UNKNOWN ADDRESS

“You called for me?” A boy said walking into the study an older man was.

“Tell me what this is about?” The older man said showing him some pictures of Chloe going into M&M academy.

“This is impossible….I did what you ask me to do” the boy said.

“But you didn’t do your job well enough cause she’s still alive” the older man replied.

“But I made sure she was…..I did it right” the boy said again starring at the pictures.

“You didn’t do it right. You never do anything right and that’s why I haven’t let you in on the organization yet! Just for you to get rid of a trouble some girl like, it’s freaking hard !” The older man yelled.

“Am sorry, I will try to fix things” the boy replied.

“Do fix it and if you fail at getting rid of her this time, you can forget about being the leader of the organization” the older man yelled at the boy who nodded in reply.

FEW HOURS BEFORE CHLOE’S FALL

As soon as the car stopped in the school parking lot, Stephanie got out of the car while Chloe took her time before getting out too.

Well after yesterday show, Stephanie have been dumb. She didn’t say any thing to her when they arrived home after her visit to Leo and Bryan’s home and Chloe was expecting her to tell her to leave the car but instead she said nothing.

Seems like she knows her place now, Chloe thought a smile appearing on her face even as she climb the stairs which got her into the school building.

She noticed some students standing in front of the notice board and on seeing Pearl and Judy there, she quickly went to join them.

“What’s going on?” Chloe asked.

“The sports festival is here again” Pearl replied in excitement.

“More like the most trouble some day is here” Judy stated sighing in frustration.

“Don’t listen to Judy, she finds the sports day hectic but it’s very much fun. We will be assigned to different houses and participate in events just to get a winner. You’ve always participate in the women marathon, will you also participate this year too?” Pearl asked.

“Uh? ”

“The marathon, you will be participating this year too right?” Pearl asked again but it was Judy who saved her from giving a reply.

“Give her a break, Valerie just came back after two months of being gone and you want her to participate in a stupid marathon. It’s a no no” Judy said while Chole let out a relieved sigh.

Chloe had only thought that by pretending to be Valerie is all that is required of her but what she didn’t think of is that they are things that Valerie can do which she can’t do and one of it is the marathon.

“What about Mira?” Chloe asked changing the subject.

“Mira has been acting strange ever since our lunch time at the cafeteria yesterday” Pearl said.

“Maybe those Jerks who came to join us for lunch said some thing to her” Judy added.

“But any way, She called this morning to tell me that she will be coming to school late” Pearl added.

“That’s good then” Chloe replied and just then she got a text.

★ SO YOU MANAGED TO SURVIVE THAT NIGHT ★ Chloe read from the message which came from an unknown number.

★ DEATH WILL COME KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR AGAIN AND THIS TIME I WILL MAKE SURE I FINISH THE JOB PROPERLY ★ she read another of the unknown text.

★ WHERE EXACTLY ARE YOU? I KNOW YOU ARE A STUDENT HERE★ Chloe sent the text now and waited for his reply even as Pearl and Judy kept on chatting.

★ COME TO THE SCHOOL HALL, I MIGHT LET YOU SEE ME FOR A WHILE★ Chloe read the message he sent again.

“Girls, I need to use the rest room. I will be back soon” Chloe said as she quickly excused herself heading to the school hall.

Whoever killed Valerie will certainly be at the school hall waiting for her.

She got to the hall only to find no one there.

Could it have been a prank, she thought rereading the messages when she heard some one foot step outside.

Immediately Chloe left the hall and went after whoever it was, she made a turn only to find no one there.

“Where is he?” She murmured taking in deep breaths.

She was standing by the stair case wondering where he was when suddenly some one pushed her.

Chloe rolled down the stairs groaning in pain when she hit her arm on the floor.

She felt dizzy and was slowly losing conciousness and the last thing she saw before shutting her eyes was Bryan running towards her.

SCHOOL INFIRMARY

Chloe opened her eyes only to find herself in a room.

She could hear some one talking and when she tried to sit up, she winced at the pain she felt on her arm.

“Stay still or you will worsen the pain” Bryan voice drifted to her.

“What happen?” She asked.

“You fell down the stairs, I don’t know how it happen but you should thank your lucky stars that I was around at that moment” He said bragging.

“Whatever. What about my friends?” Chloe asked.

“They were here up till a while ago but they went home and that was because I told them I will stay with you” Bryan replied.

“Home? How long have I been unconscious?” She asked.

“For about seven hours” Bryan replied which got her sitting up no matter how much her arm pain her.

“Stephanie must be waiting for me, I need to get home” Chloe said getting out of the bed.

“I doubt if she will be waiting” Bryan replied.

“She wouldn’t dare leave” Chloe said with fierce determination while Bryan watched her with intense curiousity

“You aren’t scared of Stephanie and her gangs anymore” he asked.

“What’s there to be scared of when they are nothing but sissy’s” Chloe replied as she finished putting on her shoe.

She picked up her bag and left the infirmary.

All through her way to the parking lot, she kept thinking about the person who sent her the message, could it have been him who pushed her down the stairs?

She was still trying to figure it out when she noticed the car gone.

“This bitch really took off with the car” Chloe thought pulling out her phone to call Stephanie when a loud sound of a motor bike got her stopping the call.

The motor bike stopped in front of her and when the rider pulled off his helmet she was surprised to see Bryan.

“Wow, this is a beauty” Chloe said starring at his bike.

“Really? Then you must be suffering from Amnesia cause the Valerie I know will never say that about my bike” Bryan replied.

“Whatever” she retorted clutching her injured arm.

“I told you Stephanie would be long gone” He added again.

“You did and I didn’t listen and so you might as well go your way while I do the same” she half yelled and turned only for him to call her back.

“Get on, I will take you home” he replied.

“Really?” Chloe eyes lit up with excitement.

She has always wondered how it will feel to ride a motor bike and that’s gonna happen now.

She quickly pick up the helmet missing the strange look Bryan sent her way even as she got on the bike.

“Hold on tight, it’s gonna be a long ride” he said and immediately she wrap her one good arm around his waist even as he drove them out of the school.

RESTAURANT

It wasn’t until he stopped in front of the restaurant that she realized that he wasn’t taking her home.

“Why are we here?” She asked getting off the bike while he followed suit.

“To eat,I spent the afternoon watching after you at the infirmary that I skipped my lunch ” he replied walking into the cafeteria while she followed him.

“I haven’t been able to thank you for helping me, whatever you buy will be on me” Chloe replied pulling out her wallet only to see that the money there isn’t enough.

“What? Don’t you have enough money?” Bryan asked.

“I didn’t carry enough money with me” Chloe replied putting her wallet into her back pack.

“Just admit that you don’t wanna pay me back but whatever, It will be my treat, poor girl” he mocked even as he ordered ice cream for them both.

“You said you skipped lunch and this is what you are willing to eat?” Chloe asked starring at the mint ice cream in front of them.

“It is, I enjoy having ice cream especially this flavour” Bryan replied spooning the ice cream.

“Whatever” she murmured before taking her spoon to eat her ice cream and once again she missed the strange look Bryan had on his face.

“Aren’t you eating?” She asked when he put down his spoon.

“Am not that……” He stopped when he suddenly got a call.

He picked up his phone to check the caller only to stare at Chloe who was busy with her ice cream.

He stared at the caller again and then at Chloe and slowly he answered the call.

But when he was about to speak, the call got cut.

“What? Is that one of your girlfriends calling?” Chloe asked and that got him starring at her.

He stared at her for a quite some time that she began feeling uncomfortable.

“What? Is some thing on my face?” She asked.

“No, I just think you look lovely” Bryan said which got her chuckling.

“That’s a old line and you’ve got to come up with some thing new to get my attention which you will never get in years to come and besides, I think it’s time you stop this crazy act of yours, I know you aren’t into me. People might start getting the wrong idea ” she said.

“Why? Are you worried about Leo” he asked.

“I don’t give a damn about what Leo thinks, I just want a quiet life which I hope you will grant by leaving me alone. You and Leo” Chloe let out fiercely.

“So what you are saying now is that you feel nothing for Leo?” Bryan asked while she snorted in disgust.

“I stopped feeling any thing for him long ago and…..” She stopped when she got a call.

“It’s from mom, you need to take me home now or should I just take the bus?” She asked.

“No, I will take you home just like I promised” he replied getting out of his seat while she followed suit.

After paying for the ice cream they hardly touched they both left the restaurant.

NEXT DAY~ M&M ACADEMY

Chloe was heading to her next class when she got a text from Bryan.

★ MEET AT THE SCHOOL ROOF TOP, HAVE GOT SOME THING TO TELL YOU★

What’s with him? She thought as she took the stairs which led her to the roof top.

She found him seating on the empty bench there sipping a can of cola.

“What is it? I have a class soon” she said on getting there.

“Have a seat and join me” Bryan suggested.

“You aren’t deaf, I told you that I…..”

“I heard you perfectly and so don’t you address me as deaf again” he said now looking angry.

“Fine, what do you have to say?” She asked.

“It’s about a puzzle am trying to solve” he said while she rolled her eyes at him.

“What sort of puzzle?” She asked even as he got off the bench, walking towards her.

“It’s about a girl, a girl who is pretending to be some thing she isn’t” he said now standing in front of her.

On hearing that Chloe looked away from him nervously while she gulp down an imaginary spit.

“Then I hope you get to solve that puzzle cause I won’t be able to help you with it, have got a class to attend” Chloe told him even as she turn around to leave.

“You aren’t the real Valerie right?” He asked making her freeze where she stood.

Slowly he got to where she was and stood in front of her.

“Who exactly are you?” He asked which got Chloe dropping her phone in shock….
