Eric’s POV
“Put me down!! Put me down!!!” Bellatrix screamed and I finally dropped her on the ground

“You used to cry every time you mother wasn’t with you back then and you actually grew up to have a very loud voice too” I said

“You knew me when I was a baby?” Bellatrix asked

“Of course, is that even a question to be asked? I am your uncle, Dianna is my sister and Gia is my twin” I said

“I guess you are also evil like Dianna is then” Bellatrix said

“Evil? I don’t think that should be coming from you Bellatrix, the whole family fought for you before you were even birthed, we all felt Dianna’s pain as you were being ripped out of her stomach, it was during your birth Ivan lost the only woman she loved and our family was separated, we sacrificed a lot for you Bellatrix, you are the last person that should ever call us evil regardless of whatever you might have heard” I said and Bellatrix stared at me for a while

“But…. but Dianna abandoned me” she said

“Abandoned you? No one abandoned you, Gia and Adrian took you away and we were unable to find you, Dianna was broken after you were gone, how could she abandon you when she suffered so much to give birth to you? She was always willing to lay her life down for you Bellatrix, if only babies remember their early years, then we won’t be having this conversation” I said

“What you are telling me is different from what I’ve heard, you are trying to deceive me” Bellatrix said

“Deceive you? Sweetheart I am a thousand year old immortal, what the bloody hell will I gain from deceiving you? Whoever told you those stories is actually the liar” I said

“Okay what about my real father? I was told Dianna killed her because he was a good man and she didn’t like that” she said

“What?! Your father’s name was Owen and he really was a good man, when Dianna was pregnant with you, there was a lady that seeks our family’s downfall, her name was Aria and she cursed me with what they call a raging hex that sends people crazy and out of control, it is said that only an innate one could cure the hex and your father was one, he was brought to the Mansion to help me cure the hex but Aria came, she came with the intent of harming Dianna but your father got in the way in a bid to save her and that was how your father died and Aria killed him and even as he was dying, he made sure to heal me before he finally breathed his last, that was the kind of person your father was and you siding with that monster called Adrian is an insult to the legacy he left behind” I said

“I….. You are a stranger to me so I don’t believe you, I must confirm all these from Dad first, he always tells me the truth” Bellatrix said

“I’m not letting you go Bellatrix, not when we’ve finally found you after years of searching” I said

“You do not have a choice” Bellatrix said as she began to run away and I was unable to go after her

“Bellatrix!!!” I yelled as she ran

“I’m sorry” I heard her say and I huffed
Seems she’s learned to use her innate powers already
I stood there for a while till she was out of sight and I was finally able to move
I walked back to the shed expecting to see Gia standing over Adrian’s dead body on the ground but I saw Gia on the ground instead

“Gia!!!” I yelled as I ran to kneel beside her
My mouth fell open as I saw the golden dagger deep into her chest and her body was slowly begining to lose its color

“Gia, what the bloody hell happened Gia?” I asked

“Bella…..where is she?” Gia asked weakly

“She escaped but that doesn’t matter right now, what the bloody hell is happening to you?”

“She’s a….. smart….. smart girl…. Bellatrix, give her….. some time and……and she’ll figure out the……the truth and she’ll be….. back to her……her real family” Gia stuttered

“I don’t like the way you sound Gia, I’m gonna remove the dagger” I said as I held the dagger and pulled it out of her chest
Her blood gushed out and I quickly covered it with my hands

“You are not healing Gia, why the bloody hell are you not healing?!!!” I yelled as my eyes watered

“I’m…. I’m sorry Eric” she said

“No, no you said I was never going to hear an apology from you again, stop apologizing!”

“Tell them….. Dianna and Ivan….. tell them not to……to hate me….. I…..I was selfish….. tell them to forgive their…..their little sister” Gia stuttered as a tear rolled down her eyes

“I’m sure Dianna and Ivan are no longer angry with you, we’ll go back home together and they’ll embrace you Gia, because we are family we’ll always love each other, no matter what” I said trying to hold back the tears that was threatening to pour out of my eyes

“After…..a….. a thousand years….. death…..death has finally….. come…..for……for me” Gia said and I could feel her heartbeat slowly coming to a stop

“Gia no, you cannot die! We were supposed to stick together forever, do not die on me!!!” I couldn’t hold back anymore and the tears flowed freely down my face, my heart hurts, my twin sister is dying in front of me, and all I can do is cry

Ivan’s POV
Ethan and I got home and we took Dianna and Layla in
Luckily, Dianna was still passed out so and I took her upstairs to her room while Ethan laid Layla’s body on the couch
I walked downstairs and I went to meet Ethan

“What should we do now?” he asked

The door suddenly opened and Eric walked in, his eyes were swollen from crying and she carried with him, unconscious Gia, her body looked so pale and dark

“What happened to her?” I asked

Eric placed Gia on the floor and looked at me
“He used it on her, the golden dagger, after a thousand years brother, one of us is dead, Gia is gone, forever this time” Eric whimpered and I pulled him into an embrace…….

Ethan’s POV
I had conjured a chain to suppress the raging hex for Dianna and I had it put on her before she woke up
The moon was shining outside and the courtyard was already set for burning Layla and Gia’s body

Dianna woke up and the worker rushed down the stairs to inform us all and we went to her room

“I was out of control wasn’t I? The raging hex took over me so I don’t remember much” Dianna said “But I do remember seeing my daughter, I saw Bellatrix and she was with Adrian, Adrian Hunter is brainwashing my baby girl and I am going to make him pay for it” she said and then looked up at us
“Why are you all so silent?” she asked and glanced at the chains on her hand
“This is to keep me in control and suppress the raging hex right? I guess I have Layla to thank for this, where is she?” Dianna asked but we all remained quiet
“Why are you all so quiet? Is something wrong? Did I do something real bad when the hex took control of me?” she asked and then looked at Eric “You said you were going to meet Gia but you are back now, did you find her?” Dianna asked
“I know I am not speaking to deaf people so will someone bloody answer?!!” she yelled

“Layla is dead, Adrian killed her” I said

“What?!”

“Layla isn’t the only one we lost sister” Ivan said

“What are you talking about? Ethan is right here, the rest of us are immortals so who else did we lose?” Dianna asked

“Tell them, Dianna and Ivan, tell them not to hate me, I was selfish, tell them to forgive their little sister” Eric said and sniffed “Those were her last words”

“I don’t understand Eric? Who said that? Who died? I only have one little sister and that is Gia so who’s last words were those?” Dianna asked

“We lost Gia” Ivan said and Dianna chuckled

“Don’t you think you guys are too old to pull this kind of prank on me? I’m sure stubborn Gia is hiding somewhere and laughing right now but I tell you all I’m not falling for your prank so you better come out of your hiding place Gia!” Dianna said looking around
“Is she really not going to come out?” Dianna asked “You are damn lucky I have these heavy chains tied to my wrists else I’ll have fished you out myself!”

“Stop Dianna, stop” Eric said as a tear rolled down his face

“Stop what? What is wrong with you? Why are you suddenly crying?” Dianna asked

“Because Gia is dead I told you already!” Ivan voiced

“And what the bloody hell do you mean Gia is dead?!!” Dianna yelled “How in the Hammingtons name do you expect me to believe that?! Gia is my sister, we’ve lived for a thousand years, she’s an immortal and she cannot die!”

“She can if the golden dagger was used on her” I said and Dianna shook her head

“No, no I know Gia, she’s stubborn and can be very mischievous sometimes, she came back didn’t she? And she’s afraid I won’t take her back cause she took Bellatrix away from me so she’s pulling this stunt, she put you all to this didn’t she? Well there’s no need for all this Gia, no matter what you did, you remain family and family are always welcomed so get out of wherever you are hiding and put an end to this stunt!”

“Enough of this, unlock those chains Ethan” Ivan said to me

“What? No, those chains are the only thing surpressing the hex and stopping her from going crazy” I reminded

“Well it is also stopping her from realizing the truth, and I prefer crazy Dianna to clueless Dianna” Ivan said and I sighed

“Fine, as long as you’ll be the one to put her down when she goes haywire” I said as I whispered the spell and the chains fell off Dianna’s wrist with a thud

“Now you come with me” Ivan said as he grabbed Dianna’s hand and dragged her out of the room to the courtyard where Layla and Gia’s body were laid, ready to be burnt
“Does that look like a stunt to you?! Does it Dianna?!!!” Ivan yelled and Dianna jerked off her hand from him and moved towards the bodies

She touched the bodies, shaking them up and they didn’t respond nor bat an eyelash, a sudden realization seemed to suddenly hit her and she stepped back from the bodies

“They are really dead” she said in disbelief

One of the witch workers in the mansion came up to us with two lighted touches
“It’s time to send them off” she said “Who will be lighting the bodies?”

“I’ll light Layla’s” I said as I collected a touch from her

“I’ll be the one to see Gia off” Eric said, collecting the second touch

I moved towards Layla’s body with the touch
“You came into my life the moment I really needed someone to rely on, you cared for me like we were really related by blood, you hugged my when I cried, fed me when I was hungry and motivated me when I felt down, you were the shining star in my dark sky Layla and we all didn’t deserve your illuminating presence in our lives yet you blessed us with it, I am devasted that you are gone Layla but then I know you’ll always reside in my heart so I haven’t really lost you, you smiled as you took your last breath so I’ll send you off with a smile even though my heart weeps, rest on, my hero” I said as I managed to muster up a smile with my reddish, teary eyes and I lit her body on fire with the touch

I stepped back and Eric came forward and stood in front of Gia’s body with his lit touch

“I don’t know what to say” Eric sniffed
“Never in a thousand years did I ever imagined sending you off, we were supposed to live together forever, we had our altercations but you know I always loved and cherished you, I don’t remember much but I still have a little bit of our memories before the curse, how we’d always argue about anything and everything, I remember Mom and Dad going on their pirate voyage and leaving us in Dianna and Ivan’s care, they’ll try their best to take care of us but we always end up fighting about the littlest things and making their day hell for them, we were always at each other’s throat yet we stood up for each other, when I was bullied by the village kids, you fought them off for me even though you got injured in the process, when we got cursed, we promised to stick together, forever, is this the end of our forever Gia? You left me alone, that was not what we promised each other, you….. you……. oh I can’t do this” Eric said as he dropped the touch on the ground and walked in

Ivan moved forward and picked up the touch
“Rest on sister, I’ll make sure your killer suffers a death that will make even the devil weep for him, you shall be avenged Gia Hammington, I promise” he said and he lit up the body……
