AUTHORESS P.O.V

“What did you want from me?” Steve asked angrily.

“Calm down!” Dora replied with a smile and sat on her car bonnet.

“Let’s work together,” Dora said with a smile. “Are you okay?” Steve asked angrily.

“I’m perfectly okay my dear” Dora replied.

“Who are you and what are you talking about?” Steve asked.

“Alright I’ll introduce myself, I’m Dora Rowen’s girlfriend” Dora replied.

“Who’s Rowen?”Steve asked.

“Don’t tell me you don’t know the guy that’s dragging your woman with you?, Anyway Rowen is your worst enèmy, we can work together, and at the end of the day, I’ll have Rowen and you will also have your woman?” Dora said with a smile.

“I don’t need your help, let today be the first and last time you’ll ever stop me, I’ll get Emma and I don’t need your f×¢king help, work on getting your man alone,” Steve said and Dora burst into laughter.

“You’ll come back to me, I bet you, you’ll come begging, and by that time it will be too late,” Dora said.

“Can you take your car out of the road now!” Steve yelled.

“I’ll go, but just have it in mind that you’ll come back to me,” Dora said and walked to her car.

She get into her car and drove off, not without giving Steve her middle finger.

“What’s the meaning of all this? Did she knows about my plans?” Steve asked himself and roughing his hair angrily.

“No it can’t be, she can’t know about my plan,” Steve said and get into his car before driving off.

Stanley drove his car to the compound and rushed to open the car door for Emma.

“Thank you!” Emma said with a smile.

“You’re welcome my lady” Stanley replied with a smile.

“Your parent’s house is beautiful,” Emma said. “Yes I know right!” Stanley replied and they both walked to the house.

“Hey man!” Stanley’s brother Roger greet. “you’re here!” Stanley replied surprised to see him.

“I don’t want to, mum forced me to come” Roger replied.

“Hi!” Emma greets with a smile.

“Oh my goodness! Emma Maxwell, am I seeing clearly?” Roger asked rubbing his eyes with his palm.

“yes you’re seeing clearly” Emma replied.

“Oh my f×¢king god, I’m seeing Emma Maxwell right and direct” Roger said and Emma smiled at him.

“Can I hug you?” Roger asked happily.

“Sure you can!” Emma replied and Roger hugged her happily.

“It’s good to have you here, you are very beautiful for real!” Roger said.

“Thanks very much” Emma replied.

“He’s so funny” Emma whispered to Stanley. “No, he’s not, he’s doing all this because he likes you” Stanley replied.

“Oh!” Emma replied.

“Yes, he’s an introvert!” Stanley said.

“I’ll really like to model your wears, I’ve been trying to reach you, but your manager didn’t let me,” Roger said.

“Oh, see me in my office on Monday, let me see what you got, but I’m very sure you’ll get the job,” Emma said with a wink.

“Oh my goodness, Miss Maxwell I’m freaking happy!” Roger said.

“Miss Maxwell!” Mrs. Wilson said and rushed out of her room.

“Oh my goodness, Emma Maxwell!” Mrs. Wilson said happily and engulfed her in a tight hug.

“I’m very sorry for hugging you that tight” Mrs. Wilson said and disengage from the hug immediately.

“There’s no problem ma, you’re very beautiful ma,” Emma said.

“Oh my goodness, Stanley has never compliment my look before,” Mrs. Wilson said dramatically.

EMMA P.O.V

I find the Wilson family sweet and attractive, imagine Mrs. Wilson hugging me, forgetting they’re richer than I’m.

“Come and have your seat,” Mrs. Wilson said happily.

“Why did you allow her to stand?” She faced Stanley and he scratched the back of his head nervously.

“I was the one that decided to stand ma” I replied and she smiled at me.

“You’re beautiful my dear, I’ve heard a lot about you,” Mrs. Wilson said and I just smile at her, I suddenly become shy I don’t know what next to say, a whole Emma Maxwell.

“How are your parents?” She asked with a smile.

“They’re good!” I replied her with a smile.

“I’m glad my son choose someone like you,” she said with a smile.

“The dinner is ready!” One of the maids said, ask me why I knew she’s one of the maids, that was because she’s putting on a uniform.

“Emma, dinner is ready, let’s go to the dining,” Mrs. Wilson said.

“My friend and her daughter will soon be here,” Mrs. Wilson said.

“I thought I and Dad, have already spoken about this” Stanley said.

“Yeah, he told me, but I insist they come because I don’t trust you” Mrs. Wilson replied.

“So what are you going to do about it now?” Stanley asked.

” Don’t worry she’s my friend, I’ll pledge with her when she comes here!” Mrs. Wilson replied.

“Better!” Stanley replied. “Beautiful lady let’s go to the dining, they’ll join us later,” Mrs. Maxwell said. And we all walked to the dining room. “She’s beautiful!” Mrs. Wilson said looking at my eyes again.

“Mum, can we eat now?” Stanley asked.

“I’m not stopping you” Mrs. Wilson replied with an eye roll.

“You’re making her feel uncomfortable,” Stanley said.

“Really? I didn’t know she’s the shy type” Mrs. Wilson said with a smile and I bite back a laugh, she wasn’t informed.

She didn’t know I’m not comfortable here, because I need to behave and compose like a good fiance.

“I’m sorry for making you feel uncomfortable,” she said playing with my hair.

“You aren’t making me feel uncomfortable ma” I replied with a smile.

“I think Dad is back, that husband of yours is back,” Roger said grumpily and stood up from the chair, he walked to the window and nod his head.

“I said it, he better don’t spoil my mood,” Roger said and walked back to the chair.

“let’s wait for him,” Mrs. Wilson said with a smile.

“Where’s my darling,” Mr. Wilson asked immediately he stepped foot in,side the house. “I’m here love” Mrs. Wilson replied and rushed to hug him.

Okay this couple makes me remember my parents, I thought my parents are the only old couples that played like kids, I missed them though.

“I missed you!” Mrs. Wilson said and I opened my mouth in shock.

This woman isn’t different from my mother. “I missed you more, your children are finally here,” Mr. Wilson said.

“Yes Stanley came with his fiance” Mrs. Wilson replied and point to the dining table.

“Oh my goodness, Emma Maxwell, is she truly the one?” Mr. Wilson asked and Stanley has this annoying and proud smirk on his face.

“Yes good evening Mr. Wilson” I greet with a smirk.

“My pleasure to meet an hærdworking and independent lady like you” Mr. Wilson.

“My pleasure to also meet you” I replied to him with a smile.

“So you’re Stanley’s fiance?” He asked and I nod my head in reply.

“I’m sorry for asking, but how long have you guys been dating?” Mr. Wilson asked.

“Six months sir” I replied with a smile.

“Wow Stanley made me proud today” Mr. Wilson replied.

“Common son, come and give Dad a hug!” Mr. Wilson said and Stanley walked to his side.

“Now you have done what I want,” Mr. Wilson said with a smile.

“I’ve suddenly become invisible,” Stable brother said and pick a folk from the tray.

“You’re invisible before, Roger did you think you’re visible?” Mr. Wilson asked with a smirk.

“Whatever!” Roger replied.

“Let’s eat like family!” Mr. Wilson said.

“My friend is here,” Mrs. Wilson said with a smile.

An old lady walked in,side the house with a lady of my age.

“Vera!” Stanley called and stood up from his chair.

“Matthew!” The lady hissed out loud before runnings out of the house and Stanley run after her.

I’m confused as hèll.

“Did they know each other?” The old lady asks. “Yes they did, they’re friends from high school” Stanley’s brother replied.

“Don’t tell me your son was the one my daughter told me about, I don’t think this will work” the old lady said and also walked out. “Flora!” Mrs Wilson called and tried to stand up. “Honey sit down, Stanley have already ran after her daughter” Mr Wilson said.

“But she’s my friend, at least I should be able to tell her sorry” Mrs Wilson said.

“you’ll tell her some other time” Mr Wilson said.

Okay, I need to pretend like I’m also angry, I’ll use the opportunity to go back to Rowen.

“I’ll get going now!” I said trying hærd to sound angry. “But why my dear?” Mrs. Wilson asked.

“Something came up ma, I’ll come back some other time” I replied and picked up my purse.

Stanley rushed back in,side the house and breathe out heavily.

“Babe, what happened?” Stanley asked.

“Are you asking me that question right now?” I asked.

“I’m sorry it’s now what you think” he replied. “it’s what!” I replied and faced his parents.

“Mr. and Mrs. Wilson good day, I’ll see you guys some other time,” I said.

“What about me?” Stanley’s brother asked.

“I’ll be expecting you in my office” I replied and walked out and Stanley worked after me.

“Did you catch up with her?” I asked immediately we get outside.

“No, I didn’t let me drop you off!” Stanley said. “Alright, you’ll drop me off at my boyfriend’s place,” I said.

“No problem let’s go!” He replied.

“I can help you talk to her if you want,” I said with a smile.

“Are you for real?” He asked and look into my eyes immediately.

“Do I look like I’m joking?” I asked.

“Thank you very much!” He replied with a smile.

“Are you sure you don’t love her?” I asked. “Sure I didn’t, I don’t just like it when she gets angry at me” he replied and I clear my throat.

“That’s love man, you’re f×¢king in love with her, you’re just a confused soul” I replied.

“Confused soul!” He said with a frown.

AUTHORESS P.O.V

“Hey, your dinner is ready!” Austin said.

“I’m not interested!” Rowen replied.

“Hey don’t tell me, that girl is gradually stealing you away from me, number one you didn’t cook dinner today, I’ve never cooked before in this house because you won’t let me do it, and secondly you refuse to eat my food,” Austin said.

“I’m sorry, I’ll eat later!” Rowen replied staring at Emma’s picture on his phone screen.

He secretly snapped her when she was sleeping yesterday and made it his screensaver.

“I’m your wife, you should be thinking about me not her,” Austin said.

“can you say something more reasonable please” rowen replied.

“Okay, let’s be serious here, that girl loves you, but she doesn’t wanna accept it because of her past, give her some time” Austin said and Rowen’s phone rang out loud.

“She’s calling,” Rowen said and pick up the call immediately.

“Hello, I’m outside your apartment, should I come in,side, or you’ll come pick me up outside?” Emma asked.

“I’ll be right there!” Rowen replied and end the call and Austin clear his throat. “Îdiot!” Rowen said and rushed out of the house.

“Thanks for today!” Stanley said and also come down from his car Rowen came out and their eyes met.

“fck!” Rowen muttered. “Rowen!” Stanley called.
