CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX: GLIMPSE OF HER PAST
The pain was still there, I could still feel it right in my chest but something else felt good, the air that keep brushing my skin, opening my eyes, I stare at a clear sky, so clear that you will think no impurities are there.
Looking left I stare at children running and laughing, the elders here seem and look very nice, very calm too ” What is this place? Am I dead?”
” Princess Crystal!!!” Someone runs in my direction, she has long silver hair color, which is a weird hair color for someone to have “Why are you here? You haven’t visited the palace today?”
” The palace?”
” You’re always looking at the sky, which is not good for you ”
Diamond approaches and I frown but she looks younger here, even more innocent ” I told her several times not to daydream about leaving this place”
” What are you two talking about?” I look at them ” Who are you? Where am I?”
” Stop joking and come, father is waiting for you “They drag me from where I was standing into a huge building, I couldn’t help but look around, the hallway, different paintings of people being intimate, who will desire such a thing, it’s so lewd to hang in one’s hallway.
Right now, I need to think as to why am here, and what am I doing here, Diamond mentioned returning to them in the heavens, is this what she means? If I truly died, that will only mean Muchen is not safe.
I can’t possibly be dead, I have to find a way out of this mess, this is not how my love story ended, my whole life can’t stop this way “Father, she was looking at the sky again ”
” Crystal, you need to know your duties ” I look at the man and frown, that’s Zeus, why are these girls referring to Zeus as their father? ” This will be your home forever”
” Zeus?” I blurted out and the other girls give me a confused look, as tho I have gone mad ” am sorry Father, I was lost in thought”
” My child ” he step down and approach my direction, I didn’t step back as it would spike up suspicion ” You seem and act a lot different today, why do you look disheartened ”
” My facial expression should not be your worry Father” I look at him and give him an assuring gaze” am perfectly fine and doing great ”
” That’s expected from the three sisters, present, future, and past ” diamond smile ” since crystal is more of the future, she can’t stop daydreaming ”
” The past does have something interesting right?” Silver looks at me as if she knows what’s happening “If you could remember properly, you will be able to get yourself and see the future ”
” Remember what?” Diamond look at us and I shrug
” I have no idea of what she speaks of, excuse me ” I bow to Zeus before leaving, I didn’t wait for his reply, I have to find a way to get out of here, am I truly dead? Do I need to pinch myself or something?
” Hey you ” that voice sounded familiar, I look left and right, my surroundings already changed, am standing in a garden, not a garden, more like a place filled with flowers and flowing water ” I need your help ” I look left and stare at Muchen but he is acting different like he doesn’t know me and then, my gaze move right to stare at myself with blue eyes and red long hair.
Is that me?
” Who are you!!!” What looks like my past self, steps back, her eyes glitter with something ” Father won’t be pleased that a man is here”
” I promise no harm, I only wish for the drink of eternity, I have to save someone”
” What do you speak of?”
” I heard the glass of eternity is here. Was I mistaken?”
” How did you get into the heavens, you’re just a lowly…..” Before I could complete that, Muchen swiftly cover my mouth, he knew that I wanted to scream, I just remain standing and watched what was happening, I stare at how I flushed from how close he stood.
He must have been the first man to touch me “Trust me, I mean no harm ” Muchen whispers close ” I just need to get enough power to save someone, once I get just enough for one person, am off your hair ”
I struggle out of his grasp ” Who is this person to you? Who is this person that you endanger yourself for?”
I watch how Muchen eyes glitter “My wife”

” One more push ” Someone happened to press my chest and I cough, opening my eyes from the unholy dream, my gaze didn’t move from the Stony roof, what was that I just saw?
Was that my past life?
I met Muchen in the past.
Muchen was married? To whom? What happened to me, why did I change so much, my hair, eyes, and everything, what happened to change me this much?
Blinking my eyes once more, I stare at the people around me, sitting up, I notice twelve women staring at me, soft whimpers coming from each of their directions” Is that the girl, she is awake ”
” Isn’t something strange emitting from her?”
” Why do you girls concern yourself with trivial matters ” The one with the crown stood up “What should bother us is why lord Dracula is still asleep ” I frown, lord Dracula? I turn around and stare at a sleeping Muchen ” If she has woken up, shouldn’t he wake up too?”
” Muchen?” Moving close to him, I place my head on his chest, for a few minutes, I heard nothing, no heartbeat, but why? Am alive right? Shouldn’t he wake up now?
Tears drop on his face and that’s when I knew I was crying “Why isn’t he waking up?” I look at the lady ” Is this my fault?”
” It certainly is, tell me what happened” She bend and look at Muchen with so much worry in her eyes ” Did you get killed?”
” Killed ?”
” Did something happen that endanger your life?”
I nod quickly “Yes, I got stabbed”
” Stabbed” everybody gasped and am beginning to think it was something bad, my getting stabbed already happened, they have to be a way to make him wake up ag…….. Before I could finish my thought, Muchen sit upright, so fast that it startled both of us, the queen step back but I didn’t, instead, I move closer, and on instinct I place my hand close to his mouth.
My eyes didn’t leave, I watch how he slowly parted his lips, his fangs elongated and he bite my hand, drinking from my body, it was a painful and sane time, I could feel my body getting weak “What are you doing, he is unconscious, he might drink you dry ”
” He probably lost a lot of blood in that nightmare” Looking at her, I smile ” I trust him, he won’t kill me ” After my words, I notice his eyes open and his breathing return, he look at me closing before letting go of my hand ” Muchen? Are you alright?”
” Jing ” he growl “Have you lost your mind, what if I had killed you? You knew I wasn’t even in my senses ”
” I had to bring you back ” Moving closer, I touch his face “What happened to you, your heart wasn’t beating ”
” I needed blood ” he lick his lips and then look at me “Tell me what…..” I knew what he wanted to ask and I don’t plan on saying anything here, so before he could finish, I kiss him, right on the lips, our both eyes open, his look surprised but that only lasted for few seconds before he loses them and deepen the kiss.
” Enough with this hearty awakening” the queen hit Muchen on the head and he let go of me “You owe me ”
” I do?” Muchen looks at her ” I thought you were simply helping me out ” he stands to his feet ” This is not how you treat your long lost lover ” I frown at the choice of his word, lover? ” And even your king ”
” You were our king, nothing anymore”
” That’s heartbreaking,” I notice she wants to touch his chest and before she could, I stand between them, hands folded
” I don’t know what this is about but you are not allowed to walk closer to him, even if you are a queen, am also a queen ” I growl and she frowns” And this man, is mine ” I turn around and stare at a smiling Muchen
” You heard her”
I might have wanted muchen in the past, that am not sure but all I know is that nobody is allowed to steal him from me.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN: JING’S JEALOUSY ( MONA PREGNANCY)
Muchen stared at a smiling Jing after her little outburst of me being her man, that won’t ever ease from my head, she look so fragile and strong at, the same time ” So tell me ” I look at Christina “What do you want ”
” It’s quite simple Dracula” She steps closer but stops before Jing interrupts again “A war is building up between witches and wizards, and when the time comes, I expect your help ”
” My help? Aren’t you aware that half of my powers are sealed away?”
” Then you just have to release them” I frown at her and she nods her head “You just have to get intimate with her ” Both of our gazes move to Jing who is talking to the other witches
” What do you mean?”
” If am not mistaken, the key is in her body, we could say the key it’s her ”
” What does that have to do with getting intimate?”
” Don’t tell me you have lost your sense of thought lord Dracula” she look at me “Sleeping with someone is more like connecting your bodies, you might not release your full body immediately but trust me, as time flows, it will all go back to you ”
” I didn’t expect it to be that simple ”
” Do not extract everything Dracula” she frown “It might kill her, just a might….nothing is sure yet, when she woke up earlier, we were detecting very strong magic from her, it’s not yours, am sure it belonged to her ” Christina nod her head while looking at Jing ” what is she? Am sure she isn’t a witch ”
” I have no idea?”
” Before you died” She look at me this time, with so much curiosity in her eyes ” Did you know her, like did you ever meet her?”
” If I did, I will know ” I frown ” am sure I didn’t meet her, her facial features are very much unique to forget ”
” That’s all I have to say, now excuse me ” She move towards Jing, few minutes pass before Jing stood up and walk towards my direction “Jing, we should hurry back”
” Hurry?”
” Indeed, we are having a visitation in the palace, me not being there will create a big problem for my kingdom ”
” do you think we can make it on time ”
” Indeed” my gaze move to Christina ” kindly cast a spell of teleportation on us, I will owe you big time after that ”
” Do not forget your words Dracula” she appear right before me, Jing couldn’t even stop her from kissing me, it took zero seconds before her lips touch mine, I couldn’t even react fast enough to avoid her, this damn witch. After the kiss, she zaps her fingers and we find ourselves in Jing’s quarters.
Why not my quarters? Stupid Christina ” milord?” I look down at Jing “Why does she call you Dracula?” I blink and realized that Jing knows nothing about me ” Muchen?”
” It’s my name, more like my past time, you do know that everyone has a past ”
” Oh, like your white hair?”
” Indeed ” Smiling, I couldn’t help but pat her head, she look up at me and I swallow, what Christina said, kept ringing in my head, I have always wanted to get intimate with her but now that I might be able to slowly unlock my power.
It just makes me want to do this even more “Milord” li-mu walked in and bow down “Forgive me for my interruption but it’s time”
” Time?” I frown “Do you speak of the visitation?”
” On the contrary milord,” he looks up “Queen Mona is pregnant”
” Pregnant?” Jing looks at me, I watch the fury in her eyes “You have been sleeping with her?” I notice her anger but this news got me confused as her, after her last miscarriage, I have not slept with her, not even a kiss. Who is the father of this child
” Yes milord, it calls for a celebration”
” Excuse me Jing” I fake a smile ” I have matters to attend to ” I didn’t wait for her to say anything else, just step out of her chambers, the maids kept staring and I just know that the moment I leave Jing’s quarters, rumors will spread.
” What do you mean pregnant”
” Am shocked as you milord ” Li-mu mumbled? ” the maids said she fainted after her breakfast and the physician pronounce her pregnant ”
Arriving in Queen Mona’s chamber, I step in, shut the door, and stare at her laying on the bed, her face pale ” Milord?” She slowly sits up, I notice the guilt in her eyes
” You’re pregnant?”
” Am sure it’s a misunderstanding or a wrong reading ”
” Mona”
” I swear to God, I didn’t cheat on you ”
” Mona ” I look at her, I expected myself to feel hurt, to feel like killing her but instead I feel pity, pity for her and the need for her to defend herself ” I understand I wasn’t there for you, that you needed a shoulder to lean on….you just have to tell me who the father is ”
” Milord ”
” Spite it out ”
” It’s lord Norman” she cry “It was a mistake, we weren’t supposed to…..”
waving my hand, I cut her off, “Enough Mona, nobody needs to know this, the child you’re carrying is mine and no one else “Maybe the fact that I know that this is Josephine is making me get sympathetic with her, making me forgive her, maybe this is my punishment for everything I have made her pass through
” Are you sure?” She sit up probably, looking confused “Why aren’t you angry with me? Why aren’t you planning to get me impeached ”
” That will do no good ” I smile “The only person that will pay for this is lord Norman, for touching my wife ” I move closer to her and sit on the bed, my hand patting her head while she places her head on my shoulder ” worry not, am here now ”
” Thank you ”
Jing lifts the fifth flower vase and slams it on the wall “You mean he is ready to forgive her?” I gasp at Fang after she told me all that she heard from eavesdropping on them ” lord Norman is the father? Why will he forgive her? Is this how much he cares for her?”
” My queen, please you have to calm down, you have to breathe calmly ”
” How can I when all that the king thinks about is queen Mona ” Growling, I sit on my bed and then exhale, trying to calm myself ” I need you to expose this to the public, let the rumor flow, it should also get published in the newspaper”
” Milady, the king will suspect you ”
” I don’t care, I will like to see what he will do to me” Clenching my hands, I look at the mirror “Curse you, Queen Mona, curse you and your damn unborn child!!!!” It was evident I had no reason to curse her but my anger could not let me think elsewhere.
She keep pulling him back to him, even when I taught I had overstepped her, she will do something to have him, opening his arms out for her, how can she do something like that? Why does King Muchen keep protecting her?
What is so special about her, what does she have that I don’t?
