Annabelle eyes flew opened with shock, this was the last thing she had expected him to do. She is wants to push him away but she couldn’t. Instead, she found her eyes closing back. She felt the goosebumps… Butterflies..
Ethan pulled away from her slowly, his eyes observed her expression as she opened her eyes too.
Realization hit Annabelle and she quickly disconnected herself from him.
“Why did you do that?” She asked.
“Because I’ve wanted to.. but I’m sorry if I upset you in that way..” he made to come close to her but she warned.
“Stay back” she exhaled sharply. “Did you poison me? Why is my heart beating so fast?” She asked.
Ethan let out a chuckle. “It’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with you. Your heart beating fast means you feel the same way”
“What way” she asked almost immediately.
Just before he could reply, Annabelle’s little phone rang.
“That’s pretty outdated Belle” he said lightly.
“from now on, Stay away from me” Annabelle said.
“I can’t do that” He shrugged.
“I’m serious here” she said.
“I’m serious too, I’m not letting you distant yourself from me” he said.
Annabelle’s small phone rang again. “I’m leaving” she turn to leave.
“I’ll see you around” he said.
“No” she said and left immediately.
“Clumsy” Ethan muttered. His mind drift to the kiss and his lips curved up.

Getting to the car waiting for her, Annabelle got in and shut the door close. Her heart was still beating fast, she still can’t get the scene out of her head. It was as if his lips is still on hers.. she didn’t hate it.
A light grunt escaped from the huge man sitting beside her.
“It’s nothing scar” Annabelle snapped out of her thought and said to him.
Scar grunt again.
“I said nothing happened, now can we leave?” She said putting on her seatbelt.
They got to the clan after 10 minutes. Annabelle got into her room and found Ricky sitting on her chair with a book in his hand, his aura cold.
“What’s going on?” She asked.
Ricky checked wrist watch and then look up before standing up to walk towards her.
“Who is he?” He asked still walking close to her.
“What are you talking about?” She asked.
“Oh, you know so well what I’m talking about” He glared. “That guy who held you at the party, who is he?”
“None of your business” she replied.
“Is he the one you meet at midnight?” He asked getting the pieces together. Annabelle turn quiet and his eyes widened. “What the fuck! I’m covering you up just for you to meet a guy at night?”
“He is the one teaching me how to use computers” Annabelle defended.
“You know what? You’re not allow to see that motherfucker again..”
“You can’t control me!!” Annabelle cut, her eyes cold.
“Oh yeah, how about I tell Lord Smith about you sneaking out in the middle of the night right under his nose” He said.
“How about I also tell him.. you’ve been sleeping with Bianca for a while now and that’s forbidden. Bianca is a toy for only Lord Smith”
Ricky couldn’t say anything but glare.
“I guess we are even” Annabelle said. “Stop coming into my room by the way. It’s annoying” she pointed her chin to the door.
“You better don’t do anything else than to study.. I mean it” he said and walked out of the room. His face turn colder. “I’m going to find that motherfuckers” he muttered and left.

(NEXT DAY… BRILLIANT HIGH)
Ethan and the other students was busy waiting for the walking sign to run towards the school. He felt someone hit his back a little. It was Liam.
“Hey” Liam greeted awkwardly.
“Hey” Ethan greeted back in the same tone.
Liam took a deep breath. “I.. uhm.. about yesterday. I’m sorry for what I said” he apologized.
“I’m also sorry for grabbing you like that too” Ethan also said.
“You’re pretty strong” Liam said and they both chuckled and look at each other. That’s one thing about them. Their fight never take long.
“You’re pretty strong too” Ethan replied and Liam shook his head.
“My mom won’t stop bugging me last night. She wants to pay your mother a visit” Liam said.
“My mom hardly comes around these days. I wonder why she keeps working so hard” Ethan said.
The walking sign appeared.
Liam and Ethan looked at each other. A competition. They both run as fast as they could. Ethan barely won Liam.
Liam crouched down. “I.. guess I ate too much this morning” he said in between his breath.
“Winner” Ethan muttered with a smile. Liam walked towards him and warp his arm around his neck.
“By the way, where were you yesterday? Don’t tell me you sneaked out” Liam said.
“Why else? I did sneaked out. It was pretty fun” Ethan said. His smile disappeared when he spot the chubby security that caught them yesterday, before him. Mrs Chancellor was also beside him, they both have a serious look.
“And, I’m in trouble” Ethan mumbled.
Liam removed his hand Instantly. “I didn’t sneak out with him” he quickly said.
“Snitch” Ethan gave him a glare.
“Leave young man” Mrs Chancellor said to Liam and he did. He gave Ethan a wink and chuckled.
“Hi again” Ethan said to the chubby security who gave him a glare in return.

Selene was about to enter the class when Liam stood on her way.
“Fuck off” She warned.
“I’m not hearing that today, we need to talk” he said dragging her. She tried to pinch his hand away but he wasn’t giving in.
“What is wrong with you?,” Selene snapped when they got to a quiet corner.
“You are!” He said trying to keep his voice low. “Okay what you saw at the party isn’t what you think.. it has a reason” He said.
“A reason? Sexing a teacher has a reason?” She asked.
“Why are you so riled up about this. It isn’t new seeing a student going out with a teacher” he said.
“Then why are you trying to explain yourself? Goodbye Liam” she said and made to leave but was drag back by him.
“It’s because I don’t want you to see me as a jerk okay? It has a reason” he said.
Selene folded her hands below her breasts. “What reason?” She asked.
Liam explained everything to her even the part where Mrs Charlotte threatened him.
“What?! Why did you keep this away from us?” Selene was already fuming in anger.
“I didn’t know how to tell you guys. It was really hard for me” Liam said.
“You still should have told us, I’m going to break that bitch bones right now!” Selene fired and made to leave but Liam held her.
“Fuck Selene! You can’t just challenge her like that, she has a video” Liam said.
“She has no video Liam, she is just using that to blackmail you”
“And how would you know that?”
“I’m going to prove it you” Selene said having some wild thought going on in her head.

Patricia spot Barbara and Daniel talking to each other. Barbara changed her seat and now she is left alone.
Her eyes was on Daniel the whole time. He was busy smiling and chatting with her. Why is she feeling a bit weird about this.
She stood and went towards them.
Barbara’s expression changed, while Daniel’s remain the same.
“Hey Barbara” she greeted, her voice dripping with distain.
“Hey Patricia” Barbara said in a mimicking tone.
“Daniel, can I talk to you?” Patricia asked Daniel.
“No, he’s busy.. and when did you start acting all goodey to him?” Barbara spoke instead.
“I didn’t talk to you miss pussy” Patricia said.
“Hm, I guess Jennifer was right. Your pussy is smelly” Barbara said.
“What did you just say?” Patricia flared up and hit Barbara on the face. Barbara returned the slap instantly and stand up to grab Patricia’s hair.
“Bitch!!” They both yelled at the same time.
Daniel eyes widened as both girls turn the class upside down with their battle.
Jennifer shook her head. She glance through the class and see non of her friends. Her mind drifted to Ethan. She decided asked for him and was told he is discussing with Mrs Chancellor.

Annabelle stayed seated in the empty classroom with a teacher.
The door opened, Mrs Chancellor and Ethan walked in.
Annabelle quickly avert her gaze the moment thier eyes met. Her mind had been crazy since last night. The moment they had, flashed before her and she bit down her lips.
Ethan smiled staring at her, only he knew how much he wanted to see her again.
“Sit” Mrs Chancellor behested and Ethan obeyed sitting a bit close to Annabelle. “Make a distance please” she said.
“Why? I wanna be close to her” Ethan said.
Annabelle gave him a look. Can’t he be serious for once? Ethan also looked at her and winked. He’s crazy.
“Ethan!” Mrs Chancellor called out.
“Fine, I’ll do as you say” he said and finally moved away from her.
“Sneaking out of school is a great offence here and you be given a great punishment for doing that. You are to bring your parent or guardian in order to prevent expulsion” Mrs Chancellor said.
Annabelle’s eyes widened. Expulsion? There’s no way she can bring Lord Smith here.. This is bad.
“We sneaked out for a reason” Ethan siad and they all turn their gaze to him.
‘What is this weirdo doing? He is going to increase our punishment’ Annabelle thought to herself.
“I was feeling sick and Annabelle took me home” He lied.
“Is that true Annabelle?” Mrs Chancellor asked the girl. Ethan gave Annabelle a look as if asking her to trust him, but she can’t lie.. in fact she never did.
“You can ask the security man. He saw us leaving”
Annabelle eyes widened again.
Mrs Chancellor grunt lightly and asked for the chubby security presence. He came in after a while and was asked the question.
“Yes, he look sick” The man lied too.
Wait what?! Annabelle began to wonder what Ethan did to make this man lie.
“You said they jumped over the fence” Mrs Chancellor seems not to believe their word.
“Yes, uh… I actually helped them sneak out… Ethan doesn’t look good at all yesterday. I’m sorry Mrs” The security apologize.
“Why do I feel like you’re lying. This is not the story you told me yesterday” Mrs Chancellor eyes squinted.
“Yes, I just didn’t know how to say it sister. The poor boy was sick and I know you won’t let him go home so I had to help him” the chubby security said.
Sister?!
“I told you not to call me sister here Philip and the school have clinics.. gosh” Mrs Chancellor groaned out lightly. Philip is her younger lazy ass brother. She got this job for him just to keep him out of the house.
“All I did was to save a life sis” Philip shrugged.
“Fine you can leave” Mrs Charlotte rolled her eyes. Philip gave Ethan a look and left the class.
“Detention for both of you. I’m still going to find another punishment to add. You can go to your class” she said and left.

“Here is your reward” Ethan handed a small bag containing a ham Burger to Philip.
“The one with cheese?” Philip asked checking it out.
“Yeah.. I’ll bring another one tomorrow.. thanks for today” Ethan said and Philip left.
“That’s smart” Annabelle said.
Ethan return his gaze to Annabelle. “He is the most dumbest security here, we are safe now” He said.
“I’m never doing that with you again” She said to him.
“Which one? The sneaking, the fun we had or…” He stepped closer. Annabelle back touched the wall and he Lean close, her beats fast. “…the kiss”
Annabelle quickly palm her face, Ethan blinked.
“What are you doing?” He asked.
“Covering my face”
“Why?”
“I just feel like doing it” she said lowly.
“You don’t want me to kiss you?” He asked straightforwardly.
Annabelle removed her hand and shot a glare at him. “Stop saying that wor…”
Her word were cut short with Ethan swiftly peck her lips. He pull back and stared at her shock face. Her eyes were wide like that of the moon, her cheek so red, he find her cute.
“Kiss” He grinned.
Not far away Jennifer saw what happened. Her fist clinched into a tight ball. Did he just kiss that killer? Yes a killer.
“I need to see my coach to talk about the practice I missed yesterday, I’ll see you class” he touched her hair and left her there.
Annabelle mind was still in sync. She felt the butterflies again. Her heart was beating so fast. She reached for her lips and smile.
“Oh really?” She heard a voice and look up only to see Jennifer glaring at her.
Annabelle’s smile slowly died down, her aura changed and she return usual self.. cold.
“What do you want?” She asked.
“Nothing but for you to stay away from Ethan, he is not someone you can be with” Jennifer said.
“I’m not the one making the decision.. he is” Annabelle said in a sharp tone and made to leave.
“You’re a killer” Jennifer said, Annabelle stopped walking. “Ethan is sweet lovely person and there’s no way he will end up with someone like you” she said.
Annabelle turn to Jennifer again, this time, her lips curved up. “Are you jealous?”
Jennifer was surprised by her question. Jealous?
Annabelle walk back to her with slow steps.
“Yes you are girl, you’re jealous because even after he had known you for years, he still didn’t choose you” Annabelle cut through Jennifer like a knife.
Her smile died down and she spoke again. “A killer you say? Tssk..”
Annabelle walked closer to her and whispered.
“You and I know you wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t show up that night.. so quit being ungrateful”
