Episode 21
*I picked the call.
Me : Yeah.
Caller : You don’t want to release my men yet right.
Me : It will be very hærd to release your men
Caller : very hærd, Oh i see, may i remind you that we still have your friend with us and am giving you till this week runs out, please Mr Nicholas don’t be so dull. Or I’ll kill your friend in cold blood.
Me : You will do no such thing
Caller (Laughed) Remember till this week runs out.
*He hanged up*
Natasha : Who was that??
Me : The fool, he has tunde, he wants his men to be released by the police.
Natasha : For what??
Rebecca : Why would someone want to put me in the middle of all this?
Me : I just pray you have no hands in this.
*i walked up stairs with Natasha, while i wait for the period Mrs Amanda will want to make a move, I’ve not been to the hotel ever since the attack.
I keep on thinking of catching the person behind this, I called Kingsley for him to get the cameras, south and jimoh, Yvonne transfered money into his account, Mrs Amanda came to check on Yvonne, the smile on Yvonne’s face when she see Mrs Amanda is something else… She so much like this Mrs Amanda, that’s why she won’t let me proceed, but she have no options, I looked at the way they were laughing. It looks likes no human can break the love they have for each other, but what if Mrs Amanda was stabbing her in the back, well time will tell.
She once told me that Mrs Amanda has been like a mother to her. Hmm, Cool.
The day goes down slowly, the police called to know if we know anybody called Rebecca, but we hide Rebecca’s identity from the police. I went to check how the visitors were doing, after checking on them i went to sit in the garden, I was still at the garden, Natasha and Rebecca came to meet me, they told me that they can’t stay if nobody trusts them, I told them that they should not leave because is no more safe out there, and also the person that wants her life to be in danger will have a great opportunity to deal with her. She think for a while before changing their mind. We talked of so many things, Yvonne came to join us, she asked Rebecca to forgive her, she forgives her we all laughed as if the family is cool.
It’s 7 O’clock pm when i got in,side with Yvonne, we sat together on the chair, watch movies together, until Mrs Amanda came out from her rooms to tell us that she wants to see a friend outside, Yvonne told her not to go, that it is not safe but she insist, and promised to be back shortly, I only told her to be careful, she left the house, I walked to the kitchen to make a call to avoid Yvonne from knowing my plans over Mrs Amanda.
I called Kingsley, he told me that south and jimoh have already followed her up, I hope this works out.
I went back to join Yvonne, she was enjoying the movie, it is now 9pm, we waited for Mrs Amanda to return but she didn’t, I also called Kingsley he didn’t pick up, Yvonne starts wondering what was keeping her, I told her she’ll be fine, we waited for so long, I called Kingsley over and over again but he didn’t pick… Then i knew something has gone wrong.
Not quite long when Mrs Amanda rushed in,side, her body was splashed with blood stains, her heart was beating fast, Yvonne and i rushed to hold her, fear was written in her face… Natasha and Rebecca came in,side to know what was happening, I wasn’t comfortable anymore, I called Kingsley immediately he picked, he told me jimoh have been shot, that they are on their way home.
Yvonne was crying out load, Yvonne asked her what happened, she said… She was attacked by some guys. Then i knew she is working for our enemies out there.
Mrs Amanda is the face behind the mask.

(Yvonne was crying, she expect me to do something, but i never want to help, but the look in her face tells it all).
Yvonne : (crying) Nick please don’t stand there, help her.
(I help to carry her, she was not injured but fainted due to the shock, we carried her into her room, I don’t care even if she is dead, Rebecca and Natasha went to get boiled hot water to clean her body, I left them to do the female things, immediately i left her room, a call came in, it’s Kingsley…
Me : Hello Kingsley
Kingsley : Yeah, we have something for you, but it’s late. First thing tomorrow, I’ll get it.
Me : Ok, how is jimoh…?
Kingsley : He is fine, the bullet affected only his left hand, but didn’t go deep, he will recover
Me : Thank God… Please i need prove, because my fiancee won’t believe me if i tell her the truth. And tunde is still with the enemies
Kingsley : we have enough prove.
Me : Ok… Take care of jimoh, hope south is cool?
Kingsley : Yeah
Me : Stay cool, bye *i hanged up*
(The ladies was busy in Mrs Amanda’s room, I can’t think of any other thing, I don’t know what will happen next, the enemies will want to do something bad to tunde, since they will find out i sent gangs against them, the worst is that I’ve not heard from him to know if he is ok.
My phone rings again… This time, Its my enemy.
Me : What do you want this time ?
Caller : You sent gangs against me right.
Me : What do you mean?
Caller : Congratulations to them for killing one of my men. This time am ready to kill your friend in cold blood.
Me : Wait!!! What do you want?
Caller : (laughed) You turned my enemy since the day you stepped foot in that home and I’ll watch you regret it. *he ends the call*
(To my self’ Hmmm, since the day i stepped foot in this house, What did he mean by that, Who is he?**)
(What is all this, I asked my self… When will all this stop, I hate it all.)
Yvonne and the girls later came out from Mrs Amanda’s room, Yvonne came to sit by my side while Natasha and Rebecca went to their room, I asked Yvonne how Mrs Amanda is doing.
Yvonne : She is sleeping, but Nick you never wanted to help Mrs Amanda, I saw it in your face.
Me : (surprised) Why won’t i want to help her?
Yvonne : What is happening, do you have any issues with her
Me : No… I was just confused that moment.
Yvonne : Hmmm, Alright… Why would someone want to kill her.
Me : I don’t know… But nothing is hidden under the sun.
Yvonne: what do you mean by that?
Me : I mean, one day we will catch the person.
Yvonne : I just hope so.
(She lean on my shoulder, until she starts feeling dizzy, we both move to our room to sleep, the next day very early Kingsley came, he called me to tell me that he is at the visitors quarters, I looked at Yvonne’s face, she was still sleeping.
I get down from the bed and walked straight to the visitors quarters, I meet Kingsley with olamide and Dan, I shake them and Kingsley handed over a tape to me and a picture of Mrs Amanda with a guy. Who is this guy?? He told me he believed the guy is the one holding tunde as an hostage… And he is the boss of the assassins.
I thanked him and rushed straight to the main building, Yvonne was still sleeping but i waked her up immediately,
(handed over the picture to her)
Yvonne : what is this?
Me : do you know the people in the picture…
Yvonne : (She looks closer to the picture)Mrs Amanda and ….. Is this not Anderson, what is Mrs Amanda doing with my ex, who gave you this?
Me : (surprised) Anderson? Your Ex??
Yvonne : Answer me first, who gave you this?
Me : Its the boys i set as spy, and that’s where Mrs Amanda got that blood stains from
Yvonne : (shocked) What!!!!???
(I showed her the tape, she told me to play it..)
After playing the tape “Yvonne fainted”
“Hope you wanna know what we heard on the tape??””
