Chapter Nine: YOU’RE MINE TONIGHT
Betty finally arrived in bligor, the carriage which the delivery man used also entered the same time, high jumping seem to be really a good skill if you need to be somewhere real quick ” is now or never Betty” I mumble to myself before high jumping to the roof of the lord room, I watch the man standing at the gate collect the file then move to the building am standing on.
Looking round the place I frown, guards are everywhere if am to show myself I know am done for, the gate man walk out of the building and I know this is my chance, I have to jump into that room through the window and by the time the guard standing close there look to his left I quickly jump in
The whole room empty, my gaze move to his bed then beside it we have a table which the file was drop. Not hesitating I quickly change it then decide to pass through the door because of the painting that caught my eyes in the hallway.
A naked man and a woman just hugging on the bed, I haven’t painted anything of this sort before, the way the colours combined, the blush in the girls face, the love in his eyes, that’s what Elinor want, she want to find love before marrying and as a good sister I should be able to give her that
Hearing several footsteps approach I quickly move down the hall thinking of how to escape but when I heard another footstep approaching from my front I enter the only room in that area before locking it up.
Gasping I try calming down by removing my face mask, my eyes roam round this room, the lights are dim, walls painted black, the room felt sad and lonely, feels Scarry.
Hearing the water in the bathroom run more fear kick in, I can’t go out of here, guards are out side and I don’t see any window in sight to jump from, how can a room not have a window????
When the running water stop in the bathroom I hurry to the only place that came to my mind to hide, the closet but by the time I realized how stupid my decision are the door to the bathroom open.
Mama have always told me from time that if you’re in a difficult situation and they is nothing you can do is to let what’s to happen, happen…like she always say ‘Everything happens for a reason ‘
When the stranger approach the closet I clench Elinor file to my beating chest, the clock in the room made a sound for you to realize its 12 and am officially eighteen.
For some weird reason my heart could not stop beating so I close my eyes and at that moment the closet open so did my eyes and my body shook with pleasure and fear.
Alpha Verdun is standing and glaring at me with only towel wrap around his waist, his blue eyes burning into my green eyes.
Today have been a hell of a day, maybe if I have killed that bastard he might have shut the fuck up about the whole incident, even during the shower I knew someone entered my room, being a lycan means I have high smelling trait and from the scent I knew it was a she.
But that didn’t make me rush myself from the bath, I took my time listen to her beating heart from few miles away, is it another maid for me to fuck before leaving this stupid place???
The last thing I need is some pussy screwing up my fucking plans.
Stepping out of the bathroom I cover my nose at the intensity of this woman scent and surprisingly I liked it, my wolf liked it a lot. Picking up a towel I wrap it around my waist before moving to the closet where she hid herself
From all the places to find, I shake my head, quietly laughing at her stupidness.
opening the doors to the closet I couldn’t help to frown and glare down at the little thing standing in front of me, her eyes widen from shock but her body, it shake from something else.
She wore men clothes, black trouser, black shirt and her dark long hair tied in a ponytail…I watch the way her green eyes take me in and in no time her face redden but I was not pleased.
This scent, I have perceived it before, this green eyes remind me of who I couldn’t save but then her scent seem to be intoxicating and I want to inhale it even more.
Leaning close I drop my head on her neck, she flinch but they was no place to run to, I inhale and exhale. Have the gods finally decided to give me my own mate??
When I withdraw and look at the necklace around her neck I frown the more and the words came out harsh than I expected ” who the fuck are you ” I watch how she jump back and clench her hands on the file she place at her chest.
I have always been a hard man, don’t know how to talk to a woman calmly, have never really cared how a woman feel and I don’t want one little girl to change that fact ” I…we..me….I mean ” she clear her throat, her cheek turn even more red if that’s possible, her hands move to her face and she frown ” you’re seeing my face” she said more to herself
” Betty” I growl just to know if it is her and when she look to my direction am certain and angry.
” how do you know my name???”
” out” I step aside while she rush out of the closet ” don’t even think of running off, you’re mine tonight ” I didn’t miss the way her eyes widen at what I said and how she took ten steps away from me with every intension of running away but she didn’t because if she did the guards will get to find her and I want to know what brought her here.
For some odd reason, I find interest in that and when I grab a trouser from my closet and turn to her direction she is hold my sword in her hands, looking more fierce compare to before ” don’t think I can’t use this ” she growl then gain a smile from me.

Chapter Ten: YOU BELONG TO ME
Verdun furrow his brows at her, her long hair already lose from the high ponytail, green eyes glittering with mischief while she gasp from that luscious lips of hers which made me come to one conclusion, I want to kiss her ” turn around ” I mumble and she fake a laugh
” you seriously think I will turn around???” She shake her head ” am not stupid ”
” fine” losing the towel off my waist I stand naked, her eyes widen more before quickly averting her gaze to my face ” wh…wh..wh.what are you doing ” she stammer moving back only to stop when she hit the door
” I asked you to turn around didn’t I??” Grabbing my boxers I put that on before wearing my trouser and running my hands through my hair ” now, tell me why you were in my bathroom ” before she could blink I move to her, pining her to the door.
Her lips part slightly, I know pinning her this way isn’t necessary but then I love it when her cheek redden, when those green eyes widen from surprise and the way her chest rise and fall
Tucking her hair behind her ears I lean and whisper ” I like your hair lose down, you look more pretty ” when I withdraw, her cheek turn even more red ” okay, give me that ” collecting the sword from her I throw it to my bed before moving my attention back to her ” why are you here ”
” I need space” she bend down and quickly escape from me ” first, I owe you no explanation, it was a mistake am even here and I need to go like right now” she rush her words and I will be lying if I mumble that I heard what she said, those lips are distracting
Leaning on the door I lick my lips before looking at her ” I want to kiss you ”
” what???” She half scream before taking ten steps back ” kiss who??”
” they is only two of us here amor ”
” amor???” She repeated my words but I know she doesn’t know the meaning of it ” don’t you dare come close you beast ” she growl when I start moving, exhaling I stop three step from her, her gaze lower to my chest, my abs then back to my face ” why aren’t you putting on a shirt??”
” do you want me to??” I asked and she nod muttering a yes from her lips. I move to my closet grab a shirt then put it on, leaving four buttons undone ” now since I obeyed you, you have to do the same ”
” this is not a game” she sound worried ” I have to be home before dawn ”
” why were you here amor ” I asked losing my little patience
” what does that mean ”
” answer my damn question ” I growl and she flinch, fear register in her eyes, I don’t want her getting scared of me, when she was little she wasn’t even scared to touch me
” is non of your business ” she growl and I retreat back to my bed, sitting down and looking tired. Today have been a stressful day for me, I am so exhausted but this girl is making things really difficult
Looking at her, she remain where she is, her eyes moving from one position to another, looking for a window?? They is no window, I don’t need a damn window and that’s the main reason I close it up. The only way to get out of here is through that door but if she move out the guards will get hold of her ” looks like you’re spending the night with me amor ”
” my name is not amor ” she groan, her voice mix with annoyance
” but it suit you ” I smile at her ” I like it for you ”
” am engaged ” she blurt it out like she is guilty of something which made me chuckle deeply, when last did I laugh?? Centuries ago??
” not anymore amor” I mumble ” you belong to me now ” I watch her legs shake slightly, she must be tired of standing ” come, sit here” a smile form in my lips ” I don’t bite unless you want me to ” I wink gaining a blush from her blush and I have notice something

” I need to go ” she move to the door, I didn’t stop her not because I can’t but because it is too stressful, she pick up her mask, put it on, exhale then out of the room
Guards scream erupt in the palace but at the end of everything she left without telling me why she was here
Laying down I close my eyes feeling more tired and weak
Betty slowly enter her room, the light went on revealing a worried Elinor ” are you okay ” she rush to my side and I nod ” what happened, you look flushed.” Her gaze search mine ” don’t tell me you were caught??” Shaking my head I hand her file to her, take off the mask then sit on the bed
” how did dinner go??” Changing the subject Elinor give me a hard stare before answering
” I told mama and papa about it ” Elinor nod when she saw my shock expression ” they didn’t fuss about it, they just nod and say you should do what makes you happy” Elinor hold my hand ” will this make you happy?? Am I ruining your life??”
” am going to be fine Elinor ” flashing her a smile I yawn feeling tired from everything that happened today ” I just need sleep before tomorrow party, lord Norman will attend it so I need my beauty sleep ”
” okay ”
Turning to the other direction I close my eyes and her questions repeat itself in my head, will this make you happy?? Alpha Verdun appearing in my life is complicating things for me and he also look so familiar, like I have seen him before somewhere
His words keep ringing in my head ‘ I want to kiss you ‘ alpha Verdun have been my crush since I was sixteen, will I be happy with lord Norman when alpha Verdun live in the same palace

Using the pillow I hit my face, why am I thinking of this, am soon going to be engage to lord Norman ” are you okay ” Elinor worried voice brought me back from my thinking, nodding I refuse to look at her ” am fine”

Chapter Eleven: BIRTHDAY PARTY 1
Verdun move gracefully to the dining hall where lord Norman usually have his breakfast, yesterday have been a fun day for him and all that is because of his amor ” morning alpha Verdun ” lord Norman stand to his feet the moment Verdun come to view then bow down.
Waving my hands at Norman I yawn still looking tired ” I heard you’re getting engaged Norman ” pulling a chair out I sit down and open my food
” yes do tell us ” Edward and Nolan quickly join the breakfast table
” well, is better if you all attend the party, today is her eighteen birthday, it will be a grand party ” Norman smile ” our engagement will be held tomorrow ”
” aren’t you eager to get married ” i mumble shoving another meat into my mouth ” is she pretty??” Norman red eyes meet mine ” hey, am not trying to take your bride unless she is worth it ” winking he growl looking annoyed.
” not again alpha Verdun, this woman should be left for me ” Norman plead, he must be joking, thinking I will want a thing from his wife to be.
” let me take a look at her photo then ” Norman hand a file to me, it look similar to the one Betty clinch to last night. Opening it I pull out the picture and frown, what is my amor doing here
She told me she was engaged not getting engaged! ” hmm” pulling out the rest I stare at her full name, Betty green. The green family were known for being humble and wealthy, one of the nobles in bligor village ” the green family huh ” handing it back to Norman I suddenly lose appetite to eat.
Betty beautiful face come to view again, the way she smiled at me, how her eyes widen, how she blush at every little thing I did, she look so flushed yesterday that if anyone see her they will think I already turn her to a woman.

One more question keep bugging me, why was she here, did she plan on changing the file with someone else or did she change it from someone else to hers before entering my room.

” I mean she is your mate” Edward argued and I simply shrug ” so what if she is my mate, I don’t like her character, they may be a mate bond but not love, I don’t love her”
” because you believe love doesn’t exist “Nolan mumble and I think for a second not sure if he is right
” not because of that ” sipping my juice i mutter ” it may be among the reasons but the main thing is that, she act like a man and I like my ladies soft and fragile…waiting for me to help them out ”
Edward scoff ” everyone know you hate fragile things, you’re looking for a reason to push your mate away, our luna ”
” why on earth will I push her away?? Don’t you idiots know how a mate bond work, she will be by my side as my mistress not wife ” smiling I shrug at their stupid face ” look she is currently engaged to Norman and it sure will be interesting to break them off, she will stay by my side not as a wife but a maid, that will fit her better. Mistress is too good for her ”
” how do you plan to make that happen “Nolan ask ” if she is engage to lord Norman means she is from the green household, those nobles will never give up their child ”
” do I look like someone that care??” Furrowing my brows I growl ” I won’t be in bligor forever, my work is done here and I need to head to malgar, my territory not this unpleasant place ”
” I will love to see how this will play out then” Edward chuckle ” mate bond is stronger than what you think alpha, we might even call that love ”
” and we will not agree about your decision ” Nolan argued ” she is our Luna and we have a right to her ”
I scoffed becoming more irritated at this conversation “put these in your thick heads, she belong to me, only me. You block heads don’t have any right to her, not even your finger should touch her hair ” watching them pout their lips like babies I growl ” things will definitely work out how I plan it to. Get that”
” yes alpha ” they both groan looking defeated and for some reason my heart seem happy that I will see her tonight, my body seem to be on fire that only her can quench. I have come to one conclusion
I will kiss her tonight.
