Chapter 21: OPEN IT.

I woke up only to see some one sitting by the edge of my bed, a pleased smile upon his face.
” Hey, ” the voice greeted.
Recognizing the voice, I forced myself to sit up. ” Hey, ” I greeted back.
Those pleased smile beamed widely, his hand touching my cheek, his face leaning close to mine. And I can’t stop from imagining how sweet it would feel having a taste of his l-ips.
” Miss? ” Hilda’s voice interrupted.
I finally woke up to the real reality, only to see Hilda shifting the curtains. I felt terrible and angry at the same time for Hilda’s disturbance.
All I wanted to do was, curl back up and sleep for another few hours. But I knew with Hilda still in my room, I shouldn’t.
Instead, I force my wary eyes open. I sat on my bed, throwing Hilda an angry look.
She had almost thought I was planning on being mean to her with the way she stood but, if only she had known what she did.
A silence settles over us as we just watch each other. ” You woke me up in the best part of my dream. ” I said, sitting up.
I saw as she forced herself not to laugh. ” What?! ” I queried.
” Why didn’t you have that sweetest part yesterday when you had the chance to? ”
” I couldn’t. ” I said, getting off from the bed. I stretched my self hærd, yawning hungrily.
” It could have been better if you had done it yesterday. ”
I paused, giving her a are-you-serious look. ” Thanks, Hilda for your concern, but I still couldn’t. ” I looked around my room, noticing that my cat is nowhere to be found.
” Where is Crystal? ” I asked.
” Who’s Crystal? ” She asked, confused.
” My cat. Where is she? ” I asked again.
“Oh, ” she gasped the word. ” She’s under your bed. ”
” Under my bed?! ” I snap, ” What is she doing under my bed? ” I pulled up the blanket to see Crystal snoring soundly.
Her head rested on her arms, she looked just like she was ready to take a photo shoot. ” Crystal? ” I called.
She stretched at my first call, her sky bluish eyes popping at me. ” Meow. ” I chuckled.
” Good morning, Crystal. How was your night?” She meowed again, ” mine was great too. ” I took her into my arms, placing a k-ss on her head.
I wanted to give her to Hilda but at first she refused. She stared at Hilda and Hilda was staring back at her and they looked as if they were a criminal and a cop in a crime scene.
” Hi, Crystal. ” Hilda waved at her as if this was their first time meeting. All she did was to blink back at her.
” Guess she must have forgotten my face. ” She said.
I shrugged.” Or maybe, her wary eyes isn’t cleared up yet. You know, she just woke up from sleep few minutes ago. ”
” But she was able to recognize you. ”
” That’s because she knows my voice. ”
Finally, she meowed at Hilda which means she was free to carry her. She took her from my arms into hers, while I went to take my bath.
While I sat in the bathtub, I recalled everything that happened yesterday. I can’t believe I finally had to admit my feelings to him.
Even getting to the extent of pulling myself into his embrace, and I found comfort doing that. Now I am free like a new child, adapted to the fact that I live among wolves.
I feel safe with him being an animal. Right now, I don’t think I care about those stuffs anymore. I mean, who actually cares by the way? Right now, the most important thing is that he loves me.
And I love him too.
I stepped out of the bathroom, seeing as she played with Crystal. I dressed up, and after I was done, I started eating my breakfast.
Not quite long Hilda had returned the tray of plate back to the kitchen, I with Crystal left to meet Mrs Green.
We haven’t gotten to the kitchen yet, but we were still able to perceive the aromatic smell of the hot pancakes which filled the entire quarter.
Crystal almost dragged herself out of my grip but I quickly pulled her back. ” Hey, where do you think you are going to, huh? ” I asked bending to pick her up, ” That pancake will get to you too, okay?”
We continued to the kitchen, we got to the door, just then Mrs Green was bringing out the last pancakes out from the hot oil.
” Good morning, Mrs Green.” I waved at her.
” Good morning, dear. And who do we have here? ” She said cleaning her both hands as she approaches us. ” What’s your name, little cat? ” She asked Crystal who returned her question with a blink.
” Her name is Crystal. ” I said.
” Crystal. Hmm. That’s a pretty name for a cat like you. ” She touched her nose, giggling. ” So, tell me the lesson went perfectly well. ” She said, focusing her gaze at me.
” It did. Although, I didn’t put all the practices especially in the part of keeping an eye contact. ” She laughed at me.
” I wasn’t expecting you to get that part a hundred percent. Maybe you aren’t that used to men, I’d say. ”
” Of course not, I am used to anyone. I would say, I ain’t used to him yet. ”
” So, what later happened? ”
” I told him. ”
” You told him what? ” She asked, curious.
” I told him my heart. I told him I was ready to know him, not minding the doubts and fears and the negative believes. ” She nodded her head.
” You did the right thing. I’m very proud of you that you are beginning to understand why you are here. Not withstanding the fact about the gender difference or whatsoever it may be, I’m happy you are finally ready to accept your fate.”
” And he brought me this kitten. ”
Her eyes w¡dened in excitement. ” You told him your favorite pet? ”
” He asked. ”
” Wow! ” She exclaimed excitedly, ” Miss you are so damn lucky. Come, ” she dragged me to where she kept the pancakes, ” you need to have some taste of it.”
” I’m not hungry. ” I refused.
” I know you aren’t but you need to have at least one. And our little kitten needs some too. ” She noticed as Crystal’s eyes glared at the pancakes the wh0le time we’ve been in here.
She dropped a round of pancake into a small plate, placing it in front of Crystal. She struggled to go free in my arms and I let her go. She was a slow eater so, she slowly grinded on the pancake.
” I bet she love it. ” Mrs Green said, admiring her.
” Yes, she does. You’re the best cook, who wouldn’t? ” We chuckled.
I ate a round of my pancake in two minutes but Crystal was still in a half of hers. I hate to stay where she eats, especially when you needed to be some where in a hurry.
” So, ” back to me, ” did you two… you know k-ssed? ”
” Mrs Green. ” I grunted.
” What? Every lady would want to have their first k-ss with some one like him.”
” I don’t wanna talk about that part. I don’t think that should be done yesterday or now either. ”
” So when should it be done then? ” She asked. ” Next year? ”
I scratched the back of my neck, speechless.
I checked on my wrist watch. ” It’s almost eleven. I gotta go now. ” Didn’t actually want to be specific cause I’m pretty sure she already know my reasons.
” Have a nice moment!”
” Thanks. ”
I didn’t want to stressbmyself with the occasional wears all in the name of meeting with my mate? So I wore the normal jean and t-shirt, heading to his room.
Not with Crystal this time, this was a moment for my mate and I.
I knocked on his door. ” Come in.” I heard him say.
I walked in, shutting the door. ” Mas…” I was just about to say the word when he walked out of his bathroom.
I quickly turned my back, covering my eyes with my hands. I didn’t want to commit sin, no not now.
Then I felt his hand on my shoulder, I shivered still not wanting to open my eyes. He turned me around that I was now facing him.
He touched my hands, slowly pulling it down. And his soft voice echoed in my ears the moment he said the words. ” Open it. ”

Chapter 22: FIRST k-ss.

” Open your eyes. ”
I slowly opened my eyes, he was now putting on a shirt. I shyly looked at his face for a while, then I took it off, staring at the ground.
” It’s time you stop calling me Master, I’d prefer it if you call me by my name. ” He calmly said to me.
I rose my eyes at him, ” Kaden. ” The word softly escaped my mouth like a whisper, leaving him to smile.
” Guess I’ve got to cherish the time. ” He said, heading to his bed.
” What time? ”
” Eleven o’clock. ” He smiled again, and I grinned at the s₱0t I stood.
” Would you mind for anything? ” He asked.
” Do you have to keep asking me that each time I come here? ” I asked.
” I ask that to every one and… I give what ever to my visitors. ” He simply said.
” But I am not your visitor. ” I said.
” You don’t have to be my visitor before I can offer any thing to you. Do you think I would just let you in and start up a conversation… Just like that? It’s time you see how much worth you are to me. ”
Shoving his hair to the back, he asked. ” Would you mind for a walk with me? ”
I nodded swiftly, loving the idea. ” Yes, I do. ”

” You still haven’t introduced me to your friends and families since you brought me here. ” I started, breaking the silence.
” I wanted you to get used to the pack first before doing that. But now you have, ” he smiled, ” I’ll do that any time from today. ”
” What are they like? I mean, are they humans like you? ” I asked.
” Yes, they all are. Are you scared of meeting them? ” He asked back.
” Well, I won’t say I am or ain’t but… maybe I guess. ” I admitted.
” You don’t have to worry about them, I will have to talk to them first before I introduce you. ”
” Why not just introduce me to them with out seeking for their consent? ”
” It’s not safe doing that. Not all are easy to understand. ”
” Mmm, ” I hummed, ” I see, that makes you a lot different from them. ” He smirked at me. ” Well, from the little I know about you, you aren’t that bad as I thought. And not really like them either. ”
He smiled, and I just noticed he’s been doing that since we left his room. Every word I said made him smile, and I wondered if I was talking some thing senseless.
” Why are you smiling? ” I frowned.
” Nothing. ”
” Guess I was being too sentimental at describing you. ”
” No, you didn’t. I was just… ” He paused, glaring at me. I still wore the angry face, waiting for him to give me a good explanation. ” You make me smile each time you get angry. ”
I frowned the more. ” Oh, so you find pleasure watching me get angry, huh? What kind of mate are you? ” I folded my hands around my chest.
” You’re just so beautiful when you frown.” I lightened my face, waving the frown off.
” Is that supposed to make me smile or laugh? ”
” Maybe both. ” He shrugged
” Well, it didn’t. ”
” Look, ” he placed his hands on my shoulder, ” you don’t have to do either o…” The buzzing sound of his phone interrupted him.
He took his phone out from his back pocket, checking on the caller, he cut the call.
” Why did you cut the call? ”
” I’m busy right now and that can wait. ”
” No, you don’t have to. It might be urgent, who knows. ” It rang again, ” answer it. ”

He had no choice but to pick it up,” Hello, Mr Hudson. ” Said the caller from the other side of the line.
” Mr Carter. ”
” Thank goodness you answered. ” He sighed in relief, ” I almost lost hope you would pick my call. Well, ” he went straight to the main point, ” the company needs you now. There seems to be a serious problem at hand. ”
” I am a little busy right now, I will get to you as soon as I am done. ”
” Okay, I’ll inform the boss. Thanks by the way. ” He hung the call.
” Is there a problem? ” Illiana asked, worried.
” Yes, but not a major one. ” He answered.
” If it’s so important then you have to go. ” He was halfway to put his phone back into his pocket, when she had said those words he looked at her.
” I can’t trade this moment for any thing or any one else. It can hold for a while, right now you are my problem. ”
” Kaden, listen to me. You have to go, besides we can have such moment some other time. Maybe tomorrow or even the next, besides I’m not leaving to any where. ”
” You know, I really wanted today to be special for the two of us. ”
” I know, and I ain’t complaining. ” She say gently.
He narrows his eyes at her.
” Only if you promise not to force me to leave the next second we meet. ”
She smile, ” I promise. ”

He was staring deep into my eyes like he was still contemplating if he should go or not. ” Why… ”
I was seconds from asking him why he was still standing, but he surprises me by leaning forward, capturing my l-ips, and my unspoken words.
To feel his l-ips on mine is, unexplainable. I had expected him to pull away but instead, his l-ips moved passionately against mine.
My only hope is to respond, wishing the feeling of his soft l-ips would never have to abandon mine. I curled my fingers into his soft textured hair, pulling his face a bit closer like I wasn’t having enough of his warm k-ss.
I broke the k-ss, staring into those green eyes, ” They’ll be waiting for you. ”
He pecked me on my l-ips before leaving to the garage. I smiled as I watched him from where I stood, zoom out of the compound.
I touched my l-ips, smiling idiotically at myself. Then Hilda’s voice snapped my thoughts off. I grunted turning to the direction of her voice, not again.
she was chasing after Crystal who was one mile away from her.
I forgot how angry I was, smiling at the way she chased after her. Crystal finally stopped at a place, swinging her small tiny tail.
” Crystal, don’t you ever do that again. ” She said, picking her from the ground. ” You almost made me look crazy chasing after you. Guess we’ll both have to share your dinner as an apology. ”
” No way, ” I refused, ” you can’t starve her for this. Besides, you look great running. ” I teased.
” Yeah, thanks, but that’s not funny at all. I can’t believe I have to babysit a stubborn pet like her. ” She hissed.
” But at least she is still cool, right? ”
” Yeah, a little. ”
” Where’s Alpha Kaden? ” She asked.
” He left for an important meeting few minutes ago. Come on, let’s go in,side. ” I hung my hand around her shoulder, as we happily chatted while heading to my room.
” How did the meeting go? ” She asked.
” It went well, and fantastic too. ”
” Did you two k-ssed? ” I wanted to lie to her but, it was so obvious on my face that we really did k-ss each other.
