Jackson sat on the floor staring at Kylie as she walked away with Jasper.

He could imagine her red eyes in his mind.
“No, Kylie can’t be a vampire” he said and stood up.

Cindy helped him and took him to store room.
“I saw her eyes. They were red. She is a vampire”

Cindy didn’t know how to tell her brother that Kylie is a demigod.
She doesn’t know how he would feel.

“I don’t know what I just saw Cindy. It was different, her eyes colour is different from ours. She.. arghhh” he gr0-ned.

“Just calm down Jackson”

“How can I?!! She just humiliated me, again! I’ll make sure I make her life a living hell. I’ve given up on her” he said and walked out of the room.

Cindy slapped her forehead and sat on a brown box.
“What do I do now? I should talk to her first. I should figure it out myself before doing anything” she nodded.

After the nurse has taken care of Jasper, she told them that they were free to leave but Jasper was to lazy to stand.

“You didn’t have to do that, you could expose your powers” he said to Kylie.

“I don’t care about that Jasper. Look how badly injured you are. I wasn’t there to save you from him”

“I’m fine Kylie. Just promise me that you won’t do anything like that again” he said raising his pinky finger.

Kylie pushed his finger down.
“I can’t promise that. Besides, I’m sure he knows my secret now”

“Who? What secret?” Jasper asked too soon.

“He saw my eyes turning red. He must have known that I’m the demigod. I don’t care,I’m ready to fight them already”

“No no no…. Kylie, this is bad. Let’s leave from here immediately” he said and slowly walked towards the door.

“I’ll go get my bag. We need to go see my mom” he said and left.

Kylie smiled and folded his arm.
Suddenly, she felt something.

She shut her eyes and saw the image of Cindy eavesdropping.
She opened her eyes and stared at the door.

“I know you are there Cindy, you can come out now” she said.

Cindy sighed and walked into the room.
“Why didn’t you tell me Kylie?”

“Tell you what?” She folded her arms.

“That you are a Demigod” she replied.

Kylie smirked.
“I can’t trust anyone especially you vampires. It’s just impossible. You all are after my life and you expect me to tell you about my secret”

“You don’t trust me huh? It’s obvious because you blame all the vampires for your mother’s death. I’m your friend Kylie. I promise to protect you” she said, holding Kylie’s hand.

“Thanks Cindy. I have to go now” she said and slipped her hands out of Cindy’s hand.

She smiled weirdly and left her in the room.

Elina turned and threw an apple to Kylie.
“Does that mean you two have to sneak out of school?” She asked after listening to their story.

“Come on mom. They know her secret already, what if they are after her?” Jasper said.

Kylie wasn’t interested in whatever they were saying. She was just busy eating her apple.

“Jasper, I’m sure Kylie can take care of herself now. She is…”

“Thanks mom. You should tell him that. I’m tired of his overprotection” she interrupted her.

“See. I trust Kylie. So you two, go back to school!” Elina clapped her hands.

Jasper turned his neck and stared at Kylie who was already standing.

“Bye Elina” she said and turned to leave.

“Bye sweetie. Don’t worry Jasper, Kylie is capable of taking care of herself” she said and hugged Jasper.

He nodded and turned to leave.

Instead of going back to school, they went home.
“What’s for lunch?” He asked.

“Roasted potatoes and sauce” she said and head to the kitchen.

“Extra spicy?” He asked.

“Super extra spicy!” She replied and they both laughed.

“Well, I’ll be in the shower” he said and head upstairs.

“Sure” she said and washed the potatoes.
She peeled it and put it into the oven.

As she turned, she saw Jackson opposite her.
She ignored him and walked away from him. She started washing the tomatoes.

“If you are here to apologise to him, he’s upstairs” she said without sparing him a glare.

“I’m here to see you Kylie” he said.

She stopped snd turn to face him.
“What exactly do you not understand that we are done, huh?!” She yelled.

“I just got that. It’s over between us, for real. You have to explain to me what exactly you are” he said, walking towards her.

“What do you think I am?” She asked and folded her arms. Staring at him was making her angry.

“I would have said you are a vampire but your eyes are different” he said.

“What’s the different between our eyes colour?” She smirked.

“Mine is red with a touch of black, but yours…. Pure red. What are you?” He asked.

Kylie just smiled and turned away from him.
“It doesn’t matter..”

“It matter to me!! Kylie, what are you?!” He asked angrily as his eyes turned red.

“You don’t scare me Jackson. When you re done displaying, use the door” she said and sliced the tomatoes.

Jackson was surprised. His eyes turned back to normal.
He couldn’t believe what was happening.
“I’m not your enemy Kylie, but I’ll make you regret dumping me” he grinned his teeth and left.

“Asshole!” She murmured and continued what she was doing.

Jasper ran downstairs when he heard the door slammed.
“Oh, I thought you left. Who was that?”

“The guy who claimed not to be my enemy” she replied.

“Huh?” He furrowed his eyebrows, not understanding what Kylie said.

“It’s Jackson” she made herself clear.

“Oh, what does he want?”

“To figure out who I am”

Jasper laughed.
“And what was your reply?”

“Unknown” she said, smirking.

“Why didn’t you tell him what you are?” He asked.

Kylie turned and faced him.
“Because it would be much better when he figures out what I am, himself. I know Cindy would tell him”

“Oh, Cindy… Wait what? Cindy knows?”

“Oh Jasper, you are just a kid” she laughed and continued cooking.

Jasper was hell worried about what would happen next.
“Oh God, please save poor Kylie!” He prayed.

Jackson got home and threw himself on the bed.
“Arghhh!” He gr0-ned loudly.

He sprung up when he heard a knock on the door.

Kylie sat quietly on the bed. She was trying to see if she could hear what Jackson would know about her identity.

“Arghhh… I can’t hear anything. It’s far” she said and laid on the bed.

“What do you want Cindy?” He asked and sat up.

“Can I come in?” She asked.

“Fine” he rolled his eyes and watched as her annoying twin sister stepped into his room.

“Did you meet Kylie today?” She asked.

“I did” he replied.

Cindy lowered her gaze.
“Then, I’m sure you know already. I was also shocked when I figured it out, but she didn’t lie to me”

As Jackson listened to his sister,he was getting confused.
“What are you talking about?” He frowned.

Cindy turned her neck and stared at him.
“I’m talking about Kylie being the demigod. Aren’t you surprised about it?” She asked.

Jackson stood up and quickly locked the door.
“You say what?!” He asked in a low voice.

“Oh, I guess you didn’t know about it” Cindy bit her lower l-ips.

“She told you that she’s a demigod?” He asked to be sure.

“I figured it out but she later told me everything”she said.

A weird smile crept on his face.
“I guess this is the chance. If I can’t have you Kylie, nobody will. I’ll have to tell Bob about this” he thought.

Cindy snapped her finger at him.
“Listen to me, she’s our friend. Make sure no one knows about it, not even mom and dad” Cindy warned.

“Sure, whatever!” He said, thinking about another thing.

“Jackson! You need to promise me” Cindy almost yelled at him.

“I promise. Now, get out of my room. You are making me uncomfortable” he said and pushed her out of the room.

He locked the door behind and stood beside the window.
“Promises are just words Cindy. I’ve given Kylie enough chances to be with me and it’s all up. Bob would know about this and I’ll sit on that throne just as dad wanted. Killing two birds with one stone” he said and turned to stare at his handsome reflection on the mirror.

“I’m sorry baby. I still can’t believe that… Kylie is a demigod” he said and laughed harshly.

Jackson watched as Kylie walked into the class the next morning. She sat far away from him and didn’t even spare him a glance.

He cleared his throat and went to her.
“Kylie?”

“What?” She replied to quickly.

Since she replied him, he’s chanced to talk to her.
“I’m very sorry about what happened. I now get it, it’s over between us”

“I’m glad you’ve figured that out already” she said, playing with her finger.

“Cindy also told me what you are” he said and she quickly turned to stare at him.

“Then, what next? Aren’t you going to report me to Bob?” Kylie asked with annoyance in her voice.

“No, I won’t do that. Even if everyone wants to kill you, I would protect you” he said.

Kylie gave a soft chuckle and leaned on her chair.
“I see. But that’s Jasper’s job and he’s doing it perfectly well. You are no longer a part in my life”

Jackson felt hurt but he didn’t show it. It’s just part of the plan.

He lowered his gaze and sniffed in.
“It was nice being with you even if it was just for a short time. You are angry that I didn’t tell you what I am since we were dating. Well, it was because I knew this would happen. I never wanted to lose you but now I did, I lose you to a mere boy” he said and left.

Kylie stared at him and looked away. She sighed and lowered her gaze, she felt a little bit touched by his word but that won’t change anything.

She didn’t need anyone to trust or to trust her.
She just wanted to be felt alone in her own lonely world.

The teacher entered the class and it begun.

During lunch, someone everyone missed so much showed up.
It was Madison!

“Hey guys!!!” She yelled and everyone cheered.

“They missed me so much” she said and walked to Jackson’s table. He was alone with his sister.

She pushed herself to Jackson and hugged him tight.
“I missed you so much” she said and k××sed his cheek.

“Hey Madison, where have you been?” Cindy asked.

“You know, doing what Bob asked me to do. I brought in three hundred and fourty six new vampires this morning”

Cindy shot her mouth wide open.
“What? You are helping him create more vampires” she said softly.

“Yes, I am. It’s quite fun” she said and stole Jackson’s lunch.

She opened it and brought out the burger that was there.
She took a huge bite and stared round the canteen.

Suddenly, she started coughing.
Cindy gave her a bottle of water.

“What happened?”

“Now I get why something was odd. Why is your girlfriend sitting with that cute dude?” Madison asked.

Jackson and Cindy stared at each other.
“Forget about it Madison, just don’t talk about anything” Cindy said.

“Well, if you don’t answer me, I’ll find out myself” she said and stood up.

She cat walked towards Kylie’s table and sat beside Jasper.
“Hey handsome, seem like we’ve met before. At the mall” she said.

Jasper gave her a quick smile and stared at Kylie.

“Long fine Madison, where have you been?” She asked.

“You know, doing some dirty works for Bob” she said.

Kylie smiled.
“That’s very good. Keep up with the dirty work”

“So, who is this?” She asked, referring to Jasper.

“He’s my boyfriend” Kylie replied, showing a dirty smile.

Madison gasped.
“Oh my world, you dumped Jackson!” She exclaimed.

“Don’t say that too loud sugar” Kylie said, laughing.

Madison nodded.
“I like the new Kylie. She’s just a friendly that the old dumb Kylie” she said and walked back to Jackson’s table.

Kylie smiled and stared at Jasper.
“Who the hell was that?”

“One of their vampire friends” she replied.

“Oh, I see the resemblance” he said and adjusted his jacket.

“Jackson told me that he won’t hurt me even if others would”

“And did you believe him?”Jasper asked, giving her a questioning look.

“I don’t know. He’s a vampire, is he trustworthy?” She asked herself.

“Don’t trust him. He knows you are the demigod, very soon they would start crawling to the house looking for you” he said.

Kylie smiled.
“I knew I could trust you”

Jasper held her hand.
“Just don’t trust him, I won’t even trust him in my sleep”
He said and glared at Jackson from distance.

Madison sat beside Jackson.
“I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew your relationsh¡p won’t last a semester and it did” she said to Jackson.

“Whatever” Jackson stood up and left the canteen.

He found a way to leave the school into the woods.

From where kylie sat, she could hear dead leaves rustle, wind whooshing and heart beating fast.

She stared at jackson’s table and saw he was absent.

She knew he was up to something.

Few minutes later, Jackson got into the mansion.
He walked towards Bob who was having his breakfast with some s××y vampires with him.

“Jackson!”

“Sorry for the intrusion, but I’ve found the demigod” he said.

Bob gasped and signalled the ladies to leave.
They left immediately.

Bob stood up from his throne and walked down to meet Jackson.

“What did you say?” He asked.

“I’ve found the demigod” he said.

Bob laughed.
“That’s great news. The one who never wanted to be part of this suddenly became the one helping us. Where is she?” He shot a hærd glare at him.

“Hold on there. As you promised, I would sit on the throne once I’ve submitted the demigod to you” he said.

Bob looked away from him and went back to the throne.
“Do you want to rule?” He asked.

“That’s my father’s wish and I want to fulfil it for him” he replied.

Bob smirked.
“Fine. You will rule but that’s when I’m dead”

Jackson frowned.
“I see, then I’ll submit the demigod when you are dead” he said and turned to leave.

Bob banged his hand on the table.
“Hold on!”

Jackson stopped and an evil smile crept on his face.
He turned and faced Bob proudly.

“What Bob?” He asked, not showing any sign of respect. He knew Bob won’t do anything since he knew what he wanted and Bob won’t try to kill him.

“It’s a deal then. You submit the demigod and you become the head. Now tell me, where is the demigod?” He asked.

“I won’t tell you where she is. I would bring her to you, but first I need something for her to trust me with” he said.

“What is it?” Bob asked with a frown.

“I would like a pay a visit to guests in the dungeon”

“Have your way then! You have two days to bring her to me” he said.

Jackson smiled and went to the dungeon.

Bob was really furious. He didn’t want anyone to overthrow him now.
“I have to do something really fast” Bob murmured.

.
Jackson went to the dungeon and asked of Robby.

He walked to the last prison and saw him in,side looking so helpless.

“Hey there Robby” he said and squatted.

Robby raised his head and stared at Jackson.
He had no idea who Jackson was.

“Who are you?” Robby asked.

Jackson smiled.
“I’m Jackson. I was your daughter boyfriend before she dumped me” he said.

Robby quickly went to the gate and held it tight.
“How’s my daughter?” He asked.

“She’s very well fine. A guy named Jasper is taking good care of her” he said.

Robby sighed.
“I knew Jasper would do what I said”

Jackson furrowed his eyebrows. He didn’t know that Robby would know who Jasper was.

“Shit!” He thought.

“Your daughter asked me to check on you. I’m also taking care of her” he said.

“Sure, I’m fine. Just tell her to stay out of trouble” he said.

“I hope she believes me. Can you give me your jacket to show as a proof?”

Robby quickly took it off and gave it to Jackson.
“Tell her that I love her so much. She shouldn’t worry about me, I’m fine”

Jackson took it and nodded.
“Sure, I would tell her everything” he said and left.

Robby went back to sit beside his brother who was fast asleep.

He sat dead and watched as rats crawled to their body.

Robby quickly took the two of them and bit it.
He drained their blood and threw their body out of the window.

“Tasty!” He murmured and wiped his mouth.
