“Mom I really enjoyed myself today,Uncle Bryan is a very nice person and a funny person to be with”
Princess sounded with smiles as she ate her noodles.

“Yeah! He is a nice person”
Pearl said with smiles.

“Mom did you think wishes come to pass?
She asked with smiles.

“For sure,all wishes come to pass especially children wish always come to pass”
She said not having any idea why her daughter asked about wishes.

She shouted excitedly,
“Wow! I will now make my wish”

“What wish did you want to make my dear?

“Mom I wish to have Uncle Bryan as my Daddy,he is so nice and caring”
She shouted excitedly and her wish really shocked Pearl.

“Why did you wish such?
She asked with her eyes wide opened.

“Mom I just said he is kind and caring and he will be a loving Daddy to me”
She sounded happily.

“Princess you don’t have to wish such thing okay”
She sounded.

“But why Mom?

“Bryan is our neighbor and nothing more”

“Mom Uncle Bryan is more than a neighbor to me,I like him and I want him to be my father”

“He can’t be your father beside such wish can never come to pass”

“But Mom you said that all children’s wish always come to pass then why won’t this mine come to pass or don’t you like him enough to make him my Daddy?
She asked.

“What such of question is that?
She sounded.

“Mom I know how you and Uncle Bryan used to stares at each other and I know he loves you,did you love him too?
She asked.

“Oh my goodness! I can’t believe this kid,Princess you are too tender to talk about such thing what you should consider now is your book and not talking about who love each other”
She sounded,she couldn’t believe her daughter is talking about such thing to her.

“Mom I know you love him please don’t make things difficult for me to have him as my Daddy”
She said.

“Princess enough of this silly talk of yours,finish up your food let’s go to bed”
She said.

Pearl couldn’t stop thinking about her daughter’s wish,she thought how Princess will wish such thing and the one that surprised her the most is when she said her mother loves Bryan.

Bryan’s sister asked.

📞 Am good,how is things going on the company?

📞 Everything is moving well,we won a contract worth of ten million naira and without Gabriel I don’t think if we can be able to achieve that,he is doing amazing work at the company”
She sounded excitedly.

Bryan shouted happily,

She sounded.

She sounded with smiles.

He laughed and said,
📞You know what Sis meeting them is the happiest thing that has ever happened to me,they are caring, loving and fun to be with”
He talked about them for over twenty minutes without stopping with so much happiness.

📞 Wow Bro you are in love with this lady,it is all written in that voice of yours,did you know you literally talked about them over thirty minutes? Oh my God! this is love”
She sounded happily.

He laughed and said,
📞 You are mistaking Sis,it can’t be love Is only likeness and nothing more”

He said and ended the call.

“In love with her!
He said with smiles.

“It can’t be love, Mirabel don’t know what she is saying”
He thought and slept off.

Pearl came back from work early feeling so excited,her heart was filled with so much joy,she knocked on Bryan’s door.

“I can’t wait to share this good news to him”
She sounded happily and knocked on the door again.

“Who is there? Hold on am coming”
He answered and went to get the door.

He opened the door,Pearl rushed and hugged him without so much joy.

“We won the contract!
She shouted happily.

“Wow! Congratulations!
He shouted being happy for her.

“All thanks to you Bryan our company won a contract worth of twenty million naira”
She shouted.

“Am so happy for you Pearl,I can now name my want”
He said.

“For sure name anything I will give it to you”
She shouted still rejoicing.

“Okay!
He thought for a while and said,
“I want you to prepare dinner for me tonight”

She sighed and said,
“Just that! I thought you gonna mention something that will be hærd for me to do,what’s cooking self?
She went and sat down.

Bryan laughed and said,
“Oh you are saying that? you know what I don’t want to stress you I could have demand something that will be more stressful to you but don’t worry next time I will show you pepper on my want”

She bursted out laughing,
“That will be the other way around because I will be the one that will show you that pepper by demanding something so hærd from you”

“Okay let see how it goes then but as for now let toast for the winning”
He said and brought a bottle of wine with two glasses,he poured the drink as they toast.

“More winning to you and to your company”
Bryan said as they cheered 🥂

Pearl said as they cheered 🥂

They drink and talked before Pearl left his house to pick Princess from the school.

At Princess’s school during break time her two friends Esther and Jenny came to talk to her about their upcoming competition on debate between the upper class and the lower class.

“Hey Princess how are you preparing for the competition?
Jenny asked.

“If I should I rate my preparation I will say hundred percent,you know me I don’t joke with competition especially when it comes to debate competition”
She said as she took a bite of her chocolate biscuit.

“That’s good to hear,you know our parents will be present on that day to watch us I hope your parents will come?
Jenny asked.

“For sure,you know my parents are always available when their present are needed at the school”
She said.

“Jenny didn’t mean your mother rather your father”
Esther said.

“Yes,will your father come to the competition?
Jenny asked.

“What will I tell them now?
She thought and said to them with smiles.
“For sure,he will come”

“But I thought you said your mother is your father ?
Jenny and Esther asked.

“Yes,I remembered I said that but my Mom has introduced me to my father so you two will get to see him on that day”
She said with smiles.

“Okay,we can’t wait to your father then”
They said.

Few minutes later,they ranged the bell for break over,the pupils rushed back to their classes.

“Good afternoon Mom!
Princess greeted with a hug.

“Afternoon my Angel,how was school today?

“School was good today”
She answered as they got to the car and drove out.

“Mom you know our debate competition is coming up soon”
She said.

“Yes I know that Princess and am hundred percent sure that you will bring the gold 🏅 medal back home again”
She said being so proud of her daughter.

“Mom,you know parents that’s fathers will be coming on that day and my friends will be bringing their Daddies too”
She said.

“Princess where is this discussion pointing to?
She asked.

“Mom I know I don’t know my father and I don’t care to know him neither but I was thinking if you can talk to Uncle Bryan to pretend to be my Dad on that day”
She said.

“What! What did you just say? Am not gonna do that Princess”
She shouted.

“Please Mom,I have already told my friends that I will be introducing Dad to them on that day and if I didn’t bring my Dad they will laugh and mock at me and even call me a Dad_less child because they thought that my Dad is late,please Mom you have to help me out if you don’t want your precious daughter to be mock and call names by her friends”
She pleaded with her hands folded.

Pearl thought about it as Princess keep on pleading for her help,
“Okay but pray for Bryan to accept this”

“Thank you Mom,you are the best Mom in the whole world”
She hugged her and gave her a thousand of k×sses forgetting they are on the road.

“Am on the steering Princess”
She shouted as Princess left go of her.

“I know Uncle Bryan will accept to help me,he will not turn me down”
She said excitedly.

“Just pray he will help and stop believing”

Later in the day,Pearl went to see Bryan to talk to him while Princess stayed behind.

“What of my Princess? She is not here with you”
Bryan asked.

“She had a lot of school work to do that’s why,I need to talk to you”

“I hope there’s no problem?

“Not at all”

“Okay,come in”
She went in,side as they sat down on the couch.

“I want to talk to you about Princess”

“What happen to her? Is she okay?
He asked confusingly.

“Yes she is okay,her school is holding a debate competition and it is coming up next week,I was thinking if you can help her out by pretending to be her father on that day her friends really want to meet her dad but due to some circumstances it won’t happen that’s why she suggested for your help”
She said and hoping for him to say yes to her.

Bryan didn’t hesitate before accepting to be her Dad,
“Princess is a lovely child so I will be willing to help her”

“Thank you so much Bryan I really appreciate this favour”
She thanked him with smiles.

“But if I may ask Pearl what happen to her father?

“I don’t think if am ready to talk to him about him right now let me go and tell Princess about this she will be so excited to hear this”
She said.

“Okay tell Princess that I will come later and see her”
He said and see her off to the door.

She smiled and said,
“Okay Bryan”

Bryan watches her as she entered to her apartment.

“Mom what did Uncle Bryan said? Did he said yes?
Princess asked at the moment her mother stepped in,side.

“What did your instincts tells you?

“My instincts tells me that he accepted to be my Dad”

“That means your instincts didn’t lie to you,he accepted”
She sounded with smiles.

Princess hugged her and said,
“Thank you Mom! I will now show my friends that I have a Dad not only them that got a Dad”

The day of the competition approached,it was indeed a busy day for Rock Kids Academy,Princess was so happy to be in the school with her Daddy,she met her friends and introduced them to him.

“Jenny,Esther meet my Dad”
She introduced with smiles.

“Good Morning Sir,we are happy to meet you now we know that our friend have a father”
They both said.

“I have not been around that’s why I have not be coming for the school activities,it’s nice to meet my daughter’s friends”
He said to them with smiles.

“Let’s go in,side Dad”
She said with smiles and held his hand as they walked in,side the hall.

Twenty minutes later,the competition began it was so interesting to watch the kids purposing and opposing on the topic that says Private School Is Better Than Government School,the debate lastest for twenty-five minutes and Princess’s team won the competition,the quiz began and lastest for twenty minutes.

Princess’s team won a trophy and she also won a golden 🏅 medal as the over run winner of the quiz,the moment they announced her as the winner Bryan,Pearl and Anne rushed out on the stage and gave her a hug.

“Am so proud of you my Angel”
Pearl said and k×ssed her on the forehead.

“Congratulations Princess,you deserve it”
Bryan said and hugged her.

“Am so proud of you Princess”
Anne pecked on the cheek.

Pictures were taking as the school celebrated for the winning.
