I was singing while cleaning the room mum told me to clean in preparation for Brian’s visit. Any one that saw me will know am happy because I knew that Brian’s visit will be fun filled

The days of boredom are over.. I thought.. Brian was a fun type. There is a never a dull moment with him. I enjoy his company alot that’s was why I was very happy when mum told me about his visit

I took the broom from the back of the door and swept the house gently making sure there was not stick stain found anywhere. That was so much unlike me. The normal me will not even sweep the room. I will leave it till mum comes back. Maybe I was doing all that because the room for Brian or should I say for me and Brian because I will spend more time playing with him in his room more than anyone else

Jennifer open the door of the room I was cleaning and came in. I didn’t even notice her till she tapped me on my back

Good morning Jenny I greeted in fear looking directly into her face to know if she was still mad at me

How was your night Angela? She responded

Mum said Brian will be coming to visit us I said almost immediately

I have totally forgotten about the cucumber so the question came as a shock to me. What will I possibly tell her?

I walked with great pace without knowing where to go because Jennifer was ready to follow me anywhere. I want to the Palour and sat down pretending not hear all she was saying though she was standing right beside me

Jennifer forgot about the cucumber argument immediately. She went and welcomed Brian though she was not looking so happy

Brian was such a funny guy, he had started making us laugh immediately he came. We helped him arranged his things in the room putting all things in order

Hey Palace maid come and help the prince remove his shoes.. He said reffering to Jennifer

I arranged his clothes in the wardrobe and made sure it was neatly kept . By the time finished I went to discuss with him but it seems he was very busy with his phone so I took my phone and pretended to be busy with mine too though I was not actually doing anything on it

I looked him on the face and admired him greatly. Brian have turned to be a very handsome and nice looking young man. Through in his early twenties he already nearly carved mustache round his jaw and made him look more matured than his age

His broad chest and his huge muscle made the shirt he was wearing look fitted on him

Angela why are you looking at me like that? Do I look like your father? Brian asked nd left me laughing

I was so carried away by his cuteness that I did even know when he started looking at me

Jennifer laughed so much at this. I wondered what was making hwe laugh so hard because I didnt find what he said very funny

Brian I need to rest… Jennifer said left the room

I wanted to engage in a discussion with him busy he continued pressing his phone immediately Jennifer left.

Brian how is mum and dad… I asked trying to draw his attention to me

They are fine he said and continued with his phone

What are you even doing with phone? I asked and collected his phone

Ahh Angela give me back my phone or do you want me to call the palace guard to seize you?

I ignored him and went close to the door pretending that I wanted to run away with his phone

He rushed to me and stood in my front trying to collect his phone but I hid it behind me . He tickled my armpit and I was forced to drop the phone on the floor

We both rushed to get the phone from the ground at the same time and out lip met each other

I kept quiet to know what he will do. He disconnected his lips from mine immediately and cleaned his mouth

He left the phone for me and went to the bed and sat down

Brian what is it? Why looking moody? I asked in concern

I left the room immediately and went to mine . I lay on my bed pondering on what made Brian change his room automatically . I waved the thought and slept off

Mum came and welcomed Brian. Dad was not around . He went for business trip and was to come back the next day.

Me and Jennifer went to prepare for dinner while mum discussed with Brian in the sitting room. I could hear her laugh at interval. She was really enjoying the discussion with her Nephew

We slept very late that night. We were all together gisting and laughing even mum but mum later forced eveyone to go and sleep .

I was not happy with that order. I went to my room but sleep was not crossing my eye . I wanted to spend more time with Brian. I planned sneak to his room when everybody must have slept up but I had a little problem. Jennifers room was next to his own and she might catch me on the process

I thought for a while and decided to make the risky journey praying deeply in my heart not to be caught

I tip toed trying very hard not to make any noise because Jennifer can wake up at the sound of anything usual. Sometimes I wonder if she sleep at all because the way she wake up as if she never slept. Mum usually call her a dog because of the way she sleeps

I rejoiced in my heart and tip toed inside making sure not to make any sound while closing the door. I closed the door and turned to see Brian awake pressing his phone. I was shocked and dumbfounded. I didn’t expect his to be awake by that time

Angela why are you still doing awake by this time and and why are you coming into my room like a thief? He said and switched on the light chasing the darkness in the room away

I pretended that what he said was very very very funny to me. I laughed and fell on his body.. I did this to avoid more questions from him

Before 2 minutes, I slept off
