💋 Chapter Seven 💋

EXCLUSIVELY ON DREAME

Jackson and Kylie silently walked down the street. They didn’t talk to each other for almost five minutes till Jackson broke the silent.

“Uhhh, you will be in school tomorrow huh?”

Kylie turned her head to stare at him.
“Sure I will, you?”

He nodded and lowered his gaze.
“If you have any problem with any subject, I’ll be glad to help” he added.

“Sure. I really love all the subject except chemistry, that’s why I read that a lot”

Jackson smiled.
“That’s my favorite”

Kylie blushed and suddenly stopped walking.
Jackson also stopped and stared at her.

“Why did you stop?” He asked.

“I’m home already. See you tomorrow” she said and walked into her house.

Jackson watched her as she entered into the house. He smirked and walked away.

Jackson got home and saw Cindy. She was waiting for him.
“What’s up sister?” He asked and threw himself to the chair.

Cindy folded her arms and squeezed her face. She was angry that her brother took her walkhome partner.

“Why did you leave with Kylie?” She asked.

“Leave with Kylie? I didn’t, she left with me” he lied.

“Really? Chris told me everything so you don’t need to lie. I’m suspecting you Jackson”
Cindy slowly moved closer to him.

“What did I do this time?” He rolled his eyes.

“You like Kylie and don’t want to spill it because Madison will kill her huh?”

“Why should I be scared of Madison?” He asked raising his head to stare at his annoying sister.

“So you are ignoring the fact that you like Kylie huh?” She teased.

Jackson grabbed his bag and stood up.
“I’ll be in my room. Look out for the demigod” he said and swiftly ran into the room.

Cindy rolled her eyes and went to the room.

As Kylie prepared to sleep, Sarah walked into the room to give her a goodnight k×ss before she sleep.

Kylie covered her legs waiting for her mother to say anything. Her mother sat beside her touching her hair slowly.

“How was school today?” Sarah asked.

Kylie sighed.
“It was fine mom. History class was a little bit interesting today”

“Hmm, tell me more about it” Sarah replied, showing more interest.

“We talked about myth and I asked a question if witches and vampires are real. My teacher said it was a myth but one of my classmate was not supportive of her reply”

Sarah slowly diverted her gaze away from Kylie. She had lot of things running in her mind.
“Are there vampires around?” She thought.

“Mom?” Kylie called out.

Sarah snapped out of her thoughts and faced Kylie.
“You should go to sleep now. It’s getting late. Just remember what I told you. Be yourself, be bold and never get angry at anyone”

“Yes Mom, you’ve told me that more than a million times. I know dad will be proud of me wherever he is” Kylie said.

Sarah nodded and left the room.

Moon climbed the bed and laid with Kylie.

Sarah walked out of the room and entered her room.
She slowly sat on the bed thinking about what Kylie told her.
“I should really confirm if this place is safe for Kylie”

Cindy walked into the class with Lilly and saw Kylie placing her head on the table.
“Hey Kylie” they called out.

Kylie slowly raised her head. She was feeling pale and weak. She didn’t know why she wasn’t feeling herself since she woke up.

“Hey Cindy” she replied in a weak voice. They noticed it and quickly went to sit close to her.

“Are you alright Kylie?” Lilly asked.

Kylie placed her palm on her forehead and nodded.
“I guess”

Cindy checked for herself and saw that her temperature was boiling hot.

“You are sick Kylie, you should go to the nurse”

Jackson heard that word from the door. He quickly rushed into the classroom and faced Kylie.
“Are you sick Kylie? I should take you home”

Madison frowned.
“Why should you take her home? She can walk home”

Jackson rolled his eyes and grabbed Kylie’s arm.
“Let’s go”

Kylie followed him slowly. Everyone in the class were stunned.
“She hasn’t even last up to two weeks in this school and she’s stealing my boyfriend”

“He isn’t your boyfriend Madison!!”Cindy yelled and went out of the class with Lilly.

Madison gr0×ned and threw herself to the chair thinking about what just happened.
“I should do something really fast”

“Where’s Kylie? We both have a challenge going on” Chris announced as he walked into the class.

Madison smirked.
“I guess Chris is the answer I’ve been looking for”

As Jackson and Kylie slowly walked up the empty street, Kylie felt a little dizzy.
She almost fell but Jackson was there to help her.

“Careful” he said almost in a whisper as he helped her up.

Kylie blinked repeatedly and lowered her gaze.

She finally got to her house.
She stopped by the door and turned to see Jackson behind.

“Aren’t you going to come in?” She asked.

“No, I have to get back to school. Just take care of yourself” he said.

“Thank you” she said and walked towards the door.
She realized that she didn’t take her bag along with her.

“Can you….” She stopped talking. She didn’t see any sign of Jackson anywhere.

She walked to the street and looked left and right.
“That’s weird, where did he go?” She murmured and went into the house.

Jackson was sighted sitting alone during lunch.
Chris walked to him and close to him.
“Hey dude!”

Jackson didn’t reply, he was lost in thought.
Chris waved his hand in front of his face to notice him.

Jackson snapped back to reality and stared at his friend, wondering what he was doing here.

“Why are you thinking about Kylie?!” Chris asked.

“I’m not!” He replied and started eating his meal.

“You can lie but your mind can’t”

“I’ve told you to stop reading my mind” Jackson almost yelled.

“Fine, I’m sorry. I’ll leave now, I have to meet up with Madison” Chris said and stood up.

Jackson squeezed his face and stared at Chris.
“Why?”

“I don’t know. Maybe, we have a plan. Catch up with you later dude!” Chris tapped his shoulder and left.

Jackson sighed and continued thinking. He had no idea why he is thinking about Kylie.

Sarah was seen secretly walking into the woods. She kept on turning back to make sure that no one was following her.
He got in front of a rock and changed some words.

The rock slowly divided and she walked through it.

It was a beautiful decoration in,side the witches chamber. It was crazy outside but much better in,side. It felt like a palace.
Different witches and wizards could be seen walking helter skelter.

She walked straight to the head of witches clan. Some of the witches stared at her like she was some stranger.

“Oh my world, look who is here. My long lost friend!” Elina said slowly as she walked down the stairs to hug Sarah.

Sarah smiled and hugged her in return. They disengaged from the hug and went to Elina’s sleeping chamber.

“What brings you here Sarah?” Elina asked as she served her hot coffee.

“It’s a long story Elina. I know it’s been ages since I left the clan but I did it for the good of everyone” Sarah said almost in a whisper.

Elina sat close to her when she said the seriousness in her voice.
“Tell me Sarah, what happened?”

“I.. I gave birth to a Demigod”

“What?!! What were you thinking? How did you mate with a vampire? Our worse enemy!”

“Bring your voice down Elina! It’s not my fault, it’s a curse. A generational curse. I don’t know why I became a victim” Sarah lowered her gaze.

Elina sighed and touched her shoulders.
“It’s okay. It’s not your fault. Why did you come here?”

“I wanted to know if vampires still exist”

Elina burst out into laughter.
“I have a reply to your answer. Follow me!” She said.

Sarah followed her. They went to the dungeon.
It was darker and silent.

“You’ve come to see me huh?”
They heard a voice as they walked closer to the dead end.
They saw the light beaming from afar.

“Who was that?” Sarah asked.

Elina stared at her.
“It’s a vampire that we’ve kept here for twenty years”

“What?” She exclaimed.

They stood in front of him and stared at his bloody eyes and sweaty body. He was looking dirty and ugly.
“Long time, no see Sarah!”

Sarah shot her eyes wide opened. It was her husband’s brother.

Sarah remembered when her husband, Robby cried that night when his only brother went missing. They didn’t get his location and lose hope that he’s alive.

“Elina, you..you kept him here all this while” Sarah asked.

“Do you know him?” Elina asked.

Sarah stared at Henry and shook her head.
“I need to leave from here!”
She turned to leave, but stopped when she heard Henry’s voice.

“You must have forgotten my brother that easily. Keep on protecting your daughter from the vampires because she will go through a lot in her life once she is discovered”

Sarah squeezed her face and went away. Elina followed her behind.
She escorted her to the exit.

“You can bring her here where she will be protected”

“No I can’t. She doesn’t know who she is. I locked her powers in her necklace” Sarah replied.
She was thinking about Kylie, wondering what Henry said. If it’s true.

“I’ll be here for you anytime you need me”

Sarah nodded and left.
She walked through the rock again and watched as it closed up.

“Honey! I’m home!” Sarah yelled as she entered into the house.

She walked up the stairs to Kylie’s room and saw her laying on the bed.
“Kylie?”

She walked to the bed and sat close to Kylie.
“What’s wrong?”

Kylie slowly sat up and stared at her mother.
“I don’t know mom, I feel weak”

“Did you go to school?”

“I went but I came back” she replied.

“Oh. Your face look pale” she said and grabbed her palm.

Kylie looked away from her mother and sighed deeply.

Sarah wanted to heal her with her spell but she wants Kylie to be unaware.
“Lay down” she said.

As Kylie laid down, Sarah quickly muttered some words, holding her palms.
Some energy went into Kylie’s body which made her more better.

Kylie noticed some changes in her body. She quickly stood up and jerked her hands back and front.
“I think I’m much better now mom”

“Really?!” She replied, pretending not too know what happened.

Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door.
Sarah and Kylie quickly got up and ran down the stairs.

As Sarah opened the door, she saw three people standing by the door.
“Hi!” She greeted.

“Hi ma’am, we’re here to meet Kylie”

Kylie recognized that voice. It was Cindy’s.
She ran to the door and threw it open.

“Hey Cindy!”

They all squeezed her face when they saw how lively she was.

“Hey Kylie” Lilly and Cindy greeted.

“I’ll leave you guys now” Sarah said and turned to leave.

“Wait mom, this is Cindy, Lilly and Jackson”

“Oh, is he your new boyfriend?” She teased her daughter.

“What?! No mom” Kylie said and slowly pushed her mom up the stairs.

Cindy and Lily laughed.

“Come in”

“I just came to give you your bag. You left it at school” Jackson said as he stretched out his hand to her.

Kylie collected the bag.
“Thanks”

Without waiting any second, he left.

Kylie closed the door and took the girls to her room.
“What’s up with Jackson? Does he hate me?”

“I don’t think so. If he does, he wouldn’t have brought you home himself” Cindy replied and sat on the bed.

“I love your room Lilly. It’s perfect for our sleepover night this weekend” Lilly squeaked.

Kylie blushed.
“What should I get you both?”

“We are fine. Are you feeling better now?”

“Yeah. Much better. This seems like the first time that I’m falling sick”

“I’m glad you are fine. We have good news for you” Lilly turned to face Kylie.

“Tell me, what’s it?” She replied feeling excited. She really wanted to hear the news.

“Prom is next month. So you should start looking for your date” Lilly replied.

Kylie gave a fake laugh. She has never attended a prom before. She remember that she wasn’t a fan of school activities.

“I don’t know Lilly. I don’t like prom”

“Don’t worry. With you on our side, everything will be perfect” Cindy added.

Kylie sighed.

Chris walked home alone since his friend wasn’t around to walk with him.
He heard a faint voice from behind that was calling out her name.

He turned and saw Madison in her cheerleading outfit.
“What does she want this time?” He murmured and kept on walking.

Madison caught up with him and slapped his arm.
“You made me run this far. Thank goodness for my fast reflexes”

“I never asked you to follow me. You should stop exposing yourself” he replied.

“Whatever. What do you think about what I told earlier?” She said almost in a whisper.

“I’m not doing it. I can only become friends with Kylie and not more than that. Besides, she’s new” Chris replied angrily.
He didn’t understand why Madison wants him to date Kylie so that Jackson will stay away from her.

“You better listen to me. I don’t want to harm her so just do as I say” she threatened.

Chris shot her a glare and walked away from her.

Kylie reported to school on Wednesday bright as ever. As she walked into the school, they stared at her.

Some of them wanted to ask her out but they were scared of the rejection.

She walked to her locker and saw Jackson in front of his own locker.

She opened it and took the books she need.
As she closed it, she saw Chris standing beside Jackson.

“Hey beautiful’ Chris greeted.

Kylie smiled and walked away from them.

“Why does she ignore my greetings?” Chris asked Jackson.

“Maybe you should be more r0mantic” he replied and went to class.

In class, Jackson was lost in thought. He had a lot of things in his mind.
He stole glances from Kylie repeatedly and tried to read her thoughts but can’t figure out what she’s thinking about.

After lunch, Kylie went to get her PE dress. She tied her hair to a ponytail and stared at her reflection. It was her perfect size.

She walked to the basketball court to start her training but didn’t anyone except the coach and Jackson.

She stood by the door waiting for them to notice her.

The coach saw her and diverted her attention to her.
Jackson noticed her and stared at her.

“You must be Kylie. Come in!”

Kylie nodded and walked to him.
She was now standing beside Jackson.

“Um, Jackson. I need to supervise them on the field. You can train her for the meantime” he said and left.

Kylie didn’t believe her ears. Her trainer was going to be Jackson.

Jackson grabbed a ball and threw it to Kylie.
“So, you decide to join the basketball team. Why?”

“Why do you ask?” She replied and bounced the ball on the floor number of times. She threw it and it entered into the net.

“Nice one. You can play so why do you need a trainer”

“I never asked for a trainer” she replied and threw the ball to Jackson.

“I see” Jackson said and threw the ball into the net.

“Let’s play a quick game then…” He added.

Kylie stared at him.
“First to get to three point win”

“No. If I get to three point first, you have to do what I want and if you get first, I have to do what you want”

“Sounds like a plan. You go first” she threw the ball at him and they started the game.

Jackson dribbled Kylie and threw the ball into the net.

Kylie frowned and collected the ball from him. She also threw it and it entered the net.

After the game, they ended up playing twenty point.
Jackson won!

She sat on the bench and drank some water.

“So, I won” he said and sat close to her.

“It’s just one point difference” she cut in.

“I’m still the winner. I’m going to ask you for my favour”

Kylie stood up.
“What do you want from me?”

“Simple. Be my date”

“Date? Like, prom date?” She frowned.

“Prom? No no… I just want to invite you to my house for dinner” he said waiting for her reply. He tried to read her mind but can’t get through.

“I don’t know. I’ll think about it” Kylie said and turned to leave.

“I’ll come pick you on Saturday evening if you are ready” he shouted.

Kylie rolled her eyes and walked out of the court. She didn’t understand why Jackson would ask her to come over to her house.
There’s nothing going on between them. Why would he want her to come over?
