“Relax, barbie doll. You are not going to fall off”.
“Don’t I get a helmet or something? At least for safety”.
He stiffened staring at me. “You sound just like her”.
Oh Gosh!! All he thinks about is Bailey …
Does he miss me that much?
I cleared my throat. “Helmet?”.
“Oh right”.
He grabbed a black helmet and handed it to me. I took it and placed it over my head strapping the buckles under my chin.
“You good?”.
I nodded in response. “Yeah”.
He hopped on his motorcycle and looked at me expecting me to climb on as well. I took a deep breath before getting on it.
“So where exactly are you taking me?”. I asked him curiously.
“You’ll see”.
He revved the engine and I put my arms around his chest. He stiffened for a while before speeding off the parking lot.
I closed my eyes shut feeling the wind blow through my hair easing my muscles.
Oh, this is fun.
“Are you seeing this?”. Ryder spoke up.
“My eyes are closed. I can’t see anything”.
“Try opening them”.
“No way”. I refused bluntly.
He chuckled and I laid my head on his back sniffing in his scent. A mixture of cologne, aftershave and a whiff of cigarette.
Ryder smokes?!!
“Are we there yet?”. I yelled through the wind.
“Not yet, barbie doll”.
I opened my eyes slowly and saw passing buildings, cars, places. I quickly shut my eyes close again preferring not to see them as its kind of scary.
Soon enough, the motorcycle stopped and I slowly opened my eyes to see we are in front of an aquarium.
I chuckled lightly. “Really now? You took me to an Aquarium?”.
“I got something to show you”.
He stopped the engine and got down as he removed his helmet. He stretched his palm towards me and I took it as he helped me down.
“Phew!! That was some ride”. I told him exasperatedly.
I removed my helmet and dropped it back on the motorcycle. I turned to see Ryder admiring me or rather staring at me.
“Is something wrong?”.
He jerked back to reality. “Huh! Nothing”.
I know he was thinking about Bailey. Gosh, I better get my act together so he doesn’t figures out its me.
“So why this?”. I asked him referring to the aquarium we were standing in front of.
“Well lets just I have a liking to fishes and I’ll like you to show you my favorites”.
I arched my eyebrows. “And why me?”.
“I don’t know”. He shrugged. “I just have this odd connection with you, barbie doll”.
Oh boy!! If I spend more time with him, he’ll know its me. I don’t want that to happen.
“So you couldn’t have said that without adding ‘barbie doll’?”. I asked pretending to get annoyed.
He laughed lowly. “Come on, lets go”.
He turned and headed for the aquarium with me behind him. We got there and I held his hand intertwining our fingers.
If he was bothered about that, he didn’t say it.
As soon as we got in, I looked around at the large building. It was so huge, making me feel so smallish by just looking at it.
He took me to where the fishes are and I placed my hand on the glass staring at it.
“Do you think they are happy to be in there locked up behind the glasses?”. I asked him.
Ryder shrugged. “Probably, maybe. At least, they don’t get eaten like in the seas”.
“So where is this exotic fish you wanted to show me?”. I asked amusedly.
“It isn’t a fish”. He corrected me. “Its a sea creature”.
I rolled my eyes. “Still a fish to me”.
“There it is”.
He pointed at a black fish striped white, he or she was on his own. Just in the water.
“It isn’t moving”. I whispered. “Do you think he or she is dead?”.
“Its a he and he’s not dead”.
“So whats so special about it?”.
“It made me realize something years ago, that you can still be useful on your own without friends”. He said wistfully.
I glanced at him. “Is that you don’t have friends?”.
“That was why I left my friends”.
“Oh”. I mouthed.
“We were five but I was closer to Tyler and Seven. And then Alvin came along with his brainy friend, Sean”.
“And you guys became a crew?”.
“Yep. The only reason we became one was because we wanted to get a girl. Whoever sleeps with her first but none of us actually won that bet, still after that, we all became friends”. He narrated to me.
“Really?”.
“Yeah. A girl brought us together and a girl also separated us”.
His words resounded in my ears as I stared straight ahead at the fish. He didn’t swim, he just dangled on water staying on his own.

I packed my last books into my bag and then dropped it back on the bed bending to wear my leather boots.
I wore it and stood up examining it. I glance at Riley who was clearly glaring at me from her mirror which she was using.
I faced her. “Do you have a problem with me?”.
“No”. She dropped down her mirror. “But you will have a problem if you don’t stop what you are doing with my boyfriend”.
“And what exactly am I doing?”.
“Cut it out”. She stood up. “You got nerve, Isabella and I’m warning you. I don’t share whats mine”.
I rolled my eyes ignoring her as I took a pink hair hand packing my hair into a high ponytail. I grabbed my bag and wore it over my shoulder.
I turned to Riley. “And a little warning for you as well. Before you threaten me, try telling Alvin to stop checking me out all the time”.
“You__”.
“Bye”.
I blew her a k××s and spun around heading towards the door. I opened it and walked out closing it behind me.
I breathed out going straight out the dorm as I thought of what Riley said.
Hm. Looks like I’ll stay off Alvin for a while and focus on only my main target. Seven.
Speaking of Seven, I searched around for him. Yesterday was supposed to be our date but I ditched him squarely.
I better come up with an excuse for him.
“Ouch!!”.
I fell on my butt rubbing my head after I bumped into someone unintentionally.
“I’m sorry”.
I paused hearing that musical voice. I look up at the cute boy with blue eyes. Sean?!!.
“Are you alright?”. He asked softly.
I nodded slowly. “Yeah, I’m fine, thanks”.
“Sorry”. He repeated himself stretching his hand towards me.
I took it and he pulled me up. He repeated an apology over again and I flashed him a smile.
Someone immediately yanked his arm away from mine and I looked up surprised to see Seven.

I took it and he pulled me up. He repeated an apology over again and I flashed him a smile.
Someone immediately yanked his arm away from mine and I looked up surprised to see Seven.
“Dude”. Sean protested.
I gasped as Seven held my hand taking me away farther from Sean. I stopped following him after a while as I face him.
“What the heck was that?”. I yelled at him.
“What were you doing with him?”.
“Are you stalking me now? What was that? Huh? I was having a conversation with a friend.
“Answer my question, Isabella”.
“You are my boyfriend, you are not the boss of me. I can talk to any guy I want especially the cute ones”.
He frowned. “Really? Are you that much of a wh0r×?”.
“What did you just call me?”. I let out a scoff. “A wh0r×?”.
He breathed out. “Look, I’m sorry for saying that but were clearly flirting with him and thats__”.
“f×¢k off”. I interrupted him walking away.
He drew me back. “Come on, Isabella. Its not my fault anyways”.
“So whose fault is it?”.
“We were supposed to go a date two days ago, do you remember? But no, you didn’t bother to show up”.
I crossed my arms. “I did show up but you were too busy flirting with the waitress”.
“I wasn’t flirting with her. Its my fault she had two buttons undone and kept sticking it in my face”.
Gosh!! He never stops, does he?
I didn’t go for the dumb date and I just made up an excuse which was accidentally true.
I gaped at him. “So you actually flirted with a waitress?”.
“Wait, what?”.
“You know, Seven. I was lying, I didn’t come to the date because I knew what kind of person you are and you just added to that by confessing what you did”.
“Isabella, wait up. I’m a nice guy, girls just flaunt around me and I have no choice than to succumb”.
“Well then go meet those girls and let me be”. I told him and walked off ignoring his calls.
I smiled to myself as I walked away. I know he definitely wants me but he’s not gonna get me.
Number one, get Seven Marshall to fall for you. Its a check in that box.

I rubbed my temples as the lecturer walked of the hall after concluding with what he had said.
Oh Gosh!! How boring he was.
I sighed puffing out my breath as I packed my books placing it my bag. I took a deep breath as I yawned tiredly.
“Yeah. I think he was boring too”.
I glanced sideways to see Alvin sitting next to me as he smiled at me charmingly.
“Hey”. I smiled back. “Were you here all this while?”.
“Um. No, I sat down here just now”.
“Oh”. I breathed out. “I was beginning to think of reasons why I didn’t notice you”.
He chuckled lightly. “Really?”.
“Yeah”.
“Blue eyes”. He said all of a sudden. “I like it”.
I suddenly became aware of the fact that I was wearing contacts and that they were blue in color.
I pretended to blush. “Thanks”.
“So about that dinner you offered a week ago?”. He asked moving closer to me.
I bit my l-ips slightly. “What about it?”.
“Are you still up for it?”.
I smiled a little at the thought. “It depends on if you still want it”.
“But just so you know as friends, right?”.
“I know”. I laughed lowly. “I know you don’t want your girlfriend finding out about it”.
“Well its not like I’m cheating on her or any thing like that but Riley sometimes does things without thinking”.
“Hey!!. If you are worried about that, then don’t worry. I’ll call off the dinner”.
I really don’t wanna get on Riley’s nerves.
“Well I didn’t like the idea of disappointing you so thats why I brought it up”.
“And I’m glad you did”. I told him sincerely.
He stood up. “So since things are settled between us. Lets go? I have to meet up with Tyler at the food court”.
“I’m kinda hungry though”. I admitted.
“Great. You can tag along”.
I muttered a ‘thank you’ and stood up as I took my bag slanging it over my shoulder.
Come to think of it, Alvin is no nice. He didn’t want to cheat Riley and at the same time, he didn’t want to make me feel bad.
So sweet of him. I guess he’s off my list.
“So. Tyler is your only friend?”. I asked him as we walked out of the lecture hall.
He sighed. “Well kind of. Ryder is my friend too but I’m not his friend”.
“How so?”.
“Well lets just say I always do the talking while he always walk off”.
“Oh”. I mouthed.
“And Sean? He pay more attention to his books now than hang out with me”.
“O-kay”.
“Seven … “. He paused. “I’m still close with him but sometimes he drifts off. He doesn’t like hanging out with us whenever Katie is there”.
I arched my eyebrows. “Why?”.
“She keeps on reminding him of the fact that he caused her best friend to move out of town and Seven is really hurt by that so he prefers to focus more on screwing girls to forget about what happened”. He told me the truth.
“What happened?”.
He glanced at me. “Huh?”.
“Katie’s best friend, why did she move out of town?”.
“I can’t tell you that. I’m trying to forget about it myself too”. He said which made my heart droop.
How did all of this happen? Oh Gosh!!
“Isabella?”.
I looked ahead to see we were in the food court already and standing in front of Riley, Katie and Tyler who were sitting together.
I smiled at them. “Hey guys”.
“What are you doing here?”. Riley asked me coldly as she glared at me.
I ignored her and sat next to Katie. She held my hand giving me warm smile and I smiled in return.
“She came along with me”. Alvin replied her as he pecked her cheeks.
“So you two are getting close now, huh?”.
“She’s just been friendly”. Katie spoke up for me.
“f×¢k that”. Riley faced Alvin. “That Bitch has been trying to steal you away from me”.
I faked a gasp. “Riley? How can you say that?”.
“Isabella. Can I talk to you?”. Katie stood up and I gr0-ned inwardly.
I stood up grudgingly and she held my arm dragging me away from them taking me to a corner.
“How are you out of your mind?”. She yelled at me. “You are trying to get Alvin?”.
“What? No”.
“Then what was Riley talking about?”.
“Look, I did what you said and stopped it with Alvin. I’m not unto him anymore, not even the others, only Seven now”.
“But Riley__”.
“I don’t want her boyfriend. Alvin isn’t into me as well so why the f×¢k is she getting pissed off?”.
Katie sighed. “I just don’t want you to get in any more trouble, Bailey. You are my best friend and I’ll gladly choose you over Riley as well”.
I wanted to respond but realized Katie was staring at something behind me. I turned in shock to see Tyler standing thrre listening to us all this while.
“Huh?”. He let out a scoff. “You are Bailey?”.
