Chapter Twelve: BIRTHDAY PARTY 2
” are you being serious ” Betty growl while Elinor shoot glare to Jamie ” do you have any idea how hard it took us to draw a perfect picture of Gondor?? We were almost caught ”
” Betty, twenty silver coins is a huge money, what made you think I can afford that ” hearing Jamie voice I hand the picture to Elinor, place my hands on my hip then face her properly ” look Betty calm down, you must think because my dad is a noble that I can afford this but my allowance isn’t up to that ”
” then you don’t need the picture ” turning around we walk away ignoring her completely ” how dare she, who will take this picture now ” being completely confused we walk slowly to our home, some people may call it a mansion
” you will be meeting lord Norman this evening, how do you feel about this” Elinor ask and I look at her, she still feel sorry towards me ” look I know you have told me that you are fine with this arrangement but I can’t help to worry about you ”
” don’t worry Elinor, I will be fine, everything will be okay and fine ” smiling I look down at my wrist watch, almost six, the birthday party is by six and mama have no idea where we are…Elinor gaze met mine, her eyes widen when she stare at the watch ” hurry ” lifting our dress up we run, run with all the strength we have
Dropping the picture down I look at her ” the window, we have to dress before mama notice we are gone ” climbing through the window, we both step in, lock the door and window before discarding the dresses we are putting on
We both Finish from the bathroom the same time, I pick up a blue dress, a plain blue dress that hug all the curves in my body. My first instinct is to lift my hair in a ponytail but alpha Verdun words came back to me, he did say I look pretty with my hair lose down
Picking up a blue hair ribbon I tie it in my hair at the back before looking at Elinor, she pick up a gold coloured dress, same body hugging quality but her hair is in a messy bum ” wow, we are fast ” hearing sound of carriage we move to the window, different people from nobles family are arriving ” lip gloss” we both mumble, giggle then apply them on our lips
” Elinor, Betty ” hearing Elinor’s mother voice we rush to the door and open it gently ” you girls are look stunning ” watching her smile I just couldn’t help but to smile ” everyone is waiting downstairs for the birthday celebrants, my two lovely daughter ” mama kiss our forehead ” come, let me escort you girls down”

Stepping down the stairs, a bright light land on our body, every bodies gaze on us as we land gracefully ” you are looking stunning Betty ” lord Trevor kiss my hand the moment we step into the crowd
” you don’t need to flatter me your grace ” I mumble giving him one of my best fake smiles, his brown hair neatly comb, his green eyes fill with lust, a lust I have always notice he has for me ” if you will excuse me lord Trevor, I have to find my future companion ” pulling my hand from his, I watch his face turn to a frown
” I thought Elinor was the one getting engaged ”
” I believe not my lord ” I smile ” surely that must have been a rumor, rumors aren’t always true ”
” hmmm, you’re right Betty ” his lips tighten ” who is this lucky bastard that have steal you away from me??”
” I believe its lord Norman ” I mumble my gaze moving through the crowd ” do you think he have arrived??”
” of course not”
” excuse then ” moving away from him, mama hold my hand out of nowhere ” come Betty, is time to meet your future companion ” nodding my head she pull me to where papa is standing, a man next to him with black hair, pale pink lips, red eyes…those eyes made me to stop moving, vampires only have red eyes

” Betty are you okay ” hearing Elinor voice behind me I nod, this is for my sister..moving towards him, he lift my hand to his lips and kiss it but all I feel is irritation with him ” my lord ” I mumble faking another smile
” you look stunning just like your picture my lady ” Norman smile, flashing those white teeth
” will you permit me to go to the ladies room” I pull my hands from him ” will be back in a second” smiling I fasten my step to bathroom on the second floor, closing the door I could finally breath
” you can do this Betty, you will grow to like him, you will bear his children and will love him ” I mumble washing my hands and exhaling ” this is for my sister, she needs to find her true love ”
” how pathetic ” hearing that voice I quickly turn around, my gaze land on Verdun, how did he get in here, I didn’t hear the door open and why is he even here
” no body invited you to this party ” I growl getting angry for no reason ” I don’t want you here ”
” but you want Norman here??” He step closer and I step back ” you prefer him to me??”
” yes” my voice came out shaken when I hit the cold wall, he look down at me, his eyes seem to be locked away, hiding something, something that I will not like to know ” I do not want you to marry him ”
” why not”
” you belong to me!!” He growl holding my chin and forcing me to look at him ” you should smile only to me no one else and what’s with this seductive dress”
” you don’t like it??” The words came out before I could stop myself, biting my lower lip I look at him, he isn’t smiling, those blue eyes travel from my lips to my eyes,then back to my lips ” I love the dress but I hate when those pricks look at you like you’re still in the market”
” am not??” Furrowing my brows at him he growl even more, like am pissing him off ” how many times should I tell you that you belong to me amor” before I could argue his hands move to my waist and my face turn to a frown
” what are you doing??”
” I want to kiss you ”

” am not asking ” I open my mouth to argue only for his lips to land on mine.

Betty stood shocked as Verdun devoured her mouth, this was supposed to be her first kiss, never in her Wide dreams did she picture alpha Verdun kissing her while holding her waist!!
Her hands move to his chest, pulling and pushing him away, am getting engaged tomorrow, if anybody sees me in this condition my reputation and my family reputation will be ruined ” stop” I moan without knowing that will be a huge mistake because the moment I open my mouth he dive his tongue to meet mine making my body shiver as his hands move to my arse pulling me closer to him

Successfully pushing him back I had no idea when I slap him across the face, sign of my hand print on his face ” who do you think you are” I growl cleaning my lips ” you have no right to touch me, I do not belong to a…a..beast like you ” when the words left my mouth I watch as his face turn into a deep frown that send fear down my spine

“Yes” I mutter surprised my voice isn’t shaken or trembling ” is not your business who I wish to marry” a frown appear in my face ” I do not like you so stay out of my life Verdun” shoving him aside I move to the door ” I Dont want lord Norman cutting your head off either ” when I shoot him a glance I expected to see him looking angry but instead he is smiling
” how silly of you to think such ” I had no idea what he is talking about and I didn’t stand around to ask further ” Betty, were have you been ” Elinor appear from the crowd looking worried
” the ladies room” I smile ” I happen to spend quite a long time there for some reason ” I wink and Elinor chuckle
” come, lord Norman is looking for you ”

” the blue parlor room ”
The blue parlor room is famous for bringing two couples together, where two separate people get to know each other more and maybe even fall in love ” blue parlor room??” I mumble looking shocked ” who arrange this ”
” mama and papa did ” nodding my head Elinor take me to the room and shut the door, looking around I stare at the table set with wine and two glass cup
” you took quite a long time in the ladies room” I follow the voice to my left, lord Norman moving towards my direction with an emotionless face, for a brief second fear grip me
” I had no idea you were waiting my lord”
” of course you didn’t ” he finally smile then pull a chair out for me ” have a drink, you look flushed and your lips are awfully swollen ” my hands unconsciously move to my lips, that damn Verdun and his forceful ways
” oh that, am use to biting my lips my lord” I smile when he sit opposite me ” must be why its swollen ”
” you need not to explain yourself milady ” Norman lift the glass to his lips ” I didn’t think anything else when I mention that, I know you are not a whore ”
Trying my best not to frown, glare and yell at him I smile instead” of course not, my parents didn’t train me to be one and I will appreciate it if you don’t speak to me in such manners ” I watch his face turn to a frown but that didn’t stop me from saying more ” you sign up for this marriage not me, I will not marry someone that has no respect for me ”
” you don’t need to over react milady ” he groan ” I just dislike cheating wives, that too with Verdun” when he said that I swallow hard, did he know??? Is that why he is angry???
” I can assure you that I will not cheat on my husband but let me remind you, we are not married nor are we engaged… Right now I can do as I please” his red eyes meet mine ” concerning Verdun, I have nothing to do with him and am a lady of my words not a whore as you pin point ” standing to my feet I smile ” excuse me ”
Verdun shove his hands in his pocket as he walk out of the bathroom ” alpha, have you seen our Luna ” Nolan rush his words as he approach ” did someone hit you???”
He didn’t expect for the kiss to make him lose focus, she fit so perfect in my arms, her body melt perfecting in my arms. I almost grip those dress apart for me to have my way with her
Making her a maid will not be necessary, being a maid will mean she will be busy but a mistress means I can have her in my arms at all times

” we know that ” Mr green sound angry but that doesn’t seem to be my business ” I want Betty ”
” she is engaged ”
” do I look like someone that cares??? She will be mine, break off that marriage ” I smile ” am taking her with me to malgar first thing tomorrow morning ”
” that can’t be….” Before Mr green to complete his sentence Betty move towards our direction, she look annoyed for some reason ” what’s happening here papa, you two aren’t enjoying the party ”
” am sure they are” I mumble gaining a glare from her ” you look sexy when annoyed amor” she blush after hearing what I said, those eyes widen from annoyance and that blush have to be from embarrassment

Betty pull Elinor’s parent to a corner, more people already fill the party but that’s not her problem right now, what did Verdun say to them to make them this unorganized, scared and confused ” what’s wrong ” mumbling I look at them ” what did that man say to worry you two like this, should I beat him up ”
Mama swiftly lift her head and stare at me, worry could be seem in those eyes as she shake her head ” no my dear, you must not get on his nerve ” she rush her words ” he is not someone to mess with ”
” what do you mean??” I asked feeling worry slowly build up in me ” why are you two looking this way, what’s wrong??” My voice came out shaken, papa look at me then exhale
” alpha Verdun wants you ” papa mumble, face void of emotion ” not to marry but…..” Stepping back I shake my head cutting his sentence short, has his mistress?? That will ruin I and my family reputation

Slapping his hands off my face I look at him feeling irritation ” over my dead body, if you ever touch me or sleep with me by then I would have been dead ” I growl feeling my blood boiling ” I will never accept any of these, you might as well rape me to death ” not waiting for his reply I turn around and leave the blue parlor room
” Betty, Betty ” ignoring Elinor’s voice I hurry to my room, get rid of my dress before putting on one of my trousers, shirt and tieing my hair in a ponytail, bring out a small bag then begin packing the little I can ” Betty??” Elinor voice fill with surprise as she shut the door ” I heard what’s happening ”
” then you must know why am running ” moving to my closet I pick up the bag of silver coins, coins I have made from painting
” do you really have to go??” When she said that I stop moving then shoot her a glare ” you have always been in love with him ”
” maybe Elinor’s but he doesn’t feel that way, he has lust for me not love ” growling I shove the coin in my bag ” I do not love him Elinor, yes I had a crush on him but that little crush vanish the moment he wish for me to be his mistress not wife, someone that only please him in the bed, someone discard able ”
” what about me??” Elinor cried silently ” what will I do if you leave ”
” I don’t know but if they try forcing you into any marriage run, run out of here and find what you want, I promise to come back and check on you” pulling her in for a hug I fought back tears ” maybe this way I can start searching for my brother, maybe he is alive somewhere. Maybe he is also looking for me”
Elinor nod then withdraw from the hug, she clean her tears ” yes, you need to leave, I will not wish for you to be anyone mistress, you deserve better ” Elinor smile touching my cheek ” I will miss you and your naked men painting ”

” you loved it “we chuckle before I jump out through the window, music still loud even when one of the birthday celebrant is running away. Refusing to look back I ran away, far away from Verdun, far from the man I hate
Far from the man I keep seeing my future with, from the man whose lips touched mine first, from the man that wish to ruin my life
I won’t regret this, my only prayer is for him not to search for me.
