Chapter 69

Continuation from the last chapter;
“Rose…Anna?” Starlet exclaims jaw drop. She blinked several times to be sure of whom she was seeing.
“How…come…?”
Camilla walks majestically the towards Starlet with a sly smile.
“Hey darling… You’re certainly not mistaken… Because It’s me… Roseanna…” Camilla says with a soft chuckle.
Starlet who was dumbstruck, thoroughly scans Roseanna from head to toe.
Camilla was dressed in an exquisite royal blue sequined sheath dress showing her well curved figure with a blue heel to match.
“Enough of surprises… I came here for business… Starlet” Camilla brings out a debit note and write some figures on it before handing it over to Starlet.
“I guess I own the house now…?”
Starlet happily receives the debit note and looks at it. Her smile turns into a frown after seeing the figures.
“Why $20,000… Instead of $200,000?” Starlet asked rather confused.
” That was what we agreed to pay right?” Camilla asks as the signed document was given to Starlet by the lawyer to go through.
“It was written on the document you signed on… Starlet”
Starlet stands in shock and stares at Camilla who smiles.
“And it also states that you will have to leave the house immediately… The money is given to you… And moreover… You are not taking anything with you!” Camilla added.
“What??” Alicia gasps as she also reads the document.
“Yeah… So… I guess… You have to leave now!!” Camilla finally concluded.
” But… It’s already late… And the weather has already gone bad… How do you expect us to just leave like that??” Starlet said in a pleading state.
” I think that is non of my business right now… Give me the keys…” Camilla uttered stretching her hand.
Starlet helplessly hands over the key to her and moped. Two men walks forward pointing their hand in the direction of the exit gate.
“You can now leave…”
Camilla walks back to the car while the back door is being opened for her. She watches as they leave before the car zooms off from the house.

The rain has finally reached the earth as Starlet and Alicia walks down the road.
“Where are we going?” Alicia asks as the rain caused her to shiver as it soaked her clothes.
“What do you think we would do… Uh? $20,000 is not money!! If it was then… It wouldn’t even buy me a designers bag nor my shoe…” Starlet bragged again.
Alicia squeezes herself together as the cold was severe, she hugged herself so tightly.
“Starlet… I’m already getting tired and cold… My body has gone numb…!”
” Dear squeaky baby… You’re not the only one under the rain… We should hurry up and get to a shade and stay until the rain is over, then we can think in where to start from… Now will you stop whimpering like a daycare baby?”

At The Picnic
” Mummy!!” Kiara runs out of her hiding place to meet her mother who embraces her in a hug.
Both were playing hide and seek at the picnic.
“You couldn’t find me!!” Kiara giggles happily jumping around.
She stops jumping and stares at her mom. She pulls out a flower from her pocket and hands it over to her mother who receives it happily while perceiving the fragrance emitting from it.
She paused as something flashed on her mind.
“Where did you get this flower from?” Camilla asks looking straight into her daughter’s eyes.
“From… From… From the…” Kiara stammers nibbling with her finger in fear.
“From where??” Camilla asks again getting angry.
” From the garden…” Kiara said looking down.
Camilla stares at her daughter lifting her chin up.
“When did you learn to start lying to me… Kiara? Now tell me the truth… Who gave you the flower??”
Kiara points at a man standing afar from them, she doesn’t like it when her mom yells at her.
“Him!”
Camilla looks in the direction where Kiara was pointing out to. She squint her eyes to a glare as she sees him to be Jason.
Standing up quickly, she briskly walks over to him.
“How dâre you!!” She muttered under her breath.
Jason is surprised at her her angry outburst, he looks at Kiara who hid somewhere.
“It’s all because of you…! That my daughter had to lie to me for the first time!!” She yells at him.
” I’m sorry…”
” So if she was actually your daughter… Is it how you’re gonna teach her how to lie?”
” I’m sorry… It wouldn’t happen again…” Jason apologized.
” Really??” Camilla scoffs insolently, folding her hand.
“Why do you keep on following me like a pest… I warned you to stay away from me… How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not Roseanna and you should stop mistaking me for her…?”
Kiara slowly walks over to her mother and held her hand.
“Mummy please don’t be angry with him… He is my friend… Don’t shout at him please…” Kiara pleaded.
” What??” Camilla ask as she looked her daughter and them to Jason.
“So finally got your way in bribîng my daughter… Now… Let me warn you” Camilla said pointing her index finger at him.
“Don’t you dare come close to Kiara… Don’t come close to my daughter… Stay away from our daughter!!” Camilla screams not knowing when she uttered her last sentence.
She grabbed Kiara from her hand and seem to walk away.
” Our daughter…?” Jason asks surprised, putting Camilla to a stop.
“Are you Roseanna?… And is Kiara actually our daughter…”

Chapter 70

Continuation from the last chapter;
“You told me that I am the reason your daughter lied to your face for the first time… And I admitted to it. Now you have to say the truth in front of her…” He took a deep breathe, looking straight into her eyes.
“Are you Roseanna… And is Kiara also our daughter??”
Camilla stares at him and gulped in hardly, tears filled her eyes as she looks at her daughter who looks back at her mother, requiring an answer from her too.
“Your daughter also needs an answer from you… Camilla… Or would you rather lie to her own face??” Jason asked.
Camilla curled her lips inward as she bit it hard. She couldn’t help but let the tears flow freely.
“Yes…” She mumbled her words.
Jason sighs, still looking at her.
“Then why did you lie to me all this while?”
Camilla shut her eyes close as the hot tears rolled down her cheeks.
“Why??” Jason asks again.
“I had to!… I just had to… And even if I am Roseanna and Kiara is our daughter… That doesn’t change the fact that you didn’t like me… You even requested that I should be moved far away from your sight… You…” Camilla sniffs as she became emotional.
“You didn’t want to see your baby… You didn’t care about me… Even when the whole truth was said in front of you!!” Camilla says in a teary voice.
” I did… I did Roseanna!” Jason uttered not knowing when tears pool around the corner of his eyes and dropping down.
Kiara looks at both Camilla and Jason not understanding what was going on. She still held her mother’s hand firmly.
“You didn’t!!” Camilla screams not believing him a bit.
“He did… Roseanna” Kalila uttered stepping in to where they were.
“You know I wouldn’t lie to you… I had supported you both relationship for a long time and got angry with Jason after what had happened to you… I would have even turned him back…” She took a deep breathe and walks nearer to where they were.
“Everything happened so quick… From your unconsciousness, your ábduction… Everything! Jason was really bothered and did his best to be of help… He was deeply worried and was never at rest” Kalila said sniffing.
” Roseanna… I understand that you went through pain and that caused your misunderstanding … Finally he met you but you broke his heart by denying not ever knowing him… What more could he do to prove that he actually loved you…?”. Diana says as she also step in.
” Then why did he take me out of the city, making sure he didn’t set his eyes on me again… He hated me!”
” No he didn’t… He never did… It was all Starlet plan, she wanted to put an end to the relationship”
Camilla looks at Jason, she could feed the pain he was feeling at that moment.
“I’m sorry you misunderstood everything…” Kalila said.
Jason walks closer to Camilla who also walked closer to him.
“I’m sorry for everything…” Jason pulling for a hug.
Camilla reciprocated the hug and embraces him so tightly.
“I’m… Sorry for misunderstanding you.. Kiara is our daughter… She is our child…”
Camilla broke off from the hug as Kiara runs and meet her parents. Jason caught her and lifted her up.
“Kiara…”
“Father!!”

“Hey give me my money… I won!!” Starlet says to the gámbler in charge.
“No… You have to play again to be sure you’re won… If you have actually won!!”
” But I won few minutes ago and I don’t have money to play again…” Starlet pleaded.
” You? I saw you with enough money today… Where did you get all of them from uh?”
The duo were still talking when the police came.
“She’s the one… She stole my money!! A woman says pointing at Starlet.
The whole gámblers runs including the owner leaving only Starlet who is left to face the police.
Other police went in hot chase to find the others.
“You’re under arrest for theft…” The Police said holding Starlet.
” I didn’t steal anything, tell them to give me my money!!” Starlet muttered.
” Ohh… You’re also under arrest for gâmblîng…” The police took out a handcuff case and drag her towards the police van with other caught gâmblers.

{Court House Proceedings}
The courtroom is full of people. There are murmurs coming all over the room.
Case is going on against Starlet who is handcuffed for âbduction, theft and gâmblîng.
The judge has taken his seat while the proceeding follows.
“Members of the jury, your duty today will be determined whether the accused is guilty or not guilty based on facts and evidence provided it is abiding by the law of the nation.
There are arguments between lawyers, witnesses and evidence as the judge asks some questions.
“This is an appeal in proceedings under the 1980 Hague convention on the civil aspect that Starlet Jefferson has been accused and is guilty…”
“This sentencing will serve as a deterrent to others” the judge held.
” Therefore you are hereby sentenced to a eight years jail term for âbduction of Miss Camilla Carvers when pregnant and for gâmblîng and theft”

Wedding Bells
The whole church is filled with capacity of people who are present to witness the union of Jason and Camilla, the two top billionaires.
Jason walks in wearing a blue suit, as black bow tie and a black shoe to match. His hair is arranged making him super handsome. He waits together with other family members for Camilla who is to walk down the aisle.
Nicole, Charles and Bryan too to the front to meet him.
Kalila, Diana, Lea, Elizabeth walks dressed in gold to stand with them all turning to see when Camilla walks in.
Camilla grandparents too were present as they have been brought over requested by Camilla, they were smiling happily for a life being fulfilled.
Kiara dressed in a baby doll white feathered gown, holds a flower and walks down the aisle alone smiling and giggling with a little boy following suit.
Bells ring as the church door is drawn completely opened showing Camilla at the door dressed in a white lace off shoulder wedding gown. She gracefully walks in with her father, Brandon with all smiles holding a flower.
The whole congregations stood up, clapping as she walked down.

Exchange of Vows
“Do you, Jason take Camilla to be your wife from this day onwards
“I, Jason, promise you that I will be your husband from this day forward, to be faithful and honest in every way and trust you place in me. To love and to respect you in your success and in your failure, to make you laugh and to be there when you cry, in sickness and in health and to be true to you in all things until death do us part…”
” I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken today on our wedding… This ring is a token of my Love for you…”

Few Years Later
Camilla drops off Kiara at school and returned back to the car where Jason was already seated waiting for her.
She climbed up the passenger seat carefully and sat down rubbing her protruded stomach as she was pregnant for their second child.
Jason starts the ignition and drives out while Camilla stares at the window smiling.
” Life is all about ups and downs, even in love which never dies. We love life not because we are used to living but we are used to be loving not denying that there are sometimes madness, happiness, sadness, misunderstanding and total trust in love… I’ve learned from what life has given me;
… Life goes on….
