gbajabiamila to emerge as the next Speaker of the House of Representatives.
