😏Chapter 4 😏

Mimi’s pov

The way he shove that fufu into my mouth make me so angry. Who the f*ck is he to do that.

I have always find a way to trouble him. That’s for insulting me there in Nigeria. And it looks like he loves troubling and making angry everytime.

I don’t know why we always have to cross paths. He haven’t see anything yet.

Truth be told, the food was really awesome. He’s really a good cook. I turned to the food and began eating shyly.

“It looks like the food is delicious” Enita’s uncle, Mr Efe said.

I nodded and he smiled. “Yes sir, he really did well.” I replied him.

“So you can compliment me?” That annoying boy again.

I ignored him and face the food. Minutes later, I was through with the meal and ready to leave.

“Sir, thanks for the invite. I really enjoyed the meal.”

“Your welcome Mimi. Take this money for your transport” He brought out a bundle of money and handed over it to me.

“Thanks sir, y…. ”

Arrggggh!!!!!!

“Uncle what of my own? If you don’t give me, I will collect her own” I was already furious at Enita’s blurted words.

“Sir, I will be going now. This boy has problem. Real one. Maybe you should take him back to Nigeria.” I said, vexed up.

I didn’t really mean that.

“What?! Take me to where? I will fly back here by the time I borrow wings from witches then I will come and torment you first before my uncle for listening to your advise.” He growled and stuck his tongue out.

F*ck! This guy is getting on my nerves.

I did a sharp ‘Good bye sir’ to Sir Efe and walk briskly out of the house.

I sighed deeply and entered my car then drove out of the house.

I received a call from doctor Nelson to come to the hospital. There is an emergency and the patient needs to survive.

I changed my direction and in 30 minutes, I was in the hospital. I got down from the car and rush into the building.

I took my stethoscope in the office and packed my hair up. I had changed into my nurse uniform.

I have two uniforms, here in the office in case I was called like this and the other at home.

I got to the theatre room and saw a little boy gasping for breath. The doctor had given him an injection for him to calm down.

His breathing was slowed down. The doctor checked his body and took his blood in a small translucent bag.

He turned to me and let out a lopsided smile.

“Mimi, you’re here. It a good thing you came here so fast. The boy was in an unventilated room and was unable to breath well.

Thank God they bought him here, he would have just died there. So it left for you to look after him. Am going to the next patient in ward C” Doctor said and left the room.

I turned to the boy and pat his chubby cheek gently. He opened his eyes slowly and it landed on me.

“Hey, how are you feeling now?” I asked.

“Am feeling good, my throat is dry and I want to drink water.” He answered softly.

“Okay, I will go get you water. Am coming” I left the room and walk to a shop to get water for the boy.

I brought the water and gave it to the boy to drink. He did and slept afterwards. I touched his pulse to check his normal regular beat and it was okay.

Enita’s pov

My uncle was ready to leave the house and I would be the only one at home. It gonna be boring.

I need to go out and chill. I pray I don’t get lost.

“Uncle, I will be going out too. I want to go and chill.” I voice out.

“Chill? To where? Do you even know anywhere? Enita, don’t let me smack your butt for you” My uncle growled.

“Smack my butt? Am not a baby now. Am a mature baby adult.” I answered pouting.

“I don’t have your time now. And you aren’t going anywhere okay? Let me rest for Christ sake!!” He yelled and that make me flinch.

“Uncle sorry like that, you can take me to Mimi’s working place or her house when you’re coming back you will pick me. Please uncle” I pleaded with a puppy eyes.

Enita you’re looking for trouble. Serious one.

“Fine, let me call her and ask where she is” My uncle took his phone out from his pocket and dialled a number.

📱 “Mimi, are you in the hospital right now?”📱

📱”Oh… Okay. Am coming there right now. Bye.”📱

“She’s in her working place, I just hope you won’t disturb this girl and will let her concentrate”

“I won’t disturb her, I pinky promise.” I replied crossing my chest.

“Good”

Mimi wait for me till I disturb you today. Shey bi you have mouth, don’t worry am coming.

We got to the hospital. It was big, very big than the one in warri.

We entered the building and my mouth hang open in surprise. Magnificent.

“Mr Efe, good afternoon. What brings you here? You want to do check up?” A man with some strings of grey hair in his head asked.

“Oh no, I came to see Mimi. Where’s she?” My uncle replied.

“Oh.. She’s in her office, let me take you to her” The man said and we followed him.

“Sir Efe, How’s…….. Why is he here?” She asked, agitated in seeing me.

I just shrugged and sat on the swivel chair she was sitting on before.

“Seriously? Sir, why is he here?”

“Well, he said he’s gonna be bored, been alone at home. So he decided to come pay you a visit. I need to go somewhere now. Am off.” My uncle rush his words and ran off.

The doctor who took us in had gone out. Only me and her.

“Hey, get up from that now! Must you be here? Huh? Fine take the chair am out.” She growled, frustrated and walk out with a stethoscope on her neck.

I stood up and followed her behind. She was so angry that her heels were sounding annoying to my hearing.

Anywhere you go, I will follow you go. Baby Pana. 😂

She got to a ward where a little child was sleeping peacefully. I entered too and she turned to me.

“Seriously, you love disturbing someone Enita. Just let me rest.” Mimi whined.

“Okay, you want to check the boy? let me check the boy for you.” I removed the stethoscope from her neck and checked the boy.

Wondering how, I read medicine and surgery in the University but Nigeria …..I have nothing to say.

“Mimi!!.. Mimi!!, he’s….come and check your self.. The boy is…I don’t know what’s wrong with his….. ” I gulped and she collected the stethoscope from and checked the boy.

I could see her shaking before touching boy. God! I pray she doesn’t kill me.

She faced me angrily, “You really scared me!! Gosh! I thought the boy was de…..” Before I knew it, she had rush to me and was hitting me.

“You fool, don’t do that to me again. Where are from? Arghh” Her hands are so hærd.

My leg hit something and I held Mimi’s wa-ist as I fell on a long table. Realizing what was happening, she was on top of me and the worst part.

Our l-ips are touching.
