Chapter Three: DEATH COMES WHEN NO ONE EXPECT
Waking up little Betty cover her eyes from the light emitting from her windows, i couldn’t get enough sleep due to how i kept running for that man, sitting up I slowly move to the bathroom, brush my teeth, shower, put on a red dress, tied a black ribbon around my hair before rushing downstairs
” wow, aren’t you happy to go to school today ” Brandon look into my eyes ” how old are you again Betty ”
” ten”
” good, no boys till you’re thirty “Brandon voice has a hint of warning in them and mama just chuckle ” by eighteen suitors will be visiting frequently ” mama move from the kitchen arranging the table for breakfast ” our Betty is a beautiful girl, you shouldn’t be surprise Brandon ”
” but mama I don’t wish to get married that early ” moving to the dining room I pull out a chair and seat ” I want to have a job and be independent ”
” what do you know about marriage and working Betty, you’re just ten ” papa mumble sitting down and opening his plate ” what ever decision we make for you is better and right ”
” what about Brandon”
” am a man Betty ” he flash me his annoying white teeth ” I get to choose when I get married ” rolling my eyes I eat half of my food knowing I have to take some for that man in the woods
” mama can I take some food to school today”
” of course Betty, anything for you ” smiling I rush to the kitchen, take enough food, grab my bag from the living room and head out of the house
” Betty, wait up !!!” Eliza yell behind me, she rush up to my side gasping ” what are you up to, that’s the way to the school not there ” I nod at my only friend then pull her close for a secret
” I met a huge man in that forest, he was injured and I think he needs food” Eliza eyes fill with curiosity as I show her the necklace round my neck ” he gave me this has thanks ”
” that will cost a lot Betty” Eliza gasp ” hurry up, let meet this man” giggling she run into the forest so did i, taking our time in exploring the whole place but when we arrive where I saw him last he isn’t here anymore but my blanket and pillow remain there ” he left ” I mumble and Eliza pick up my belongings
” well, looks like he found help Betty ” looking at Eliza I pout my lips ” I know, you took a lot of food for him ”
” I should drop it here for any animal that need it ” Eliza nod and I did just that ” let’s go, we must be late already ”
” yes but I can’t help but wonder, what if this stranger you met is a vampire, came here to see if dream walkers still exist to steal our life force” Eliza mumble, and I shake my head ” you know mama always talk about these vampires and wolfs just for us to stay away from the forest right and why will they want our life force ”
” yes, you’re right Betty, must be a lonely human, let’s hurry ” moving out of the forest, screams caught our attention ” what’s happening?? ” Eliza run and I had to run after her, my heart beating fast
Arriving in the village, smoke is everywhere, people running with fire all over their body, some dead on the floor, running back home, the door is already open, blood everywhere, mama is laying on the couch while papa on the floor
Walking in I couldn’t scream, tears flow from my eyes, my body trembling, finding it hard to breath I gasp, still feeling terrified by the whole thing happening
Little bunny hop towards me, lifting the rabbit in my arms I move out of the house, tall men putting on red are everywhere sinking their teeth into the villagers body, killing them
I watch Eliza being killed, her head pull out of her body, the killer turn and his gaze met mine but by then I already run towards the forest, night creatures do exist, they killed my family, everybody in my life
Missing a step I fall my hand hitting a branch and dislocating ” Ahhhh” I scream before covering my mouth, it hurt so much, tears flow from my eyes
” she ran into here”
” she look so fresh, her blood must be delicious ”
Hearing their voice I tried standing to my feet and continue running, bunny remain in my arms safe, I will do anything to keep him safe but before I could jump another branch a hand grab my hair and pull me back, my head hitting a tree
Turning to face them I begged ” don’t hurt him” holding bunny tight they giggle loudly ” we won’t hurt him little one, just you, we want to hurt you ”
” but why” I cried, my hand hurt a lot ” mama said killing is a sin and you will go to hell ”
” but we are already in hell” the one with red eyes bend down and look at me smiling ” why don’t you let me take a little sip of your life force and go ”
” but then I will die ” I cried more ” I don’t want to die ” he hold my chin and made me look at him ” you’re special little one and your blood will do me a great favour, your life force will benefit me ” if I have learnt anything in my whole life is that when someone lick his lip mean whatever he is about to taste is delicious
He lean close to bite my neck but stop mid way, it look like he is struggling to come closer but couldn’t ” the amethyst, who gave you that necklace ” the man growl at my face and I flinch, more tears flowing from my eyes ” grab her, we will find a way to take off that damn necklace off her body” a huge man move towards me, grabbing me by the hair, I scream in pain before he use his hands and knock me out.

Chapter Four: BEING A PRISONER 1
she felt her body being tossed into a dark room, sound of the door being locked as the man footsteps fade away ” bunny???” Feeling my rabbit move into my arms I cry from the pain spreading from my broken arm and the lost of my parents and my whole clan, we were living in peace and joy
After that stranger entered our forest, bad things happen, was he the cause of everything, did they bring him to find out if dream walkers truly exist and if they are living in this village
Was I being stupid healing him?? My head hurt from all these little question, am all alone in this world now ” miss are you okay ” hearing a little boy voice I turn around, he move close to me and touch my face, his hands move to my mouth then my ears. He is blind ” don’t worry, we will get out of here ”
” how??” I didn’t know him but if he talked about getting out of here I will participate in whatever it is ” we are many, they took our eyes, they will soon take our life and we will be gone ” I move back when other children came out repeating the same things ” your eyes will soon be gone too!!!”
Covering my ears I close my eyes and I scream loudly, my body trembling from fear ” come here ” another huge man grab me by my hair and out of that particular cell to another, throwing me once again
Remaining still I listen to the cell being locked ” are you okay ” this time a girl voice mumble behind me, closing my eyes I hold bunny close not wishing to talk ” don’t be scared, am not one of those kid ”
Turning around I look at her, she has long blond hair, brown eyes and big, just like my brother ” come” she open her arms and I run into it crying, I never saw my brother dead body, is he still alive???
” am kaia, what’s your name ??” She asked but before I could answer she pull my arm in a swift movement before fixing it back, I scream out of pain but she cover my mouth with her hands ” sorry, I just fixed your arm” she rob my back gently
Breathing I relax ” am Betty” I mumble ” why are we here, how do we get out of here, do we stay in here forever ”
” no ” I look up at her ” I have tried to get out of here, I was brought in when I was twelve and now am eighteen, the security is tight”
” are you a dream walker???”
She shake her head ” am a witch ” I watch her smile before her gaze lower to the necklace around my head ” amethyst, who gave that to you ” looking at the necklace I frown, why do people keep asking that question
” a stranger ” I mumble since I forgot his name ” those vampires can sense it when you’re dream walker, it might have taken a long time for me to get out of here but I will help you in leaving ”
” how ??”
She place her hands on my head, looking at her, her eyes become white for a few seconds then she withdraw ” fate will continue from here”
” fate???” I look at kaia ” was it fate doing that my family meet death so soon?? If it is then I hate faith ”
” you shouldn’t, she is kind??”
” she??”
” yes, the goddess of hope” kaia smile ” everything happen for a reason you know ” bunny hop to my lap and I pat its body, mama always say that too, everything happens for a reason
” do God exist ”
” God?? Are you a Christian?? ”
” that’s what mama call us, we who attend church are Christians ” I mumble then look at kaia who shake her head ” to me Zeus exist, he created creatures like us while God create only humans ”
” oh ”
The cell open once again, the same man with red eyes stare at me ” come” his voice Scarry, not wishing for them to grab me I stand up still holding bunny then walk behind them, looking around, each cell are fill with different creatures, some Scarry, some beautiful ” what do you people want from me??” My voice almost like a whisper
He stop, turn then look at me ” your scent is different ” he move closer and hold my hand ” did that witch touch you “I almost nod but then doing that will put kaia in trouble, shaking my head his red eyes darken
” she is not a dream walker ” a man with white long hair approach, the red eye man bow his head at him ” how could you bring me a stupid human”
” forgive me master ” he growl ” I swear I thought she was one, I sniff her some few hours before she was thrown in that witch cell ” he lift his head and stare at the man he call master ” the witch might have done something to her ”
” that could be possible ” the man with the white hair place his hand under my chin before lifting my face to look at him, his eyes also red ” you are one fine looking girl, I could put you to use ” he smile flashing his white teeths ” call me Deccan, your master ”
” I think we are late alpha ” Edward mumble while I bend down looking at a black hair ribbon, picking it up I sniff it, it is hers ” the whole villagers are dead, this might be the end of the dream walkers clan ”
” no ” my voice came out rough ” she is alive, taken by one of deccan men, I want that little girl alive and brought to me”
” why alpha, pardon my asking ” Nolan his omega asked, his blue eyes glitter with curiosity, looking at the village I frown, angry with myself that I could not make it in time to help her
” I owe her ” my answer simple ” she save me and I plan to do the same for her, the necklace will prevent them from having her life force but that doesn’t mean they can’t hurt her ”
” whoever this girl is, she sure is lucky to have you on her side ” Edward chuckle and I frown
” am not on her side ” I growl ” I just hate owing people ”

Chapter five: BEING A PRISONER 2 (VERDUN LETTER )
” my master??” Betty voice came out low and confuse ” how can I serve who kill my parents ” looking up at the man he chuckle deeply then shake his head still smiling ” you little thing, you have a sharp tongue for your age ” he hold my hand then pull me close to him, his face one inch away from mine ” I like you little one”
” but I don’t like you ” stepping back I shake my head ” you killed my mama and papa ”
” that’s true” deccan look sad ” I feel sad, if you give me that necklace I will let you go, I won’t harm you or your little rabbit ” looking at his face my gaze move to the other man standing beside me.
The necklace is protecting me from them, giving them my necklace I might die. I shake my head holding bunny tight, Deccan look annoyed, his hands move to my hair, holding it tight and I scream in pain as his nails scratch my skull ” you will do as I say”
” no!!” I scream, tears flowing from my eyes, silence fell that the only sound you could hear is that of my whimpering, he let go of my hair then grab bunny from my hands ” don’t hurt him!!” I begged but he only smirk widely.
” give me the necklace and I will stop ” remaining still I watch him pull out bunny tiny hands, his foot then heart, tears keep flowing freely as I fall to the floor ” bunny!!” I cry, my body trembling from everything that’s happening ” will you give me that necklace now or you want to suffer more ”
” mama said…” Sniffing I look up at him ” is wrong to hate people so I won’t hate you” the both men burst out laughing like I said something funny, remaining still, Deccan smile.
” Knox” Deccan look at the other man ” take her to the punishment room, deal with her till she find it hard to breath ” watching Knox nod he grab my hand and pull me with him towards a cold room, grip my clothes off my body leaving me naked with only the necklace on before pushing me in.
Hugging my arm to my self I rob my body, it feels like I have been thrown into a refrigerator, I couldn’t help but to shiver ” release it ” before I could react, the ceiling above open as cold water pour down on my body, it won’t stop, my body kept shivering from how cold the water is, I couldn’t breath probably and by the time the water fill the whole room, I held my breath hitting the door.
My stamina was slowly reducing, my whole body feels weak and when I know am about to give up the ghost, tiny holes appear beneath my feet, pulling the water into them.
Coughing I place my hands on my chest trying to catch my breath as I vomit water, Knox move towards my direction then bend down to my level ” hand over the necklace ” coughing I shake my head but one thought remain, handing them the necklace I will die, do not hand it to them I will still die.
Why not give it to them then die a quick death ” still stubborn little one ” Knox grab me by the hair and made me look at him, his red eyes darken from anger ” what did that witch do to you, how come I can’t perceive a dream walker scent from you ”
” maybe am not a dream walker ”
He frown, grab my hair, pulling me on the floor to where ever he is taking me to, it feels like he is pulling my hair from my skull, blood flow to my forehead, the pain is too much and I think I might die soon.
Throwing me into the room, I look around the whole place, so dark I could barely see a thing, hugging my knee to my naked body I remain still ” spend the night here and be careful, skeletons and spiders are everywhere.. Tomorrow we continue with your torment ” with that he close the door.
Bending my head I cry silently, why is all these happening to me??? Where is my brother, is he dead, alive?? If he is alive where is he??
Will faith allow me to die in here, if I pray to the goddess of hope will I be saved, mama said we should only pray to god but where was he when they were been killed.
Do he really exist
Was mama doing the right thing by going to church always
Maybe kaia is right
God create humans while Zeus create beings like us, we should pray to Zeus instead, maybe this time my prayers will be answered
Deccan walk into his study room, the black raven standing by his window side caught his attention, a note attach to its foot, moving towards the window he grab the bird before untying the letter and opening it wide.
I DO NOT APPRECIATE IT WHEN MY PERSON IS TAKEN AWAY FROM ME NOR WILL I TOLERATE IT IF ANYTHING HAPPEN TO MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BETTY. BE WARNED.
squeezing the letter I throw it out of the window, only one person could talk to me this way, Verdun, one of the Dawson brothers ” Knox!!!” Growling I begin to pace in the room, that little girl belong to him, that’s his precious thing.
” master” hearing Knox voice I fast speed towards his direction and hold him by the neck ” how could you bring Verdun precious here, do you know the kind of trouble you have caused ” adding pressure to his neck I watch his face grow pale before I let him go.
He fall down and cough ” I have no idea she belong to him, she is a small child, how am I suppose to know he holds her in big regard, I saw her in the dream walker village holding her rabbit and running into the forest ” Knox explained but the mistake is already done.
” go get her” I look at him ” find nice clothes for her and make sure you feed her then take her to a nice bed. The last thing I need right now is having my people eliminated…one more thing, bring that witch to me” I knew it was strange for her to be with such necklace, I should have realize she belongs to verdun.
” yes master” watching him leave I clench my fist, you might be leading now Verdun but you just wait, by the time I get enough life force to be strong just like you, I will show you how cruel I can be.
The door open revealing kaia ” come here ” I watch her swallow before moving towards my direction ” what did you do to that little girl ”
” I took her life force ”
” why is she still alive”
” that necklace made things a little difficult ” she mumble frowning ” for a young girl she has incredible powers” grabbing her by her hair she yelp in pain ” I told you, I took what I can!!!”
” are you trying to fool me by any chance kaia ” I growl ” don’t forget I saved you ” she hit my hands away and glare at my way
” you never saved me, you ruin my life ” hearing her voice mix with anger and hatred I smile ” what will you do to me, you’re a witch, go ahead and kill me ”
Before she could react Knox step in ” alpha Verdun is here ”
