Grace swallow hærd and after Arthur recover from his shocking state, he arched a questionable brow.

” Arthur I never wanted you to find out in this way ” Grace defended.

” S.. so we’re you lost children ” Arthur stuttered confusedly.

” Yeah…. am your real mum ” Grace spill.

“How is this possible ” Arthur muttered in confusion. He gasp silently.

Grace came closer to him in an intend to stop cooed him, but she was stop in her track.

” Don’t you dear touch, how is this possible, I can’t believe this. How are you my mum” Arthur roar pointing is finger at her and Grace flinched.

” Arthur is true, I got many explanation to do, I never wanted you to find out this way coz I know you’ll be hurt, please forgive me ” Grace lamented.

” No it can’t be true, it so kind of trick” Arthur snapped.

” I was in jail for twenty years, that why i handled you and your twin sister to Mandy coz i can never take care of you while in jail. I have told you the story before” Grace stated.

Arthur felt anger in his chest. He glare at Grace. He didn’t answer her and he matched out of the room, Grace followed him.

Arthur scurried fast down the stairs, he was going to meet Mandy, because he wanted her to do some explanation too. He scurried to his car, Grace also scurried to match up with his pace.

When he got go his car and press the car knob to open it. Grace shouted

” please don’t drive in anger , it’s isn’t good ” Grace warn, but Arthur was too infuriated to listen to her. He open the car door and close it in a way that made Grace flinched.

He drove like a mad driver. Grace feared that something might happen to him. So she decided to follow him.

She scurried to down the road and luckily she saw a cab immediately and hailed it. It stopped and she got into the cab. Arthu’s car was a long distant away, but was still in sight.

” Please can you follow that car ” She demanded keeping her eyes on the road to see if Arthur was there. Arthur’s car was still in sight, but slowly fading away.

” Sorry ma’am, I don’t follow cars, it against ma ethics ” the driver rebuke.

Arthur’s car wasn’t in sight anymore.

” Just take me to San Andreas ” she said feeling annoyed that Arthur wasn’t in sight anymore.

” Sorry, I can’t go that far, I will drop you at the bus stop. You can take the bus to San Andrea ” the driver said.

Grace sighed.

“Okay ” she replied, her intend was to follow Arthur so nothing will happen to him. But she knew Arthur was heading home. Maybe she will come across him on her way.

The cabman took Grace to the bus stop and she boarded the bus to San Andrea.

She saw Arthur car passing by. The bus moved.

Arthur alighted angrily and he went in,side. He met Alyssa at the parlor. She inquired why he was mad coz it was obvious on his face.

” Is mum at home ” he roar, taking Alyssa in surprise.

” Yeah, what wrong ” She ask in astonishment coz of Arthur’ s behaviors.

He didn’t answer her, he just went up stairs to her room where he assume her to be.

She was in her room.

” Mum ” he bark.

Mandy turn in surprise coz this was the first time Arthur yelled at her.

” What wrong ” Mandy panicked.

” I know everything mum, can you care to explain” Arthur fired.

Alyssa scurried upstairs .

” What do you know, I don’t understand ” Mandy said neviously. She already have idea of what he was saying, he must have find out she thought.

” What is it Arthur, why yelling at mum” Alyssa fired at Arthur, coz she was annoyed at the way Arthur was behaving.

” Mum is it true, is Grace our real mum” Arthur Inquired, is voice was calm now. He just need answer.

Mandy felt that the ground should swallow her, she isn’t prepared to answer this. She just stood frozed.

” What “Alyssa exclaimed in shock.

Alyssa could not believe her ears.

” What are you talking about” Alyssa yell out him.

” Mum should answer that ” Arthur said.

” Mum what’s he talking about coz I don’t understand ” Alyssa said look at Mandy.

Mandy couldn’t believe that Grace would betray her by going to tell the kids. She thought Grace is planning to make the kids hate her. She wouldn’t let that happen, instead she will make the kids hate Grace.

After I have taking care of this kids for twenty years and Grace think she can just come and claim them and make them hate me, never, Mandy said inwardly. She was jolted back to her reality with Arthur asking questions.

” Mum please tell me is not true ” Arthur said, taking her silent as yes, it’s true.

Mandy sighed.

” Am sorry Arthur and Alyssa am not your real mum, Grace is ” Mandy drop the bombshell.

Alyssa leapt back a little, she as more shocked. Arthur felt both anger and pain.

” Nooo ” he yell dejected.

He felt his heart broken into pieces. He never wanted this to be true even after seeing that photo and Grace after told him that Mandy wasn’t their mum.

Alyssa let out a squawk. She felt heart broken as well.

” But what ever she told you wasn’t the real truth. Grace was a murderer, she went to jail coz of it. She probably must have told you that she went to jail for self defense, but the truth is she went to jail coz she was a mistress and killed the man’s wife she was having affair with. They caught her and she was convicted for murder and was sentence to twenty years. At that time I was her close friend, but was against her affair with a married man from day one, I advice her but she never paid any attention to me. Later she found out that she was pregnant and when she deliver you and you sister, she handled them over to me. I and Dace took it upon us to train you,i usually send photos to her. But six years ago I stop coz I thought she might come to claim both of you and if that happens she might teach you all the wrong ways of life” Mandy lied, twisting everything, making Grace look like a bad person.

” And Alyssa you saw me in that room with Grace, she was probably threaten me that I shouldn’t try anything stupid with her. I thought she have changed, but she was the same. I was crying coz she told me, she will soon take the kids away. But she hugged me whispering those words in my ear and it hurt ” she lied to Alyssa, making sure she cover any doubt that might come into Alyssa mind.

Arthur and Alyssa couldn’t believe it. But Arthur doubt if that could be true. When he first saw Grace, his instinct told him she was a nice, sweet woman. And also the way she behave towards him was very affectionate.

Arthur couldn’t believe that Grace will be this cunning. Alyssa also couldn’t believe, she seem nice to her.
But Arthur and Alyssa are left with no choice than to believe the woman they have knew as mum coz their mother can never tell lies, they thought.

Just then Grace arrived, she met the door ajar and went in. She heard noises coming from upstairs so she went. She heard the noises coming from Mandy’s room and went there.

” So you know, Grace is evil ” Mandy said, Grace heard it and was shock.

Mandy arched a brow and saw Grace,the twins turn to where she was looking out. Alyssa frown and Arthur felt infuriated.

” We know everything now, Mum as explain it to us ” Arthur blurted out, putting his hand in his pockets. Alyssa folded her hand looking at Grace with hatred.

” You’re a vile ” Arthur said sarcastically.

” Mandy what have you fill their heads with” Grace yell out Mandy.

” No need to try your tactics, they are so many evil plot behind those innocent face of yours ” Alyssa spat.

” What ever Mandy must have told you is not true at all, she is deceiving you guys ” Grace defended.

” Uh, How can a woman who have an affair with a married man be a mother, we’re product of your disgrace any way, you dare threatened my mum. You might be my real mum, but we have grown up to love Mandy. She is better than you in many ways ” Arthur gibe

Grace have heard a enough. She went closer to Mandy.

” After I forgave you for keeping my children away from me for six years, you went ahead to feel their brain with things that are not even true about me. How selfish and disgusting of you” Grace fired at Mandy.

She gave Mandy a slap. The kids yell at her and order her rudely out of the house.

” Someday you will both come to know the truth ” She stated before living the house.

Grace went home woefully. Her heart was crushed. She wonder how could Mandy be this wicked. She as thought Mandy was the nicest person she as met. Her own childhood friend could betray her like. She couldn’t believe people can change like this.

Luna met her crying in her room. Grace told her everything.

” Such a bitch ” Luna cussed.

Luna promise to make sure they will learn the truth.

The next day, Grace as decided to live in a nursing home. All effort by Luna to convince her to stay was futile. So Luna gave up.

Luna drop her in the same nursing home her grandpa lives. She never knew why Grace made that discussion.

She went to Grace’s room, memories of she and Grace came flashing back. She as saw a mother in Grace. She will surely bring the children to her, well fortune shined. She found Grace’s diary lying on the bed.

” What of if I bring this diary to Arthur, he will learn the truth ” Luna said and smiled. She was full of ecstasy.

On the same day, she drive to Los Angeles. When she got to Mandy’s house. She alighted majestically, but she prayed Mandy wasn’t around.

She knock at the door hoping that Mandy wouldn’t open the door or it was gonna be a mess.

Arthur was the one who open the door. She was glad.

“Luna ” Arthur called surprised.

” Take this ” she said, handled over the diary to him.

He stare at the diary and then to her.

” read it , is your mum’s diary , then you will know among both women which is cunning , your real mum and the woman you know as mum” Luna said, and Arthur arched a brow.

” What ” Arthur exclaimed.

” Yeah, when you’re done with it, you and your twin should go and meet your mum at Leland ave in San Jose. She is in a nursing home, the name of the building is Happy home. This diary will revive the truth ” Luna said.

She left after that.

Arthur stare at the diary

,” should I read it” he contemplate on whether to read it or not
