CHAPTER FORTY- TWO: LORD MUCHEN PAST 4
Jing stares at lord Muchen, how he knelt down and still tells her he loves her, this reminds her completely of the present, how Mona cheated on him but he still wishes to forgive her, but why?
I know that I can’t see everything that happened in their life but let me get the important details, why is it that Dracula feels so indebted to her? Why is he so in love with Josephine ” am sorry, me leaving you must have made you do all this ” Dracula mumble and Josephine push him back
Getting up, I saw hatred in her eyes ” I told you, I don’t love you, I choose Edward ”
” I don’t believe you” Dracula shake is his head ” they have to be a reason you acted this way, tell me ”
” Dracula”
” You told me you love me ” he move closer to her “Before I even became the crown prince, you promised to be with me ”
” That was because I knew you were the king’s favorite son ” Josephine smile ” I only did all this to be the crown princess”
” Then why!!!!” He growl, pain evident in his voice “Why didn’t you just stick with me, why did you have to betray me!!!!!” I watch how he grabs her by the shoulder, tight, Josephine gasps in pain “What did you gain from making me love you? Just for you to toss me around ”
” No, I…..”
” You what!!!!!!!!” He yell “You married me and kept sleeping with Edward?”
” You were weak ” she finally drop a tear ” You were so weak that I doubted, I had no idea you could get this strong “Watching them, I realized one thing, I can’t blame Dracula for acting this way, he love her with so his might.
Am sure he tried getting power just for her sake, not his, he loved her so much that he was willing to forgive such n act ” Please, you should just hate me, am the worst, you should kill me ”
He stand firm “You will remain my wife and yet a maid in the palace ” Josephine fall to her knees ” That should be enough punishment, li-mu” I look left and noticed him, standing beside Lady Margaret, I could see the hatred he has for Josephine
” Milord?”
” Take your sister to the maid section ” That made my eyes widen, li-mu is Josephine’s brother? Judging from everything, this must be her elder brother.
” As you wish milord ” the walk away and I look at a tired, heartbroken man who leans on Lady Margaret, exhaling, I bend down and try to make everything seem organized in my head.
Josephine never love Dracula the way he did, she cheated on him with Edward, got power, came back, kill Edward, and gave Josephine punishment as a maid but still love her. And there is Lady Margaret who helps him throughout his power search, she must have loved him too, he did something to make Lady Margaret hate him.
But what?
Why will my mother hate me too?
” Are you okay?” Margaret asks while Dracula looks at her “What do you…….” He didn’t let her finish her sentence before kissing her, he must have been at his limit, probably thought a shoulder to hold and lean on was what he needed and Margaret not knowing fell deep for him.
Turning around, I just kept moving since the past is not changing, looking at my hands, I notice it’s slowly vanishing, won’t I know the rest of the story? I want to know why Dracula went to the heavens for a woman who didn’t even love him.
I want to know why he felt indebted to her. And the moment I finished that thought, I fall into a dark pit, just darkness, sounds coming from everything
” You have to stop, the child will die”
” I can’t stop it, I can’t stop the feeling, I want more ” that’s Dracula’s voice, everywhere become clear once more, he is alone in a room with Josephine, she is struggling, naked and pale… Dracula looks like he has lost it “The war is tomorrow” his fang elongates even more ” I need more ” and at that, he pulls her close, tears drop from her eyes as he drinks her dry.
He killed her the moment he lost control? In this world of campfire, Josephine was human? Do vampires drink vampire blood? That’s not right, which only means Josephine is not a vampire, and can’t be human either.

” Wake up “Diamond slap me and I quickly sit up, am in my chamber, my room ” The king is almost here, you have been unconscious for two days” She look worried ” I was starting to think you won’t wake me ”
” Did you bring me here?”
” Who else?”
Running my hands through my hair, I sit up properly. “Josephine betrayed Dracula” I mumble ” You mentioned I will feel guilty about getting between them, but she betrayed him, I don’t want him closer to her ”
” Crystal ” Diamond smiles “Can’t you see?” I frown at her words ” She betrayed him but he still kept her close, he wanted her at all cost, he had what you have “My brows furrow ” he was obsessed over her crystal, just like you are now”
” Am not obsessed”
” Do not deny the fact, Crystal, I have always watched you, I know how you sink in his chambers to sniff his clothes and that was creepy ”
” Why are you telling me this ”
” Don’t you think Muchen has the right to want who he loves? Yes Josephine has betrayed him, but if you had a better view of his life when she serve as his maid, they fell for each other, all over……they are meant to be together Crystal”
” Diamond ”
” He almost killed himself when he realized what he did to Josephine and at that time ” I look at diamond ” she was pregnant with their child, he killed both of them, they are other things you couldn’t see, crystal….. people make mistakes”

The door opened revealing Muchen, he look stressed and confused ” Jing ” he move closer, I look left, diamond is gone “Do not leave me ” he hold my hand in his “Cancel this divorce ” and then it hit me, I forgot all about my plan to leave him.
After everything, I think I want to do this more “You love Mona” I shake my head ” Josephine rather ” he looks shocked at that “Sorry, I invaded your privacy but now I know, I know you can’t leave her, I know you will choose her over me ” a tear drop from my eyes ” I did arrive late in your life ”
” Jing ”
” Is okay ” I smile ” I will leave you two alone, so please “Lifting my hands, I clean my tears ” So please let me go, I should find love too “Sniffing I look at him ” I deserve someone to be obsessed over me too ”
” What are you talking about?”
Getting up, I was getting angry ” I know everything, your past about Josephine, I know you love her, I know you can’t stay without her and you probably think you owe her because of what you did ”
” Jing ” he shake his head ” you got this all wrong ”
” You killed her and your child?”
” Yes ” he nodded ” I killed her and my child ” I watch how angry he looks, his hair isn’t even tied in a ponytail today, eyes are red ” You shouldn’t go into people’s memory like that” he is angry ” you will only get confused at the end ”
” Why did you forgive her?”
” Jing!!!”
” Answer me!!!” I yell back
He clench his hands and exhale ” I loved her, I couldn’t live with her ”
” And now? You still can’t live with her?”
” I can’t live without….” I didn’t let him finish before walking away from him, his grip around my hand, stopped me, am trying my best not to burst into tears and he is making it worst ” Jing”
” I don’t want to hear it ” he turn me around and kiss me, forcefully, I try fighting it but he didn’t move a bit, his tongue forced its way into my mouth, and a few minutes later, I responded to him, hands wrap around his neck and his grabbing my arse.
I could finally taste him, sweet and manly, mixed with the taste of red wine. I gasp when he bite my lower lip, softly then pull back ” I can’t live without you ” he mumbled while trying to catch his breath ” I love you ” Jn

CHAPTER FORTY- THREE: JING’S ANGER
” I love you ” Jing stared right into his eyes, how they watched her, trying to reach what was going on in her head ” Jing ”
” You love me?” Struggling out of his hold, I look at him You have decided to let Mona go? Impeach her?” He said nothing and I stared at him, knowing fully well he couldn’t let her go “So you didn’t mean it ”
” I did ”
” Then why should Mona remain here”
” She is my wife Jing ” ye growl, stepping back You’re being jealous for no reason, I told you I love you…….isn’t that enough?”
” Not entirely” I growl ” I don’t even need you to impeach her anymore, am leaving ” my gaze moves around my chamber ” am sick of being in these walls, I want a divorce ”
” I can’t give you that ”
” Am leaving either way ” Before I could leave, he held my hand, stopping me right where I stood “Let go ”
” Am afraid I can’t do that ” he growls ” I can’t lose you ”
” Why not!!!!”
” Because I can’t live without you!!! ”
” Then come with me ”
” What?”
” Impeach Mona or leave your throne for months and come with me ”
He chuckles, running his hand through his hair “Jing, Am King ”

” I know that fully well ” he was starting to steam up, I could see how angry he looked “Can’t you stop being this selfish”
” Forgive me if my attitude is causing you harm, I simply want to satisfy my own needs “Pulling my hands out of his, I smiled “Excuse me “I walked away, I could feel happy that I stood my ground and also sad that he will keep choosing Mona over me.
Muchen’s past makes no sense, it’s stupid that he would still love her. Even obsession should have its limit, I should feel sorry because he has always wanted her. Come to think of it, I don’t feel sorry about anything, Muchen is the stupid one, yes he killed her and his unborn child but so what?

” Jing ” I stopped walking when Queen Hua stopped me right where I stood, She had this evil smile on ” I finally found the evidence concerning Queen Xiang’s death” and then it hit me, I had forgotten completely about Hua and her wish to impeach me
” Don’t bother ” I smile ” am leaving the palace anyway ”
” Leaving?” She furrowed her brows and then stepped closer, I could feel more than one presence emitting from her You deserve death ”
” I didn’t kill Queen Xiang ”
” You sent someone to do it ”
” Do you have proof?” I step closer, not minding whatever creature she is “You have proof that says I was the one that sent whoever this person is?” She said nothing, I tapped her shoulder, smiled then walked away after my last three words ” I thought so ”
I didn’t bother to get in the carriage, just headed towards the queen dowager’s quarters, My thoughts kept swirling, they are a lot of things I wished to say to her before leaving, I knew she would forbid my leaving the palace, her fun games will come to a stop if I do
” That’s preposterous “Queen Dowager growled after I how down for greetings, I hadn’t even opened my mouth to tell her anything, rumors do fly fast
“Your Highness”
” If you behave this way, how will the other queens and concubines react !!!” She growls “You are the first queen ”
” Forgive me Your Highness “I mumbled, I looked her in the eyes ” I didn’t mean to bring shame to the queen’s quarters ” I smiled after those words left my mouth ” Is that what you expected me to say to you? From everyone, you should know how suffocating this place is ”
” Only losers will willingly want to leave this palace just because of such statements ”
” Yes, I suppose you speak the truth “I mumble, I exhale and then stand to my feet ” I am a loser, I don’t know what else to call myself ”
” Queen Jing ”
” I hate to admit this Your Highness but ” a smile didn’t even mistakenly appear on my face ” am glad I won’t get to see you anymore ” She frowned at that and I shrugged ” I do appreciate all the hardship you caused me ” I didn’t bother to wait for her reply before leaving her chambers and out of her quarters
” My queen” Fang approaches my direction ” Your belongings and carriage are ready for departure ”
Looking at her, I smile “Thank you, Fang, I will surely miss you ”
” My queen, other maids might not assist you but I will never leave your side ” I look at her, she has always loved staying by my side ” I will depart with you ”
” Are you certain?” She nods and I exhale ” I think that will be too much for you, I did all this to face the life outside, that too alone”
” My queen, do you know how to cook?” I stop talking at that ” Or wash your clothes?” Saying nothing, Fang giggles softly ” That’s why I must accompany you ”
” I didn’t think of that ” I smile and then look at the palace, my quarters, and everything, it feels like am about to drop a really heavy burden from my shoulders, a huge one at that ” I don’t think I will miss it here, I have suffered for a very long time ”
” I support your decision my queen ” Fang nodded “This place seems to be cursed “My gaze moved to my left and noticed a grinning Mona, she looked so happy and satisfied, that annoyed me “Fang”
” Milady?”
” How about Mona’s pregnancy, is the truth out yet?”
” People believe it’s just a silly rumor, the innocent Mona could never commit such a sin ” Fang responded and I nod
” Must be why she is looking happy ” Mona bowed her head after looking at me for minutes, I didn’t reciprocate, my hate glares remained in her direction “Let’s move ”
” Stop this madness “Hearing that voice, I turned around and looked at Muchen, it seemed he doesn’t want to give up “Stop all these and return to your quarters Queen Jing ”
I look at him, he looks pale and sick ” On what grounds?”
” It’s the king’s order, you obey it or…..”
I cut him off ” Or what?”
” You will be arrested for disobeying your king ”
” Wow,” I chuckle when I realize the guards standing behind him “Not only did you not choose me but now wish to disgrace me in front of all these people?”
” Disgrace?” He furrows his brows “You keep getting more selfish with each day that passes by ”
” Muchen ”
” What do you think Jing, place yourself in……” I knew where he was heading and I waved my hands to cut him short, my anger was starting to hit the surface
” For the last time, ” I growl” get out of my sight!!!!!!”
CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR: JING ANGER 2
Muchen watched how she growled, it was evident in her eyes, that anything I would do and say made no meaning to her right now, All I am is something she wished to not see ” Jing ” I growled, I can’t lose her, I just can’t let her go ” why don’t you believe it when I say I love you ” I step closer to her, fang step back….making sure no one else can listen to our conversation ” why do you doubt me ”
She furrowed her brows ” I need action Muchen ” her voice mixed with anger “Why do you wish to be with someone who betrayed you before and still did it again, That only means it’s in her blood ”
” You don’t know that ” I try defending Mona but it only gets to her nerves
” You love her ”
” I don’t ”
” Then why? Why do you keep doing this to me? ” Tears were trying to form in her eyes ” Why do you keep treating me this way ”
” I can’t impeach her ”
” Why not!!!!” I notice the jealousy and anger in her voice, why does Jing want me for herself alone? I have other wives, they are also humans “Why can’t you choose me!!!”
” Jing ”
” Do not stop me” she lifted her finger and warned me, Don’t you dare try to drag me back into those messy quarters” I followed her gaze to stare at Mona who was smiling “Enjoy your days with your wife, am out of this bondage ” I watch how she got into her carriage, fang accompanied her and they left.
I stand watching her leave my life and presence, With each distance she takes, it feels like little pieces of my life are going with her, I can feel my body getting weak.
Turning around, I watch Mona run in my direction ” Milord, are you okay?” Worry was in her eyes but I had nothing else to say to her “You need rest ” She tried helping me to walk, I had no idea when I slapped her hands off my body
” Do not lay your hands on me ” I growl and she steps back in disbelief “Just go back to your quarters and take care of that thing in your stomach yes I do care for Mona, even more now that I know she is Josephine but what Jing didn’t get is even if I care for her, that isn’t the reason I don’t want her leaving my sight.
Like I said, I don’t love Mona, I despise her but the care will always be there and the need to make her suffer continuously will always be there.
I didn’t kill Josephine mistakenly years ago, I wanted her dead which will give me enough reason to tell the witches that I need to get into the heavens.
I have always had a thirst for power, I got so drunk in it that I needed more with each day that passed by “Milord” I stopped in my hallway when Li-mu looked at me “Forgive my words but ” he frowns” Are you satisfied now?”
” Li-mu”
” You are my king but not all decisions you make are right ” I said nothing, he has always been against anything relating to Mona ” How could you let Queen Jing leave ”
” I will get her back”
” And how do you plan to do that?” He frowns “Kidnap her? Or you will impeach Mona, she betrayed you ”
” Silence”
” Milord!!!” It’s the second time Li-mu has raised his voice when talking to me ” I let you make this same mistake years ago, not anymore ” I frown at his choice of words
” What are you talking about ”
” You’re leaving the palace” he mumbles “The king will be going hunting for weeks from tomorrow”
” I do not feel like hunting ”
” You will go to Queen Jing milord ” he frowns, Whenever he is like this, I can’t stop him
” I don’t feel like it ”
” Milord ” he groans” when will you realize what you feel about Queen Jing ”
” I feel nothing ” Looking at Li-mu, a frown creeps onto my face ” I am incapable of loving anyone, not after the pain I passed through years back”
” I do not believe you ” he frowned” What happened in the heavens, Why did you delay more than necessary ” his words brought back painful memories I have been trying to forget
” Nothing you should concern yourself with ”
” What if I tell you that whoever you met there is the same person with the key to your life ” I blink and then look at Li-mu “Do not mess things up once more Milord, this is a second chance ”
Shaking my head I chuckle “What do you know what the heavens?” My gaze moves to the paintings on the wall “What could you possibly know about the key? All that happened is in the past, it holds no significant reason in my life ”
” and you still can’t get over Josephine betrayal ” li-mu growl ” I only wanted to say this Milord ” I looked at Li-mu while he bowed his head “Don’t lose Jing because of your childish way of thinking” he didn’t wait for my reply before leaving, something else was bothering me right now.
From all that Li-mu said, could it be that Jing is crystal?
