The fortifier

CHAPTER 7

Early morning around 7am
“Where is the captured lady”, Diego asked as he came out of his Lamborghini
“Boss we sent her to the location you asked us too”, a man said coming out of the warehouse
“Oh really but am just coming from that location and she isn’t there”, Diego said infuriated
“Call the guy that took her in a jeep”, the man said to another
“Wait a damn minute”, Diego said holding up his hand
“Yes boss”, the man said
“f×¢k”, Diego shouted “Everyone get into a car”, he s¢ræmed as he entered his Lamborghini
He drove really fast making drifts on top speed.

“Damn boss is really angry”, a man said in another car while they followed
“It was the fortifier”, the driver replied
“What do you mean? “, the man asked
“The fortifier took her am sure about that”, the man said
Soon the Lamborghini came to a halt near a jeep that had ran through a pole, Diego came out with his men.
“Is this the jeep”, Diego asked
“f×¢k it is”, the men shouted as they went to the jeep and saw the driver who was dead already.

“The fortifier took her”, he said as he got into his car
He put a call through to Thomas phone but he got no answer at all
“This line you are calling doesn’t exist”, a network service voice said
“f×¢k I will get you Thomas, you killed my assassins, now you saved your ex, let see how you save you self”, he said as he signaled his men to move.
He entered his car and drove away with his men leaving the damaged jeep and dead body before the authorities could arrive at the scene.
After hours of journey the helicopter finally arrived at Thomas yard landing slowly on the vast plot of land.
“How are your legs now”, he asked her
“Think they are much better”, Susan said
“Wanted to carry you but no probes anymore”, he said getting off the helicopter

She tried getting off the helicopter but ended up hitting her butt on the floor obviously she was still weak, she wore a short white gown which was a bit transparent at the time of her capture she was in her bedroom.
Diego was in his black jacket with a scarf round his neck and black jeans, he went toward her and lifted her off the ground.

His bold touch round her w–st made her shy as she couldn’t look straight into his eyes. The moment was absolutely awkward but so also was the silence as she couldn’t find her voice and Diego had no interest in talking either, he entered his home and dropped her on a chair while he went to his refrigerator and got himself a beer and gave her some chilled milk and snacks.
“Eat up so you can gain energy”, he said leaving the house to go check on his animals and perform his ritual,
He made a high pitch whistle and suddenly his horse came galloping towards him.

“Missed you boy”, he said as he hugged the horse stroking his head gently before getting on top of it.
Meanwhile Susan looked through the windows watching Thomas who rode his horse and was headed for the farm yard. He opened the doors letting all his cattle come out; he grabbed his wh¡p and guided them to the green fields while they grazed on the earth delicacy.
“Back to business”, Thomas said while on top his horse.

Diego who wasn’t pleased about the recent outcome of things needed to get rid of Thomas for wasting his men like they were chickens. He looked around and smashed his mug on the table.
‘Prepare yourselves we have a prey to catch”, he said to his men
“His brothers stopped my political advancement, I tried to kill them but he saved them, I captured his ex fiancée and he save her, what if we attack him I wonder who would save him? “, Diego said
“I said prepare yourselves we are attacking that man, after all he is one man”, he said
“Ok boss”, they replied
While Thomas watched his cattle, Susan had slept off due to a exhausted body. Hours passed already and it was evening already. Thomas had just finished taking his horse back to it stable while he closed up the animals for the day
He went into his little home whose in,side was mightier than the outlook, he met Susan who was already up and filled with energy.

“I can see you are no more weak”, he said dropping his jacket
‘All thanks to you’, she said
“No problem”, he replied going to the refrigerator to get a bottle of beer again
Out of nowhere she grabbed the bottle of beer off his hands while he just looked at her astonished.
“Won’t you stop drinking beer ever”, she asked with a smiley face
“That is the only companion I got”, he said with a dull look as he took another beer and opened it going to a sit and removing his boots and turning on the TV to watch a movie.

“Thomas you look dull”, she said sitting beside him
“The bathroom is in any room”, he said removing a map of the home from his pocket
“Go and bath”, he said
“Ok but what about you? “She asked
But Thomas was already deep in sleep.
“Oh boy “, she said looking at Thomas then to the map
She took hold of Thomas and dragged him all the way to room 1.
“Wow”, she said as she turned on the switch of the light which displayed a superb looking room.
She grabbed Thomas and pulled him all the way to the bed, she then located the bathroom and took a shower before coming out and taking one of Thomas clothes wearing it with his underwear.
She removed Thomas clothes excluding his underwear and laid him properly on the bed before she laid down beside him and slept off once again wither hands round his chest.

CHAPTER 8

Morning approach slowly and at this time Thomas had woken up early in the morning. He looked around and recognizes he was in one of his rooms.
“How the hell did I get here”, He wondered
He was about making a move out of the bed when he felt a hand round his chest without thinking twice he already knew it was Susan. He came out of his bed and discovered that he was in his underwear only.

“Damn”, he whispered putting his hand on his head and then to his face as he stood up from his bed leaving the beautiful sleeping lady to herself.
He started the day with a cup of water before going straight to working out , obviously he had a large area of land for that and for such a long time, he decided to work out just to get his mind off the recent happenings of his life.
As he was jogging he could hear footsteps behind him, he immediately looked back and to his surprise it was Susan.

“When did you get off the bed? he asked
“Right after you”, she replied
“Oh really I see”, he said
“This place haven’t changed a bit”, she said hoping to make a conversations
“So also your attitude? “, Thomas replied as he kept jogging
“Who were those guys that captured me? “She asked hoping for some answers
“Some assassin organization”, he said as he stopped to look at her
‘Once they come here for me, I annihilate them and you can go back to your California boyfriend”, Thomas said
Then she knew he was still bitter at her for what she did in the past leaving him.
“Am sorry Tom”, she said to him
But he ignore as he began working out on his fitness while she just looked and wondered., soon she went back to the house and decided to prepare a meal for him.

Thomas came down from a tree he had climbed so as to have a higher view and headed back home to bath, taking his first step into his house, he could smell the aroma coming from the kitchen. He already knew she was cooking.
“How did she know where the kitchen was talk less of the foodstuffs”, he said going straight to the bathroom
“Thomas your food is ready”, she said but got no reply
He had just finished his bath and didn’t want her disturbance but she entered into the room with her food and Thomas who had not taken a decent meal since couldn’t resist the temptation at all.
His dull face was brightened as he had a taste of his meal.

“Damn your cooking skills seemed to have improved”, he complimented her subconsciously
“Thank you “, she said with a smile
“So, what are you doing today? “, she asked
“Nothing just staying with the animals”, Thomas said while he enjoyed his breakfast
“Can I join you please? “, she asked
“You will need a horse”, he said “and it no girl job”
“Then I will share your horse with you”, she said
“Not a chance”, Thomas said
10 minutes later:
Thomas was seen on his horse back but with Susan in front of him, he had brought the animals out but clearly he wasn’t focused on them at all rather he kept on stealing looks on Susan.
‘You know you should take me on a evening tour round your farm or land”, she said
“Really”, he said
“Yes of course”, she replied with a cute smile
“Alright then”, he said as he sent a wh¡p hitting the floor where one of the cows wanted to go astray.
‘How do you swing that? ‘She asked holding the wh¡p
“You can’t learn it perfectly”, he said
“Seriously you should stop underrating us the women”, she said
“Alright I hear you “, he said
“You do it like this”, he said showing her the way which did soon
They spent all the hours of their day chatting and laughing, evening came and they began their tour on the horse.
With Thomas telling her about the places on his land they continued for about 4 hours till she fell asleep and her heads laying on his chest.
He gave a heave as he guided his horse back to his yard he got down from his horse and carried her in,side his home while he went to his refrigerator for a bottle of beer so he could sit and watch TV.

The night was cool but very special to him as he could feel the difference in the air he breath, he dropped the beer back into his refrigerator as he took a jar of chilled milk to settle with the night.

A phone call entered and it was his brother calling him after his well being.
“So how are you doing? “. Harry asked
“Am good bro what about you “, he asked
“We all safe thanks to you”, Harry said
“No problem man”, Thomas said
“We will be coming soon for visit”, he said
“Really”, Thomas said but wasn’t surprised
“Yes”, harry said
“Alright then, I will be expecting you”, he said
“Ok bro”, harry said as the call was ended
“What a night? “, he said switching off the TV as he finished his cup of milk and went to shower. Susan well had woken up while Thomas was having his discussion and had gone to shower, she wore just a towel she had no other clothes.
Thomas came out of the bathroom and decided to sleep on the couch in the bedroom.

“What are you doing” she asked
“I want to sleep on the couch”, he replied
“Not a chance what happened to the bed”, she said

Chapter 9

“Nothing I just didn’t want to disturb you”, he said
“If you sleep on the couch I will sleep there too”, she said
“Alright then I will sleep on the bed”, Thomas said
“Much better”, she said with a cute smile
“And please no cuddles”, he said as he laid on the bed
“Ok”, she replied
Just immediately he lay on the bed, she already had cuddled him up, he couldn’t talk and she enjoyed it.
“Need to make battle plans”, Thomas thought as he closed his eyes and cuddled her up too
“You guys get ready”, Diego said to his men

“We all ready”, they replied fully armed to the teeth
“We should not underestimate this guy anymore, we go there like we are soldiers in war”, Diego said as he fixed in his bullets into the Ak-47
“Yes Boss”, they said
“We will be going on land, get the cars ready’, he said to his men
“Ok sire”, they replied
“Am coming for you”, he said attaching his pistol to his side lap
He took his black coat and wore a black hat and black shiny shoes, looking like a mafia gangster.

He got down from his building and walked towards a car with his other men occupying several cars as they advanced to a town whose village was still far from an isolated Thomas property.
That night Thomas couldn’t sleep and the reason was obvious he wasn’t used to a lady having her hands round him neither was he used to sleeping when a battle approached

He stood up from his bed and moved away in the room and went to the sitting room. He pressed a button on his bracelet and a door leading to a world of modern weapon. He entered into the room through the door and closed it.
He took a remote pressing a button making a table as huge as a poker table emerges from the floor slowly. The table was bright he pressed the center a hologram image emerged and soon he was making his plan. The image that had emerged was the map of his land.
“So where do we begin”, he said while he zoomed in closely
“Lots of attackers”, he said as he took his favorite sniper gun.
“Sensory guns activated”, he said tapping his tab
“When last did I handle a katana”, he said with a smile while he left the room.

While Diego and his men drove at a neck breaking speed, they were suddenly stopped by several gangs and all were haters of the fortifier.
“We are going for a battle against that useless Thomas”, Diego said
“That dude has ruined us so much”, a man said
“Why don’t you join us? “, Diego replied causing the whole gang to laugh out loud.
“What is so funny? “, Diego asked
”We got a saying in this town?” the man
“Which is?” Diego men asked
“Never attack the fortifier in his home that is why he is the fortifier”, they all said at once
“Cowards”, Diego said while his men laughed
They drove off leaving the other gangs.
“Goodbye” the gang shouted
“See you in afterlife”, a man said as they laughed
“I rather cook soup at home than go battle the fortifier”, a man said
“I rather work hærd for money than steal from the fortifier”, another said
“Why”, one of them asked
“Because he is the fortifier”, they shouted while they walked away.
Diego sat on his horse on a little hill in his land he took out his binoculars to watch. As a soldier, spy and agent he had that feel in his stomach when enemies approached it was like his own alarm system.

“Never attack a strong man in his home”, Thomas said patting his horse
Just then the sun began it early morning yawn and smile, it warm lights touching every part of the land. Just then Diego had the feel again which was much stronger than ever.
He took out his binoculars and he could see lots of cars passing through his land entrance.

“Looks like we got hunters”, he said to his horse
“The sensory guns will soon be out of bullets, I haven’t gotten time to put them back, guess we got to go old school”, he said.
He had just his trousers, a black hat and just a shirt on. He had locked the doors where Susan slept and she didn’t know it, the last thing he needed was a distraction
Diego men cars came to an halt and immediately they came out of the car and quickly went on splitting while they did this Thomas watched from a hill with his binoculars.

Raising his horse up on it hind legs, brought the attention of Diego men to him they looked but what they saw was just black figure with four legs that was due to the sun lighting.
“That is him”, Diego shouted as they released fire on Thomas while they began running closer to him.
‘Letus do this boy”, he said to his horse tapping it.
The horse that had undergone several battles with Thomas wasn’t afraid of shit; it was used to guns and bomb blast.
